Currently, Most of the steering tree is statically declared ahead of time, with steering prios instances allocated for each fdb chain to assign max number of levels for each of them. This allows fs_core to manage the connections and levels of the flow tables hierarcy to prevent loops, but restricts us with the number of supported chains and priorities. Introduce unmananged flow tables, allowing the user to manage the flow table connections. A unamanged table is detached from the fs_core flow table hierarcy, and is only connected back to the hierarchy by explicit FTEs forward actions. This will be used together with firmware that supports ignoring the flow table levels to increase the number of supported chains and prios. Linux kernel
============
There are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can
be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. Please read
Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst first.
In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or
``make pdfdocs``. The formatted documentation can also be read online at:
https://www.kernel.org/doc/html/latest/
There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory,
several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation.
Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the
requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about
the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
