20d5ba4928 Bulk pin control changes for the v4.10 kernel cycle:
No core changes this time. Mainly gradual improvement and
 feature growth in the drivers.

 New drivers:

 - New driver for TI DA850/OMAP-L138/AM18XX pinconf

 - The SX150x was moved over from the GPIO subsystem and
   reimagined as a pin control driver with GPIO support
   in a joint effort by three independent users of this
   hardware. The result was amazingly good!

 - New subdriver for the Oxnas OX820

 Improvements:

 - The sunxi driver now supports the generic pin control
   bindings rather than the sunxi-specific. Add debouncing
   support to the driver.

 - Simplifications in pinctrl-single adding a generic parser.

 - Two downstream fixes and move the Raspberry Pi BCM2835 over
   to use the generic GPIOLIB_IRQCHIP.

9999fe5df5 pinctrl: imx: reset group index on probe
Group index is incremented on every new group parsed. Since the
field is part of struct imx_pinctrl_soc_info, which is typically
a global variable passed by the individual pinctrl-imx.c based
driver, it does not get cleared automatically when re-probing the
driver. This lead imx_pinctrl_parse_functions passing a group
pointer which is outside of the allocated group space on second
probe and onwards. Typically this ended up in a NULL pointer
dereference when accessing the name field like this:
Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000000
...
PC is at strcmp+0x18/0x44
LR is at imx_dt_node_to_map+0xc4/0x290

Avoid this by setting group_index to 0 on probe.

This has been observed when using DEBUG_TEST_DRIVER_REMOVE.

430be10dd3 pinctrl: imx: accept gpio request/free from pinctrl
While only Freescale Vybrid SoC has settings of GPIO capabilities done
by iomux controller, it is only a matter of GPIO controller driver
implementation for the rest of Freescale/NXP SoCs from iMX series.

As a practical example on GPIO request a pad function should be
switched to GPIO, but because this requires updates to all particular
iMX pinctrl drivers, for simplicity at the moment add only a proper
connection between shared pinctrl-imx and pinctrl/pinmux core, namely
.gpio_request_enable/.gpio_disable_free/.gpio_set_direction callbacks
should return success to a caller. This change allows to progress by
adding request/free callbacks into gpio-mxc.c driver.

Commit e2756baa42 ("pinctrl: imx21: make it explicitly non-modular")
missed the removal of the MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() macro causing the
following build error:

drivers/pinctrl/freescale/pinctrl-imx21.c:328:1: error: data definition has no type or storage class [-Werror]
 MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE(of, imx21_pinctrl_of_match);

,so remove the macro to fix this problem.

11884b18ef pinctrl: remove orphaned exported ".remove" function
The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is:

drivers/pinctrl/freescale/Kconfig:config PINCTRL_MXS
drivers/pinctrl/freescale/Kconfig:	bool

...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone.

It also doesn't have any modular functionality, so it doesn't need
module.h included at all.

What it does have is an exported function that was used as a shared
".remove" by other drivers, but those use cases (imx23 and imx28)
are now gone, and hence this can disappear as well.

drivers/pinctrl/freescale/Kconfig:config PINCTRL_IMX28
drivers/pinctrl/freescale/Kconfig:	bool

...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone.

Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that
when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only.

We explicitly disallow a driver unbind, since that doesn't have a
sensible use case anyway, and it allows us to drop the ".remove"
code for non-modular drivers.

Since module_init was not in use by this driver, the init ordering
remains unchanged with this commit.

Also note that MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE is a no-op for non-modular code.

We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information
was (or is now) contained at the top of the file in the comments.

Commit bdb0066df9 ("mfd: syscon: Decouple syscon interface from platform

which don't work without a device. This patch associates the syscon regmap
that handles the IOMUX controller's general purpose registers with the
pinctrl device so that the GPR registers appear in the regmap debugfs

9911a2d5e9 pinctrl: imx25: ensure that a pin with id i is at position i in the info array
The code in pinctrl-imx.c only works correctly if in the
imx_pinctrl_soc_info passed to imx_pinctrl_probe we have:

	info->pins[i].number = i
	conf_reg(info->pins[i]) = 4 * i

(which conf_reg(pin) being the offset of the pin's configuration
register).

When the imx25 specific part was introduced in b4a87c9b96 ("pinctrl:
pinctrl-imx: add imx25 pinctrl driver") we had:

	info->pins[i].number = i + 1
	conf_reg(info->pins[i]) = 4 * i

. Commit 34027ca2bb ("pinctrl: imx25: fix numbering for pins") tried
to fix that but made the situation:

	info->pins[i-1].number = i
	conf_reg(info->pins[i-1]) = 4 * i

which is hardly better but fixed the error seen back then.

So insert another reserved entry in the array to finally yield:

	info->pins[i].number = i
	conf_reg(info->pins[i]) = 4 * i

 - Tglx also wrote a good bunch of patches to make use of
   irq_desc_get_xxx() accessors and avoid looking up irq_descs

   from the handlers in the IRQ flow which is nice.

 Driver feature enhancements:

 - Power management support for the SiRF SoC Atlas 7.

 - Power down support for the Qualcomm driver.

 - Intel Cherryview and Baytrail: switch drivers to use raw

 - Pinconf power source config for SH PFC.

9571b25df1 Subject: pinctrl: imx1-core: Fix debug output in .pin_config_set callback
imx1_pinconf_set assumes that the array of pins in struct
imx1_pinctrl_soc_info can be indexed by pin id to get the
pinctrl_pin_desc for a pin. This used to be correct up to commit
607af165c0 which removed some entries from the array and so made it
wrong to access the array by pin id.

The result of this bug is a wrong pin name in the output for small pin
ids and an oops for the bigger ones.

This patch is the result of a discussion that includes patches by Markus
Pargmann and Chris Ruehl.

323de9efdf pinctrl: make pinctrl_register() return proper error code
Currently, pinctrl_register() just returns NULL on error, so the
callers can not know the exact reason of the failure.

Some of the pinctrl drivers return -EINVAL, some -ENODEV, and some
-ENOMEM on error of pinctrl_register(), although the error code
might be different from the real cause of the error.

This commit reworks pinctrl_register() to return the appropriate
error code and modifies all of the pinctrl drivers to use IS_ERR()
for the error checking and PTR_ERR() for getting the error code.
