d950fd992e media: rcar-vin: Fix lockdep warning at stream on
Changes to v4l2-fwnode in commit [1] triggered a lockdep warning in
rcar-vin. The first attempt to solve this warning in the rcar-vin driver
was incomplete and only pushed the warning to happen at stream on time
instead of at probe time.

This change reverts the incomplete fix and properly fixes the warning by
removing the need to hold the rcar-vin specific group lock when calling
v4l2_async_notifier_parse_fwnode_endpoints_by_port(). And instead takes
it in the callback where it's really needed.

2b177f2849 media: vimc: use new release op
Use the new v4l2_subdev_internal_ops release op to free the
subdev memory only when the last user closed the file handle.

Move v4l2_device_unregister_subdev() to the end of the
vimc_ent_sd_unregister() function since now the unregister_subdev()
call may free the vimc_ent_device struct which is used after the
unregister_subdev() call. So this now has to be done last.

3650a23eda media: vimc: free vimc_cap_device when the last user disappears
Don't free vimc_cap_device immediately, instead do this
in the video_device release function which is called when the
last user closes the video device. Only then is it safe to
free the memory.

f74267b51c media: vimc: zero the media_device on probe
The media_device is part of a static global vimc_device struct.
The media framework expects this to be zeroed before it is
used, however, since this is a global this is not the case if
vimc is unbound and then bound again.

So call memset to ensure any left-over values are cleared.

218bf10e39 media: v4l2-subdev: handle module refcounting here
The module ownership refcounting was done in media_entity_get/put,
but that was very confusing and it did not work either in case an
application had a v4l-subdevX device open and the module was
unbound. When the v4l-subdevX device was closed the media_entity_put
was never called and the module refcount was left one too high, making
it impossible to unload it.

Since v4l2-subdev.c was the only place where media_entity_get/put was
called, just move the functionality to v4l2-subdev.c and drop those
confusing entity functions.

Store the module in subdev_fh so module_put no longer depends on
the media_entity struct.

0e43734d4c media: v4l2-subdev: add release() internal op
If the subdevice created a device node, then the v4l2_subdev cannot
be freed until the last user of the device node closes it.

This means that we need a release() callback in v4l2_subdev_internal_ops
that is called from the video_device release function so the subdevice
driver can postpone freeing memory until the that callback is called.

If no video device node was created then the release callback can
be called immediately when the subdev is unregistered.

ea6c7e34f3 media: vim2m: replace devm_kzalloc by kzalloc
It is not possible to use devm_kzalloc since that memory is
freed immediately when the device instance is unbound.

Various objects like the video device may still be in use
since someone has the device node open, and when that is closed
it expects the memory to be around.

So use kzalloc and release it at the appropriate time.

15d90a6ae9 media: dvb/earth-pt1: fix wrong initialization for demod blocks
earth-pt1 driver was decomposed/restructured by the commit b732539efd
("media: dvb: earth-pt1: decompose pt1 driver into sub drivers"),
but it introduced a problem regarding concurrent streaming:
Opening a new terrestial stream stops the reception of an existing,
already-opened satellite stream.

The demod IC in earth-pt1 boards contains 2 pairs of terr. and sat. blocks,
supporting 4 concurrent demodulations, and the above problem was because
the config of a terr. block contained whole reset/init of the pair blocks,
thus each open() of a terrestrial frontend wrongly cleared the config of
its peer satellite block of the demod.
This whole/pair reset should be executed earlier and not on each open().

69d68a4e9b media: vim2m: don't accept YUYV anymore as output format
Handling any Y,Cr,Cb formats require some extra logic, as it
handles a group of two pixels. That's easy while we don't do
horizontal scaling.

However, doing horizontal scaling with such formats would require
a lot more code, in order to avoid distortions, as, if it scales
to two non-consecutive points, the logic would need to read 4
points in order to properly convert to RGB.

As this is just a test driver, and we want fast algorithms,
let's just get rid of this format as an output one.

24cc418b5b media: vim2m: better handle cap/out buffers with different sizes
The vim2m driver doesn't enforce that the capture and output
buffers would have the same size. Do the right thing if the
buffers are different, zeroing the buffer before writing,
ensuring that lines will be aligned and it won't write past
the buffer area.

This is a temporary fix.

A proper fix is to either implement a simple scaler at vim2m,
or to better define the behaviour of M2M transform drivers
at V4L2 API with regards to its capability of scaling the
image or not.

In any case, such changes would deserve a separate patch
anyway, as it would imply on some behavoral change.

Also, as we have an actual bug of writing data at wrong
places, let's fix this here, and add a mental note that
we need to properly address it.

c8af44e1e7 media: vim2m: use different framesizes for bayer formats
The only real restriction at vim2m is that width should be
multiple of two, as the copy routine always copy two pixels
each time.

