d286a43aa2 ARM: mx3: make ioremap quirk ready for multi-SoC kernels
To be able to compile e.g. i.MX31 and i.MX51 in a single kernel image
the ioremap quirk needs a runtime check.

While touching this code make the comment more understandable by adding
a sentence from the commit log that introduced it
(eadefef ([ARM] MX3: Use ioremap wrapper to map SoC devices nonshared)).

As mach/io.h now uses cpu_is_ some header reshuffling in mach/hardware.h
was necessary. (mach/mx27.h and mach/mx31.h #include <linux/io.h> which
#includes <mach/io.h>. So mach/mxc.h which provides the cpu_is_ macros
needs to be included before mach/mx27.h and mach/mx31.h.)

91350f6677 ARM: mxc: don't use the symbols in the CPU family choice to select others
The symbols in this choice should only be used to select between the
available machines that can be built into a single kernel. As these sets
(will) differ e.g. depending on ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT and AUTO_ZRELADDR
letting them select other symbols makes the logic more complex and needs
to duplicate some things. So let the machines select the corresponding
symbols (indirectly via SOC_XYZ).

18879e13b1 ARM: imx51: use platform id 2 for imx51-cspi
The platform id is used to determine the spi bus number, so it should
better be different to the ids used for imx51-ecspi. Otherwise it's not
possible to use both devices "imx51-cspi.0" and "imx51-ecspi.0".

Alternative approaches are to use dynamic bus numbering as offered by
the spi framework or let the machine code set the bus number. The
downside of both possibilities is that the bus number isn't fixed for
the same busses on different machines using i.MX51.

afa77ef30e ARM: mx3: dynamically allocate "ipu-core" devices
... together with the related devices "mx3_camera" and "mx3_sdc_fb".

"mx3_camera" doesn't fit the scheme of the other devices that just are
allocated and registered in a single function because it needs additional
care to get some dmaable memory. So currently imx31_alloc_mx3_camera
duplicates most of imx_add_platform_device_dmamask, but I'm not sure it's
worth to split the latter to be able to reuse more code.

This gets rid of mach-mx3/devices.[ch] and so several files need to be
adapted not to #include devices.h anymore.

8ea0de4b88 ARM: zImage: remove the static qualifier from global data variables
To be able to relocate the .bss section at run time independently from
the rest of the code, we must make sure that no GOTOFF relocations are
used with .bss symbols. This usually means that no global variables can
be marked static unless they're also const.

Let's remove the static qualifier from current offenders, or turn them
into const variables when possible. Next commit will ensure the build
fails if one of those is reintroduced due to otherwise enforced coding
standards for the kernel.

b5eee2fdef ARM: mxc: Add missing lockdep annotation
The irq_set_wake() function of the gpio irq_chip calls
enable/disable_irq_wake() on the demultiplex interrupt. That leads to
a lockdep warning "INFO: possible recursive locking detected" because
irq_set_type() is called under irq_desc->lock and the *_irq_wake()
calls take irq_desc->lock of the demux interrupt.

Tell lockdep that the gpio irqs are in a different lock class.

Documentation/SubmitChecklist:
 15: All codepaths have been exercised with all lockdep features enabled.

That's a non-optional requirement, AFAICT.

0575b4b83e ARM: mxc: Correct data alignment in headsmp.S for CONFIG_THUMB2_KERNEL
Directives such as .long and .word do not magically cause the
assembler location counter to become aligned in gas. As a
result, using these directives in code sections can result in
misaligned data words when building a Thumb-2 kernel
(CONFIG_THUMB2_KERNEL).

This is a Bad Thing, since the ABI permits the compiler to
assume that fundamental types of word size or above are word-
aligned when accessing them from C. If the data is not really
word-aligned, this can cause impaired performance and stray
alignment faults in some circumstances.

In general, the following rules should be applied when using
data word declaration directives inside code sections:

    * .quad and .double:
         .align 3

    * .long, .word, .single, .float:
         .align (or .align 2)

    * .short:
        No explicit alignment required, since Thumb-2
        instructions are always 2 or 4 bytes in size.
        immediately after an instruction.

96f3e25684 MXC IOMUX-V3 replace struct pad_desc with bitmapped cookie (step 2)
This patch actually replaces the 'struct pad_desc' with a u64 cookie
to facilitate adding platform specific pad_ctrl settings to an
existing pad definition.

