98d0e9fc6b davinci: dm644x: Support for dm644x silicon revision 2.1
JTAG ID for DM644x silicon revision 2.1 has changed. An entry for the new
silicon revision needs to be added to the davinci_id structure. Without
this addition, EVMs with new silicon revision fail to boot the kernel.

a23f7dc82d davinci: Fix watchdog reset code
The davinci reset routine, davinci_watchdog_reset(), sets the
TCR register instead of the TGCR register as it should to put
the WDT into its "Initial State".

It also writes the WDTCR register without the proper WDKEY
which is pointless since the register will be write-protected.

- restructure to support multiple channel controllers by using

- Move queue related mappings to dm<soc>.c

  EDMA in DM355 and DM644x has two transfer controllers while DM646x
  has four transfer controllers. Moving the queue to tc mapping and
  queue priority mapping to dm<soc>.c will be helpful to probe these
  mappings from platform device so that the machine_is_* testing will
  be avoided.

- add channel mapping logic

  Channel mapping logic is introduced in dm646x EDMA. This implies
  that there is no fixed association for a channel number to a
  parameter entry number. In other words, using the DMA channel
  mapping registers (DCHMAPn), a PaRAM entry can be mapped to any
  channel. While in the case of dm644x and dm355 there is a fixed
  mapping between the EDMA channel and Param entry number.

d09a2afc93 ARM: OMAP: McBSP: Merge two functions into omap_mcbsp_start/_stop
Functionality of functions omap_mcbsp_xmit_enable and omap_mcbsp_recv_enable
can be merged into omap_mcbsp_start and omap_mcbsp_stop since API of
those omap_mcbsp_start and omap_mcbsp_stop was changed recently allowing
to start and stop individually the transmitter and receiver.

This cleans up the code in arch/arm/plat-omap/mcbsp.c and in
sound/soc/omap/omap-mcbsp.c which was the only user for those removed
functions.

Use more descriptive than numerical value when showing and storing the
McBSP DMA operating mode. Show function is using similar syntax than e.g.
the led triggers so that all possible values for store function are
printed but with current value surrounded with square brackets.

14412acde5 ASoC: S3C24XX: Add audio core and tlv320aic23 for Simtec boards
Add core support for the range of S3C24XX Simtec boards with TLV320AIC23

98cb20e889 OMAP: McBSP: Add link DMA mode selection
It adds a new sysfs file, where the user can configure the mcbsp mode to use.
If the mcbsp channel is in use, it does not allow the change.
Than in omap_pcm_open we can call the omap_mcbsp_get_opmode to get the mode,
store it, than use it to implement the different modes.

7e4f943b72 OMAP3: McBSP: Lower the maximum buffersize for McBSP1, 3, 4, 5
Do not allow applications to use the full buffer found on
McBSP1,3,4,5. Using the full buffer in threshold mode causes
the McBSP buffer to run dry, which can be observed as channels
are switching (in reality the channels are shifting).

Increasing startup delay value as worst case:
 CLKSRG*2 = 8000khz: (1/8000) * 2 * 2 usec

Although, 100us may give enough time for two CLKSRG,
due to some unknown PM related, clock gating etc. reason,
this patch increases it to 500us.

9abea08e43 OMAP: McBSP: Provide functions for ASoC frame syncronization
ASoC has an annoying bug letting either L or R channel to be
played on L channel. In other words, L and R channels can
switch at random. This provides McBSP funtionality that may
be used to fix this feature.

5b9eda3313 iop3xx: ATU and PCI memory configuration corrected
There are two 64 MB outbound memory windows at bus addresses
0x80000000..0x83ffffff and 0x84000000..0x87ffffff for PCI
memory. Currently, on iop32x, only the lower window is available for
allocations, limiting the available space to 64 MB. On iop33x the full
128 MB can be allocated, but the translation value is wrong for the
upper window.