However, Bayer formats are defined as having a 2x2 matrix.
So, odd vertical numbers would cause color distortions at the
last line. So, it makes sense to use step 2 for vertical alignment
on Bayer.

With this patch, the reported formats for video capture will
be:

	[0]: 'RGBP' (16-bit RGB 5-6-5)
		Size: Stepwise 32x32 - 640x480 with step 2/1
	[1]: 'RGBR' (16-bit RGB 5-6-5 BE)

1875a7c857 media: vim2m: add bayer capture formats
The vim2m device is interesting to simulate a webcam. As most
sensors are arranged using bayer formats, the best is to support
to output data using those formats.

So, add support for them.

All 4 8-bit bayer formats tested with:

	$ qvidcap -p &
	$ v4l2-ctl --stream-mmap --stream-out-mmap --stream-to-host localhost --stream-lossless --stream-out-hor-speed 1 -v pixelformat=RGGB

It was tested also with GStreamer with:

05f0edadcc media: Revert "media: rc: some events are dropped by userspace"
When an rc device is created, we do not know what key codes it will
support, since a new keymap might be loaded at some later point. So,
we set all keybit in the input device.

The uevent for the input device includes all the key codes, of which
there are now 768. This overflows the size of the uevent
(UEVENT_BUFFER_SIZE) and no event is generated.

Revert for now until we figure out a different solution.

12aceee1f4 media: ov7740: fix runtime pm initialization
The runtime PM of this device is enabled after v4l2_ctrl_handler_setup(),
and this makes this device's runtime PM usage count a negative value.

The ov7740_set_ctrl() tries to do something only if the device's runtime
PM usage counter is nonzero.

ov7740_set_ctrl()
{
	if (!pm_runtime_get_if_in_use(&client->dev))
		return 0;

	<do something>;

	pm_runtime_put(&client->dev);

	return ret;
}

However, the ov7740_set_ctrl() is called by v4l2_ctrl_handler_setup()
while the runtime PM of this device is not yet enabled.  In this case,
the pm_runtime_get_if_in_use() returns -EINVAL (!= 0).

Therefore we can't bail out of this function and the usage count is
decreased by pm_runtime_put() without increment.

This fixes this problem by enabling the runtime PM of this device before
v4l2_ctrl_handler_setup() so that the ov7740_set_ctrl() is always called
when the runtime PM is enabled.

Fixing this is necessary to fix the mem2mem buffer handling API,

of a void pointer.

35deee1418 media: sun6i: Add support for JPEG media bus format
The CSI controller can take raw data from the data bus and output it
directly to capture buffers. This can be used to support the JPEG media
bus format.

While the controller can report minimum and maximum bytes per line, it
has no way to report how many lines were captured in the last frame.
Thus, even when the on-bus data is framed correctly, we have no way to
accertain the actual amount of data captured, unless we scan the buffer
for JPEG EOI markers, or sequential zeros. For now we leave bytesused
alone, and leave it up to userspace applications to parse the data.

d31b282e2c media: sun6i: Fix CSI regmap's max_register
max_register is currently set to 0x1000. This is beyond the mapped
address range of the hardware, so attempts to dump the regmap from
debugfs would trigger a kernel exception.

Furthermore, the useful registers only occupy a small section at the
beginning of the full range. Change the value to 0x9c, the last known
register on the V3s and H3.

On the A31, the register range is extended to support additional
capture channels. Since this is not yet supported, ignore it for now.

so smatch doesn't get confused.

0654cbcc8d media: uvcvideo: Use usb_make_path to fill in usb_info
The uvc driver uses this function to fill in bus_info for VIDIOC_QUERYCAP,
so use the same function when filling in the bus_info for the media device.

The current implementation only fills in part of the info. E.g. if the full
bus_info is usb-0000:01:00.0-1.4.2, then the media bus_info only has 1.4.2.

27e2add8ae media: sun6i: Add A64 CSI block support
CSI block in Allwinner A64 has similar features as like in H3,
but the default CSI_SCLK rate cannot work properly to drive the
connected sensor interface.

The tested mod cock rate is 300 MHz and BSP vfe media driver is also
using the same rate. Unfortunately there is no valid information about
clock rate in manual or any other sources except the BSP driver. so more
faith on BSP code, because same has tested in mainline.

So, add support for A64 CSI block by setting updated mod clock rate.

7e4e716244 media: vb2: keep track of timestamp status
If a stream is stopped, or if a USERPTR/DMABUF buffer is queued
backed by a different user address or dmabuf fd, then the timestamp
should be skipped by vb2_find_timestamp since the memory it refers
to is no longer valid.

So keep track of a 'copied_timestamp' state: it is set when the
timestamp is copied from an output to a capture buffer, and is
cleared when it is no longer valid.