So, instead of:
	iomux_v3_cfg_t power_key = MX51_PAD_EIM_A27__GPIO_2_21;
	power_key.pad_ctrl = MX51_GPIO_PAD_CTRL_2;
	mxc_iomux_v3_setup_pad(&power_key);
one can write:
	mxc_iomux_v3_setup_pad((MX51_PAD_EIM_A27__GPIO_2_21 & ~MUX_PAD_CTRL_MASK) | MX51_GPIO_PAD_CTRL_2);

96886c4361 iMX51: introduce IMX_GPIO_NR
Currently, to define a GPIO number, we're using something like :

#define EFIKAMX_PCBID0         (2*32 + 16)

to define GPIO 3 16.

This is not really readable and it's error prone imho (note the 3 vs 2).
So, I'm introducing a new macro to define this in a better way. Now, the
code sample become :

#define EFIKAMX_PCBID0         IMX_GPIO_NR(3, 16)

v2:
- move to gpio.h
- add parens & spaces
- switch to IMX_GPIO_NR instead of MX51_GPIO_NR

fc40d01919 ARM: imx: change the way flexcan devices are registered
Group soc specific data in a global struct instead of repeating it for each

approach this reduces code size to call imx_add_flexcan.

This will also allow us to retreive the address of a uart for the MMU

6038f373a3 llseek: automatically add .llseek fop
All file_operations should get a .llseek operation so we can make
nonseekable_open the default for future file operations without a
.llseek pointer.

The three cases that we can automatically detect are no_llseek, seq_lseek
and default_llseek. For cases where we can we can automatically prove that
the file offset is always ignored, we use noop_llseek, which maintains
the current behavior of not returning an error from a seek.

New drivers should normally not use noop_llseek but instead use no_llseek
and call nonseekable_open at open time. Existing drivers can be converted
to do the same when the maintainer knows for certain that no user code
relies on calling seek on the device file.

The generated code is often incorrectly indented and right now contains
comments that clarify for each added line why a specific variant was
chosen. In the version that gets submitted upstream, the comments will
be gone and I will manually fix the indentation, because there does not
seem to be a way to do that using coccinelle.

Some amount of new code is currently sitting in linux-next that should get
the same modifications, which I will do at the end of the merge window.

Many thanks to Julia Lawall for helping me learn to write a semantic
patch that does all this.

===== begin semantic patch =====
// This adds an llseek= method to all file operations,
// as a preparation for making no_llseek the default.
//
// The rules are
// - use no_llseek explicitly if we do nonseekable_open
// - use seq_lseek for sequential files
// - use default_llseek if we know we access f_pos
// - use noop_llseek if we know we don't access f_pos,
// but we still want to allow users to call lseek

1ec1e82f25 dmaengine: Add Freescale i.MX SDMA support
This patch adds support for the Freescale i.MX SDMA engine.

The SDMA engine is a scatter/gather DMA engine which is implemented
as a seperate coprocessor. SDMA needs its own firmware which is
requested using the standard request_firmware mechanism. The firmware
has different entry points for each peripheral type, so drivers
have to pass the peripheral type to the DMA engine which in turn
picks the correct firmware entry point from a table contained in
the firmware image itself.
The original Freescale code also supports support for transfering
data to the internal SRAM which needs different entry points to
the firmware. Support for this is currently not implemented. Also,
support for the ASRC (asymmetric sample rate converter) is skipped.

I took a very simple approach to implement dmaengine support. Only
a single descriptor is statically assigned to a each channel. This
means that transfers can't be queued up but only a single transfer
is in progress. This simplifies implementation a lot and is sufficient
for the usual device/memory transfers.

35bab0589b ARM: imx: change the way spi-imx devices are registered
Group soc specific data in a global struct instead of repeating it for
each call to imxXX_add_spi_imxX. The structs holding the actual data
are placed in .init.constdata and so don't do much harm. Compared to
the previous approach this reduces code size to call imx_add_spi_imx.

14f0f512ba ARM: imx: set cache line size to 64 bytes for i.MX5
The core of i.MX5 series is cortex-A8, its cache line size is 64 bytes
instead of 32 bytes. Refer to the OMAP3's selection, we choose 64
bytes for i.MX5, this can increase a little bit performance when
perform cache operations.

2066930de6 mx2_camera: Add soc_camera support for i.MX25/i.MX27
This is the soc_camera support developed by Sascha Hauer for the i.MX27. Alan

61c6850232 imx: dynamically register flexcan devices for mx25 and mx35
In order to make this patch compile, even if the flexcan driver with
it's header defining the platform data isn't merged yet, two ifdefs have
been added. They effect that the "imx_add_flexcan" function results in a
no-op function if the driver hasn't been activated.

These ifdefs can be removed after the flexcan driver has been merged.
