If an ADC channel measures the midpoint of a voltage divider, the interesting voltage is often the voltage over the full resistance. E.g. if the full voltage is too big for the ADC to handle. Likewise, if an ADC channel measures the voltage across a shunt resistor, with or without amplification, the interesting value is often the current through the resistor. This driver solves these problems by allowing to linearly scale a channel and/or by allowing changes to the type of the channel. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file.