The patch enables the full 128 MB space on iop32x and corrects the
initialization of OMWTVR1. Redundant definitions are deleted. Tested
using a Thecus N2100 board with a graphics adapter in the expansion
slot. Both windows are in use:

9e2a7e6f5f iop33x: update defconfig (default atu to on)
By default the iop3xx configurations are set to boot the platforms over
an nfs root configuration.  Since commit c34002c1 "iop: unconditionally
initialize the ATU on platforms known to be 'hosts'" this configuration
also requires iop3xx_init_atu=y to be specified on the kernel command
line.

baa28e3530 ARM: Show FIQ in /proc/interrupts on CONFIG_FIQ
The show_fiq_list() call in arch/arm/kernel/irq.c currently depends on
CONFIG_ARCH_ACORN, but this is not the only architecture that supports
the usage of FIQ. Change to calling this if CONFIG_FIQ is set (which
is what arch/arm/kernel/fiq.c is built by).

db616eb676 ARM: S3C: Add S3C_DEV_NAND Kconfig entry
Currently the S5PC100 does not define S3C_PA_NAND, leaving the NAND device
definitions in arch/arm/plat-s3c/dev-nand.c unbuildable. Add a KConfig
entry to select whether this is built.

As backwards compatibility, both the S3C24XX and S3C64XX define the new
configuration in their main Kconfig files until better support for basing
this selection on a per-machine basis can be sorted out.

5a7652f203 ARM: S5PC100: Kconfigs and Makefiles
S5PC100 is a new SoC with ARM coretex-A8 and numerous peripherals. This SoC is
successor of S3C64XX. S5PC100 has peripherals which are still similar to S3C
families so some drivers in "arch/arm/plat-s3c" can be shared. S5PC100 specific

369842658a ARM: 5677/1: ARM support for TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK/pselect6/ppoll/epoll_pwait
This patch adds support for TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK to ARM's
signal handling, which allows to hook up the pselect6, ppoll,
and epoll_pwait syscalls on ARM.

Tested here with eabi userspace and a test program with a
deliberate race between a child's exit and the parent's
sigprocmask/select sequence. Using sys_pselect6() instead
of sigprocmask/select reliably prevents the race.

The other arch's support for TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK has evolved
over time:

In 2.6.16:
- add TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK which parallels TIF_SIGPENDING
- test both when checking for pending signal [changed later]
- reimplement sys_sigsuspend() to use current->saved_sigmask,
  TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK [changed later], and -ERESTARTNOHAND;
  ditto for sys_rt_sigsuspend(), but drop private code and
  use common code via __ARCH_WANT_SYS_RT_SIGSUSPEND;
- there are now no "extra" calls to do_signal() so its oldset
  parameter is always &current->blocked so need not be passed,
  also its return value is changed to void
- change handle_signal() to return 0/-errno
- change do_signal() to honor TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK:
  + get oldset from current->saved_sigmask if TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK
    is set
  + if handle_signal() was successful then clear TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK
  + if no signal was delivered and TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK is set then
    clear it and restore the sigmask
- hook up sys_pselect6() and sys_ppoll()

In 2.6.19:
- hook up sys_epoll_pwait()

In 2.6.26:
- allow archs to override how TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK is implemented;
  default set_restore_sigmask() sets both TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK and
  TIF_SIGPENDING; archs need now just test TIF_SIGPENDING again
  when checking for pending signal work; some archs now implement
  TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK as a secondary/non-atomic thread flag bit
- call set_restore_sigmask() in sys_sigsuspend() instead of setting
  TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK

In 2.6.29-rc:
- kill sys_pselect7() which no arch wanted

So for 2.6.31-rc6/ARM this patch does the following:
- Add TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK. Use the generic set_restore_sigmask()
  which sets both TIF_SIGPENDING and TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK, so
  TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK need not claim one of the scarce low thread
  flags, and existing TIF_SIGPENDING and _TIF_WORK_MASK tests need
  not be extended for TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK.
- sys_sigsuspend() is reimplemented to use current->saved_sigmask
  and set_restore_sigmask(), making it identical to most other archs
- The private code for sys_rt_sigsuspend() is removed, instead
  generic code supplies it via __ARCH_WANT_SYS_RT_SIGSUSPEND.
- sys_sigsuspend() and sys_rt_sigsuspend() no longer need a pt_regs
  parameter, so their assembly code wrappers are removed.
- handle_signal() is changed to return 0 on success or -errno.
- The oldset parameter to do_signal() is now redundant and removed,
  and the return value is now also redundant and changed to void.
- do_signal() is changed to honor TIF_RESTORE_SIGMASK:

dde5828f56 ARM: Fix broken highmem support
Currently, highmem is selectable, and you can request an increased
vmalloc area.  However, none of this has any effect on the memory
layout since a patch in the highmem series was accidentally dropped.
Moreover, even if you did want highmem, all memory would still be
registered as lowmem, possibly resulting in overflow of the available
virtual mapping space.

The highmem boundary is determined by the highest allowed beginning
of the vmalloc area, which depends on its configurable minimum size
(see commit 60296c71f6 for details on
this).

We should create mappings and initialize bootmem only for low memory,
while the zone allocator must still be told about highmem.

Currently, memory nodes which are completely located in high memory
are not supported.  This is not a huge limitation since systems
relying on highmem support are unlikely to have discontiguous memory
with large holes.

[ A similar patch was meant to be merged before commit 5f0fbf9eca
  and be available  in Linux v2.6.30, however some git rebase screw-up
  of mine dropped the first commit of the series, and that goofage
  escaped testing somehow as well. -- Nico ]

0a54419836 timekeeping: Move NTP adjusted clock multiplier to struct timekeeper
The clocksource structure has two multipliers, the unmodified multiplier
clock->mult_orig and the NTP corrected multiplier clock->mult. The NTP
multiplier is misplaced in the struct clocksource, this is private
information of the timekeeping code. Add the mult field to the struct
timekeeper to contain the NTP corrected value, keep the unmodifed
multiplier in clock->mult and remove clock->mult_orig.

Small confusion with our hardware engineer, the WP signal (RO) is
active low on our boards, the signal has to inverted.

This is a pretty straightforward patch, it could even go to -rc,
but if not, then push it for 2.6.32.

d45a398fca Use kernel/Kconfig.preempt for ARM
before this patch ARM had it's own definition of CONFIG_PREEMPT.
Instead of that use the general definition provided in
kernel/Kconfig.preempt.

This patch changes the available options in *config.  Namely PREEMPT
isn't a stand alone bool anymore, but part of a 'choice' the
following Kconfig symbols are added:

	PREEMPT_NONE
	PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY

Selecting PREEMPT_NONE now produces exactly the code as not selecting
PREEMPT before (apart from a comment in
/sys/kernel/debug/tracing/(per_cpu/cpuX/)?trace).  The only difference
PREEMPT_VOLUNTARY does is that might_resched might reschedule.  Both
should't introduce regressions.

b88fb83b13 netx: Use get_irqnr_preamble to initialize base register
This patch optimizes the irq handling a bit.  Now the base register is
only computed once per irq exception instead of at least twice.
Moreover the mov+add sequence is simplified to an ldr (which might save
some cycles depending on memory timing).

dee2b904a1 IXP4xx: Fix IO_SPACE_LIMIT for 2.6.31-rc core PCI changes
2.6.31-rc kernels don't boot on my ixp4xx box (ds101), because the libata
driver doesn't find the PCI IDE controller any more. 2.6.30 was fine.
I traced this to a PCI update (1f82de10d6)
in 2.6.30-git19. Diffing the kernel boot logs from 2.6.30-git18 and
2.6.30-git19 illustrates the breakage:

Every arch except arm's ixp4xx defines IO_SPACE_LIMIT as an all-bits-one
bitmask, typically -1UL but sometimes only a 16-bit 0x0000ffff. But ixp4xx
defines it as 0xffff0000, which is now causing the PCI failures.

Russell King noted that ixp4xx has 64KB PCI IO space, so IO_SPACE_LIMIT
should be 0x0000ffff. This patch makes that change, which fixes the PCI
failures on my ixp4xx box.

7153c360eb ¶ARM] Orion5x: fix cpu window mapping for 88f6183
On the 88f6183, orion5x's setup_cpu_win() fails to ever program any
mbus bridge remap registers, which causes transactions for PCI/PCIe
IO/MEM space to get sent to random mbus targets.  Adding a check for
the 6183 in orion5x_cpu_win_can_remap() is necessary and sufficient
to make PCIe wlan cards work on the 6183 reference design.

