There is no need to unlock MMIO access to the DBGLAR all the time. Doing
so may even cause problems if a SW bug causes writes to that MMIO region.
Cortex-A15 processors do not support the CP14 register write the code
currently uses to unlock the DBGLAR; the instruction throws an undefined
instruction exceptions. This prevents tegra_secondary_startup() from
executing on Tegra114, and hence prevents SMP.
Remove the code that unlocks this access.

Prior to this change, {save,restore}_cpu_arch_register() collaborated to
maintain the value of the CPU diagnostic register across power cycles.
This was required to maintain any CPU errata workaround enable bits in
that register. However, now that the Tegra reset vector code always
enables all required workarounds, there is no need to save and restore
the diagnostic register; it is always explicitly programmed in the
required manner.
Hence, remove the save/restore logic.
This has the advantage that the kernel always directly controls the value
of this register every boot, rather than relying on a bootloader or other
kernel code having previously written the correct value into it. This
makes CPU0 (which was previously saved/restored) and CPUn (which should
have been set up by the reset vector) be controlled in exactly the same
way, which is easier to debug/find/...
In particular, when converting Tegra to a multi-platform kernel, the CPU0
diagnostic register value initially comes from the bootloader. Most Tegra
bootloaders don't yet enable all required CPU bug workarounds. The
previous commit updates the kernel to do so on any CPU power cycle.
However, the save/restore code ends up over-writing the value with the
old bootloader-driven value instead of the now more-likely-to-be-correct
kernel value!
Even irrespective of multi-platform conversion, this change limits the
kernel's exposure to any WARs the bootloader didn't enable for CPU0: on
the very first LP2 transition (CPU power-saving which power-cycles the
CPU), the correct value will be enabled.

The CPU cores in Tegra contain some errata. Workarounds must be applied
for these every time a CPU boots. Implement those workarounds directly
in the Tegra-specific CPU reset vector.
Many of these workarounds duplicate code in the core ARM kernel.
However, the core ARM kernel cannot enable those workarounds when
building a multi-platform kernel, since they require writing to secure-
only registers, and a multi-platform kernel often does not run in secure
mode, and also cannot generically/architecturally detect whether it is
running in secure mode, and hence cannot either unconditionally or
conditionally apply these workarounds.
Instead, the workarounds must be applied in architecture-specific reset
code, which is able to have more direct knowledge of the secure/normal
state. On Tegra, we will be able to detect this using a non-architected
register in the future, although we currently assume the kernel runs only
in secure mode. Other SoCs may never run the kernel in secure mode, and
hence always rely on a secure monitor to enable the workarounds, and
hence never implement them in the kernel.

Fix clk_get_sys() error handling; IS_ERR() should be used rather than
IS_ERR_OR_NULL() to check for errors.
Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
regulator_get() does not return NULL as an error value. Even when it
does return an error, the code as written falls out the error path
while returning zero (indicating no failure.) Fix this, and use the
more correct IS_ERR() macro to check for errors.

where platforms that are already cleaned up do not need to even specify

We further clean up the use of platform specific header files here,

ARM: tegra: USB driver cleanup
The Tegra USB driver has a number of issues:
1) The PHY driver isn't a true platform device, and doesn't implement
the standard USB PHY API.
2) struct device instance numbers were used to make decisions in the
driver, rather than being parameterized by DT or platform data.
This pull request solves issue (2), and lays the groundwork for solving
issue (1). The work on issue (1) involved introducing new DT nodes for
the USB PHYs, which in turn interacted with the Tegra common clock

clock types for PLL, mux, divider, ... type in HW.
3) Clock lookups by device drivers were still driven by device name
and connection ID, rather than through device tree.
This pull request solves all three issues. This required some DT changes
to add clocks properties, and driver changes to request clocks more
"correctly". Finally, this rework allows all AUXDATA to be removed from
Tegra board files, and various duplicate clock lookup entries to be
removed from the driver.

The "powered-down" cpuidle mode of Tegra20 needs the CPU0 be the last one
core to go into this mode before other core. The coupled cpuidle framework
can help to sync the MPCore to coupled state then go into "powered-down"
idle mode together. The driver can just assume the MPCore come into
"powered-down" mode at the same time. No need to take care if the CPU_0
goes into this mode along and only can put it into safe idle mode (WFI).
The powered-down state of Tegra20 requires power gating both CPU cores.
When the secondary CPU requests to enter powered-down state, it saves
its own contexts and then enters WFI for waiting CPU0 in the same state.
When the CPU0 requests powered-down state, it attempts to put the secondary
CPU into reset to prevent it from waking up. Then power down both CPUs
together and power off the cpu rail.
Be aware of that, you may see the legacy power state "LP2" in the code
which is exactly the same meaning of "CPU power down".

