70fd681e7e dt-bindings: mmc: sdhci-am654: Update Output tap delay binding
According to latest AM65x Data Manual[1], a different output tap delay
value is recommended for all speed modes. Therefore, replace the
ti,otap-del-sel binding with one ti,otap-del-sel- for each MMC/SD speed
mode.

Merge series "Support built-in Mic on Tegra boards that use WM8903" from Dmitry Osipenko <digetx@gmail.com>:
Hello,

This small series adds audio route for built-in microphone on NVIDIA Tegra
boards that use WM8903 CODEC. In particular this is needed in order to unmute
internal microphone on Acer A500 tablet device. I'm planning to send out the
device tree for the A500 for 5.8, so will be nice to get the microphone
sorted out. Please review and apply, thanks in advance.

c336357085 dt-bindings: phy: tegra: Add Tegra194 support
Extend the bindings to cover the set of features found in Tegra194.
Note that, technically, there are four more supplies connected to the
XUSB pad controller (DVDD_PEX, DVDD_PEX_PLL, HVDD_PEX and HVDD_PEX_PLL)
, but the power sequencing requirements of Tegra194 require these to be
under the control of the PMIC.

Tegra194 XUSB PADCTL supports up to USB 3.1 Gen 2 speed, however, it
is possible for some platforms have long signal trace that could not
provide sufficient electrical environment for Gen 2 speed. This patch
adds a "maximum-speed" property to usb3 ports which can be used to
specify the maximum supported speed for any particular USB 3.1 port.
For a port that is not capable of SuperSpeedPlus, "maximum-speed"
property should carry "super-speed".

e10c4321dc kbuild: allow to run dt_binding_check and dtbs_check in a single command
Since commit 93512dad33 ("dt-bindings: Improve validation build error
handling"), 'make dtbs_check' does not validate the schema fully.

If you want to check everything, you need to run two commands separately.

  $ make ARCH=arm dt_binding_check
  $ make ARCH=arm dtbs_check

They are exclusive each other, so you cannot do like this:

  $ make ARCH=arm dt_binding_check dtbs_check

In this case, dt-doc-validate and dt-extract-example are skipped
because CHECK_DTBS is set.

Let's make it possible to run these two targets in a single command.
It will be useful for schema writers.

Convert the usb-connector.txt bindings file to YAML format. This allows

modifications have been made to satisfy dt_bindings_check.

Also, update all references to usb-connector.txt to now use

fc79884b00 media: dt-bindings: tvp5150: Add input port connectors DT bindings
The TVP5150/1 decoders support different video input sources to their
AIP1A/B pins.

Possible configurations are as follows:
  - Analog Composite signal connected to AIP1A.
  - Analog Composite signal connected to AIP1B.
  - Analog S-Video Y (luminance) and C (chrominance)

369cee7925 media: dt-bindings: connector: analog: add sdtv standards property
Some connectors no matter if in- or output supports only a limited
range of sdtv standards. It doesn't matter if the hardware behind that
connector supports more than the listed formats since the users are
restriced by a label e.g. to plug only a camera into this connector
which uses the PAL format.

This patch adds the capability to describe such limitation within the
firmware. There are no format restrictions if the property isn't
present, so it's completely backward compatible.

ASoC: dt-bindings: google, cros-ec-codec: Fix dtc warnings in example
Extra dtc warnings (roughly what W=1 enables) are now enabled by default
when building the binding examples. These were fixed treewide in
5.6-rc5, but the newly added google,cros-ec-codec schema adds some new
warnings:

Documentation/devicetree/bindings/sound/google,cros-ec-codec.example.dts:17.28-21.11:
Warning (unit_address_vs_reg): /example-0/reserved_mem: node has a reg or ranges property, but no unit name

Warning (unit_address_vs_reg): /example-0/cros-ec@0/ec-codec: node has a reg or ranges property, but no unit name

Fixing the above, then results in:

f9f711efd4 arm64: tegra: Fix Tegra194 PCIe compatible string
If the kernel configuration option CONFIG_PCIE_DW_PLAT_HOST is enabled
then this can cause the kernel to incorrectly probe the generic
designware PCIe platform driver instead of the Tegra194 designware PCIe
driver. This causes a boot failure on Tegra194 because the necessary
configuration to access the hardware is not performed.

The order in which the compatible strings are populated in Device-Tree
is not relevant in this case, because the kernel will attempt to probe
the device as soon as a driver is loaded and if the generic designware
PCIe driver is loaded first, then this driver will be probed first.
Therefore, to fix this problem, remove the "snps,dw-pcie" string from
the compatible string as we never want this driver to be probe on
Tegra194.

1de20644c4 dt-bindings: i2c: brcmstb: Add BCM2711 BSC/AUTO-I2C binding
The HDMI blocks in the BCM2771 have an i2c controller to retrieve the
EDID. This block is split into two parts, the BSC and the AUTO_I2C,
lying in two separate register areas.

The AUTO_I2C block has a mailbox-like interface and will take away the
BSC control from the CPU if enabled. However, the BSC is the actually
the same controller than the one supported by the brcmstb driver, and
the AUTO_I2C doesn't really bring any immediate benefit.

We can model it in the DT as a single device with two register range,
which will allow us to use or or the other in the driver without
changing anything in the DT.