There's no need to keep these defines limited in the ifdef block
for mach-omap2. It will just cause problems testing for the CPU
revision in the common code, like the next patch does for the DMA
errata.

c12abc012e ARM: OMAP: McBSP: Fix ASoC on OMAP1510 by fixing API of omap_mcbsp_start/stop
Simultaneous audio playback and capture on OMAP1510 can cause that second
stream is stalled if there is enough delay between startup of the audio
streams.

Current implementation of the omap_mcbsp_start is starting both transmitter
and receiver at the same time and it is called only for firstly started
audio stream from the OMAP McBSP based ASoC DAI driver.

Since DMA request lines on OMAP1510 are edge sensitive, the DMA request is
missed if there is no DMA transfer set up at that time when the first word
after McBSP startup is transmitted. The problem hasn't noted before since
later OMAPs are using level sensitive DMA request lines.

Fix the problem by changing API of omap_mcbsp_start and omap_mcbsp_stop by
allowing to start and stop individually McBSP transmitter and receiver
logics. Then call those functions individually for both audio playback
and capture streams. This ensures that DMA transfer is setup before
transmitter or receiver is started.

0d6038ee76 net: implement a SO_DOMAIN getsockoption
This sockopt goes in line with SO_TYPE and SO_PROTOCOL. It makes it
possible for userspace programs to pass around file descriptors — I
am referring to arguments-to-functions, but it may even work for the
fd passing over UNIX sockets — without needing to also pass the
auxiliary information (PF_INET6/IPPROTO_TCP).

49c794e946 net: implement a SO_PROTOCOL getsockoption
Similar to SO_TYPE returning the socket type, SO_PROTOCOL allows to
retrieve the protocol used with a given socket.

I am not quite sure why we have that-many copies of socket.h, and why
the values are not the same on all arches either, but for where hex
numbers dominate, I use 0x1029 for SO_PROTOCOL as that seems to be
the next free unused number across a bunch of operating systems, or
so Google results make me want to believe. SO_PROTOCOL for others
just uses the next free Linux number, 38.

55b6019ae2 OMAP: GPIO: clear/restore level/edge detect settings on mask/unmask
If IRQ triggering is enabled, it can trigger a pending interrupt
even for masked interrupts.  Any pending GPIO interrupts can

fd455ea899 OMAP2/3/4: UART: Allow per-UART disabling wakeup for serial ports
This patch causes the OMAP uarts to honor the sysfs power/wakeup file
for IOPAD wakeups. Before the OMAP was always woken up from off mode
on a rs232 signal change.  This patch also creates a different
platform device for each serial port so that the wakeup properties can
be control per port.

By default, IOPAD wakeups are enabled for each UART.  To disable,

  # echo disabled > /sys/devices/platform/serial8250.0/power/wakeup

Where serial8250.0 can be replaced by .1, or .2 to control the other
ports.

2466211e5d OMAP3: Fixed crash bug with serial + suspend
It was possible for an unhandled interrupt to occur if there was incoming
serial traffic during wakeup from suspend. This was caused by the code
in arch-arm/mach-omap2/serial.c keeping interrupt enabled all the time,
but not acking its interrupts. Applies on top of PM branch.

Use the PM begin/end hooks to ensure that the "serial idle" interrupts
are disabled during the suspend path.  Also, since begin/end hooks are
now used, use the suspend_state that is passed in the begin hook instead
of the enter hook as per the platform_suspend_ops docs.

The pwm hardware only checks the compare register after a decrement,
so the pin never toggles if tcmp = tcnt.

This happens when a very low duty cycle is requested. Fix it by always
ensuring that tcmp < tcnt.

The EP93xx features two PWMs (one on the EP9307) with the following
features:

  * Configurable dual output
  * Separate input clocks for each PWM output
  * 16-bit resolution
  * Programmable pulse width (duty cycle), interval (frequency), and
    polarity

This adds the necessary core support as well as the driver.  A sysfs
interface is provided to control the PWM outputs.

