ab28f51c77 serial: rewrite pxa2xx-uart to use 8250_core
pxa2xx-uart was a separate uart platform driver. It was declaring
the same device names and numbers as 8250 driver. As a result,
it was impossible to use 8250 driver on PXA SoCs.

Upon closer examination pxa2xx-uart turned out to be a clone of
8250_core driver.

Workaround for Erratum #19 according to Marvel(R) PXA270M Processor
Specification Update (April 19, 2010) is dropped. 8250_core reads
from FIFO immediately after checking DR bit in LSR.

The patch leaves the original SERIAL_PXA driver around. The original
driver is just marked DEPRECATED in Kconfig and C source. When
the original driver is considered safe to remove, no changes
to SERIAL_8250 will be necessary.

Compiling SERIAL_8250_CONSOLE and SERIAL_PXA_CONSOLE even without
SERIAL_8250_PXA breaks console for SERIAL_PXA. For this reasons, the new
and the original drivers are made mutually exclusive.

30530791a7 serial: mvebu-uart: initial support for Armada-3700 serial port
Armada-3700's uart is a simple serial port, which doesn't
support. Configuring the modem control lines. The uart port has a 32
bytes Tx FIFO and a 64 bytes Rx FIFO

The uart driver implements the uart core operations. It also support the
system (early) console based on Armada-3700's serial port.

Known Issue:

The uart driver currently doesn't support clock programming, which means
the baud-rate stays with the default value configured by the bootloader
at boot time

913c6c0e94 serial: imx: add earlycon support
Earlycon allows to have an early debugging console that doesn't need
to be statically configured in the kernel config, like earlyprintk,
but is set up through the stdout-path DT property.

This allows to have the early debugging always built into the
kernel and enabled on demand without clashing between different boards
or architectures.

357d561519 serial: samsung: only use earlycon for console
A configuration that enables earlycon but not the core console
code causes a link error:

  drivers/built-in.o: In function `setup_earlycon':
  drivers/tty/serial/earlycon.c:70: undefined reference to `uart_parse_earlycon'

That error can be triggered by the newly added samsung earlycon support,
which is missing a 'select' statement.

As suggested by Peter Hurley, solves the problem by moving the
'select SERIAL_EARLYCON' statement to the samsung console driver
option, as it is done by all other console drivers.
