In some firmware configuration, UMR usage from Virtual Functions is restricted.
This information is published to the driver using new capability bits.
Avoid using UMRs in these cases and use the Firmware slow-path flow to create
mkeys and populate them with Virtual to Physical address translation.
Older drivers that do not have this patch, will end up using memory keys that
aren't populated with Virtual to Physical address translation that is done
part of the UMR work.

Added the following packets dropped while vport down statistics:
Rx dropped while vport down - counts packets which were steered by
e-switch to a vport, but dropped since the vport was down. This counter
will be shown on ip link tool as part of the vport rx_dropped counter.
Tx dropped while vport down - counts packets which were transmitted by
a vport, but dropped due to vport logical link down. This counter
will be shown on ip link tool as part of the vport tx_dropped counter.
The counters are read from FW by command QUERY_VNIC_ENV.

Implement set/get functions to configure PFC stall prevention
timeout by tunables api through ethtool.
By default the stall prevention timeout is configured to 8 sec.
Timeout range is: 80-8000 msec.
Enabling stall prevention with the auto timeout will set
the timeout to 100 msec.

Add the needed capability bit and counters to device spec description.
Expose the following two counters in ethtool:
tx_pause_storm_warning_events: when the device is stalled for a period
longer than a pre-configured watermark, the counter increase, allowing
the debug utility an insight into current device status.
tx_pause_storm_error_events: when the device is stalled for a period
longer than a pre-configured timeout, the pause transmission is disabled,
and the counter increase.

For the mac80211 stuff, these were fortunately just parallel
adds. Trivially resolved.
In drivers/net/phy/phy.c we had a bug fix in 'net' that moved the
function phy_disable_interrupts() earlier in the file, whilst in
'net-next' the phy_error() call from this function was removed.
In net/ipv4/xfrm4_policy.c, David Ahern's changes to remove the
'rt_table_id' member of rtable collided with a bug fix in 'net' that
added a new struct member "rt_mtu_locked" which needs to be copied
over here.
The mlxsw driver conflict consisted of net-next separating
the span code and definitions into separate files, whilst
a 'net' bug fix made some changes to that moved code.
The mlx5 infiniband conflict resolution was quite non-trivial,
the RDMA tree's merge commit was used as a guide here, and
here are their notes:

Add two new parameters: max_burst_sz and typical_pkt_size (both
in bytes) to rate limit configurations.
max_burst_sz: The device will schedule bursts of packets for an
SQ connected to this rate, smaller than or equal to this value.
Value 0x0 indicates packet bursts will be limited to the device
defaults. This field should be used if bursts of packets must be
strictly kept under a certain value.
typical_pkt_size: When the rate limit is intended for a stream of
similar packets, stating the typical packet size can improve the
accuracy of the rate limiter. The expected packet size will be
the same for all SQs associated with the same rate limit index.
Ethernet driver is updated according to this change, but these two
parameters will be kept as 0 due to lacking of proper way to get the
configurations from user space which requires to change
ndo_set_tx_maxrate interface.

BYPASS namespace is used by the RDMA side to insert flow rules into
the vport RX flow tables. Currently only 8 priorities are exposed,
increase this to 16 to allow more flexibility. This change will also
cause the BYPASS namespace to use 32 levels (as apposed to 16 today) of
flow tables, 16 levels for regular rules and 16 for don't trap rules.

Currently ESN is not supported with IPSec device offload.
This patch adds ESN support to IPsec device offload.
Implementing new xfrm device operation to synchronize offloading device
ESN with xfrm received SN. New QP command to update SA state at the
following:

^ - marks where QP command invoked to update the SA ESN state
machine.

In order to add a context to the FPGA, we need to get both the software
transform context (which includes the keys, etc) and the
source/destination IPs (which are included in the steering
rule). Therefore, we register new set of firmware like commands for
the FPGA. Each time a rule is added, the steering core infrastructure
calls the FPGA command layer. If the rule is intended for the FPGA,
it combines the IPs information with the software transformation
context and creates the respective hardware transform.
Afterwards, it calls the standard steering command layer.

The current code has one layer that executed FPGA commands and
the Ethernet part directly used this code. Since downstream patches
introduces support for IPSec in mlx5_ib, we need to provide some
abstractions. This patch refactors the accel code into one layer
that creates a software IPSec transformation and another one which
creates the actual hardware context.
The internal command implementation is now hidden in the FPGA
core layer. The code also adds the ability to share FPGA hardware
contexts. If two contexts are the same, only a reference count
is taken.

Current hardware decrypts and authenticates incoming ESP packets.
Subsequently, the software extracts the nexthdr field, truncates the
trailer and adjusts csum accordingly.
With this patch and a capable device, the trailer is being removed
by the hardware and the nexthdr field is conveyed via PET. This way
we avoid both the need to access the trailer (cache miss) and to
compute its relative checksum, which significantly improve
the performance.
Experiment shows that trailer removal improves the performance by
2Gbps, (netperf). Both forwarding and host-to-host configurations.

Currently, we don't support egress flow steering namespace in mlx5
flow steering core implementation. However, when we want to encrypt
a packet, we model it as a flow steering rule in the egress path.
To overcome this, we add an empty egress namespace to flow steering.
This namespace is initialized only when ipsec support exists.
In the future, this will grow to a full blown full steering
implementation, resembling the ingress path.

