9fea84f46a pcmcia: CodingStyle fixes
Fix several CodingStyle issues in drivers/pcmcia/ . checkpatch.pl no longer
reports errors in the PCMCIA core. The remaining warnings mostly relate to
wrong indent -- PCMCIA historically used 4 spaces --, to lines over 80
characters and to hundreds of typedefs. The cleanup of those will follow
in the future.

1bf8e62195 Fix soc_common PCMCIA configuration
Jonathan Cameron reports that building PCMCIA as modules doesn't work:

As module get a load of undefined symbols:

22f9740552 ARM: 5814/1: SA1100: h3100/h3600: convert all users of assign_h3600_egpio to gpiolib
Use of gpio_request/gpio_free in some callbacks may look ugly, but

5fa9167a1b pcmcia: rework the irq_req_t typedef
Most of the irq_req_t typedef'd struct can be re-worked quite
easily:

(1) IRQInfo2 was unused in any case, so drop it.

(2) IRQInfo1 was used write-only, so drop it.

(3) Instance (private data to be passed to the IRQ handler):
Most PCMCIA drivers using pcmcia_request_irq() to actually
register an IRQ handler set the "dev_id" to the same pointer
as the "priv" pointer in struct pcmcia_device. Modify the two
exceptions (ipwireless, ibmtr_cs) to also work this waym and
set the IRQ handler's "dev_id" to p_dev->priv unconditionally.

(4) Handler is to be of type irq_handler_t.

(5) Handler != NULL already tells whether an IRQ handler is present.
Therefore, we do not need the IRQ_HANDLER_PRESENT flag in
	irq_req_t.Attributes.

0bdf9b3dd3 pcmcia: Change window_handle_t logic to unsigned long
Logic changes based on top of the other patches:

This set of patches changed window_handle_t from being a pointer to an
unsigned long. The unsigned long is now a simple index into socket->win[].
Going from a pointer to unsigned long should leave the user space interface
unchanged unless I'm mistaken.

This change results in code that is less error prone and a user space
interface which is much cleaner and safer. A nice side effect is that we
are also are able to remove all members except one from window_t.

[ linux@dominikbrodowski.net:
Update to 2.6.31. Also, a plain "index" to socket->win[] does not
work, as several codepaths rely on "window_handle_t" being
non-zero if used. Therefore, set the window_handle_t to the
	socket->win[] index + 1. ]

91284224da pcmcia: add new CIS access helpers
As a replacement to pcmcia_get_{first,next}_tuple() and
pcmcia_get_tuple_data(), three new -- and easier to use --
functions are added:

- pcmcia_get_tuple() to get the very first CIS entry of one
  type.

- pcmcia_loop_tuple() to loop over all CIS entries of one type.

- pcmcia_get_mac_from_cis() to read out the hardware MAC address
  from CISTPL_FUNCE.

Only a handful of drivers need these functions anyway, as most
CIS access is already handled by pcmcia_loop_config(), which
now shares the same backed (pccard_loop_tuple()) with
pcmcia_loop_tuple().

15ea76d407 pccard: configure CLS on attach
For non hotplug PCI devices, the system firmware usually configures
CLS correctly. For pccard devices system firmware can't do it and
Linux PCI layer doesn't do it either. Unfortunately this leads to
poor performance for certain devices (sata_sil). Unless MWI, which
requires separate configuration, is to be used, CLS doesn't affect
correctness, so the configuration should be harmless.

This patch makes pci_set_cacheline_size() always built and export it
and make pccard call it during attach.

Please note that some other PCI hotplug drivers (shpchp and pciehp)
also configure CLS on hotplug.

9905d1b411 PM / yenta: Split resume into early and late parts (rev. 4)
Commit 0c570cdeb8
(PM / yenta: Fix cardbus suspend/resume regression) caused resume to
fail on systems with two CardBus bridges. While the exact nature
of the failure is not known at the moment, it can be worked around by
splitting the yenta resume into an early part, executed during the
early phase of resume, that will only resume the socket and power it
up if there was a card in it during suspend, and a late part,
executed during "regular" resume, that will carry out all of the
remaining yenta resume operations.

Fixes http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14334, which is a
listed regression from 2.6.31.

84897fc052 pcmcia: pccard_read_tuple and TUPLE_RETURN_COMMON cleanup
pccard_read_tuple(), which is only used by the PCMCIA core, should
handle TUPLE_RETURN_COMMON more sensibly: If a specific function (which
may be 0) is requested, set tuple.Attributes = 0 as was done in all
PCMCIA drivers. If, however, BIND_FN_ALL is requested, return the
"common" tuple. As to the callers of pccard_read_tuple():

- All calls to pcmcia_validate_cis() had set the "function" parameter to
BIND_FN_ALL. Therefore, remove the "function" parameter and make the
  parameter to pccard_read_tuple explicit.

- Calls to CISTPL_VERS_1 and CISTPL_MANFID now set BIND_FN_ALL. This was
already the case for calls to CISTPL_LONGLINK_MFC.

0c570cdeb8 PM / yenta: Fix cardbus suspend/resume regression
Since 2.6.29 the PCI PM core have been restoring the standard
configuration registers of PCI devices in the early phase of
resume. In particular, PCI devices without drivers have been handled
this way since commit 355a72d75b
(PCI: Rework default handling of suspend and resume). Unfortunately,
this leads to post-resume problems with CardBus devices which cannot
be accessed in the early phase of resume, because the sockets they
are on have not been woken up yet at that point.

To solve this problem, move the yenta socket resume to the early
phase of resume and, analogously, move the suspend of it to the late
phase of suspend. Additionally, remove some unnecessary PCI code
from the yenta socket's resume routine.

Fixes http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13092, which is a
post-2.6.28 regression.

