e067776094 V4L/DVB (8689): dpc7146: remove dpc7146 demonstration board driver
Old driver for the dpc7146 demonstration board that is no longer
relevant. The last time this was tested on actual hardware was
probably around 2002. Since this is a driver for a demonstration
board the decision was made (after discussing this with the original
author, Michael Hunold) to remove it rather than spending a
lot of effort continually updating this driver to stay in sync
with the latest internal V4L2 or I2C API.

f46466e7d6 V4L/DVB (8726): link tuner before saa7134
If saa7134_init is run before v4l2_i2c_drv_init (tuner), then
saa7134_board_init2 will try to set the tuner type for devices that don't
exist yet. This moves tuner to before all of the device-specific drivers
so that it's loaded early enough on boot.

27a5e6d3fc V4L/DVB (8427): videodev: split off the ioctl handling into v4l2-ioctl.c
videodev.c became top-heavy so all the ioctl processing has been split off
into v4l2-ioctl.c. This means videodev.c is back to its original purpose:
creating and registering v4l devices.

Since videodev.c and v4l2-ioctl.c should still remain one module (as least
for now) I also had to rename videodev.c to v4l2-dev.c to prevent a
circular dependency when building a videodev.ko module. This is not a bad
thing, since the source and header now have the same name. And the v4l2-
prefix is useful to see which sources are generic v4l2 support code.

0d3244d643 V4L/DVB (8342): sh_mobile_ceu_camera: Add SuperH Mobile CEU driver V3
This is V3 of the SuperH Mobile CEU soc_camera driver.

The CEU hardware block is configured in a transparent data fetch
mode, frames are captured from the attached camera and written to
physically contiguous memory buffers provided by the newly added
videobuf-dma-contig queue. Tested on sh7722 and sh7723 processors.

 Changes since V2:
 - remove SUPERH Kconfig dependency
 - move sh_mobile_ceu.h to include/media
 - add board callback support with enable_camera()/disable_camera()
 - add support for declare_coherent_memory
 - rework video memory limit
 - more verbose error messages

2cc45cf25a V4L/DVB (8341): videobuf: Add physically contiguous queue code V3
This is V3 of the physically contiguous videobuf queues patch.
Useful for hardware such as the SuperH Mobile CEU which doesn't
support scatter gatter bus mastering.

Since it may be difficult to allocate large chunks of physically
contiguous memory after some uptime due to fragmentation, this code
allocates memory using dma_alloc_coherent(). Architectures supporting
dma_declare_coherent_memory() can easily avoid fragmentation issues
by using dma_declare_coherent_memory() to force dma_alloc_coherent()
to allocate from a certain pre-allocated memory area.

 Changes since V2
  - use dma_handle for physical address
  - use "scatter gather" instead of "scatter gatter"

 Changes since V1:
  - use dev_err() instead of pr_err()
  - remember size in struct videobuf_dma_contig_memory
  - keep struct videobuf_dma_contig_memory in .c file
  - let videobuf_to_dma_contig() return dma_addr_t
  - implement __videobuf_sync()
  - return statements, white space and other minor fixes

e55222ef27 V4L/DVB (7170): soc_camera V4L2 driver for directly-connected SoC-based cameras
This driver provides an interface between platform-specific camera

tuner-types is needed for tuner-simple, and does not need to be bound

...
ifneq ($(CONFIG_TUNER_TEA5761),)
  tuner-objs += tea5761.o
endif
...
With this setup, TUNER_TEA5761=m is equivalent to TUNER_TEA5761=y.
This patch therefore changes TUNER_TEA5761 to a bool.
The missing dependency on EXPERIMENTAL the prompt text indicates also
gets added by this patch.
Additionally, the Makefile entry can now be written in a more compact way.

ea6337417d V4L/DVB (5791): Fix Kbuild for kbd-ir-i2c
Potentially, all board types with I2C and IR support can use an i2c
based IR. Currently, the driver is selected only if bt848 or saa7134
boards are selected.

1a0adaf37c V4L/DVB (5345): ivtv driver for Conexant cx23416/cx23415 MPEG encoder/decoder
It took three core maintainers, over four years of work, eight new i2c
modules, eleven new V4L2 ioctls, three new DVB video ioctls, a Sliced
VBI API, a new MPEG encoder API, an enhanced DVB video MPEG decoding
API, major YUV/OSD contributions from Ian and John, web/wiki/svn/trac
support from Axel Thimm, (hardware) support from Hauppauge, support and
assistance from the v4l-dvb people and the many, many users of ivtv to
finally make it possible to merge this driver into the kernel.
Thank you all!

05ad390724 V4L/DVB (5166): Remove obsolete alias defines of CONFIG_* settings
The out of tree v4l-dvb build system didn't always override the kernel's
configuration settings with v4l-dvb's settings correctly. To work around
this, makefiles would define some new macro based on the setting of a
config variable. e.g. the pwc Makefile would define CONFIG_PWC_DEBUG if
CONFIG_USB_PWC_DEBUG (which is defined via Kconfig) was set.
The v4l-dvb build system should now always override correctly, and this
is no longer necessary. This patch gets ride of these extra defines and
just uses the CONFIG_* settings directly.

af249982dc V4L/DVB (4887): Remove the broken VIDEO_ZR36120 driver
The VIDEO_ZR36120 driver has:
- already been marked as BROKEN in 2.6.0 three years ago and
- is still marked as BROKEN.
Drivers that had been marked as BROKEN for such a long time seem to be
unlikely to be revived in the forseeable future.
But if anyone wants to ever revive this driver, the code is still
present in the older kernel releases.