The has_tag member will indicate whether a tag action was specified
in flow specification.
A flow tag 0 = MLX5_FS_DEFAULT_FLOW_TAG is assumed a valid flow tag
that is currently used by mlx5 RDMA driver, whereas in HW flow_tag = 0
means that the user doesn't care about flow_tag. HW always provide
a flow_tag = 0 if all flow tags requested on a specific flow are 0.
So we need a way (in the driver) to differentiate between a user really
requesting flow_tag = 0 and a user who does not care, in order to be
able to report conflicting flow tags on a specific flow.

The current implementation of create CQ requires contiguous
memory, such requirement is problematic once the memory is
fragmented or the system is low in memory, it causes for
failures in dma_zalloc_coherent().
This patch implements new scheme of fragmented CQ to overcome
this issue by introducing new type: 'struct mlx5_frag_buf_ctrl'
to allocate fragmented buffers, rather than contiguous ones.
Base the Completion Queues (CQs) on this new fragmented buffer.

EQ structure and API is private to mlx5_core driver only, external
drivers should not have access or the means to manipulate EQ objects.
Remove redundant exports and move API functions out of the linux/mlx5

Before this patch the driver had one CQ database protected via one
spinlock, this spinlock is meant to synchronize between CQ
adding/removing and CQ IRQ interrupt handling.
On a system with large number of CPUs and on a work load that requires
lots of interrupts, this global spinlock becomes a very nasty hotspot
and introduces a contention between the active cores, which will
significantly hurt performance and becomes a bottleneck that prevents
seamless cpu scaling.
To solve this we simply move the CQ database and its spinlock to be per
EQ (IRQ), thus per core.
Tested with:
system: 2 sockets, 14 cores per socket, hyperthreading, 2x14x2=56 cores

The consumers of this routine expects the affinity map of of vector
index relative to the first completion vector. The upper layers are
not aware of internal/private completion vectors that mlx5 allocates
for its own usage.
Hence, return the affinity map of vector index relative to the first
completion vector.

Allow to specify the size of the hairpin queues along with the
packet buffer data size from the core setup code.
If the driver doesn't provide this, the FW applies proper value that
matches the provided data size and a FW chosen RQ stride size.

Enhance the hairpin setup code at the core to support a set of N
(RQ,SQ) pairs. This will be later used by the caller to set RSS

Adds a new page to mlx5 core containing clock info data that allows
user level applications to translate between cqe timestamp to
nanoseconds. The information stored into this page is represented
through mlx5_ib_clock_info.
In order to synchronize between kernel and user space a sequence
number is incremented at the beginning and end of each update.
An odd number means the data is being updated while an even means
the access was already done. To guarantee that the data structure
was accessed atomically user will:

The latest merge between net and net-next introduced a complier assert in
mlx5 driver. In hca_cap_bits older fields are kept along with newer
fields that should have replaced them.

mlx5_get_vector_affinity used to call pci_irq_get_affinity and after
reverting the patch that sets the device affinity via PCI_IRQ_AFFINITY
API, calling pci_irq_get_affinity becomes useless and it breaks RDMA
mlx5 users. To fix this, this patch provides an alternative way to
retrieve IRQ vector affinity using legacy IRQ API, following
smp_affinity read procfs implementation.

There are systems platform information management interfaces (such as
HOST2BMC) for which we cannot disable local loopback multicast traffic.
Separate disable_local_lb_mc and disable_local_lb_uc capability bits so
driver will not disable multicast loopback traffic if not supported.
(It is expected that Firmware will not set disable_local_lb_mc if
HOST2BMC is running for example.)
Function mlx5_nic_vport_update_local_lb will do best effort to
disable/enable UC/MC loopback traffic and return success only in case it
succeeded to changed all allowed by Firmware.
Adapt mlx5_ib and mlx5e to support the new cap bits.

Low level code to setup hairpin pair core object, deals with:
- create hairpin RQs/SQs
- destroy hairpin RQs/SQs
- modifying hairpin RQs/SQs - pairing (rst2rdy) and unpairing (rdy2rst)
Unlike conventional RQs/SQs, the memory used for the packet and descriptor
buffers is allocated by the firmware and not the driver. The driver sets
the overall data size (log).

When mlx5_ib_add is called determine if the mlx5 core device being
added is capable of dual port RoCE operation. If it is, determine
whether it is a master device or a slave device using the
num_vhca_ports and affiliate_nic_vport_criteria capabilities.
If the device is a slave, attempt to find a master device to affiliate it
with. Devices that can be affiliated will share a system image guid. If
none are found place it on a list of unaffiliated ports. If a master is
found bind the port to it by configuring the port affiliation in the NIC
vport context.
Similarly when mlx5_ib_remove is called determine the port type. If it's
a slave port, unaffiliate it from the master device, otherwise just
remove it from the unaffiliated port list.
The IB device is registered as a multiport device, even if a 2nd port is
not available for affiliation. When the 2nd port is affiliated later the
GID cache must be refreshed in order to get the default GIDs for the 2nd
port in the cache. Export roce_rescan_device to provide a mechanism to
refresh the cache after a new port is bound.
In a multiport configuration all IB object (QP, MR, PD, etc) related
commands should flow through the master mlx5_core_dev, other commands
must be sent to the slave port mlx5_core_mdev, an interface is provide
to get the correct mdev for non IB object commands.

