Tegra132 and Tegra210 PMC blocks have clk_out_1, clk_out_2, clk_out_3,
and a blink clock as a part of the PMC.
These clocks were erroneously provided by the clock and reset controller
and are now provided by the PMC instead because that's where the primary
controls are.
Clock IDs for these clocks are defined in the PMC dt-bindings.
This patch updates the device tree to include the PMC dt-bindings header
and adds the #clock-cells property with one clock specifier to the PMC

If the kernel configuration option CONFIG_PCIE_DW_PLAT_HOST is enabled
then this can cause the kernel to incorrectly probe the generic
designware PCIe platform driver instead of the Tegra194 designware PCIe
driver. This causes a boot failure on Tegra194 because the necessary
configuration to access the hardware is not performed.
The order in which the compatible strings are populated in Device-Tree
is not relevant in this case, because the kernel will attempt to probe
the device as soon as a driver is loaded and if the generic designware
PCIe driver is loaded first, then this driver will be probed first.
Therefore, to fix this problem, remove the "snps,dw-pcie" string from
the compatible string as we never want this driver to be probe on
Tegra194.

Currently, the EL0 SP alignment handler masks IRQs unnecessarily. It
does so due to historic code sharing of the EL0 SP and PC alignment
handlers, and branch predictor hardening applicable to the EL0 SP
handler.
We began masking IRQs in the EL0 SP alignment handler in commit:
5dfc6ed277 ("arm64: entry: Apply BP hardening for high-priority synchronous exception")
... as this shared code with the EL0 PC alignment handler, and branch
predictor hardening made it necessary to disable IRQs for early parts of
the EL0 PC alignment handler. It was not necessary to mask IRQs during
EL0 SP alignment exceptions, but it was not considered harmful to do so.
This masking was carried forward into C code in commit:
582f95835a ("arm64: entry: convert el0_sync to C")
... where the SP/PC cases were split into separate handlers, and the
masking duplicated.
Subsequently the EL0 PC alignment handler was refactored to perform
branch predictor hardening before unmasking IRQs, in commit:
bfe298745a ("arm64: entry-common: don't touch daif before bp-hardening")
... but the redundant masking of IRQs was not removed from the EL0 SP
alignment handler.
Let's do so now, and make it interruptible as with most other
synchronous exception handlers.

then SNVS doesn't work, and as such the pwrkey driver doesn't
work (i.e. hangs the kernel, as the clock isn't enabled).

Since commit b9213899d2b0 ("arm64: dts: ls1028a: disable all enetc ports

Add the switch device node, available on PF5, so that the switch port
sub-nodes (net devices) can be linked to corresponding board specific
phy nodes (external ports) or have their link mode defined (internal
ports).
The switch device features 6 ports, 4 with external links and 2
internally facing to the LS1028A SoC and connected via fixed links to 2
internal ENETC Ethernet controller ports.
Add the corresponding ENETC host port device nodes, mapped to PF2 and
PF6 PCIe functions. Since the switch only supports tagging on one CPU
port, only one port pair (swp4, eno2) is enabled by default and the
other, lower speed, port pair is disabled to prevent the PCI core from
probing them. If enabled, swp5 will be a fixed-link slave port.
DSA tagging can also be moved from the swp4-eno2 2.5G port pair to the
1G swp5-eno3 pair by changing the ethernet = <&enetc_port2> phandle to
<&enetc_port3> and moving it under port5, but in that case enetc_port2
should not be disabled, because it is the hardware owner of the Felix
PCS and disabling its memory would result in access faults in the Felix
DSA driver.
All ports are disabled by default, including the CPU port, and need to
be enabled on a per-board basis.
The phy-mode binding of the internal ENETC ports was modified from
"gmii" to "internal" to match the phy-mode of the internal-facing switch
ports connected to them. The ENETC driver does not perform any phy_mode
validation anyway, so the change is only cosmetic. Also, enetc_port2 is
defined as a fixed-link 1000 Mbps port even though it is 2500 Mbps (as
can be seen by the fact that it is connected to mscc_felix_port4). The
fact that it is currently defined as 1000 Mbps is an artifact of its
PHYLIB implementation instead of PHYLINK (the former can't describe a
fixed-link speed higher than what swphy can emulate from the Clause 22
MDIO spec).
The switch's INTB interrupt line signals:
- PTP TX timestamp availability
- TSN Frame Preemption
And don't forget to enable the 4MB BAR4 in the root complex ECAM space,
where the switch registers are mapped.