The "powered-down" CPU idle mode of Tegra cut off the vdd_cpu rail, it
include the power of GIC. That caused the SGI (Software Generated
Interrupt) been lost. Because the SGI can't wake up the CPU that in
the "powered-down" CPU idle mode. We need to check if there is any
pending SGI when go into "powered-down" CPU idle mode. This is important
especially when applying the coupled cpuidle framework into "power-down"
cpuidle dirver. Because the coupled cpuidle framework may have the
chance that misses IPI_SINGLE_FUNC handling sometimes.
For the PPI or SPI, something like the legacy peripheral interrupt. It
still can be maintained by Tegra legacy interrupt controller. If there
is any pending PPI or SPI when CPU in "powered-down" CPU idle mode. The
CPU can be woken up immediately. So we don't need to take care the same

The reset handler code is used for either UP or SMP. To make Tegra device
can compile for UP. It needs to be moved to another file that is not SMP
only. This is because the reset handler also be needed by CPU idle
"powered-down" mode. So we also need to put the reset handler init function
in non-SMP only and init them always.
And currently the implementation of the reset handler to know which CPU is
OK to bring up was identital with "cpu_present_mask". But the
"cpu_present_mask" did not initialize yet when the reset handler init
function was moved to init early function. We use the "cpu_possible_mask"
to replace "cpu_present_mask". Then it can work on both UP and SMP case.

Now that the only field in struct sys_timer is .init, delete the struct,
and replace the machine descriptor .timer field with the initialization
function itself.
This will enable moving timer drivers into drivers/clocksource without
having to place a public prototype of each struct sys_timer object into
include/linux; the intent is to create a single of_clocksource_init()
function that determines which timer driver to initialize by scanning
the device dtree, much like the proposed irqchip_init() at:

For Tegra30, pll_p clk's parent is wrongly specified as clk_m instead of

Move Tegra's debug-macro.S over to the common debug macro directory.
Move Tegra's debug UART selection menu into ARM's Kconfig.debug, so that
all related options are selected in the same place.
Tegra's uncompress.h is left in mach-tegra/include/mach; it will be
removed whenever Tegra is converted to multi-platform.
Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
In order to move Tegra's debug-macro.S to a common location for single
zImage, it must not rely on any machine-specific header files such as
<mach/iomap.h>. Duplicate the few physical address definitions that
debug-macro.S relies upon directly into the file.
To avoid tegra_io_desc[] requiring shared knowledge of the UART
mapping's virtual address, use a virtual address outside the ranges
in tegra_io_desc[]. Call debug_ll_io_init() to propagate the mapping
beyond the early pages tables.
Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
Prior to this change, Tegra's debug-macro.S relied on uncompress.h having
determined which UART to use, and whether it was safe to use the UART
(i.e. is it not in reset, and is clocked). This determination was
communicated from uncompress.h to debug-macro.S using a few bytes of
Tegra's IRAM (an on-SoC RAM). This had the disadvantage that uncompress.h
was a required part of the kernel boot process; booting a non-compressed
kernel would not allow earlyprintk to operate.
This change duplicates the UART selection and validation logic into
debug-macro.S so that the reliance on uncompress.h is removed.
This also helps out with single-zImage work, since there is currently no
support for using any uncompress.h with single-zImage.
Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
Delete CONFIG_TEGRA_DEBUG_UART_AUTO_SCRATCH; it's not useful any more:
* No upstream bootloader currently or will ever support this option.
* CONFIG_TEGRA_DEBUG_UART_AUTO_ODMDATA is a much more direct alternative.
Merge the fixed and automatic UART selection menus into a single choice
for simplicity; now you either pick AUTO_ODMDATA or a single fixed UART,
rather than potentially having an AUTO option override whatever fixed
option was chosen.
Remove TEGRA_DEBUG_UART_NONE; if you don't want a Tegra DEBUG_LL UART,
simply don't turn on DEBUG_LL. NONE used to be the default option, so
pick AUTO_ODMDATA as the new default.
Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
SPARSE_IRQ is required for single zImage support.
With this enabled, we can delete <mach/irqs.h>. This requires removing
one unnecessary include of that file, and hard-coding the PCIe IRQ into
the PCIe driver. This is a hack that will be dealt with as part of
converting the PCIe driver into a true DT-supporting driver.
Signed-off-by: Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
Modify Tegra's timer code to parse the IO address from device tree,
hence removing the dependency on <mach/iomap.h>. This will allow the