Generate a unique 128bit identifier for each host and pass that value to
firmware in the INIT_HCA command if it reports the sw_owner_id
capability. Each device bound to the mlx5_core driver will have the same
software owner ID.
In subsequent patches mlx5_core devices will be bound via a new VPort
command so that they can operate together under a single InfiniBand
device. Only devices that have the same software owner ID can be bound,
to prevent traffic intended for one host arriving at another.
The INIT_HCA command length was expanded by 128 bits. The command
length is provided as an input FW commands. Older FW does not have a
problem receiving this command in the new longer form.

1. Enable and disable can race after the atomic operations.
2. If a command fails the refcount is left in an inconsistent state.

This patch extends the alloc context flow to be prepared for working
with dynamic UAR allocations.
Currently upon alloc context there is some fix size of UARs that are
allocated (named 'static allocation') and there is no option to user
application to ask for more or control which UAR will be used by which
QP.
In this patch the driver prepares its data structures to manage both the
static and the dynamic allocations and let the user driver knows about
the max value of dynamic blue-flame registers that are allowed.
Downstream patches from this series will enable the dynamic allocation
and the association as part of QP creation.

Congestion counters are counted and queried per physical function.
When working in LAG mode, CNP packets can be sent or received on both
of the functions, thus congestion counters should be aggregated from
the two physical functions.

When mlx5_stop_eqs fails to destroy any of the eqs it returns with an error.
In such failure flow the function will return without
releasing all EQs irqs and then pci_free_irq_vectors will fail.
Fix by only warn on destroy EQ failure and continue to release other
EQs and their irqs.

In mlx5_ifc, struct size was not complete, and thus driver was sending
garbage after the last defined field. Fixed it by adding reserved field
to complete the struct size.
In addition, rename all set_rate_limit to set_pp_rate_limit to be
compliant with the Firmware <-> Driver definition.

Before the offending commit, mlx5 core did the IRQ affinity itself,
and it seems that the new generic code have some drawbacks and one
of them is the lack for user ability to modify irq affinity after
the initial affinity values got assigned.
The issue is still being discussed and a solution in the new generic code
is required, until then we need to revert this patch.
This fixes the following issue:
echo <new affinity> > /proc/irq/<x>/smp_affinity
fails with -EIO
This reverts commit a435393aca.

it is used in mlx5_ib driver.

inside the stack such as general CQ moderation support.
Nothing really stands out, but there might be a few conflicts as you

lines as the new timer_setup changes.
Everything in this pull request has been through 0day and at least two
days of linux-next (since Stephen doesn't necessarily flag new

The QPTS register allows changing the priority trust state between pcp and
dscp. Add support to get/set trust state from device. When the port is
in pcp/dscp trust state, packet is routed by hardware to matching priority
based on its pcp/dscp value respectively.
The QPDPM register allow channing the dscp to priority mapping. Add support
to get/set dscp to priority mapping from device.
Note that to change a dscp mapping, the "e" bit of this dscp structure
must be set in the QPDPM firmware command.

NFP driver bug fix adding nfp_netdev_is_nfp_repr() check to
nfp_fl_output() needed some adjustments because the code block is in
an else block now.
Parallel additions to net/pkt_cls.h and net/sch_generic.h
A bug fix in __tcp_retransmit_skb() conflicted with some of
the rbtree changes in net-next.
The tc action RCU callback fixes in 'net' had some overlap with some
of the recent tcf_block reworking.

Previously, tc with ets type and zero bandwidth is not accepted
by driver. This behavior does not follow the IEEE802.1qaz spec.
If there are tcs with ets type and zero bandwidth, these tcs are
assigned to the lowest priority tc_group #0. We equally distribute
100% bw of the tc_group #0 to these zero bandwidth ets tcs.
Also, the non zero bandwidth ets tcs are assigned to tc_group #1.
If there is no zero bandwidth ets tc, the non zero bandwidth ets tcs
are assigned to tc_group #0.

In some benchmarks and some CPU architectures, writing the CQE on a full
cache line size improves performance by saving memory access operations
(read-modify-write) relative to partial cache line change. This patch
lets the user to configure the device to pad the CQE up to 128B in case
its content is less than 128B. Currently the driver supports only padding
for a CQE size of 128B.

Allow creation of a multi-packet receive queue.
In order to create a multi-packet RQ, the following fields in
the mlx5_ib_rwq should be set:
- log_num_strides: Log of number of strides per WQE
- single_stride_log_num_of_bytes: Log of a single stride size
- two_byte_shift_en: When enabled, hardware pads 2 bytes of zeros
before writing the message to memory (e.g. for the IP alignment).

atomic_t variables are currently used to implement reference
counters with the following properties:
- counter is initialized to 1 using atomic_set()
- a resource is freed upon counter reaching zero
- once counter reaches zero, its further
increments aren't allowed
- counter schema uses basic atomic operations
(set, inc, inc_not_zero, dec_and_test, etc.)
Such atomic variables should be converted to a newly provided
refcount_t type and API that prevents accidental counter overflows
and underflows. This is important since overflows and underflows
can lead to use-after-free situation and be exploitable.
The variable mlx5_cq.refcount is used as pure reference counter.
Convert it to refcount_t and fix up the operations.

