40a5dcba4e clk: sunxi: register factors clocks behind composite
This commit reworks factors clock registration to be done behind a
composite clock. This allows us to additionally add a gate, mux or
divisors, as it will be needed by some future PLLs.

e7d248f0e0 ARM: tegra: implement common DMA and resets DT bindings
This series converts the Tegra DTs and drivers to use the common/
standard DMA and reset bindings, rather than custom bindings. It also
adds complete documentation for the Tegra clock bindings without
 actually changing any binding definitions.

This conversion relies on a few sets of patches in branches from outside
 the Tegra tree:

 1) A patch to add an DMA channel request API which allows deferred probe
    to be implemented.

 2) A patch to implement a common part of the of_xlate function for DMA
    controllers.

 3) Some ASoC patches (which in turn rely on (1) above), which support
deferred probe during DMA channel allocation.

 4) The Tegra clock driver changes for 3.14.

Consequently, this branch is based on a merge of all of those external
 branches.

In turn, this branch is or will be pulled into a few places that either
rely on features introduced here, or would otherwise conflict with the
 patches:

 a) Tegra's own for-3.14/powergate and for-4.14/dt branches, to avoid
    conflicts.

 b) The DRM tree, which introduces new code that relies on the reset
controller framework introduced in this branch, and to avoid
    conflicts.

0903ea6017 clk: add accuracy support for fixed clock
This patch adds support for accuracy retrieval on fixed clocks.
It also adds a new dt property called 'clock-accuracy' to define the clock
accuracy.

This can be usefull for oscillator (RC, crystal, ...) definitions which are
always given an accuracy characteristic.

5279fc402a clk: add clk accuracy retrieval support
The clock accuracy is expressed in ppb (parts per billion) and represents
the possible clock drift.
Say you have a clock (e.g. an oscillator) which provides a fixed clock of
20MHz with an accuracy of +- 20Hz. This accuracy expressed in ppb is
20Hz/20MHz = 1000 ppb (or 1 ppm).

Clock users may need the clock accuracy information in order to choose
the best clock (the one with the best accuracy) across several available
clocks.

This patch adds clk accuracy retrieval support for common clk framework by
means of a new function called clk_get_accuracy.
This function returns the given clock accuracy expressed in ppb.

In order to get the clock accuracy, this implementation adds one callback
called recalc_accuracy to the clk_ops structure.
This callback is given the parent clock accuracy (if the clock is not a
root clock) and should recalculate the given clock accuracy.

This callback is optional and may be implemented if the clock is not
a perfect clock (accuracy != 0 ppb).

ba52f8a986 clk/zynq/clkc: Add 'fclk-enable' feature
In some use cases Zynq's FPGA clocks are used as static clock
generators for IP in the FPGA part of the SOC for which no Linux driver
exists and would control those clocks. To avoid automatic
gating of these clocks in such cases a new property - fclk-enable - is
added to the clock controller's DT description to accomodate such use
cases. It's value is a bitmask, where a set bit results in enabling
the corresponding FCLK through the clkc.

FPGA clocks are handled following the rules below:

If an FCLK is not enabled by bootloaders, that FCLK will be disabled in
Linux. Drivers can enable and control it through the CCF as usual.

If an FCLK is enabled by bootloaders AND the corresponding bit in the
'fclk-enable' DT property is set, that FCLK will be enabled by the clkc,
resulting in an off by one reference count for that clock. Ensuring it
will always be running.

3a5aec246f clk: Fix debugfs reparenting NULL pointer dereference
Adding clocks from a kernel module can cause a NULL pointer
dereference if the parent of a clock is added after the clock is
added. This happens because __clk_init() iterates over the list
of orphans and reparents the orphans to the clock being
registered before creating the debugfs entry for the clock.
Create the debugfs entry first before reparenting the orphans.

fcb0ee6a3d clk: Implement clk_unregister
clk_unregister() is currently not implemented and it is required when
a clock provider module needs to be unloaded.

Normally the clock supplier module is prevented to be unloaded by
taking reference on the module in clk_get().