0c997c0eaa S3C24XX: GPIO: Fix pin range check in s3c_gpiolib_getchip
In the s3c_gpiolib_getchip implementation for s3c24xx the check whether a pin is
in the gpio banks range is reversed. Thus the function returns NULL for valid
pins and the gpio chip if its not valid.

As a result gpio states are not saved/restored properly during suspend/resume.

Upcoming paches to support the new 64-bit "BookE" powerpc architecture
will need to have the virtual address corresponding to PTE page when
freeing it, due to the way the HW table walker works.

Basically, the TLB can be loaded with "large" pages that cover the whole
virtual space (well, sort-of, half of it actually) represented by a PTE
page, and which contain an "indirect" bit indicating that this TLB entry
RPN points to an array of PTEs from which the TLB can then create direct
entries. Thus, in order to invalidate those when PTE pages are deleted,
we need the virtual address to pass to tlbilx or tlbivax instructions.

The old trick of sticking it somewhere in the PTE page struct page sucks
too much, the address is almost readily available in all call sites and
almost everybody implemets these as macros, so we may as well add the
argument everywhere. I added it to the pmd and pud variants for consistency.

3c82e229f0 OMAP3 clock: correct module IDLEST bits: SSI; DSS; USBHOST; HSOTGUSB
Fix two bugs in the OMAP3 clock tree pertaining to the SSI, DSS,
USBHOST, and HSOTGUSB devices.  These devices are both interconnect
initiators and targets.  Without this patch, clk_enable()s on clocks for
these modules can be very high latency (potentially up to ~200
milliseconds) and message such as the following are generated:

    Clock usbhost_48m_fck didn't enable in 100000 tries

Two bugs are fixed by this patch.  First, OMAP hardware only supports
target CM_IDLEST register bits on ES2+ chips and beyond.  ES1 chips
should not wait for these clocks to enable.  So, split the appropriate
clocks into ES1 and ES2+ variants, so that kernels running on ES1
devices won't try to wait.

Second, the current heuristic in omap2_clk_dflt_find_idlest() will
fail for these clocks.  It assumes that the CM_IDLEST bit to wait upon
is the same as the CM_*CLKEN bit, which is false[1].  Fix by
implementing custom clkops .find_idlest function pointers for the
appropriate clocks that return the correct slave IDLEST bit shift.

This was originally fixed in the linux-omap kernel during 2.6.29 in a
slightly different manner[2][3].

In the medium-term future, all of the module IDLEST code will
eventually be moved to the omap_hwmod code.

72350b29a4 OMAP2/3 clock: split, rename omap2_wait_clock_ready()
Some OMAP2/3 hardware modules have CM_IDLEST attributes that are not
handled by the current omap2_wait_clock_ready() code.  In preparation
for patches that fix the unusual devices, rename the function
omap2_wait_clock_ready() to omap2_wait_module_ready() and split it
into three parts:

1. A clkops-specific companion clock return function (by default,
   omap2_clk_dflt_find_companion())

2. A clkops-specific CM_IDLEST register address and bit shift return
   function (by default, omap2_clk_dflt_find_idlest())

3. Code to wait for the CM to indicate that the module is ready
   (omap2_cm_wait_idlest())

Clocks can now specify their own custom find_companion() and find_idlest()
functions; used in subsequent patches.

8ff120e530 OMAP3 SDRC: Fix freeze when scaling CORE dpll to < 83Mhz
This patch fixes a bug in the CORE dpll scaling sequence which was
errouneously clearing some bits in the SDRC DLLA CTRL register and
hence causing a freeze.  The issue was observed only on platforms
which scale CORE dpll to < 83Mhz and hence program the DLL in fixed
delay mode.

9fb97412c3 OMAP3: Setup MUX settings for SDRC CKE signals
This patches ensures the MUX settings are correct for the SDRC
CKE signals to SDRAM. This allows the self-refresh to work when
2 chip-selects are in use.