Of note is that I'm sending you the new ioctl API for the rdma
subsystem. We put it up on linux-api@, but didn't get much response.
The API is complex, but it solves two different problems in one go:
1) The bi-directional nature of the RDMA file write calls, which
created the security hole we had to handle (and for which the fix
is now causing problems for systems in production, we were a bit
over zealous in the fix and the ability to open a device, then
fork, then create new queue pairs on the device and use them is
broken).
2) The bloat caused by different vendors implementing extensions to
the base verbs API. Each vendor's hardware is slightly different,
and the hardware might be suitable for one extension but not
another.
By the time we add generic extensions for all the different ways
that the different hardware can offload things, the API becomes
bloated. Things like our completion structs have started to exceed
a cache line in size because of all the elements needed to support
this. That in turn shows up heavily in the performance graphs with
a noticable drop in performance on 100Gigabit links as our
completion structs go from occupying one cache line to 1+.
This API makes things like the completion structs modular in a
very similar way to netlink so that your structs can only include
the items needed for the offloads/features you are actually using
on a given queue pair. In that way we support everything, but only
use what we need, and our structs stay smaller.
The ioctl API is better explained by the posting on linux-api@ than I
can explain it here, so I'll just leave it at that.

There is an issue where the firmware fails during mlx5_load_one,
the health_care timer detects the issue and schedules a health_care call.
Then the mlx5_load_one detects the issue, cleans up and quits. Then
the health_care starts and calls mlx5_unload_one to clean up the resources
that no longer exist and causes kernel panic.
The root cause is that the bit MLX5_INTERFACE_STATE_DOWN is not set
after mlx5_load_one fails. The solution is removing the bit
MLX5_INTERFACE_STATE_DOWN and quit mlx5_unload_one if the
bit MLX5_INTERFACE_STATE_UP is not set. The bit MLX5_INTERFACE_STATE_DOWN
is redundant and we can use MLX5_INTERFACE_STATE_UP instead.

Set the field to allow posting multi packet send WQEs if hardware
supports this feature. This doesn't mean the send WQEs will be for
multi packet unless the send WQE was prepared according to multi
packet send WQE format.
User space shall use flag MLX5_IB_ALLOW_MPW to check if hardware
supports MPW and allows MPW in SQ context.

Set underlay QPN as part of flow rule when it's applicable.
There is one root flow table in the NIC RX namespace and all the
underlay QPs steer the traffic to this flow table.
In order to prevent QP to get traffic which is not target to its
underlay QP, we need to set the underlay QP number as part of
the steering matching.
Note:
When multicast traffic is sent the QPN filtering is done by the firmware
as some early step. Adding the QPN match on the flow table entry is
wrong as by that time the target QPN holds the multicast address (e.g.
FF(s)) and it won't match.

This patch is the first step in decoupling UMR usage and
allocation from the MR cache. The only functional change
in this patch is to enables UMR for MRs created with
reg_create.
This change fixes a bug where ODP memory regions that
were not allocated from the MR cache did not have UMR
enabled.

The current code stores fte_match_param in the software representation
of FTEs and FGs. fte_match_param contains a large reserved area at the
bottom of the struct. Since downstream patches are going to hash this
part, we would like to avoid doing so on a reserved part.

Add outbound_pci_buffer_overflow to ethtool output for monitoring the
number of packets that were dropped due to lack of PCIe buffers on
receive path from NIC port toward the host(s).
This counter is valid only in case that tx_overflow_buffer_pkt is
supported in MCAM enhanced features.

The UDP offload conflict is dealt with by simply taking what is
in net-next where we have removed all of the UFO handling code
entirely.
The TCP conflict was a case of local variables in a function
being removed from both net and net-next.
In netvsc we had an assignment right next to where a missing
set of u64 stats sync object inits were added.

generic api takes care of spreading affinity similar to
what mlx5 open coded (and even handles better asymmetric
configurations). Ask the generic API to spread affinity
for us, and feed him pre_vectors that do not participate
in affinity settings (which is an improvement to what we
had before).
The affinity assignments should match what mlx5 tried to
do earlier but now we do not set affinity to async, cmd
and pages dedicated vectors.
Also, remove mlx5e_get_cpu and introduce mlx5e_get_node
(used for allocation purposes) and mlx5_get_vector_affinity
(for indirection table construction) as they provide the needed
information. Luckily, we have generic helpers to get cpumask
and node given a irq vector. mlx5_get_vector_affinity will
be used by mlx5_ib in a subsequent patch.

Read new NIC capability field which represnts 16 MSBs of the max flow
counters number supported (max_flow_counter_31_16).
Backward compatibility with older firmware is preserved, the modified
driver reads max_flow_counter_31_16 as 0 from the older firmware and
uses up to 64K counters.
Changed flow counter id from 16 bits to 32 bits. Backward compatibility
with older firmware is preserved as we kept the 16 LSBs of the counter
id in place and added 16 MSBs from reserved field.
Changed the background bulk reading of flow counters to work in chunks
of at most 32K counters, to make sure we don't attempt to allocate very
large buffers.