This specifier overrides the interrupt specifier with 3 cells from gic

controller, so the property is bogus.
Interrupts used by the children of the ENETC RCIE must use the full
3-cell specifier required by the GIC.
The issue has no functional consequence so there is no real reason to
port the patch to stable trees.

The Frequency Invariance Engine (FIE) is providing a frequency
scaling correction factor that helps achieve more accurate
load-tracking.
So far, for arm and arm64 platforms, this scale factor has been
obtained based on the ratio between the current frequency and the
maximum supported frequency recorded by the cpufreq policy. The
setting of this scale factor is triggered from cpufreq drivers by
calling arch_set_freq_scale. The current frequency used in computation
is the frequency requested by a governor, but it may not be the
frequency that was implemented by the platform.
This correction factor can also be obtained using a core counter and a
constant counter to get information on the performance (frequency based
only) obtained in a period of time. This will more accurately reflect
the actual current frequency of the CPU, compared with the alternative
implementation that reflects the request of a performance level from
the OS.
Therefore, implement arch_scale_freq_tick to use activity monitors, if
present, for the computation of the frequency scale factor.
The use of AMU counters depends on:
- CONFIG_ARM64_AMU_EXTN - depents on the AMU extension being present
- CONFIG_CPU_FREQ - the current frequency obtained using counter
information is divided by the maximum frequency obtained from the
cpufreq policy.
While it is possible to have a combination of CPUs in the system with
and without support for activity monitors, the use of counters for
frequency invariance is only enabled for a CPU if all related CPUs
(CPUs in the same frequency domain) support and have enabled the core
and constant activity monitor counters. In this way, there is a clear
separation between the policies for which arch_set_freq_scale (cpufreq
based FIE) is used, and the policies for which arch_scale_freq_tick
(counter based FIE) is used to set the frequency scale factor. For
this purpose, a late_initcall_sync is registered to trigger validation
work for policies that will enable or disable the use of AMU counters
for frequency invariance. If CONFIG_CPU_FREQ is not defined, the use
of counters is enabled on all CPUs only if all possible CPUs correctly

Access to the AMU counters should be disabled by default in kvm guests,
as information from the counters might reveal activity in other guests
or activity on the host.
Therefore, disable access to AMU registers from EL0 and EL1 in kvm
guests by:
- Hiding the presence of the extension in the feature register
(SYS_ID_AA64PFR0_EL1) on the VCPU.
- Disabling access to the AMU registers before switching to the guest.
- Trapping accesses and injecting an undefined instruction into the

The activity monitors extension is an optional extension introduced
by the ARMv8.4 CPU architecture. In order to access the activity
monitors counters safely, if desired, the kernel should detect the
presence of the extension through the feature register, and mediate
the access.
Therefore, disable direct accesses to activity monitors counters
from EL0 (userspace) and trap them to EL1 (kernel).
To be noted that the ARM64_AMU_EXTN kernel config does not have an
effect on this code. Given that the amuserenr_el0 resets to an
UNKNOWN value, setting the trap of EL0 accesses to EL1 is always
attempted for safety and security considerations. Therefore firmware
should still ensure accesses to AMU registers are not trapped in
EL2/EL3 as this code cannot be bypassed if the CPU implements the
Activity Monitors Unit.

The (CFS) scheduler has some extra logic catering to systems with SMT, but
that logic won't be compiled in unless the above config is set.
Note that the SMT-centric codepaths are gated by the sched_smt_present
static key, and the SMT sched_domains will only survive if the platform has
SMT. As such, the only impact on !SMT platforms should be a slightly
bigger kernel - no behavioural change.
Distro kernels already enable it, which makes sense since there already are
things like ThunderX2 out in the wild. Enable it for the defconfig.

