936c7ba4dd net: qed: attention clearing properties
On different hardware events we have to respond differently,
on some of hardware indications hw attention (error condition)
should be cleared by the driver to continue normal functioning.

Here we introduce attention clear flags, and put them on some
important events (in aeu_descs).

d8d6c5a7be net: qed: critical err reporting to management firmware
On various critical errors, notification handler should also report
the err information into the management firmware.

MFW can interact with server/motherboard backend agents - these are
used by server manufacturers to monitor server HW health.

Thus, it is important for driver to report on any faulty conditions

2ec276d5b2 net: qed: invoke err notify on critical areas
In a number of critical places not only debug trace should be printed,
but the appropriate hw error condition should be raised and error
handling/recovery should start.

Introduce our new qed_hw_err_notify invocation in these places to
record and indicate critical error conditions in hardware.

a8736ea83b net: qede: add hw err scheduled handler
qede (ethernet level driver) registers a callback handler.
This handler maintains eth dev state flags/bits to track error processing.

It implements in place processing part for nonsleeping context (WARN_ON
trigger), and a deferred (delayed work) part which triggers recovery
process for recoverable errors.

In later patches this atomic handler will come with more meat.

We introduce err_flags on ethdevice structure, its being used to record
error handling properties.

d639836ab3 net: qed: adding hw_err states and handling
Here we introduce qed device error tracking flags and error types.

qed_hw_err_notify is an entrace point to report errors.
It'll notify higher level drivers (qede/qedr/etc) to handle and recover
the error.

List of posible errors comes from hardware interfaces, but could be
extended in future.

37d4f8a6b4 net: qed: Disable SRIOV functionality inside kdump kernel
Since we have kdump kernel(s) running under severe memory constraint
it makes sense to disable the qed SRIOV functionality when running the
kdump kernel as kdump configurations on several distributions don't
support SRIOV targets for saving the vmcore (see [1] for example).

Currently the qed SRIOV functionality ends up consuming memory in
the kdump kernel, when we don't really use the same.

An example log seen in the kdump kernel with the SRIOV functionality
enabled can be seen below (obtained via memstrack tool, see [2]):

73e030977f net: qed*: Reduce RX and TX default ring count when running inside kdump kernel
Normally kdump kernel(s) run under severe memory constraint with the
basic idea being to save the crashdump vmcore reliably when the primary
kernel panics/hangs.

Currently the qed* ethernet driver ends up consuming a lot of memory in
the kdump kernel, leading to kdump kernel panic when one tries to save
the vmcore via ssh/nfs (thus utilizing the services of the underlying
qed* network interfaces).

An example OOM message log seen in the kdump kernel can be seen here
[1], with crashkernel size reservation of 512M.

Using tools like memstrack (see [2]), we can track the modules taking up
the bulk of memory in the kdump kernel and organize the memory usage
output as per 'highest allocator first'. An example log for the OOM case
indicates that the qed* modules end up allocating approximately 216M
memory, which is a large part of the total crashkernel size:

This patch reduces the default RX and TX ring count from 1024 to 64
when running inside kdump kernel, which leads to a significant memory
saving.

An example log with the patch applied shows the reduced memory
allocation in the kdump kernel:

731815e720 qede: Add support for handling the pcie errors.
The error recovery is handled by management firmware (MFW) with the help of
qed/qede drivers. Upon detecting the errors, driver informs MFW about this
event which in turn starts a recovery process. MFW sends ERROR_RECOVERY
notification to the driver which performs the required cleanup/recovery
from the driver side.

8063f761cd qed: Fix use after free in qed_chain_free
The qed_chain data structure was modified in
commit 1a4a69751f ("qed: Chain support for external PBL") to support
receiving an external pbl (due to iWARP FW requirements).
The pages pointed to by the pbl are allocated in qed_chain_alloc
and their virtual address are stored in an virtual addresses array to
enable accessing and freeing the data. The physical addresses however
weren't stored and were accessed directly from the external-pbl
during free.

Destroy-qp flow, leads to freeing the external pbl before the chain is
freed, when the chain is freed it tries accessing the already freed
external pbl, leading to a use-after-free. Therefore we need to store
the physical addresses in additional to the virtual addresses in a
new data structure.

3b85720d3f qed: Fix race condition between scheduling and destroying the slowpath workqueue
Calling queue_delayed_work concurrently with
destroy_workqueue might race to an unexpected outcome -
scheduled task after wq is destroyed or other resources
(like ptt_pool) are freed (yields NULL pointer dereference).
cancel_delayed_work prevents the race by cancelling
the timer triggered for scheduling a new task.