When mlx5_ib registers itself to mlx5_core as an interface, it will
call mlx5_add_device which will call mlx5_ib interface add callback,
in case the latter successfully returns, only then mlx5_core will add
it to the interface list and async events will be forwarded to mlx5_ib.
Between mlx5_ib interface add callback and mlx5_core adding the mlx5_ib
interface to its devices list, arriving mlx5_core events can be missed
by the new mlx5_ib registering interface.
In other words:

Multi-Physical Function Switch (MPFs) is required for when multi-PF
configuration is enabled to allow passing user configured unicast MAC
addresses to the requesting PF.
Before this patch eswitch.c used to manage the HW MPFS l2 table,
E-Switch always (regardless of sriov) enabled vport(0) (NIC PF) vport's
contexts update on unicast mac address list changes, to populate the PF's
MPFS L2 table accordingly.
In downstream patch we would like to allow compiling the driver without
E-Switch functionalities, for that we move MPFS l2 table logic out
of eswitch.c into its own file, and provide Kconfig flag (MLX5_MPFS) to
allow compiling out MPFS for those who don't want Multi-PF support.
NIC PF netdevice will now directly update MPFS l2 table via the new MPFS
API. VF netdevice has no access to MPFS L2 table, so E-Switch will remain
responsible of updating its MPFS l2 table on behalf of its VFs.
Due to this change we also don't require enabling vport(0) (PF vport)
unicast mac changes events anymore, for when SRIOV is not enabled.
Which means E-Switch is now activated only on SRIOV activation, and not
required otherwise.

RQs that were configured for "delay drop" will prevent packet drops
when their WQEs are depleted.
Marking an RQ to be drop-less is done by setting delay_drop_en in RQ
context using CREATE_RQ command.
Since this feature is globally activated/deactivated by using the
SET_DELAY_DROP command on all the marked RQs, we activated/deactivated
it according to the number of RQs with 'delay_drop' enabled.
When timeout is expired, then the feature is deactivated. Therefore
the driver handles the delay drop timeout event and reactivate it.

When delay drop timeout is expired, the firmware raises
general notification event of DELAY_DROP_TIMEOUT subtype.
In addition the feature is disable so the driver have to
reactivate the timeout.

Add support to SET_DELAY_DROP command.
This command will be used in downstream patches for delay packet drop.
The timeout value should be indicated by delay_drop_timeout field.
Packet processing will be delayed till timeout value passed or until
more WQEs are posted.
Setting this value to 0 disables the feature.

When a user sets port_guid, node_guid or policy of an IB virtual
function, save this information in "struct mlx5_vf_context".
This information will be restored later when pci_resume is called.
To make sure this works, one can use aer-inject to generate PCI
errors on mlx5 devices and verify if relevant fields are restored
after PCI resume.

Add Software-parser hardware descriptor layout
Software-Parser (swp) is a hardware feature in ConnectX which allows the
host software to specify protocol header offsets in the TX path, thus
overriding the hardware parser.
This is useful for protocols that the ASIC may not be able to parse on
its own.
Note that due to inline metadata, XDP is not supported in Innova IPSec.

Add routines for manipulating the hardware IPSec SA database (SADB).
In Innova IPSec, a Security Association (SA) is added or deleted
via a command message over the SBU connection.
The HW then sends a response message over the same connection.
Add implementation for Innova IPSec (FPGA-based) hardware.
These routines will be used by the IPSec offload support in a later patch
However they may also be used by others such as RDMA and RoCE IPSec.
mlx5/accel is a middle acceleration layer to allow mlx5e and other ULPs
to work directly with mlx5_core rather than Innova FPGA or other mlx5
acceleration providers.
In this patchset we add Innova IPSec support and mlx5/accel delegates
IPSec offloads to Innova routines.
In the future, when IPSec/TLS or any other acceleration gets integrated
into ConnectX chip, mlx5/accel layer will provide the integrated
acceleration, rather than the Innova one.

Add interface to initialize and interact with Innova FPGA SBU
connections.
A client driver may use these functions to set up a high-speed DMA
connection with its SBU hardware logic, and send/receive messages
over this connection.
A later patch in this patchset will make use of these functions for
Innova IPSec offload in mlx5 Ethernet driver.
Add commands to retrieve Innova FPGA SBU capabilities, and to
read/write Innova FPGA configuration space registers and memory,
over internal I2C.
At high level, the FPGA configuration space is divided such:
0x00000000 - 0x007fffff is reserved for the SBU
0x00800000 - 0xffffffff is reserved for the Shell
0x400000000 - ... is DDR memory
A later patchset will add support for accessing FPGA CrSpace and memory
over a high-speed connection. This is the reason for the ACCESS_TYPE
enumeration, which currently only supports I2C.

The Innova FPGA includes shell hardware and Sandbox-Unit (SBU) hardware.
The shell hardware is handled by mlx5_core itself, while the SBU is
handled by a client driver.
Reset the SBU to a well-known initial state when initializing a new
device, and set the FPGA to bypass mode when uninitializing a device.
This allows the client driver to assume that its device has been
reset when a new device is detected.
During SBU reset, the FPGA is put into SBU-bypass mode. In this mode
packets do not pass through the SBU, so it cannot affect the network
data stream at all.
A factory-image does not have an SBU, so skip these flows.

The FPGA QP is a high-bandwidth communication channel between the host
CPU and the FPGA device. It allows performing DMA operations between
host memory and the FPGA logic via the ConnectX chip.
Add ConnectX FW commands which create and manipulate FPGA QPs.

Previously, only mlx5_ib enabled RoCE on the port, but FPGA needs it as
well.
Add support for counting number of enables, so that FPGA and IB can work
in parallel and independently.
Program the HW to enable RoCE on the first enable call, and program to
disable RoCE on the last disable call.

