9eb0e5f9b2 ARM: dts: imx: remove ssi fsl, mode for audio cards
The DAI mode is and should be configured by the sound card driver as
codec and ssi have to be in the right modes to communicate with each
other. It is possible to operate the ssi unit or the codec in master mode,
sometimes even on the same board in different configurations.

With the latest changes in the fsl-ssi driver, the 'fsl, mode' property
is only handled as a fallback property. If the sound card sets the DAI
mode correctly, this fallback configuration is dropped.

755a9ba7bf ARM: SoC devicetree updates for 3.16
As with previous release, this continues to be among the largest branches
we merge, with lots of new contents.

New things for this release are among other things:

 - DTSI contents for the new SoCs supported in 3.16 (see SoC pull request)
 - Qualcomm APQ8064 and APQ8084 SoCs and eval boards
 - Nvidia Jetson TK1 development board (Tegra T124-based)

Two new SoCs that didn't need enough new platform code to stand out
enough for me to notice when writing the SoC tag, but that adds new DT
 contents are:

 - TI DRA72
 - Marvell Berlin 2Q

a3fe964135 imx-drm: imx-tve: correct DDC property name to 'ddc-i2c-bus'
Commit 62e3879 (imx-drm: imx-tve: Fix DDC I2C bus property) was trying
to use 'ddc-i2c-bus' as the DDC property name (we can see that from the
commit log), but unfortunately 'i2c-ddc-bus' which is a typo was
actually used in the code. This results in some unnecessary
inconsistency and confusions, because all the documented DDC property
in device tree bindings use 'ddc-i2c-bus'.

f83ccb9358 ARM: SoC: device tree changes
A large part of the arm-soc patches are nowadays DT changes, adding support
for new SoCs, boards and devices without changing kernel source. The plan
is still to move the devicetree files out of the kernel tree and reduce
the amount of churn going on here, but we keep finding reasons to delay
 doing that.

Changes are really all over the place, with little sticking out particularly.
We have contributions from a total of 116 people in this branch.

Unfortunately, the size of this branch also causes a significant number
of conflicts at the moment, typically when subsystem maintainers merge
patches that change the driver at the same time as the dts files. In
most cases this could be avoided because the dts changes are supposed
to be compatible in both ways, and we are asking everyone to send ARM
dts changes through our tree only.

e05c8c9a79 ARM: dts: imx53: Add IPU DI ports and endpoints, move imx-drm node to dtsi
This patch connects IPU and display encoder (VGA, LVDS)
device tree nodes, as well as parallel displays on the DISP0
and DISP1 outputs, using the OF graph bindings described in
Documentation/devicetree/bindings/media/video-interfaces.txt

The IPU ports correspond to the two display interfaces. The
order of endpoints in the ports is arbitrary.

Since the imx-drm node now only needs to contain links to the
display interfaces, it can be moved to the SoC dtsi level. At
the board level, only connections between the display interface
ports and encoders or panels have to be added.

According to Documentation/devicetree/bindings/regulator/gpio-regulator.txt:

7ac0f700a6 ARM: dts: imx53: make pinctrl nodes board specific
Currently, all pinctrl setting nodes are defined in <soc>.dtsi, so that
boards that share the same pinctrl setting do not have to define it time
and time again in <board>.dts. However, along with the devices and use
cases being added continuously, the pinctrl setting nodes under iomuxc
becomes more than expected. This bloats device tree blob for particular
board unnecessarily since only a small subset of those pinctrl setting
nodes will be used by the board. It impacts not only the DTB file size
but also the run-time device tree lookup efficiency.

The patch moves all the pinctrl data into individual boards as needed.
With the changes, the pinctrl setting nodes becomes local to particular
board, and it makes no sense to continue numbering the setting for
given peripheral. Thus, all the pinctrl phandler name gets updated to
have only peripheral name in there.

e16415313c pinctrl: imx: move hard-coding data into device tree
Currently, all imx pinctrl drivers maintain a big array of struct
imx_pin_reg which hard-codes data like register offset and mux mode
setting for each pin function. Every time a new imx SoC support is
added, we need to add such a big mount of data. With moving to single
kernel build, it's only matter of time to be blamed on memory consuming.

With DTC pre-processor support in place, the patch moves all these data
into device tree by redefining the PIN_FUNC_ID in imxXX-pinfunc.h and
changing the PIN_FUNC_ID parsing code a little bit.

The pin id gets re-numbered based on mux register offset, or config
register offset if the pin has no mux register, so that kernel can
identify the pin id from register offsets provided by device tree.

As a bonus point of the change, those arbitrary magic numbers standing
for particular PIN_FUNC_ID in device tree sources are now replaced by
macros to improve the readability of dts files.
