This patch adds support for the new v2 version of the axi-clkgen core.
Unfortunately the method of accessing the registers is quite different on v2,
while the content still stays largely the same. So the patch adds a small
abstraction layer which implements the specific read and write functions for v1
and v2 in callback functions.

Add code for device tree support of clocks in the BCM281xx family of
SoCs. Machines in this family use peripheral clocks implemented by
"Kona" clock control units (CCUs). (Other Broadcom SoC families use
Kona style CCUs as well, but support for them is not yet upstream.)
A BCM281xx SoC has multiple CCUs, each of which manages a set of
clocks on the SoC. A Kona peripheral clock is composite clock that
may include a gate, a parent clock multiplexor, and zero, one
or two dividers. There is a variety of gate types, and many gates
implement hardware-managed gating (often called "auto-gating").
Most dividers divide their input clock signal by an integer value
(one or more). There are also "fractional" dividers which allow
division by non-integer values. To accomodate such dividers,
clock rates and dividers are generally maintained by the code in
"scaled" form, which allows integer and fractional dividers to
be handled in a uniform way.
If present, the gate for a Kona peripheral clock must be enabled
when a change is made to its multiplexor or one of its dividers.
Additionally, dividers and multiplexors have trigger registers which
must be used whenever the divider value or selected parent clock is
changed. The same trigger is often used for a divider and
multiplexor, and a BCM281xx peripheral clock occasionally has two
triggers.
The gate, dividers, and parent clock selector are treated in this
code as "components" of a peripheral clock. Their functionality is
implemented directly--e.g. the common clock framework gate
implementation is not used for a Kona peripheral clock gate. (This
has being considered though, and the intention is to evolve this
code to leverage common code as much as possible.)
The source code is divided into three general portions:
drivers/clk/bcm/clk-kona.h
drivers/clk/bcm/clk-kona.c
These implement the basic Kona clock functionality,
including the clk_ops methods and various routines to
manipulate registers and interpret their values. This
includes some functions used to set clocks to a desired
initial state (though this feature is only partially
implemented here).
drivers/clk/bcm/clk-kona-setup.c
This contains generic run-time initialization code for
data structures representing Kona CCUs and clocks. This
encapsulates the clock structure initialization that can't
be done statically. Note that there is a great deal of
validity-checking code here, making explicit certain
assumptions in the code. This is mostly useful for adding
new clock definitions and could possibly be disabled for
production use.
drivers/clk/bcm/clk-bcm281xx.c
This file defines the specific CCUs used by BCM281XX family
SoCs, as well as the specific clocks implemented by each.
It declares a device tree clock match entry for each CCU
defined.
include/dt-bindings/clock/bcm281xx.h
This file defines the selector (index) values used to
identify a particular clock provided by a CCU. It consists
entirely of C preprocessor constants, to be used by both the
C source and device tree source files.

The clk_init_data struct is allocated in the stack. All members of
this struct should be initialized before using otherwise it will
lead to unpredictable situation as it can contain garbage.
Ultimately the clk->flag field contains garbage. In my case it leads
that flag CLK_IGNORE_UNUSED is set for most of clocks. As result a
bunch of unused clocks cannot be disabled.
So initialize flags in this structure too.

The clkc has its registers in the range of the slcr.
Instead of passing around the slcr base address pointer, let the clkc get the
address from the DT.
This prepares the slcr to be a real driver with multiple memory ranges

Init order of CLK_OF_DECLARE'd drivers depends on compile order.
Unfortunately, clk_of_init does not allow drivers to return errors,
e.g. -EPROBE_DEFER if parent clocks have not been registered, yet.
To avoid init order woes for MVEBU clock drivers, we take care of
proper init order ourselves. This patch joins core-clk and gating-clk

"clk: si5351: declare all device IDs for module loading"
removed the common i2c_device_id and introduced new ones for each variant
of the clock generator. Instead of exploiting that information in the driver,
it still depends on platform_data passing the chips .variant.
This removes the now redundant .variant from the platform_data and puts it in
i2c_device_id's .driver_data instead.