L2 content can be retained over CPU suspend/resume. To do that, we
need to disable L2 after the MMU is disabled, and enable L2 before

with the CPU cluster. We need to restore it's settings and re-enable

This is a power gating idle mode. It support power gating vdd_cpu rail
after all cpu cores in "powered-down" status. For Tegra30, the CPU0 can
enter this state only when all secondary CPU is offline. We need to take
care and make sure whole secondary CPUs were offline and checking the
CPU power gate status. After that, the CPU0 can go into "powered-down"
state safely. Then shut off the CPU rail.
Be aware of that, you may see the legacy power state "LP2" in the code

Be aware of that, you may see the legacy power status "LP2" in the code
which is exactly the same meaning of "CPU power down".

Nothing outside mach-tegra uses this file, so there's no need for it to
be in <mach/>.
Since uncompress.h and debug-macro.S remain in include/mach, they need
to include "../../irammap.h" becaue of this change. Both these usages
will be removed shortly, when Tegra's DEBUG_LL implementation is updated
not to pass information through IRAM.

Nothing outside mach-tegra uses this file, so there's no need for it to
be in <mach/>.
Since uncompress.h and debug-macro.S remain in include/mach, they need
to include "../../iomap.h" becaue of this change. uncompress.h will soon
be deleted in later multi-platform/single-zImage patches. debug-macro.S
will need to continue to include this header using an explicit relative
path, to avoid duplicating the physical->virtual address mapping that
iomap.h dictates.

Remove includes of <mach/dma.h> from sound/soc; nothing from it is used.
Remove include of <mach/dma.h> from mach-tegra/apbio.c; since the DMA
transfers made by this file don't need flow-control with any peripheral,
there's no need to set any slave ID.
Once those changes are made, there are no remaining users of <mach/dma.h>
so remove it. Drivers should get this information from device tree. This
removal is necessary for single zImage.

We wish to empty arch/arm/mach-tegra/include/mach/ as much as possible
to enable single zImage. Move tegra-ahb.h to a more central location
(suggested by Arnd, OK'd by Greg KH), and actually make tegra-ahb.c
include the header to ensure client and provider agree on the prototype.

This undoes commit 20f4665 "ARM: tegra: remove tegra_timer from

indeed a clock (hidden by the PERIPH_CLK macro) which should be added
to the tegra_list_clks.

reference.

As suggested by Andrew Morton:
This is a pet peeve of mine. Any time there's a long list of items
(header file inclusions, kconfig entries, array initalisers, etc) and
someone wants to add a new item, they *always* go and stick it at the
end of the list.
Guys, don't do this. Either put the new item into a randomly-chosen
position or, probably better, alphanumerically sort the list.
lets sort all our select statements alphanumerically. This commit was
created by the following perl:
while (<>) {
while (/\\\s*$/) {
$_ .= <>;
}
undef %selects if /^\s*config\s+/;
if (/^\s+select\s+(\w+).*/) {
if (defined($selects{$1})) {
if ($selects{$1} eq $_) {
print STDERR "Warning: removing duplicated $1 entry\n";
} else {
print STDERR "Error: $1 differently selected\n".
"\tOld: $selects{$1}\n".
"\tNew: $_\n";
exit 1;
}
}
$selects{$1} = $_;
next;
}
if (%selects and (/^\s*$/ or /^\s+help/ or /^\s+---help---/ or
/^endif/ or /^endchoice/)) {
foreach $k (sort (keys %selects)) {
print "$selects{$k}";
}
undef %selects;
}
print;
}
if (%selects) {
foreach $k (sort (keys %selects)) {
print "$selects{$k}";
}
}
It found two duplicates:
Warning: removing duplicated S5P_SETUP_MIPIPHY entry
Warning: removing duplicated HARDIRQS_SW_RESEND entry
and they are identical duplicates, hence the shrinkage in the diffstat
of two lines.
We have four testers reporting success of this change (Tony, Stephen,
Linus and Sekhar.)