The arch code for hot-remove must tear down portions of the linear map and
vmemmap corresponding to memory being removed. In both cases the page
tables mapping these regions must be freed, and when sparse vmemmap is in
use the memory backing the vmemmap must also be freed.
This patch adds unmap_hotplug_range() and free_empty_tables() helpers which
can be used to tear down either region and calls it from vmemmap_free() and
___remove_pgd_mapping(). The free_mapped argument determines whether the
backing memory will be freed.
It makes two distinct passes over the kernel page table. In the first pass
with unmap_hotplug_range() it unmaps, invalidates applicable TLB cache and
frees backing memory if required (vmemmap) for each mapped leaf entry. In
the second pass with free_empty_tables() it looks for empty page table
sections whose page table page can be unmapped, TLB invalidated and freed.
While freeing intermediate level page table pages bail out if any of its
entries are still valid. This can happen for partially filled kernel page
table either from a previously attempted failed memory hot add or while
removing an address range which does not span the entire page table page
range.
The vmemmap region may share levels of table with the vmalloc region.
There can be conflicts between hot remove freeing page table pages with
a concurrent vmalloc() walking the kernel page table. This conflict can
not just be solved by taking the init_mm ptl because of existing locking
scheme in vmalloc(). So free_empty_tables() implements a floor and ceiling
method which is borrowed from user page table tear with free_pgd_range()
which skips freeing page table pages if intermediate address range is not
aligned or maximum floor-ceiling might not own the entire page table page.
Boot memory on arm64 cannot be removed. Hence this registers a new memory
hotplug notifier which prevents boot memory offlining and it's removal.
While here update arch_add_memory() to handle __add_pages() failures by
just unmapping recently added kernel linear mapping. Now enable memory hot
remove on arm64 platforms by default with ARCH_ENABLE_MEMORY_HOTREMOVE.
This implementation is overall inspired from kernel page table tear down
procedure on X86 architecture and user page table tear down method.

The arm64 page table dump code can race with concurrent modification of the
kernel page tables. When a leaf entries are modified concurrently, the dump
code may log stale or inconsistent information for a VA range, but this is
otherwise not harmful.
When intermediate levels of table are freed, the dump code will continue to
use memory which has been freed and potentially reallocated for another
purpose. In such cases, the dump code may dereference bogus addresses,
leading to a number of potential problems.
Intermediate levels of table may by freed during memory hot-remove,
which will be enabled by a subsequent patch. To avoid racing with
this, take the memory hotplug lock when walking the kernel page table.

Some rockchip SoCs like the RK3399 and RK3328 exhibit an issue
where tx checksumming does not work with packets larger than 1498.
The default Programmable Buffer Length for TX in these GMAC's is
not suitable for MTUs higher than 1498. The workaround is to disable
TX offloading with 'ethtool -K eth0 tx off rx off' causing performance
impacts as it disables hardware checksumming.
This patch sets snps, txpbl to 0x4 which is a safe number tested ok for
the most popular MTU value of 1500.

The pumpkin board is made by Gossamer Engineering and is using
a MediaTek SoC. The board currently comes in two available version:
MT8516 SoC and MT8167 SoC.
The board provides the following IOs: eMMC, NAND, SD card, USB type-A,
Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Audio (jack out, 2 PDM port, 1 analog in),
serial over USB, and an expansion header.
Additionally there is a HDMI port, DSI port, and camera port only
on the MT8167 version of the board.
The board can be powered by battery and/or via a USB Type-C port and
is using a PMIC MT6392.
The eMMC and NAND are sharing pins and cannot be used together.
This commit is adding the basic boot support for the Pumpkin MT8516
board on the eMMC.

Commit 9f9223778 ("efi/libstub/arm: Make efi_entry() an ordinary PE/COFF
entrypoint") modified the handover code written in assembler, and for
maintainability, aligned the logic with the logic used in the 32-bit ARM
version, which is to avoid cache maintenance on the remaining instructions
in the subroutine that will be executed with the MMU and caches off, and
instead, branch into the relocated copy of the kernel image.
However, this assumes that this copy is executable, and this means we
expect EFI_LOADER_DATA regions to be executable as well, which is not
a reasonable assumption to make, even if this is true for most UEFI
implementations today.
So change this back, and add a __clean_dcache_area_poc() call to cover
the remaining code in the subroutine. While at it, switch the other
call site over to __clean_dcache_area_poc() as well, and clean up the
terminology in comments to avoid using 'flush' in the context of cache
maintenance. Also, let's switch to the new style asm annotations.