A warning is thrown away in case the initial muxing is incorrect,
in order to track faulty or old-dated bootloaders.
Note: The CONFIG_OMAP_MUX and CONFIG_OMAP_MUX_WARNINGS options
must be enabled for the mux code to have effect.

58cda884ec OMAP3 SDRC: add support for 2 SDRAM chip selects
Some OMAP3 boards (Beagle Cx, Overo, RX51, Pandora) have 2
SDRAM parts connected to the SDRC.

This patch adds the following:
- add a new argument of type omap_sdrc_params struct*
to omap2_init_common_hw and omap2_sdrc_init for the 2nd CS params
- adapted the OMAP boards files to the new prototype of
omap2_init_common_hw
- add the SDRC 2nd CS registers offsets defines
- adapt the sram sleep code to configure the SDRC for the 2nd CS

Note: If the 2nd param to omap2_init_common_hw is NULL, then the
parameters are not programmed into the SDRC CS1 registers

Tested on 3430 SDP and Beagleboard rev C2 and B5, with
suspend/resume and frequency changes (cpufreq).

adca6dc23b Thumb-2: Add support for loadable modules
Modules compiled to Thumb-2 have two additional relocations needing to
be resolved at load time, R_ARM_THM_CALL and R_ARM_THM_JUMP24, for BL
and B.W instructions. The maximum Thumb-2 addressing range is +/-2^24
(+/-16MB) therefore the MODULES_VADDR macro in asm/memory.h is set to
(MODULES_END - 8MB) for the Thumb-2 compiled kernel.

Update the NOR flash support for TS-7200.

The TS-7200 models all have 16-bit NOR flash.  Update the platform
init to support this.

Remove the private TS72XX_NOR_* defines and use the common ep93xx
defines for the external chip select physical base address instead.

Move the NOR flash registration into a static __init function.  When
the NAND flash support is updated this function will also be used
to register the NAND flash for the TS-7250 and TS-7260.

808347f6a3 dmaengine: at_hdmac: add DMA slave transfers
This patch for at_hdmac adds the slave transfers capability to the Atmel DMA
controller available on some AT91 SOCs. This allow peripheral to memory and
memory to peripheral transfers with hardware handshaking.

Slave structure for controller specific information is passed through channel
private data. This at_dma_slave structure is defined in at_hdmac.h header file
and relative hardware definition are moved to this file from at_hdmac_regs.h.
Doing this we allow the channel configuration from platform definition code.

This work is intensively based on dw_dmac and several slave implementations.

dc78baa2b9 dmaengine: at_hdmac: new driver for the Atmel AHB DMA Controller
This AHB DMA Controller (aka HDMA or DMAC on AT91 systems) is availlable on
at91sam9rl chip. It will be used on other products in the future.

This first release covers only the memory-to-memory tranfer type. This is the
only tranfer type supported by this chip.  On other products, it will be used
also for peripheral DMA transfer (slave API support to come).

I used dmatest client without problem in different configurations to test it.

d7aacaddca Driver Core: Add platform device arch data V3
Allow architecture specific data in struct platform_device V3.

With this patch struct pdev_archdata is added to struct
platform_device, similar to struct dev_archdata in found in
struct device. Useful for architecture code that needs to
keep extra data associated with each platform device.

Struct pdev_archdata is different from dev.platform_data, the
convention is that dev.platform_data points to driver-specific
data. It may or may not be required by the driver. The format
of this depends on driver but is the same across architectures.

The structure pdev_archdata is a place for architecture specific
data. This data is handled by architecture specific code (for
example runtime PM), and since it is architecture specific it
should _never_ be touched by device driver code. Exactly like
struct dev_archdata but for platform devices.

[rjw: This change is for power management mostly and that's why it
 goes through the suspend tree.]

As __builtin_return_address(n) doesn't work for ARM with n > 0, the
kernel needs its own implementation.

This fixes many warnings saying:

	warning: unsupported argument to '__builtin_return_address'

The new methods and walk_stackframe must not be instrumented because
CALLER_ADDRESSx is used in the various tracers and tracing the tracer is
a bad idea.

What's currently missing is an implementation using unwind tables.  This
is not fatal though, it's just that the tracers don't get enough
information to be really useful.