For cases when the clock supplier module deinitializes despite the
consumers of its clocks holding a reference on the module, e.g. when
the driver is unbound through "unbind" sysfs attribute, there are
empty clock ops added. These ops are assigned temporarily to struct
clk and used until all consumers release the clock, to avoid invoking
callbacks from the module which just got removed.

ac2df527fb clk: Add common __clk_get(), __clk_put() implementations
This patch adds common __clk_get(), __clk_put() clkdev helpers that
replace their platform specific counterparts when the common clock

3a3d2b0551 clkdev: Fix race condition in clock lookup from device tree
There is currently a race condition in the device tree part of clk_get()
function, since the pointer returned from of_clk_get_by_name() may become
invalid before __clk_get() call. E.g. due to the clock provider driver
remove() callback being called in between of_clk_get_by_name() and
__clk_get().

Fix this by doing both the look up and __clk_get() operations with the
clock providers list mutex held. This ensures that the clock pointer
returned from __of_clk_get_from_provider() call and passed to __clk_get()
is valid, as long as the clock supplier module first removes its clock
provider instance and then does clk_unregister() on the corresponding
clocks.

1f22f8bb64 clk: at91: add PMC programmable clocks

A programmable clock is a clock which can be exported on a given pin to clock
external devices.

The number of available programmable clocks depends on the SoC you're using.
Programmable clock driver only implements the clock setting (clock rate and
parent setting). It must be chained to a system clock in order to

The PCKX pins used to output the clock signals must be assigned to the
appropriate peripheral (see atmel's datasheets).

0ad6125b15 clk: at91: add PMC base support
This patch adds at91 PMC (Power Management Controller) base support.

All at91 clocks managed by the PMC unit will use this framework.

This framework provides the following fonctionalities:
- define a new struct at91_pmc to hide PMC internals (lock, PMC memory
  mapping, irq domain, ...)
- read/write helper functions (pmc_read/write) to access PMC registers
- lock/unlock helper functions (pmc_lock/unlock) to lock/unlock access to
  pmc registers
- a new irq domain and its associated irq chip to request PMC specific
interrupts (useful for clk prepare callbacks)

The PMC unit is declared as a dt clk provider (CLK_OF_DECLARE), and every
clk using this framework will declare a table of of_at91_clk_init_cb_t
and add it to the pmc_clk_ids table.

When the pmc dt clock setup function is called (by of_clk_init function),
it triggers the registration of every supported child clk (those matching
the definitions in pmc_clk_ids).

This patch copies at91_pmc_base (memory mapping) and at91sam9_idle
(function) from arch/arm/mach-at91/clock.c (which is not compiled if
COMMON_CLK_AT91 is enabled).

b5f98e65c0 clk: clean up everything on debugfs error
[Maybe the third time will be the charm. -Alex]

If CONFIG_COMMON_CLK_DEBUG is defined, clk_debug_create_one() is
called to populate a debugfs directory with a few entries that are
common for all clock types.

If an error happens after creating the first one debugfs_remove() is
called on the clock's directory. The problem with this is that no
cleanup is done on the debugfs files already created in that
directory, so the directory never actually gets removed. This
problem is silently ignored.

Fix this by calling debugfs_remove_recursive() instead. Reset the
clk->dentry field to null afterward, to ensure it can't be mistaken
as a valid pointer.

343a607cb7 clk: tegra: common periph_clk_enb_refcnt and clks
This patch makes periph_clk_enb_refcnt a global array, dynamically allocated
at boottime. It simplifies the macros somewhat and allows clocks common to
several Tegra SoCs to be defined in a separate files. Also the clks array
becomes global and dynamically allocated which allows the DT registration to
be moved to a generic funcion.

This patch determines the register bank for clock enable/disable and reset

also other clocktypes will be table based.

21604cdcdc ARM: SoC cleanups for 3.13
This branch contains code cleanups, moves and removals for 3.13.

Qualcomm msm targets had a bunch of code removal for legacy non-DT
platforms. Nomadik saw more device tree conversions and cleanup of old
code. Tegra has some code refactoring, etc.