Reserved GIDs are entries in the GID table in use by the mlx5_core
and its submodules (e.g. FPGA, SRIOV, E-Swtich, netdev).
The entries are reserved at the high indexes of the GID table.
A mlx5 submodule may reserve a certain amount of GIDs for its own use
during the load sequence by calling mlx5_core_reserve_gids, and must
also take care to un-reserve these GIDs when it closes.
Reservation is only allowed during the load sequence and before any
interfaces (e.g. mlx5_ib or mlx5_en) are up.
After reservation, a submodule may call mlx5_core_reserved_gid_alloc/
free to allocate entries from the reserved GIDs pool.
Reserve a GID table entry for every supported FPGA QP.
A later patch in the patchset will remove them from being reported to
IB core.
Another such patch will make use of these for FPGA QPs in Innova NIC.
Added lib/mlx5.h to serve as a library for mlx5 submodlues, and to
expose only public mlx5 API, more mlx5 library files will be added in
future submissions.

Draining the health workqueue will ignore future health works including
the one that report hardware failure and thus we can't enter error state
Instead cancel the recovery flow and make sure only recovery flow won't
be scheduled.

Adding a support to flush all HW resources with one FW command and
skip all the heavy unload flows of the driver on kernel shutdown.
There's no need to free all the SW context since a new fresh kernel
will be loaded afterwards.
Regarding the FW resources, they should be closed, otherwise we will
have leakage in the FW. To accelerate this flow, we execute one command
in the beginning that tells the FW that the driver isn't going to close
any of the FW resources and asks the FW to clean up everything.
Once the commands complete, it's safe to close the PCI resources and
finish the routine.

Add a new interface for commands execution that allows the
caller to wait for the command's completion in a busy-wait
loop (polling mode).
This is useful if we want to execute a command in a polling mode
while the driver is working in events mode for the rest of
the commands.
This interface will be used in the downstream patches.

Move "query queue counter out of buffer" helper function out of
qp.c to en_main.c, since mlx5e netdev driver is the only one to use it.
Also allocate the output buffer on the stack instead of the heap, to reduce
number of heap allocs on update_stats work.

Masks for extracting part of the Completion Queue Entry (CQE)
field rss_hash_type was swapped, namely CQE_RSS_HTYPE_IP and
CQE_RSS_HTYPE_L4.
The bug resulted in setting skb->l4_hash, even-though the
rss_hash_type indicated that hash was NOT computed over the
L4 (UDP or TCP) part of the packet.
Added comments from the datasheet, to make it more clear what
these masks are selecting.

Currently when firmware command gets stuck or it takes long time to
complete, the driver command will get timeout and the command slot is
freed and can be used for new commands, and if the firmware receive new
command on the old busy slot its behavior is unexpected and this could
be harmful.
To fix this when the driver command gets timeout we return failure,
but we don't free the command slot and we wait for the firmware to
explicitly respond to that command.
Once all the entries are busy we will stop processing new firmware
commands.

Mellanox Innova is a NIC with ConnectX and an FPGA on the same
board. The FPGA is a bump-on-the-wire and thus affects operation of
the mlx5_core driver on the ConnectX ASIC.
Add basic support for Innova in mlx5_core.
This allows using the Innova card as a regular NIC, by detecting
the FPGA capability bit, and verifying its load state before
initializing ConnectX interfaces.
Also detect FPGA fatal runtime failures and enter error state if
they ever happen.
All new FPGA-related logic is placed in its own subdirectory 'fpga',
which may be built by selecting CONFIG_MLX5_FPGA.
This prepares for further support of various Innova features in later
patchsets.
Additional details about hardware architecture will be provided as
more features get submitted.

Root flow table is dynamically changed by the underlying flow steering
layer, and IPoIB/ULPs have no idea what will be the root flow table in
the future, hence we need a dynamic infrastructure to move Underlay QPs
with the root flow table.

There are many code paths opencoding kvmalloc. Let's use the helper
instead. The main difference to kvmalloc is that those users are
usually not considering all the aspects of the memory allocator. E.g.
allocation requests <= 32kB (with 4kB pages) are basically never failing
and invoke OOM killer to satisfy the allocation. This sounds too
disruptive for something that has a reasonable fallback - the vmalloc.
On the other hand those requests might fallback to vmalloc even when the
memory allocator would succeed after several more reclaim/compaction
attempts previously. There is no guarantee something like that happens
though.
This patch converts many of those places to kv[mz]alloc* helpers because
they are more conservative.

Enable mlx5 IPoIB acceleration by declaring
mlx5_ib_{alloc,free}_rdma_netdev and assigning the mlx5
IPoIB rdma_netdev callbacks.
In addition, this patch brings in sync mlx5's IPoIB parts for net and IB
trees. As a precaution, we disabled IPoIB acceleration by default (in
the mlx5_core Kconfig file).

While IPoIB provides IP over InfiniBand (and *only* IP, no lower
layer protocol headers are allowed or supported), the VNIC driver
presents a virtual Ethernet device with support for things like
varying Ethertypes, VLANs, priorities and other features of
Ethernet.
The virtual devices are centrally managed by the OPA fabric
manager, making this (for the time being) a strictly OPA specific
feature.
- Improvements to the On-Demand Paging support in the RDMA subsystem.
- Addition of three significant OPA changes.
While we added OPA support some time ago (via the hfi1 driver), the
RDMA subsystem has so far glossed over the areas where OPA and
InfiniBand differ.