Currently arm64 doesn't initialize the primary CRNG in a (potentially)
trusted manner as we only detect the presence of the RNG once secondary
CPUs are up.
Now that the core RNG code distinguishes the early initialization of the
primary CRNG, we can implement arch_get_random_seed_long_early() to
support this.
This patch does so.

There's no reason that cpu_do_switch_mm() needs to be written as an
assembly function, and having it as a C function would make it easier to
maintain.
This patch converts cpu_do_switch_mm() to C, removing code that this
change makes redundant (e.g. the mmid macro). Since the header comment
was stale and the prototype now implies all the necessary information,
this comment is removed. The 'pgd_phys' argument is made a phys_addr_t
to match the return type of virt_to_phys().
At the same time, post_ttbr_update_workaround() is updated to use
IS_ENABLED(), which allows the compiler to figure out it can elide calls
for !CONFIG_CAVIUM_ERRATUM_27456 builds.
There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.

At the moment PinePhone comes in two slightly incompatible variants:
- 1.0: Early Developer Batch
- 1.1: Braveheart Batch
There will be at least one more incompatible variant in the very near
future, so let's start by sharing the dtsi among multiple variants,
right away, even though the HW description doesn't yet include the
different bits.
The differences between 1.0 and 1.1 are: change in pins that control
the flash LED, differences in modem power status signal routing, and
maybe some other subtler things, that have not been determined yet.
This is a basic DT that includes only features that are already
supported by mainline drivers.

This time, the set of changes for the EFI subsystem is much larger than
usual. The main reasons are:
- Get things cleaned up before EFI support for RISC-V arrives, which will
increase the size of the validation matrix, and therefore the threshold to
making drastic changes,
- After years of defunct maintainership, the GRUB project has finally started
to consider changes from the distros regarding UEFI boot, some of which are
highly specific to the way x86 does UEFI secure boot and measured boot,
based on knowledge of both shim internals and the layout of bootparams and
the x86 setup header. Having this maintenance burden on other architectures
(which don't need shim in the first place) is hard to justify, so instead,
we are introducing a generic Linux/UEFI boot protocol.
Summary of changes:
- Boot time GDT handling changes (Arvind)
- Simplify handling of EFI properties table on arm64
- Generic EFI stub cleanups, to improve command line handling, file I/O,
memory allocation, etc.
- Introduce a generic initrd loading method based on calling back into
the firmware, instead of relying on the x86 EFI handover protocol or
device tree.
- Introduce a mixed mode boot method that does not rely on the x86 EFI
handover protocol either, and could potentially be adopted by other
architectures (if another one ever surfaces where one execution mode
is a superset of another)
- Clean up the contents of struct efi, and move out everything that
doesn't need to be stored there.
- Incorporate support for UEFI spec v2.8A changes that permit firmware
implementations to return EFI_UNSUPPORTED from UEFI runtime services at
OS runtime, and expose a mask of which ones are supported or unsupported
via a configuration table.
- Various documentation updates and minor code cleanups (Heinrich)
- Partial fix for the lack of by-VA cache maintenance in the decompressor
on 32-bit ARM. Note that these patches were deliberately put at the
beginning so they can be used as a stable branch that will be shared with
a PR containing the complete fix, which I will send to the ARM tree.

Now that we have added new ways to load the initrd or the mixed mode
kernel, we will also need a way to tell the loader about this. Add
symbolic constants for the PE/COFF major/minor version numbers (which
fortunately have always been 0x0 for all architectures), so that we
can bump them later to document the capabilities of the stub.