Some OMAP clocks require knowledge about their parent clockdomain for
book keeping purposes. This patch creates a new DT binding for TI
clockdomains, which act as a collection of device clocks. Clockdomain
itself is rather misleading name for the hardware functionality, as at
least on OMAP4 / OMAP5 / DRA7 the clockdomains can be collections of either
clocks and/or IP blocks, thus idle-domain or such might be more appropriate.
For most cases on these SoCs, the kernel doesn't even need the information
and the mappings can be ignored.

Some of Qualcomm's clocks can change their parent and rate at the

hardware to the common clock framework by adding a new
set_rate_and_parent() op. When the clock framework determines
that both the parent and the rate are going to change during
clk_set_rate() it will call the .set_rate_and_parent() op if
available and fall back to calling .set_parent() followed by
.set_rate() otherwise.

prima2 and atlas6, there are many shared clocks but there are still
some different register layout and hardware clocks, then result in
different clock table.
here we re-arch the driver to
1. clk-common.c provides common clocks for prima2 and atlas6,
2. clk-prima2.h describles registers of prima2 and clk-prima2.c provides
prima2 specific clocks and clock table.
3. clk-atlas6.h describles registers of atlas6 and clk-atlas6.c provides

The clks member of the clk_onecell_data structure should
point to a valid clk array (no NULL entries allowed),
and the clk_num should be equal to the number
of elements in the clks array.
The MSTP driver fails to satisfy the above conditions.
The clks array may contain NULL entries if not all
clock-indices are initialized in the device tree.
Thus, if the clock indices are interleaved we end up
with NULL pointers in-between.
The other problem is the driver uses maximum clock index
as the number of clocks, which is incorrect (less than
the actual number of clocks by 1).
Fix the first issue by pre-setting the whole clks array
with ERR_PTR(-ENOENT) pointers instead of zeros; and
use maximum clkidx + 1 as the number of clocks to fix
the other one.
This should make of_clk_src_onecell_get() return the following:
* valid clk pointers for all clocks registered;
* ERR_PTR(-EINVAL) if (idx >= clk_data->clk_num);
* ERR_PTR(-ENOENT) if the clock at the selected index was not
initialized in the device tree (and was not registered).

Commit 6d9252bd9a (clk: Add support for power of two type dividers)
merged in v3.6 added the _get_val function to convert a divisor value to
a register field value depending on the flags. However it used the type
u8 for the div field, causing divisors larger than 255 to be masked
and the resultant clock rate to be too high.
E.g. in my case an 11bit divider was supposed to divide 24.576 MHz down
to 32.768KHz. The divisor was correctly calculated as 750 (0x2ee). This
was masked to 238 (0xee) resulting in a frequency of 103.26KHz.

Allwinner sunXi SoCs clock changes
This contains the clk driver parts of the "[PATCH v3 00/13] clk: sunxi:
add PLL5 and PLL6 support" series. It adds support for PLL4/5/6 and
mod0 clocks on most sunxi platforms. Additionally, it contains "[PATCH
1/4] clk: sunxi: Allwinner A20 output clock support" (v2) from Chen-Yu
Tsai, which adds support for output clocks present on A20.
This patch adds support for the external clock outputs on the
Allwinner A20 SoC. The clock outputs are similar to "module 0"
type clocks, with different offsets and widths for clock factors.

This series converts the Tegra DTs and drivers to use the common/
standard DMA and reset bindings, rather than custom bindings. It also
adds complete documentation for the Tegra clock bindings without
actually changing any binding definitions.
This conversion relies on a few sets of patches in branches from outside
the Tegra tree:
1) A patch to add an DMA channel request API which allows deferred probe
to be implemented.
2) A patch to implement a common part of the of_xlate function for DMA
controllers.
3) Some ASoC patches (which in turn rely on (1) above), which support
deferred probe during DMA channel allocation.
4) The Tegra clock driver changes for 3.14.

branches.
In turn, this branch is or will be pulled into a few places that either
rely on features introduced here, or would otherwise conflict with the
patches:
a) Tegra's own for-3.14/powergate and for-4.14/dt branches, to avoid
conflicts.
b) The DRM tree, which introduces new code that relies on the reset
controller framework introduced in this branch, and to avoid