Add port_xmit_wait to the error counters read by mlx5_ib_process_mad to
ensure sysfs port counter provides correct value for PortXmitWait.
Otherwise the sysfs port_xmit_wait file always contains zero.
The previous MAD_IFC implementation populated this counter, but it was
removed during the migration to PPCNT for error counters (32-bit only).

When IP tunnel encapsulation rules are offloaded, the kernel can't see
the traffic of the offloaded flow. The neighbour for the IP tunnel
destination of the offloaded flow can mistakenly become STALE and
deleted by the kernel since its 'used' value wasn't changed.
To make sure that a neighbour which is used by the HW won't become
STALE, we proactively update the neighbour 'used' value every
DELAY_PROBE_TIME period, when packets were matched and counted by the HW
for one of the tunnel encap flows related to this neighbour.
The periodic task that updates the used neighbours is scheduled when a
tunnel encap rule is successfully offloaded into HW and keeps re-scheduling
itself as long as the representor's neighbours list isn't empty.
Add, remove, lookup and status change operations done over the
representor's neighbours list or the neighbour hash entry encaps list
are all serialized by RTNL lock.

This patch adds support to query the congestion related hardware counters
through new command and links them with other hw counters being available
in hw_counters sysfs location.
In order to reuse existing infrastructure it renames related q_counter
data structures to more generic counters to reflect q_counters and
congestion counters and maybe some other counters in the future.
New hardware counters:
* rp_cnp_handled - CNP packets handled by the reaction point
* rp_cnp_ignored - CNP packets ignored by the reaction point
* np_cnp_sent - CNP packets sent by notification point to respond to
CE marked RoCE packets
* np_ecn_marked_roce_packets - CE marked RoCE packets received by
notification point
It also avoids returning ENOSYS which is specific for invalid
system call and produces the following checkpatch.pl warning.
WARNING: ENOSYS means 'invalid syscall nr' and nothing else

This change adds the ability for flow steering to classify IPv4/6
packets with MPLS tag (Ethertype 0x8847 and 0x8848) as standard IP
packets and hit IPv4/6 classifed steering rules.
When user added a flow rule with IP classification, driver was
implicitly adding ethertype matching to the created rule in order
to distinguish between IPv4 and IPv6 protocols.
Since IP packets with MPLS tag header have MPLS ethertype, they missed
the rule and ended up hitting the default filters.
Such behavior prevented from MPLS packets to undergo inbound traffic
load balancing flows (if such were defined by configuring RSS) to
achieve higher throughput - the way that non-MPLS IP packets performed.
Since our device is able to look past the MPLS tag and identify the
next protocol we introduce this solution which replaces Ethertype
matching by the device's capability to perform IP version parsing
and matching in order to distinguish between IPv4 and IPv6.
Therefore, whenever a flow with IP spec is added and device support IP
version matching, driver will implicitly add IP version matching to the
rule (Based on the IP spec type) without Ethertype matching which will
cause relevant MPLS tagged packets to hit this rule as well.
Otherwise (device doesn't support IP version matching), we fall back to
setting Ethertype matching.
If the user's filters specify an L2 ethertype and an IP spec
the rule will then match both the ethertype and the IP version.
The device's support for IP version matching is reported by the
device via dedicated capability bit in query_device_cap and named
outer/inner_ip_version.

Implement mlx5e's IPoIB SKB transmit using the helper functions provided
by mlx5e ethernet tx flow, the only difference in the code between
mlx5e_xmit and mlx5i_xmit is that IPoIB has some extra fields to fill
(UD datagram segment) in the TX descriptor (WQE) and it doesn't need to
have any vlan handling.

IB flow tables need the underlay qp to perform flow steering.
Here we change the API of the flow tables creation to accept the
underlay QP number as a parameter in order to support IB (IPoIB) flow
steering.

Add the definitions related to creation/deletion of a modify header
context and the modify header steering action which are used for HW
packet header modify (re-write) as part of steering. Add as well the
modify header id into two intermediate structs and set it to the FTE.
Note that as the push/pop vlan steering actions are emulated by the
ewitch management code, we're not breaking any compatibility while
changing their values to make room for the modify header action which
is not emulated and whose value is part of the FW API. The new bit
values for the emulated actions are at the end of the possible range.

Counters weren't updated due to Receive WQs' traffic since the
counter-id was not associated with the RQ.
Added support for associating the q-counter-id with the Receive WQ.
The attachment is done only when changing WQ's state from RESET to
READY in modify-WQ command.
FW support is required for the above, without this support
Receive WQ counters will not count.

Add new TX WQE fields for Connect-X5 vlan insertion support,
type and vlan_tci, when type = MLX5_ETH_WQE_INSERT_VLAN the
HW will insert the vlan and prio fields (vlan_tci) to the packet.
Those bits and the inline header fields are mutually exclusive, and
valid only when:
MLX5_CAP_ETH(mdev, wqe_inline_mode) == MLX5_CAP_INLINE_MODE_NOT_REQUIRED
and MLX5_CAP_ETH(mdev, wqe_vlan_insert),
who will be set in ConnectX-5 and later HW generations.

There is a hardware feature that will pad the start or end of a DMA to
be cache line aligned to avoid RMWs on the last cache line. The default
cache line size setting for this feature is 64B. This change configures
the hardware to use 128B alignment on systems with 128B cache lines.
In addition we lower bound MPWRQ stride by HCA cacheline in mlx5e,
MPWRQ stride should be at least the HCA cacheline, the current default
is 64B and in case HCA_CAP.cach_line_128byte capability is set, MPWRQ RX
stride will automatically be aligned to 128B.