62790268e4 ARM: SoC fixes
We've been accruing these for a couple of weeks, so the batch is a bit
 bigger than usual.

Largest delta is due to a led-bl driver that is added -- there was
a miscommunication before the merge window and the driver didn't make it
in. Due to this, the platforms needing it regressed. At this point, it
seemed easier to add the new driver than unwind the changes.

Besides that, there are a handful of various fixes:

  - AMD tee memory leak fix

  - A handful of fixlets for i.MX SCU communication

  - A few maintainers woke up and realized DEBUG_FS had been missing for
a while, so a few updates of that.

... and the usual collection of smaller fixes to various platforms.

26d5bb9e4c dt-bindings: net: FMan erratum A050385
FMAN DMA read or writes under heavy traffic load may cause FMAN
internal resource leak; thus stopping further packet processing.

The FMAN internal queue can overflow when FMAN splits single
read or write transactions into multiple smaller transactions
such that more than 17 AXI transactions are in flight from FMAN
to interconnect. When the FMAN internal queue overflows, it can
stall further packet processing. The issue can occur with any one
of the following three conditions:

  1. FMAN AXI transaction crosses 4K address boundary (Errata
     A010022)
  2. FMAN DMA address for an AXI transaction is not 16 byte
aligned, i.e. the last 4 bits of an address are non-zero
  3. Scatter Gather (SG) frames have more than one SG buffer in
the SG list and any one of the buffers, except the last
buffer in the SG list has data size that is not a multiple
     of 16 bytes, i.e., other than 16, 32, 48, 64, etc.

With any one of the above three conditions present, there is
likelihood of stalled FMAN packet processing, especially under
stress with multiple ports injecting line-rate traffic.

To avoid situations that stall FMAN packet processing, all of the
above three conditions must be avoided; therefore, configure the
system with the following rules:

  1. Frame buffers must not span a 4KB address boundary, unless
the frame start address is 256 byte aligned
  2. All FMAN DMA start addresses (for example, BMAN buffer
     address, FD[address] + FD[offset]) are 16B aligned
  3. SG table and buffer addresses are 16B aligned and the size
of SG buffers are multiple of 16 bytes, except for the last
SG buffer that can be of any size.

Additional workaround notes:
- Address alignment of 64 bytes is recommended for maximally
efficient system bus transactions (although 16 byte alignment is
sufficient to avoid the stall condition)
- To support frame sizes that are larger than 4K bytes, there are
two options:
  1. Large single buffer frames that span a 4KB page boundary can
be converted into SG frames to avoid transaction splits at
     the 4KB boundary,
  2. Align the large single buffer to 256B address boundaries,
ensure that the frame address plus offset is 256B aligned.
- If software generated SG frames have buffers that are unaligned
and with random non-multiple of 16 byte lengths, before
transmitting such frames via FMAN, frames will need to be copied
into a new single buffer or multiple buffer SG frame that is
compliant with the three rules listed above.

Merge series "Compatible string consolidation for NXP DSPI driver" from Vladimir Oltean <olteanv@gmail.com>:
This series makes room in the driver for differentiation between the
controllers which currently operate in TCFQ mode. Most of these are
actually capable of a lot more in terms of throughput. This is in
preparation of a second series which will convert the remaining users of
TCFQ mode altogether to XSPI mode with command cycling.

Vladimir Oltean (6):

    instantiations

spi: spi-fsl-dspi: Add specific compatibles for all Layerscape SoCs
Make the second compatible string optional for LS1012A, LS1088A and
LS2080A. Old versions of the spi-fsl-dspi.c driver still need to probe
on the old, generic compatible string for these controllers (such as
"fsl,ls1021a-v1.0-dspi") which provides less functionality.

Document the device tree bindings for LS1043A and LS1046A, whose
bindings are already in use in fsl-ls1043a.dtsi and fsl-ls1046a.dtsi.

Introduce new compatible strings for LS1028A and LX2160A. There will be
no second compatible string for these.

3aa31ced2f dt-bindings: display: add panel-timing.yaml
Add meta-schema variant of panel-timing and
reference it from panel-common.yaml.

Part of this came form other files with other
licenses - original commits:

commit 86f46565df ("dt-bindings: display: display-timing: Add property to configure sync drive edge")
commit 9cad9c95d7 ("Documentation: DocBook DRM framework documentation")

The original authors acked the license change to:
(GPL-2.0-only OR BSD-2-Clause)

v2:
  - Got OK from original authors for re-license
Huge thanks for the quick replies!
  - Typo fixes (Oleksandr)
  - Drop -array variant when not needed (Maxime)
  - Replace oneOf:... with enum (Maxime)
  - Drop type from clock-frequency (Rob)
  - Drop "|" when not needed (Rob)

v3:
  - Added comment to acks that are only for the license change
  - Add yaml document terminator "..."
  - Updated description (removed reference to native-mode)

5ce96fe032 drm/panel: Add DT bindings for Novatek NT35510-based panels
This adds device tree bindings for the Novatek NT35510-based
family of panels. Since several such panels are in existence
we define bindings common for all, and define the compatible
string for one certain panel (Hydis HVA40WV1).

As other panels are discovered and investigated, we can add
more compatibles to the binding using oneOf constructions.