Note that if both ARM_UNWIND and FRAME_POINTER are enabled,
walk_stackframe uses unwind information.  So in this case the same
implementation is used as when FRAME_POINTER is disabled.

3aa7a9a3cf [ARM] 5612/1: ep93xx: add platform LEDs
The EP93xx has two gpio pins specifically assigned to drive
external LEDs.  Add core support for these LEDs.

On the EDB93xx development boards, the rdled is connected to
an external reset circuit.  Turning this led on for an extended
amount of time will cause the circuit to issue a manual reset.

This led can be safely used as the system heartbeat with the
ledtrig-heartbeat driver.

	echo heartbeat > /sys/class/leds/platform:rdled/trigger

memcpy_fromio() needs to be used instead of memcpy().

For future compatibility, we need to ensure that swap and file Linux
PTEs conform with the hardware PTEs "fault" encoding.  Swap PTEs
already fit in with this, but file PTEs do not.  Shift them by one

swap and file PTEs.

Pull the initial preempt_count value into a single
definition site.

Maintainers for: alpha, ia64 and m68k, please have a look,
your arch code is funny.

The header magic is a bit odd, but similar to the KERNEL_DS
one, CPP waits with expanding these macros until the
INIT_THREAD_INFO macro itself is expanded, which is in
arch/*/kernel/init_task.c where we've already included
sched.h so we're good.

Add clkdev support for the ep93xx_keypad driver.

A matrix keypad driver for the ep93xx just got merged via the
input subsystem group.  For this driver to work the keypad clock
needs to be added to the ep93xx clkdev support.  In order to
accomplish this the following changes are implemented:

  1) Move the EP93XX_EXT_*_RATE defines to mach/include/hardware.h.
  2) Add EP93XX_KEYTCHCLK_DIV{4/16} for the keypad driver.
  3) Add support for programmable clocks (set_rate() callback).
  4) Add clk_keypad for the keypad driver.
  5) tab indent the clk_lookup table for easier reading.
  6) Add the set_rate() callback to program the keypad clock.
     This callback is generalized since the ADC clock (touchscreen)
     can use the same callback.
  7) Use the ep93xx_syscon_swlocked_write() core function for updating
     the software locked register.

02239f0a42 [ARM] 5577/2: ep93xx: syscon locked register functions
Add core functions to handle writes to the ep93xx software locked
registers.

There are a number of registers in the EP93xx System Controller
that require a write to the software lock register before they
can be updated. This patch adds a number of exported functions
to the ep93xx core that handle this access.

The software locked clock divider registers, VidClkDiv, MIRClkDiv,
I2SClkDiv and KeyTchClkDiv would typically involve writing a
specific value to the register. To support this the
ep93xx_syscon_swlocked_write() function is provided.

For the DeviceCfg register it's more typical to only need to
set or clear a single bit. A generic ep93xx_devcfg_set_clear()
function is provided to handle both operations. Two inline
functions, ep93xx_devcfg_set_bits() and ep93xx_devcfg_clear_bits()
are also provided to improve code readability.

In addition, the remaining bits in the System Controller Device
Config Register have been documented and the previously defined
names shortened.

All code paths that use this functionality have been updated
except for arch/arm/kernel/crunch.c. That code is in a context
switch path, which is not reentrant, so it is safe against itself.

8c81b52422 [ARM] 5583/1: VIC: acknowledge software interrupts
The PrimeCell Vectored Interrupt Controller offers a way to trigger
any interrupt through software. This is a useful tool for developing,
but such software interrupt can only be acked by writing a bit in the
"software clear" register, or the handler will loop forever.  This
splits ack from mask, and acks the soft irq in case it was the source.

mimic the traditional at91 way of managing chips & boards.

AT91SAM9M10G45-EK (I choose this last name for the board file).

Simple drivers are enabled in _devices and board- files. Newer peripheral
support will be added in future patches.

Update the link script for ARM to use PAGE_SIZE instead of hard-
coded 4096. Also the old RODATA macro is deprecated
for the RO_DATA(PAGE_SIZE) macro. As a consequence the PAGE_SIZE
was changed from (1UL << PAGE_SHIFT) to (_AC(1,UL) << PAGE_SHIFT)
because the linker does not understand the "UL" suffix to numeric
constants.

