Pull x86 asm updates from Ingo Molnar:
"Most of the changes relate to Peter Zijlstra's cleanup of ptregs
handling, in particular the i386 part is now much simplified and
standardized - no more partial ptregs stack frames via the esp/ss
oddity. This simplifies ftrace, kprobes, the unwinder, ptrace, kdump
and kgdb.
There's also a CR4 hardening enhancements by Kees Cook, to make the
generic platform functions such as native_write_cr4() less useful as
ROP gadgets that disable SMEP/SMAP. Also protect the WP bit of CR0
against similar attacks.

The ORC unwinder can't unwind through BPF JIT generated code because
there are no ORC entries associated with the code.
If an ORC entry isn't available, try to fall back to frame pointers. If
BPF and other generated code always do frame pointer setup (even with
CONFIG_FRAME_POINTERS=n) then this will allow ORC to unwind through most
generated code despite there being no corresponding ORC entries.

Currently pt_regs on x86_32 has an oddity in that kernel regs
(!user_mode(regs)) are short two entries (esp/ss). This means that any
code trying to use them (typically: regs->sp) needs to jump through
some unfortunate hoops.
Change the entry code to fix this up and create a full pt_regs frame.
This then simplifies various trampolines in ftrace and kprobes, the
stack unwinder, ptrace, kdump and kgdb.

- Have no license information of any form
- Have EXPORT_.*_SYMBOL_GPL inside which was used in the
initial scan/conversion to ignore the file

When the ORC unwinder is invoked for an oops caused by IP==0,
it currently has no idea what to do because there is no debug information
for the stack frame of NULL.
But if RIP is NULL, it is very likely that the last successfully executed
instruction was an indirect CALL/JMP, and it is possible to unwind out in
the same way as for the first instruction of a normal function. Hardcode
a corresponding ORC entry.
With an artificially-added NULL call in prctl_set_seccomp(), before this
patch, the trace is:

The existing UNWIND_HINT_EMPTY annotations happen to be good indicators
of where entry code calls into C code for the first time. So also use
them to mark the end of the stack for the ORC unwinder.
Use that information to set unwind->error if the ORC unwinder doesn't
unwind all the way to the end. This will be needed for enabling
HAVE_RELIABLE_STACKTRACE for the ORC unwinder so we can use it with the
livepatch consistency model.

Convert init_kernel_text() to a global function and use it in a few
places instead of manually comparing _sinittext and _einittext.
Note that kallsyms.h has a very similar function called
is_kernel_inittext(), but its end check is inclusive. I'm not sure
whether that's intentional behavior, so I didn't touch it.

The function tracer can create a dynamically allocated trampoline that is
called by the function mcount or fentry hook that is used to call the
function callback that is registered. The problem is that the orc undwinder
will bail if it encounters one of these trampolines. This breaks the stack
trace of function callbacks, which include the stack tracer and setting the
stack trace for individual functions.
Since these dynamic trampolines are basically copies of the static ftrace
trampolines defined in ftrace_*.S, we do not need to create new orc entries
for the dynamic trampolines. Finding the return address on the stack will be
identical as the functions that were copied to create the dynamic
trampolines. When encountering a ftrace dynamic trampoline, we can just use
the orc entry of the ftrace static function that was copied for that
trampoline.

There are at least two unwinder bugs hindering the debugging of
stack-overflow crashes:
- It doesn't deal gracefully with the case where the stack overflows and
the stack pointer itself isn't on a valid stack but the
to-be-dereferenced data *is*.
- The ORC oops dump code doesn't know how to print partial pt_regs, for the
case where if we get an interrupt/exception in *early* entry code
before the full pt_regs have been saved.
Fix both issues.

If the stack overflows into a guard page and the ORC unwinder should work
well: by construction, there can't be any meaningful data in the guard page
because no writes to the guard page will have succeeded.
But there is a bug that prevents unwinding from working correctly: if the
starting register state has RSP pointing into a stack guard page, the ORC
unwinder bails out immediately.
Instead of bailing out immediately check whether the next page up is a
valid check page and if so analyze that. As a result the ORC unwinder will
start the unwind.
Tested by intentionally overflowing the task stack. The result is an
accurate call trace instead of a trace consisting purely of '?' entries.
There are a few other bugs that are triggered if the unwinder encounters a
stack overflow after the first step, but they are outside the scope of this
fix.

The ORC unwinder got confused by some kprobes changes, which isn't
surprising since the runtime code no longer matches vmlinux and the
stack was modified for kretprobes.
Until we have a way for generated code to register changes with the
unwinder, these types of warnings are inevitable. So just disable KASAN
checks for stack accesses in the ORC unwinder.

Add the new ORC unwinder which is enabled by CONFIG_ORC_UNWINDER=y.
It plugs into the existing x86 unwinder framework.
It relies on objtool to generate the needed .orc_unwind and
.orc_unwind_ip sections.
For more details on why ORC is used instead of DWARF, see
Documentation/x86/orc-unwinder.txt - but the short version is
that it's a simplified, fundamentally more robust debugninfo
data structure, which also allows up to two orders of magnitude
faster lookups than the DWARF unwinder - which matters to
profiling workloads like perf.
Thanks to Andy Lutomirski for the performance improvement ideas:
splitting the ORC unwind table into two parallel arrays and creating a
fast lookup table to search a subset of the unwind table.
