Lipeng says: ==================== net: hns3: add support for reset There are 4 reset types for HNS3 PF driver, include global reset, core reset, IMP reset, PF reset. The core reset will reset all datapath of all functions except IMP, MAC and PCI interface. Global reset is equal with the core reset plus all MAC reset. IMP reset is caused by watchdog timer expiration, the same range with core reset. PF reset will reset whole physical function. This patchset adds reset support for hns3 driver and fix some related bugs. --- Change log: V1 -> V2: 1, fix some comments from Yunsheng Lin. ==================== Signed-off-by: David S. Linux kernel ============ This file was moved to Documentation/admin-guide/README.rst Please notice that there are several guides for kernel developers and users. These guides can be rendered in a number of formats, like HTML and PDF. In order to build the documentation, use ``make htmldocs`` or ``make pdfdocs``. There are various text files in the Documentation/ subdirectory, several of them using the Restructured Text markup notation. See Documentation/00-INDEX for a list of what is contained in each file. Please read the Documentation/process/changes.rst file, as it contains the requirements for building and running the kernel, and information about the problems which may result by upgrading your kernel.