Add support for SRIOV VF min rate guarantee by using the TSAR BW share
weights mechanism.
The TSAR BW share vport attribute represents the weight of that vport
among the other vports weights which means that the actual vport BW
percentage is the same vport weight percentage among the total vports

Implement query and set functionality for MTPPS and MTPPSE registers.
MTPPS (Management Pulse Per Second) provides the device PPS capabilities,
configures the PPS in and out modules and holds the PPS in time stamp.
Query MTPPS is supported only when HCA_CAP.pps is set and modify is supported
when HCA_CAP.pps_modify is set.
MTPPSE (Management Pulse Per Second Event) configures the different event
generation modes for PPS. Supported when HCA_CAP.pps is set.

The following series of patches optimizes the usage of the UAR area which is
contained within the BAR 0-1. Previous versions of the firmware and the driver
assumed each system page contains a single UAR. This patch set will query the
firmware for a new capability that if published, means that the firmware can
support UARs of fixed 4K regardless of system page size. In the case of
powerpc, where page size equals 64KB, this means we can utilize 16 UARs per
system page. Since user space processes by default consume eight UARs per
context this means that with this change a process will need a single system
page to fulfill that requirement and in fact make use of more UARs which is
better in terms of performance.
In addition to optimizing user-space processes, we introduce an allocator
that can be used by kernel consumers to allocate blue flame registers
(which are areas within a UAR that are used to write doorbells). This provides
further optimization on using the UAR area since the Ethernet driver makes
use of a single blue flame register per system page and now it will use two
blue flame registers per 4K.
The series also makes changes to naming conventions and now the terms used in
the driver code match the terms used in the PRM (programmers reference manual).
Thus, what used to be called UUAR (micro UAR) is now called BFREG (blue flame
register).
In order to support compatibility between different versions of
library/driver/firmware, the library has now means to notify the kernel driver
that it supports the new scheme and the kernel can notify the library if it
supports this extension. So mixed versions of libraries can run concurrently
without any issues.

Current check requests that new fields in struct
mlx5_ib_alloc_ucontext_req_v2 that are not known to the driver be zero.
This was introduced so new libraries passing additional information to
the kernel through struct mlx5_ib_alloc_ucontext_req_v2 will be notified
by old kernels that do not support their request by failing the
operation. This schecme is problematic since it requires libmlx5 to issue
the requests with descending input size for struct
mlx5_ib_alloc_ucontext_req_v2.
To avoid this, we require that new features that will obey the following
rules:
If the feature requires one or more fields in the response and the at
least one of the fields can be encoded such that a zero value means the
kernel ignored the request then this field will provide the indication
to the library. If no response is required or if zero is a valid
response, a new field should be added that indicates to the library
whether its request was processed.

Make use of the blue flame registers allocator at mlx5_ib. Since blue
flame was not really supported we remove all the code that is related to
blue flame and we let all consumers to use the same blue flame register.
Once blue flame is supported we will add the code. As part of this patch
we also move the definition of struct mlx5_bf to mlx5_ib.h as it is only
used by mlx5_ib.

A reference to a UAR is required to generate CQ or EQ doorbells. Since
CQ or EQ doorbells can all be generated using the same UAR area without
any effect on performance, we are just getting a reference to any
available UAR, If one is not available we allocate it but we don't waste
the blue flame registers it can provide and we will use them for
subsequent allocations.
We get a reference to such UAR and put in mlx5_priv so any kernel
consumer can make use of it.

Here is an implementation of an allocator that allocates blue flame
registers. A blue flame register is used for generating send doorbells.
A blue flame register can be used to generate either a regular doorbell
or a blue flame doorbell where the data to be sent is written to the
device's I/O memory hence saving the need to read the data from memory.
For blue flame kind of doorbells to succeed, the blue flame register
need to be mapped as write combining. The user can specify what kind of
send doorbells she wishes to use. If she requested write combining
mapping but that failed, the allocator will fall back to non write
combining mapping and will indicate that to the user.
Subsequent patches in this series will make use of this allocator.

This establishes a solid naming conventions for UARs. A UAR (User Access
Region) can have size identical to a system page or can be fixed 4KB
depending on a value queried by firmware. Each UAR always has 4 blue
flame register which are used to post doorbell to send queue. In
addition, a UAR has section used for posting doorbells to CQs or EQs. In
this patch we change names to reflect this conventions.

Update PAGE_FAULT_RESUME command layout.
Three bit fields describing page fault: rdma, rdma_write, req_res gave 8
possible combinations, while only a few were legal. Now they
are interpreted as three-bit type field, where former legal
combinations turns into corresponding types and unused were added as new
types.

In this change we turn mlx5_ib_update_mtt() into generic
mlx5_ib_update_xlt() to perfrom HCA translation table modifiactions
supporting both atomic and process contexts and not limited by number
of modified entries.
Using this function we increase preallocated MRs up to 16GB.

Add new type of struct mlx5_frag_buf which is used to allocate fragmented
buffers rather than contiguous, and make the Completion Queues (CQs) use
it as they are big (default of 2MB per CQ in Striding RQ).
This fixes the failures of type:
"mlx5e_open_locked: mlx5e_open_channels failed, -12"
due to dma_zalloc_coherent insufficient contiguous coherent memory to
satisfy the driver's request when the user tries to setup more or larger
rings.