This patch adds support for accuracy retrieval on fixed clocks.
It also adds a new dt property called 'clock-accuracy' to define the clock
accuracy.
This can be usefull for oscillator (RC, crystal, ...) definitions which are
always given an accuracy characteristic.
Signed-off-by: Boris BREZILLON <b.brezillon@overkiz.com>
Signed-off-by: Mike Turquette <mturquette@linaro.org>
The clock accuracy is expressed in ppb (parts per billion) and represents
the possible clock drift.
Say you have a clock (e.g. an oscillator) which provides a fixed clock of
20MHz with an accuracy of +- 20Hz. This accuracy expressed in ppb is
20Hz/20MHz = 1000 ppb (or 1 ppm).
Clock users may need the clock accuracy information in order to choose
the best clock (the one with the best accuracy) across several available
clocks.
This patch adds clk accuracy retrieval support for common clk framework by
means of a new function called clk_get_accuracy.
This function returns the given clock accuracy expressed in ppb.
In order to get the clock accuracy, this implementation adds one callback
called recalc_accuracy to the clk_ops structure.
This callback is given the parent clock accuracy (if the clock is not a
root clock) and should recalculate the given clock accuracy.
This callback is optional and may be implemented if the clock is not
a perfect clock (accuracy != 0 ppb).

In some use cases Zynq's FPGA clocks are used as static clock
generators for IP in the FPGA part of the SOC for which no Linux driver
exists and would control those clocks. To avoid automatic
gating of these clocks in such cases a new property - fclk-enable - is
added to the clock controller's DT description to accomodate such use
cases. It's value is a bitmask, where a set bit results in enabling
the corresponding FCLK through the clkc.
FPGA clocks are handled following the rules below:
If an FCLK is not enabled by bootloaders, that FCLK will be disabled in
Linux. Drivers can enable and control it through the CCF as usual.
If an FCLK is enabled by bootloaders AND the corresponding bit in the
'fclk-enable' DT property is set, that FCLK will be enabled by the clkc,
resulting in an off by one reference count for that clock. Ensuring it
will always be running.

clk_unregister() is currently not implemented and it is required when
a clock provider module needs to be unloaded.
Normally the clock supplier module is prevented to be unloaded by
taking reference on the module in clk_get().
For cases when the clock supplier module deinitializes despite the
consumers of its clocks holding a reference on the module, e.g. when
the driver is unbound through "unbind" sysfs attribute, there are
empty clock ops added. These ops are assigned temporarily to struct
clk and used until all consumers release the clock, to avoid invoking
callbacks from the module which just got removed.

There is currently a race condition in the device tree part of clk_get()
function, since the pointer returned from of_clk_get_by_name() may become
invalid before __clk_get() call. E.g. due to the clock provider driver
remove() callback being called in between of_clk_get_by_name() and
__clk_get().
Fix this by doing both the look up and __clk_get() operations with the
clock providers list mutex held. This ensures that the clock pointer
returned from __of_clk_get_from_provider() call and passed to __clk_get()
is valid, as long as the clock supplier module first removes its clock
provider instance and then does clk_unregister() on the corresponding

This patch adds at91 PMC (Power Management Controller) base support.
All at91 clocks managed by the PMC unit will use this framework.
This framework provides the following fonctionalities:
- define a new struct at91_pmc to hide PMC internals (lock, PMC memory
mapping, irq domain, ...)
- read/write helper functions (pmc_read/write) to access PMC registers
- lock/unlock helper functions (pmc_lock/unlock) to lock/unlock access to
pmc registers
- a new irq domain and its associated irq chip to request PMC specific
interrupts (useful for clk prepare callbacks)
The PMC unit is declared as a dt clk provider (CLK_OF_DECLARE), and every
clk using this framework will declare a table of of_at91_clk_init_cb_t
and add it to the pmc_clk_ids table.
When the pmc dt clock setup function is called (by of_clk_init function),
it triggers the registration of every supported child clk (those matching
the definitions in pmc_clk_ids).
This patch copies at91_pmc_base (memory mapping) and at91sam9_idle

Allwinner sunXi SoCs clock changes
Those are mostly random fixes, except for one patch to the composite
clock that adds support for automatic reparenting.
Conflicts:
drivers/clk/sunxi/clk-sunxi.c
In case of error, the function __clk_lookup() returns NULL pointer

clk_round_rate() can be used by drivers to determine whether or not a
frequency is supported by the clock. The current Tegra clock driver
outputs an error message and a stacktrace when the requested rate isn't
supported. That's fine for clk_set_rate(), but it's confusing when all
the driver does is query whether or not a frequency is supported.