One longish patch series from Sebastian Hasselbarth changes the init_time
hooks and tries to use a generic implementation for most platforms,
since they were all doing more or less the same things.

Finally the "shark" platform is removed in this release. It's been
abandoned for a while and nobody seems to care enough to keep it
around. If someone comes along and wants to resurrect it, the removal
can easily be reverted and code brought back.

Beyond this, mostly a bunch of removals of stale content across the
 board, etc.

This patch fixes the tclk frequency array for the Armada-370 SoC.

A wrong tclk frequency affects the following drivers: mvsdio, mvneta,
i2c-mv64xxx and mvebu-devbus. This list may be incomplete.

About the mvneta Ethernet driver, note that the tclk frequency is used
to compute the Rx time coalescence. Then, this bug harms the coalescence

da0f0b2c3a clk: Correct lookup logic in clk_fetch_parent_index()
This function is supposed to iterate over all parents of given child
clock to find the index of given parent clock in its parent list,
using parent cache if possible and falling back to string compare
otherwise. However currently the logic falls back to string compare in
every iteration in which clock cache entry does not match given parent,
due to wrong check conditions.

This patch corrects the logic to continue the loop if parent cache entry
is present and does not match requested parent clock. In addition,
redundant checks for parent cache array presence are removed, because it
is always allocated in the beginning of the function.

dd03ee9ae5 ARM: mxs: remove custom .init_time hook
This patch converts clk-imx2[38] clocksource_of_init compatible init
associated with fsl,imx2[38]-clkctrl. With arch/arm calling
of_clk_init(NULL) from time_init(), we can now also remove custom
.init_time hooks.

26cae166cf ARM: highbank: remove custom .init_time hook
With arch/arm calling of_clk_init(NULL) from time_init(), we can now
remove custom .init_time hooks. Highbank clock provider need a reference
to system registers, as a workaround current clk driver maps those
independent of arch code now.

9f1205d775 ARM: bcm2835: remove custom .init_time hook
With arch/arm calling of_clk_init(NULL) from time_init(), we can now
remove custom .init_time hooks. Also remove call to of_clk_init from
clk-bcm2835 with core fixed_clock match, as this has already been
registered now.

f44089a7f4 ARM: vt8500: prepare for arch-wide .init_time callback
Current vt8500 board init calls of_clk_init() from vtwm_clk_init. To allow
consolidation of DT driven .time_init, move of_clock_init() to a temporary
.time_init callback that will be removed when arch-wide callback is available.
With previous pmc_base parsing helper for vt8500 clock providers, we can also
safely remove the call to vtwm_clk_init() and get rid of some includes.

f9e4a18de7 clk: vt8500: parse pmc_base from clock driver
Currently, clock providers for vt8500 depend on machine_init providing
pmc_base address before calling of_clk_init. With upcoming arch-wide
.time_init calling of_clk_init, we should make clock providers independent
of mach code. This adds a pmc_base parsing helper to current clock provider
that gets called if there is no pmc_base set, yet.

be0804513a clk: sunxi: declare OF clock provider
Common clock framework allows to register clock providers to get called
on of_clk_init() by using CLK_OF_DECLARE. This converts sunxi clock
providers to make use of it and get rid of the mach specific clk init
call. As sunxi has a bunch of independent clk provider nodes, we hook
current clock init to board compatible to make it called once.

74227e65f9 clk: nomadik: declare OF clock provider
Common clock framework allows to register clock providers to get called
on of_clk_init() by using CLK_OF_DECLARE. This converts nomadik clock
provider to make use of it and get rid of the mach specific clk init
call. As clocks require system reset controller base address to be
initialized each clock driver checks src_base and calls new
nomadik_src_init if required.

ea25a900f5 clk: nomadik: move src init out of nomadik_clk_init
nomadik_clk_init currently also maps system reset controller base address
used by clocks and registers a reboot notifier. To allow further cleanup of
nomadik clk setup, this moves system reset controller setup from
nomadik_clk_init to its own function.