7aa5514e71 [ARM] 5560/1: Avoid buffer overrun in case of an invalid IRQ
handle_bad_irq() expects the IRQ number to be valid (used for statistics),
so it cannot be called with an illegal vector. The problem was reported
by a static analysis tool.

The change makes bad_irq_desc redundant, so delete it.

405d967dc7 linker script: throw away .discard section
x86 throws away .discard section but no other archs do.  Also,
.discard is not thrown away while linking modules.  Make every arch
and module linking throw it away.  This will be used to define dummy
variables for percpu declarations and definitions.

This patch is based on Ivan Kokshaysky's alpha percpu patch.

Commit 52da219e96 added IIS
platform devices, but these do not build on s3c24xx systems
and the file depends on SND_S3C24XX_SOC, which is selected

As a quick fix, make the dev-audio.o file depends on
SND_S3C64XX_SOC_I2S instead.

574ec547c7 ARM: add support for the EET board, based on the i.MX31 pcm037 module
The "EET" variant of the pcm037 board has an OLED display, using a S6E63D6
display controller on the first SPI interface, using GPIO57 as a chip-select
for it. S6E63D6 is initialised in the boot-loader, so we only have to take care
of the LCD. EET also adds several buttons and LEDs on GPIOs. This patch adds a

Change the makefile to use CONFIG_S3C24XX_PWM to compile this driver
to ensure it is only build when needed.

8e25ad964a OMAP2/3: Add omap_type() for determining GP/EMU/HS
The omap_type() function is added and returns the DEVICETYPE field of
the CONTROL_STATUS register.  The result can be used for conditional
code based on whether device is GP (general purpose), EMU or
HS (high security). Also move the type defines so omap1 code
compile does not require ifdefs for sections using these defines.

This code is needed for the following fix to set the SRAM
size correctly for HS omaps.  Also at least PM and watchdog
code will need this function.

e4d24ec39c OMAP1: Fix N770 MMC support
Some of the N770's MMC configuration options seem to have been
dropped. This patch adds them back in again.

Note that only the .ocr_mask change was /critical/, but I've added the
.max_freq setting back as well, as the original sources had it. Can
anyone confirm if this is unnecessary?

Secondly, there is support in the original code for a 4wire/higher
speed mode. As I don't have the requisite N770 hardware (I think it
was a rev2 N770?) to test this, I can't really add it back.

9ccdac3662 [ARM] idle: clean up pm_idle calling, obey hlt_counter
pm_idle is used by infrastructure (eg, cpuidle) which expects architectures
to call it in a certain way.  Arrange for ARM to follow x86's lead on this
and call pm_idle() with interrupts already disabled.  However, we expect
pm_idle() to enable interrupts before it returns.

Also, OMAP wants to be able to disable hlt-ing, so allow hlt_counter to
prevent all calls to pm_idle.

d06063cc22 Move FAULT_FLAG_xyz into handle_mm_fault() callers
This allows the callers to now pass down the full set of FAULT_FLAG_xyz
flags to handle_mm_fault().  All callers have been (mechanically)
converted to the new calling convention, there's almost certainly room
for architectures to clean up their code and then add FAULT_FLAG_RETRY
when that support is added.

7b7bcefa35 OMAP3 SDRC: set FIXEDDELAY when disabling SDRC DLL
Correspondence with the TI OMAP hardware team indicates that
SDRC_DLLA_CTRL.FIXEDDELAY should be initialized to 0x0f.  This number
was apparently derived from process validation.  This is only used
when the SDRC DLL is unlocked (e.g., SDRC clock frequency less than
83MHz).

d0ba3922ae OMAP3 clock/SDRC: program SDRC_MR register during SDRC clock change
Program the SDRC_MR_0 register as well during SDRC clock changes.
This register allows selection of the memory CAS latency.  Some SDRAM
chips, such as the Qimonda HYB18M512160AF6, have a lower CAS latency
at lower clock rates.