53eca1f347 net: rename flow_action_hw_stats_types* -> flow_action_hw_stats*
flow_action_hw_stats_types_check() helper takes one of the
FLOW_ACTION_HW_STATS_*_BIT values as input. If we align
the arguments to the opening bracket of the helper there
is no way to call this helper and stay under 80 characters.

Remove the "types" part from the new flow_action helpers
and enum values.

4a34d825b8 qlogic: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array member
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language
extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare
variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2],
introduced in C99:

struct foo {
        int stuff;
        struct boo array[];
};

By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning
in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which
will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being
inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on.

Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by
this change:

"Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator
may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of
zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1]

This issue was detected with the help of Coccinelle.

af6565adb0 qede: Fix race between rdma destroy workqueue and link change event
If an event is added while the rdma workqueue is being destroyed
it could lead to several races, list corruption, null pointer
dereference during queue_work or init_queue.
This fixes the race between the two flows which can occur during
shutdown.

A kref object and a completion object are added to the rdma_dev
structure, these are initialized before the workqueue is created.
The refcnt is used to indicate work is being added to the
workqueue and ensures the cleanup flow won't start while we're in
the middle of adding the event.
Once the work is added, the refcnt is decreased and the cleanup flow
is safe to run.

2d22bc8354 qed: FW 8.42.2.0 debug features
Add to debug dump more information on the platform it was collected
from (pci func, path id).
Provide human readable reg fifo erros.

Removed static debug arrays from HSI Functions, and move them to
the hwfn.

Some structures were slightly changed (removing reserved chip id
for example) which lead to many long initializations being modified
with one parameter less during initialization. This leads to
some long diffs that don't really change anything.

6bc82d9b7e qed: rt init valid initialization changed
The QM phase init tool can be invoked multiple times during
the driver lifetime. Part of the init comes from the runtime array.
The logic for setting the values did not init all values, basically
assuming the runtime array was all zeroes. But if it was invoked
multiple times, nobody was zeroing it after the first time.

In this change we zero the runtime array right after using it.

8a52bbab39 qed: Debug feature: ilt and mdump
Part of the FW drop includes new debug capabilities implemented in the
qed_debug file. This patch dumps additional information during ethtool -d
for better debugging. The data dumped is the ilt (internal logical table)
and information gathered by the management firmware incase there was a
crash and driver was not able to extract the information (mdump).

1392d19ff1 qed: Add abstraction for different hsi values per chip
The number of BTB blocks was modified to be different between the two chip
flavors supported (BB/K2) as a result, this lead to a re-write of selecting
the default hsi value based on the chip.
This patch creates a lookup table for hsi values per chip rather than
ask again and again for every value.

997af5df23 qed: FW 8.42.2.0 Additional ll2 type
LL2 queues were a limited resource due to FW constraints.
This FW introduced a new resource which is a context based ll2 queue
(memory on host). The additional ll2 queues are required for RDMA SRIOV.
The code refers to the previous ll2 queues as ram-based or legacy, and the
new queues as ctx-based.
This change decreased the "legacy" ram-based queues therefore the first ll2
queue used for iWARP was converted to the ctx-based ll2 queue.
This feature also exposed a bug in the DIRECT_REG_WR64 macro implementation
which didn't have an effect in other use cases.

804c5702fc qed: Use dmae to write to widebus registers in fw_funcs
There are several wide-bus registers written to by the fw_funcs
that require using the dmae for atomicity. Therefore using the dmae
channel functionality was added to the fw_funcs file, since the code
is very similar to the previously used code, the structures used were
moved to qed_hsi. Due to FW conventions, the names of the flags in the
struct changed. Since this required slight modification in the places
that set the flags the code was modified to use GET/SET FIELD macros.

Instead of setting a rate limiter per vport the rate limiters are now a
global resource and set independentaly.

The patch also contains a field name change:
vport_wfq which is part of vport_params was renamed to wfq as the vport
prefix is redundant.

This patch contains register initialization related changes.
- Modifications to the runtime offsets - these are defines used
  by the driver or firmware functions to set values that are used
  by the initialization functions to set device register values.

- Additional device registers addresses were added to the register file,
  used in later stages.

22e984493a qlcnic: Fix CPU soft lockup while collecting firmware dump
Driver while collecting firmware dump takes longer time to
collect/process some of the firmware dump entries/memories.
Bigger capture masks makes it worse as it results in larger
amount of data being collected and results in CPU soft lockup.
Place cond_resched() in some of the driver flows that are
expectedly time consuming to relinquish the CPU to avoid CPU
soft lockup panic.

b6fd7b9636 net: Introduce peer to peer one step PTP time stamping.
The 1588 standard defines one step operation for both Sync and
PDelay_Resp messages.  Up until now, hardware with P2P one step has
been rare, and kernel support was lacking.  This patch adds support of
the mode in anticipation of new hardware developments.