The function socfpga_clk_init() can support clocks that do not have a divider

[Maybe the third time will be the charm. -Alex]
If CONFIG_COMMON_CLK_DEBUG is defined, clk_debug_create_one() is
called to populate a debugfs directory with a few entries that are
common for all clock types.
If an error happens after creating the first one debugfs_remove() is
called on the clock's directory. The problem with this is that no
cleanup is done on the debugfs files already created in that
directory, so the directory never actually gets removed. This
problem is silently ignored.
Fix this by calling debugfs_remove_recursive() instead. Reset the
clk->dentry field to null afterward, to ensure it can't be mistaken
as a valid pointer.

Many clocks are common between several Tegra SoCs. Define an enum to list
them so we can move them to separate files which can be shared between

This patch makes periph_clk_enb_refcnt a global array, dynamically allocated
at boottime. It simplifies the macros somewhat and allows clocks common to
several Tegra SoCs to be defined in a separate files. Also the clks array
becomes global and dynamically allocated which allows the DT registration to
be moved to a generic funcion.

This patch determines the register bank for clock enable/disable and reset
based on the clock ID instead of hardcoding it in the tables describing the
clocks. This results in less data to be maintained in the tables, making the
code easier to understand. The full benefit of the change will be realized once
also other clocktypes will be table based.

Pull ARM SoC platform changes from Olof Johansson:
"New and updated SoC support. Among the things new for this release
are:
- More support for the AM33xx platforms from TI
- Tegra 124 support, and some updates to older tegra families as well
- imx cleanups and updates across the board
- A rename of Broadcom's Mobile platforms which were introduced as
ARCH_BCM, and turned out to be too broad a name. New name is
ARCH_BCM_MOBILE.
- A whole bunch of updates and fixes for integrator, making the
platform code more modern and switches over to DT-only booting.
- Support for two new Renesas shmobile chipsets. Next up for them is
more work on consolidation instead of introduction of new
non-multiplatform SoCs, we're all looking forward to that!
- Misc cleanups for older Samsung platforms, some Allwinner updates,
etc"

This branch contains code cleanups, moves and removals for 3.13.
Qualcomm msm targets had a bunch of code removal for legacy non-DT
platforms. Nomadik saw more device tree conversions and cleanup of old
code. Tegra has some code refactoring, etc.
One longish patch series from Sebastian Hasselbarth changes the init_time
hooks and tries to use a generic implementation for most platforms,
since they were all doing more or less the same things.
Finally the "shark" platform is removed in this release. It's been
abandoned for a while and nobody seems to care enough to keep it
around. If someone comes along and wants to resurrect it, the removal
can easily be reverted and code brought back.
Beyond this, mostly a bunch of removals of stale content across the
board, etc.

Some important clocks may get disabled as a side effect of another clock
being disabled, because they have no consumers. This patch implements a
mechanism so those clocks can be claimed by the driver and therefore
remain enabled at all times.

This commit adds .determine_rate support to the composite clock. It will
use the .determine_rate callback from the rate component if available,
and fall back on the mux component otherwise. This allows composite
clocks to enjoy the benefits of automatic clock reparenting.

There are a handful of conflicts here -- some of the already merged SoC
branches should have been based on the cleanup but weren't.

conflicts on kirkwood were fixed up.

Due to a typo or similar, the peripheral group 2 clock 11
gate was set to bit 1 instead of bit 11. We need to fix this
to be able to set the correct enable bit in the device tree:
when trying to correct the bit assignment in the device tree,
the system would hang.

The order of arguments in the call to vco_set() for the ICST clocks appears to
have been switched in error, which results in the VCO not being initialised
correctly. This in turn stops the integrated LCD on things like Integrator/CP
from working correctly.
This patch fixes the order and restores the expected functionality.