This contains pretty many small commits covering fairly large range of
files in sound/ directory. Partly because of additional API support
and partly because of constantly developed ASoC and ARM stuff.
Some highlights:
- Introduced the helper function and documentation for exposing the
channel map via control API, as discussed in Plumbers; most of PCI
drivers are covered, will follow more drivers later
- Most of drivers have been replaced with the new PM callbacks (if
the bus is supported)
- HD-audio controller got the support of runtime PM and the support of
D3 clock-stop. Also changing the power_save option in sysfs kicks
off immediately to enable / disable the power-save mode.
- Another significant code change in HD-audio is the rewrite of
firmware loading code. Other than that, most of changes in HD-audio
are continued cleanups and standardization for the generic auto
parser and bug fixes (HBR, device-specific fixups), in addition to
the support of channel-map API.
- Addition of ASoC bindings for the compressed API, used by the
mid-x86 drivers.
- Lots of cleanups and API refreshes for ASoC codec drivers and
DaVinci.
- Conversion of OMAP to dmaengine.
- New machine driver for Wolfson Microelectronics Bells.
- New CODEC driver for Wolfson Microelectronics WM0010.
- Enhancements to the ux500 and wm2000 drivers
- A new driver for DA9055 and the support for regulator bypass mode.

support for highbank, vexpress, mvebu, socfpga, and picoxcell. More
platforms will be convered over in the next few releases.
Two critical last things had to be done for this to be practical and
possible:
* Today each platform has its own include directory under
mach-<mach>/include/mach/*, and traditionally that is where a lot of
driver/platform shared definitions have gone, such as platform data
structures. They now need to move out to a common location instead,
and this branch moves a large number of those out to
include/linux/platform_data.
* Each platform used to list the device trees to compile for its
boards in mach-<mach>/Makefile.boot.
Both of the above changes will mean that there are some merge
conflicts to come (and some to resolve here). It's a one-time move and
once it settles in, we should be good for quite a while. Sorry for the
overhead.

Major thing here is that the Broadcom bcmring platform is removed. It's an
SoC that's used on some stationary VoIP platforms, and is in desperate
need of some cleanup. Broadcom came back and suggested that we just
deprecate the platform for now, since they aren't going to spend the
resources needed on cleaning it up, and there are no users of the platform
directly from mainline.

Most notable here is probably the addition of basic support for the
BCM2835, an SoC used in some of the Roku 2 players as well as the
much-hyped Raspberry Pi, cleaned up and contributed by Stephen
Warren. It's still early days on mainline support, with just the
basics working. But it has to start somewhere!
Beyond that there's some conversions of clock infrastructure on tegra
to common clock, misc updates for several other platforms, and OMAP
now has its own bus (under drivers/bus) to manage its devices through.
This branch adds two new directories outside of arch/arm:
drivers/irqchip for new irq controllers, and drivers/bus for the above
OMAP bus. It's expected that some of the other platforms will migrate
parts of their platforms to those directories over time as well.

Here is the big USB pull request for 3.7-rc1
There are lots of gadget driver changes (including copying a bunch of
files into the drivers/staging/ccg/ directory so that the other gadget
drivers can be fixed up properly without breaking that driver), and we
remove the old obsolete ub.c driver from the tree. There are also the
usual XHCI set of updates, and other various driver changes and updates.
We also are trying hard to remove the old dbg() macro, but the final
bits of that removal will be coming in through the networking tree
before we can delete it for good.
All of these patches have been in the linux-next tree.

Harmony uses a TPS6586x regulator. Instantiate this, and hook up a
couple of fixed GPIO-controlled regulators too.
Based on Ventana regulator patch by Stephen Warren <swarren@nvidia.com>
and converted to Harmony.
swarren made the following changes:
* Added ldo0 regulator configuration to device tree, and updated
board-harmony-pcie.c for the new regulator name.
* Fixed vdd_1v05's voltage from 10.5V to 1.05V.
* Modified board-harmony-pcie.c to obtain the en_vdd_1v05 GPIO number at
run-time from device tree instead of hard-coding it.
* Removed board-harmony{-power.c,.h} now that they're unused.
* Disabled vdd_1v05 regulator; the code in board-harmony-pcie.c hijacks
this GPIO for now. This will be fixed when the PCIe driver is re-
written as a driver. The code can't regulator_get("vdd_1v05") right
now, because the vdd_1v05 regulator's probe gets deferred due to its
supply being the PMIC, which gets probed after the regulator the first
time around, and this dependency is only resolved by repeated probing,
which happens when deferred_probe_initcall() is called, which happens
in a late initcall, whose runtime order relative to harmony_pcie_init()
is undefined, since that's also called from a late initcall.
* Removed unused harmony_pcie_initcall().