These formats enable the trasmission of alpha channel data to other
drivers and userspace applications in addition to YUV data. For
example, buffers generated by drivers in one of these formats
can be used by the Weston compositor to display as a texture or
flipped directly onto the overlay planes with the help of a DRM
driver.

1d4c41f3d8 media: i2c: ov5640: Fix post-reset delay
According to the ov5640 specification (2.7 power up sequence), host can
access the sensor's registers 20ms after reset. Trying to access them
before leads to undefined behavior and result in sporadic initialization
errors.

6530a5eb99 media: ov5640: Fix set 15fps regression
The ov5640_try_frame_interval operation updates the FPS as per user
input based on default ov5640_frame_rate, OV5640_30_FPS which is failed
to update when user trigger 15fps.

So, initialize the default ov5640_frame_rate to OV5640_15_FPS so-that
it can satisfy to update all fps.

2b5c18f964 media: ov5640: Consolidate JPEG compression mode setting
The register value lists for all the supported resolution settings all
include a register address/value pair for setting the JPEG compression
mode. With the exception of 1080p (which sets mode 2), all resolutions
use mode 3.

The only difference between mode 2 and mode 3 is that mode 2 may have
padding data on the last line, while mode 3 does not add padding data.

As these register values were from dumps of running systems, and the
difference between the modes is quite small, using mode 3 for all
configurations should be OK.

7cb013b104 media: ov5640: Set JPEG output timings when outputting JPEG data
When compression is turned on, the on-bus data is framed according to
the compression mode, and the height and width set in VFIFO_VSIZE and
VFIFO_HSIZE. If these are not updated correctly, the sensor will send
data framed in a manner unexpected by the capture interface, such as
having more bytes per line than expected, and having the extra data
dropped. This ultimately results in corrupted data.

Set the two values when the media bus is configured for JPEG data,
meaning the sensor would be in JPEG mode.

bddc5cdfc8 media: ov5640: Add three more test patterns
The OV5640 driver currently supports a static color bar pattern with a
small vertical gamma gradient. The hardware also supports a color square
pattern, as well as having a rolling bar for dynamic sequences.

Add three more test patterns:

  - color bars with a rolling bar (but without the gamma gradient)
  - static color squares
  - color squares with a rolling bar

2aff1fc365 media: ov5640: Disable transparent feature for test pattern
The transparent feature for test patterns blends the test pattern with
an actual captured image. This makes the result non-static, subject to
changes in the sensor's field of view.

Test patterns should be predictable and deterministic, even if they are
dynamic patterns. Disable the transparent feature of the test pattern.

The OV5640 can generate many types of test patterns, some with
additional modifiers, such as a rolling bar, or gamma gradients.

Add the bit definitions for all bits in the test pattern register,
and use them to compose the values to be written to the register.

9f6d7bacc7 media: ov5640: Move test_pattern_menu before ov5640_set_ctrl_test_pattern
The OV5640 has many options for generating test patterns. Unfortunately
there is only one V4L2 control for it. Thus the driver would need to
list some or all combinations.

Move the test_pattern_menu list before the ov5640_set_ctrl_test_pattern
function that programs the hardware. This would allow us to add a
matching list of values to program into the hardware, while keeping the
two lists together for ease of maintenance.

ac105ab213 media: i2c: adv748x: Convert SW reset routine to function
The ADV748x is currently reset by writting a small table of registers to
the device.

The table lacks documentation and contains magic values to perform the
actions, including using a fake register address to introduce a delay
loop.

Remove the table, and convert to code, documenting the purpose of the
specific writes along the way.

When the adv748x driver is informed about a link being created from HDMI or
AFE to a CSI-2 TX output, the 'link_setup()' callback is invoked. Make

a33df6ac31 media: adv748x: Store the TX sink in HDMI/AFE
Both the AFE and HDMI s_stream routines (adv748x_afe_s_stream() and
adv748x_hdmi_s_stream()) have to enable the CSI-2 TX they are streaming video
data to.

With the introduction of dynamic routing between HDMI and AFE entities to
TXA, the video stream sink needs to be set at run time, and not statically
selected as the s_stream functions are currently doing.

To fix this, store a reference to the active CSI-2 TX sink for both HDMI and
AFE sources, and operate on it when starting/stopping the stream.

The power_up_tx() procedure needs to set a few registers conditionally to
the selected video source, but it currently checks for the provided tx to
be either TXA or TXB.

With the introduction of dynamic routing between HDMI and AFE entities to
TXA, checking which TX the function is operating on is not meaningful anymore.

To fix this, store the subdevice of the source providing video data to the
CSI-2 TX in the 'struct adv748x_csi2' representing the TX and check on it.