We currently parse the command non-destructively, to avoid having to
allocate memory for a copy before passing it to the standard parsing
routines that are used by the core kernel, and which modify the input
to delineate the parsed tokens with NUL characters.
Instead, we call strstr() and strncmp() to go over the input multiple
times, and match prefixes rather than tokens, which implies that we
would match, e.g., 'nokaslrfoo' in the stub and disable KASLR, while
the kernel would disregard the option and run with KASLR enabled.
In order to avoid having to reason about whether and how this behavior
may be abused, let's clean up the parsing routines, and rebuild them
on top of the existing helpers.

Instead of setting the visibility pragma for a small set of symbol
declarations that could result in absolute references that we cannot
support in the stub, declare hidden visibility for all code in the

To ensure that the #pragma is taken into account before any other
includes are processed, put it in a header file of its own and
include it via the compiler command line using the -include option.

Expose efi_entry() as the PE/COFF entrypoint directly, instead of
jumping into a wrapper that fiddles with stack buffers and other
stuff that the compiler is much better at. The only reason this
code exists is to obtain a pointer to the base of the image, but

we already need for other reasons anyway.

KVM uses some of the static-inline helpers like icache_is_vipt() from
its HYP code. This assumes the function is inlined so that the code is
mapped to EL2. The compiler may decide not to inline these, and the
out-of-line version may not be in the __hyp_text section.
Add the additional __always_ hint to these static-inlines that are used
by KVM.

KVM uses swab32() when mediating GIC MMIO accesses if the GICV is badly
aligned, and the host and guest differ in endianness.
arm64 doesn't provide a __arch_swab32(), so __fswab32() is always backed
by the macro implementation that the compiler reduces to a single
instruction. But the static-inline causes problems for KVM if the compiler
chooses not to inline this function, it may not be located in the
__hyp_text where __vgic_v2_perform_cpuif_access() needs it.
Create our own __kvm_swab32() macro that calls ___constant_swab32()
directly. This way we know it will always be inlined.

On non VHE CPUs, KVM's __hyp_text contains code run at EL2 while the rest
of the kernel runs at EL1. This code lives in its own section with start
and end markers so we can map it to EL2.
The compiler may decide not to inline static-inline functions from the
header file. It may also decide not to put these out-of-line functions
in the same section, meaning they aren't mapped when called at EL2.
Clang-9 does exactly this with __kern_hyp_va() and a few others when
x18 is reserved for the shadow call stack. Add the additional __always_
hint to all the static-inlines that are called from a hyp file.

Pull arm64 fixes from Will Deacon:
"It's all straightforward apart from the changes to mmap()/mremap() in
relation to their handling of address arguments from userspace with
non-zero tag bits in the upper byte.
The change to brk() is necessary to fix a nasty user-visible
regression in malloc(), but we tightened up mmap() and mremap() at the
same time because they also allow the user to create virtual aliases
by accident. It's much less likely than brk() to matter in practice,
but enforcing the principle of "don't permit the creation of mappings
using tagged addresses" leads to a straightforward ABI without having
to worry about the "but what if a crazy program did foo?" aspect of
things.
Summary:
- Fix regression in malloc() caused by ignored address tags in brk()
- Add missing brackets around argument to untagged_addr() macro
- Fix clang build when using binutils assembler

Fix the issue by replacing ".arch armv8-a+lse" with ".arch_extension lse".

'.arch_extension' directive, so this change will be fine even for LTO

With VHE, running a vCPU always requires the sequence:
1. kvm_arm_vhe_guest_enter();
2. kvm_vcpu_run_vhe();
3. kvm_arm_vhe_guest_exit()
... and as we invoke this from the shared arm/arm64 KVM code, 32-bit arm
has to provide stubs for all three functions.
To simplify the common code, and make it easier to make further
modifications to the arm64-specific portions in the near future, let's
fold kvm_arm_vhe_guest_enter() and kvm_arm_vhe_guest_exit() into
kvm_vcpu_run_vhe().
The 32-bit stubs for kvm_arm_vhe_guest_enter() and
kvm_arm_vhe_guest_exit() are removed, as they are no longer used. The
32-bit stub for kvm_vcpu_run_vhe() is left as-is.
There should be no functional change as a result of this patch.