Harmony can be booted using device tree with equal functionality as when
booted using a board file. Remove as much of the board file as is
possible, since it's no longer needed.
Two special-cases are still left in board-dt-tegra20.c, since the Tegra
PCIe driver doesn't support device tree yet, and the Harmony .dts file
doesn't yet describe regulators which are needed for PCIe. This logic is
now enabled unconditionally rather than via CONFIG_MACH_HARMONY. While
this is more code than other boards, it's still unlikely to be much of a
problem, and both regulators and PCIe should be supported via device tree
in the near future, allowing the remaining code to be removed.

When changing a PLL's rate, it must have no active children. The CPU
clock cannot be stopped, and CPU clock's divider is not used. The old
clock driver used to handle this by internally reparenting the CPU clock
onto a different PLL when changing the CPU clock rate. However, the new
common-clock based clock driver does not do this, and probably cannot do
this due to the locking issues it would cause.
To solve this, have the Tegra cpufreq driver explicitly perform the
reparenting operations itself. This is probably reasonable anyway,
since such reparenting is somewhat a matter of policy (e.g. which
alternate clock source to use, whether to leave the CPU clock a child
of the alternate clock source if it's running at the desired rate),
and hence is something more appropriate for the cpufreq driver than
the core clock driver anyway.

This patch converts tegra clock code to generic clock framework in following way:
- Implement clk_ops as required by generic clk framework. (tegraXX_clocks.c)
- Use platform specific struct clk_tegra in clk_ops implementation instead of struct clk.
- Initialize all clock data statically. (tegraXX_clocks_data.c)
Legacy framework did not have recalc_rate and is_enabled functions. Implemented these functions.
Removed init function. It's functionality is splitted into recalc_rate and is_enabled.
Static initialization is used since slab is not up in .init_early and clock
is needed to be initialized before clockevent/clocksource initialization.
Macros redefined for clk_tegra.
Also, single struct clk_tegra is used for all type of clocks (PLL, peripheral etc.). This
is to move quickly to generic common clock framework so that other dependent features will
not be blocked (such as DT binding).
Enabling COMMON_CLOCK config moved to ARCH_TEGRA since it is enabled for both Tegra20

A U16 divider can divide a clock by 1..64K. However, the range-check
in clk_div16_get_divider() limited the range to 1..256. Fix this. NVIDIA's
downstream kernels already have the fixed range-check.
In practice this is a problem on Whistler's I2C bus, which uses a bus
clock rate of 100KHz (rather than the more common 400KHz on Tegra boards),
which requires a HW module clock of 8*100KHz. The parent clock is 216MHz,
leading to a desired divider of 270. Prior to conversion to the common
clock framework, this range error was somehow ignored/irrelevant and
caused no problems. However, the common clock framework evidently has
more rigorous error-checking, so this failure causes the I2C bus to fail
to operate correctly.

Some boards use UART D for the main serial console, and some use UART A.
UART D's clock is listed in board-dt-tegra20.c's clock table, whereas
UART A's clock is not. This causes the clock code to think UART A's
clock is unsed. The common clock framework turns off unused clocks at
boot time. This makes the kernel appear to hang. Add UART A's clock into
the clock table to prevent this. Eventually, this requirement should be
handled by the UART driver, and/or properties in a board-specific device
tree file.

Device have SYS rail which is always ON. It is system power bus. LDO5

As Stephen Rothwell reports, a849088aa1 ("ARM: Fix ioremap() of
address zero") from the arm-current tree and commit c279443709 ("ARM:
Add fixed PCI i/o mapping") from the arm-soc tree conflict in
a nontrivial way in arch/arm/mm/mmu.c.
Rob Herring explains:
The PCI i/o reserved area has a dummy physical address of 0 and
needs to be skipped by ioremap searches. So we don't set
VM_ARM_STATIC_MAPPING to prevent matches by ioremap. The vm_struct
settings don't really matter when we do the real mapping of the
i/o space.
Since commit a849088aa1 is at the start of the fixes branch
in the arm tree, we can merge it into the branch that contains
the other ioremap changes.