7a192ec334 platform driver: fix incorrect use of 'platform_bus_type' with 'struct device_driver'
This patch fixes the bug reported in
	http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11681.

"Lots of device drivers register a 'struct device_driver' with
the '.bus' member set to '&platform_bus_type'. This is wrong,
since the platform_bus functions expect the 'struct device_driver'
to be wrapped up in a 'struct platform_driver' which provides
some additional callbacks (like suspend_late, resume_early).
The effect may be that platform_suspend_late() uses bogus data
outside the device_driver struct as a pointer pointer to the
device driver's suspend_late() function or other hard to
reproduce failures."(Lothar Wassmann)

b74d196908 [ARM] pxa: move pxa2xx chip selects definitions out of pxa-regs.h
The definitions of PXA_CS<x>_PHYS are really PXA2xx specific and should
be moved out of pxa-regs.h. As an illustration, the PXA3xx static chip
selects definitions are added into pxa3xx-regs.h.

b393c69652 [ARM] pxa: move PCMCIA definitions out of pxa-regs.h into pxa2xx_base.c
Move the processor specific initialization (largely resources initialization)
out of soc_common_drv_pcmcia_probe() into dedicated sa11xx_drv_pcmcia_probe()
and __pxa2xx_drv_pcmcia_probe().

By doing this, we are now able to move the PCMCIA related definitions out of
pxa-regs.h and back into pxa2xx_base.c.

As a result, remove that reference of _PCMCIA1IO in arch/arm/mach-pxa/viper.c.

 -# include <asm-generic/int-ll64.h>

This will avoid reoccuring spurious warnings in core kernel code that
comes when people test on their own hardware. (i.e. x86 in ~98% of the
cases) This is what x86 uses and it generally helps keep 64-bit code
32-bit clean too.

This merges branches irq/genirq, irq/sparseirq-v4, timers/hpet-percpu
and x86/uv.

The sparseirq branch is just preliminary groundwork: no sparse IRQs are
actually implemented by this tree anymore - just the new APIs are added
while keeping the old way intact as well (the new APIs map 1:1 to
irq_desc[]). The 'real' sparse IRQ support will then be a relatively
small patch ontop of this - with a v2.6.29 merge target.

cec5eb7be3 pcmcia: Fix broken abuse of dev->driver_data
PCMCIA abuses dev->private_data in the probe methods. Unfortunately it
continues to abuse it after calling drv->probe() which leads to crashes and

Extract the passed data before calling the driver probe function that way
we don't blow up when the driver reuses dev->private_data as its right.

27ac792ca0 PAGE_ALIGN(): correctly handle 64-bit values on 32-bit architectures
On 32-bit architectures PAGE_ALIGN() truncates 64-bit values to the 32-bit
boundary. For example:

	u64 val = PAGE_ALIGN(size);

always returns a value < 4GB even if size is greater than 4GB.

The problem resides in PAGE_MASK definition (from include/asm-x86/page.h for
example):

#define PAGE_SHIFT      12
#define PAGE_SIZE       (_AC(1,UL) << PAGE_SHIFT)
#define PAGE_MASK       (~(PAGE_SIZE-1))
...
#define PAGE_ALIGN(addr)       (((addr)+PAGE_SIZE-1)&PAGE_MASK)

The "~" is performed on a 32-bit value, so everything in "and" with
PAGE_MASK greater than 4GB will be truncated to the 32-bit boundary.
Using the ALIGN() macro seems to be the right way, because it uses
typeof(addr) for the mask.

Also move the PAGE_ALIGN() definitions out of include/asm-*/page.h in
include/linux/mm.h.

5a1c3e1aa9 drivers/pcmcia: Add missing iounmap
of_iomap calls ioremap, and so should be matched with an iounmap. At the
two error returns, the result of calling of_iomap is only stored in a local
variable, so these error paths need to call iounmap. Furthermore, this
function ultimately stores the result of of_iomap in an array that is local
to the file. These values should be iounmapped at some point. I have
added a corresponding call to iounmap at the end of the function
m8xx_remove.

The problem was found using the following semantic match.

ecb8a8472f pcmcia: convert some internal-only ioaddr_t to unsigned int
Convert the io_req_t members to unsigned int, to allow use on machines with
more than 16 bits worth of IO ports (i.e. secondary busses on ppc64, etc).

There was only a couple of places in drivers where a change was needed. I
left printk formats alone (there are lots of %04x-style formats in there),
mostly to not change the format on the platforms that only have 16-bit io
addresses, but also because the padding doesn't really add all that much value
most of the time.

I found only one sprintf of an address, and upsized the string accordingly (I
doubt anyone will have anywhere near INT_MAX as irq value, but at least
there's room for it now).

24d6572b4f pxa2xx PCMCIA timing issue on iPAQ H5550
Recently I've been trying to get working PCMCIA interface on H5000 ipaq
series, using dual PCMCIA sleeve. So far things work correctly, but I had
to do one modification to drivers/pcmcia/pxa2xx_base.c to get the interface
working with orinoco gold PCMCIA card (wired pcnet_cs ethernet card worked
even without this modification).

The issue has something to do with assert time on PCMCIA bus, but I'm not
really sure what -- I found the working value just by trial&error approach.
I'm not sure how is the assert value in pxa2xx_mcxx_asst calculated (I
know, simple formula, but the reason why is it calculated that way is not
obvious for me), neither that my modification is correct. It just works
with iPAQ.

7eff2e7a8b Driver core: change add_uevent_var to use a struct
This changes the uevent buffer functions to use a struct instead of a
long list of parameters. It does no longer require the caller to do the

in some places. It fixes a known bug where parts of the uevent
environment are overwritten because of wrong index calculations.
