7beb3a6e93 ALSA: hda - Support Gigabyte Gaming board with dual Realtek codecs
This patch adds some workarounds to make Gigabyte GA-AX370 Gaming 5
board working without the conflicts of kctls, etc. In general, the
dual codec configs result in the conflicts of the following stuff:
- Master controls
- Capture controls
- Analog loopback controls
In addition, the auto-mute and the auto-mic can't work well among
multiple codecs.

The current "solution" is to disable all these features, and use UCM
for a better PulseAudio management. For a dedicated UCM profile, the
patch overrides the card longname so that the system an get a unique
profile path.

a87a4d23e8 ALSA: hda: Move common haswell init to a helper
Geminilake vendor nid is different from other Skylake variants, but rest
of the initialization code is same.

So a variable is added in hdmi_spec to store the platform specific vendor
nid and move the initialization code to a helper function to be used by
both platform specific init.

7480316c26 ALSA: hda - Allow to enable/disable vmaster build explicitly
Another preliminary patch for the dual-codec support: since the

well for consistency.

9f3dadb156 ALSA: hda - A new flag to enforce prefix to each pin
This is a preliminary patch for a smooth multi-codec support, and it
introduces a new flag, force_pin_prefix, to struct hda_codec.
This flag is used to force to add the pin location prefix to each
input pin. For example, when there is only one microphone pin,
usually the auto-parser assigns the string "Mic". With this flag on,
it'll be like "Front Mic". Also, the creation of "Master" or "PCM"
playback volume for a single pin is suppressed, too.

Apply the same methods to obtain the current stream position as ASoC

2f726aec19 ALSA: hda - fix a problem for lineout on a Dell AIO machine
On this Dell AIO machine, the lineout jack does not work.

We found the pin 0x1a is assigned to lineout on this machine, and in
the past, we applied ALC298_FIXUP_DELL1_MIC_NO_PRESENCE to fix the
heaset-set mic problem for this machine, this fixup will redefine
the pin 0x1a to headphone-mic, as a result the lineout doesn't
work anymore.

After consulting with Dell, they told us this machine doesn't support
microphone via headset jack, so we add a new fixup which only defines
the pin 0x18 as the headset-mic.

[rearranged the fixup insertion position by tiwai in order to make the
 merge with other branches easier -- tiwai]

Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie:
 "This is the main drm pull request for v4.11.

  Nothing too major, the tinydrm and mmu-less support should make
  writing smaller drivers easier for some of the simpler platforms, and
  there are a bunch of documentation updates.

  Intel grew displayport MST audio support which is hopefully useful to
  people, and FBC is on by default for GEN9+ (so people know where to
  look for regressions). AMDGPU has a lot of fixes that would like new
  firmware files installed for some GPUs.

  Other than that it's pretty scattered all over.

  I may have a follow up pull request as I know BenH has a bunch of AST
  rework and fixes and I'd like to get those in once they've been tested
  by AST, and I've got at least one pull request I'm just trying to get

41438f1314 ALSA: hda - Make single_cmd option to stop the fallback mechanism
HD-audio driver has a mechanism to fall back to the single cmd mode as
a last resort if the CORB/RIRB communication goes wrong even after
switching to the polling mode. The switching has worked in the past
well, but Enrico Mioso reported that his system crashes when this
happens.

Although the actual cause of the crash isn't still fully analyzed yet,
it'd be in anyway good to provide an option to turn off the fallback
mode. Now this patch extends the behavior of the existing single_cmd
option for that.  Namely,

- The option is changed from bool to bint.
- As default, it is the mode allowing the fallback to single cmd.
- Once when either true/false value is given to the option, the driver
  explicitly turns on/off the single cmd mode, but without the
  fallback.

That is, if you want to disable the fallback, just pass single_cmd=0
option. Passing single_cmd=1 will keep working like before.

9152085def ALSA: hda - add DP MST audio support
This patch adds the DP MST audio support on i915 platform and
it will enable dyn_pcm_assign feature.

DP MST supports several device entry on the same port and each
device entry can map to one pcm stream. For example, on i915,
there are 3 pins, and each pin has 3 device entries. This means
there should be 3x3 pcms. However, there is only 3 pipe lines in
i915. This means 3 pcms are actived at most at the same moment.
We will create 5 pcms (pin number + dev entry num - 1) in this case.
For the details, please refer commit a76056f2e5
("ALSA: hda - hdmi dynamically bind PCM to pin when monitor hotplug")

Each device entry is a virtual pin. It is described by pin_nid and dev_id
in struct hdmi_spec_per_pin.

ab949d5196 ALSA: hda - Fix deadlock of controller device lock at unbinding
Imre Deak reported a deadlock of HD-audio driver at unbinding while
it's still in probing. Since we probe the codecs asynchronously in a
work, the codec driver probe may still be kicked off while the
controller itself is being unbound. And, azx_remove() tries to
process all pending tasks via cancel_work_sync() for fixing the other
races (see commit [0b8c82190c: ALSA: hda - Cancel probe work instead
of flush at remove]), now we may meet a bizarre deadlock:

Unbind snd_hda_intel via sysfs:
  device_release_driver() ->
    device_lock(snd_hda_intel) ->
      azx_remove() ->
        cancel_work_sync(azx_probe_work)

azx_probe_work():
  codec driver probe() ->
     __driver_attach() ->
       device_lock(snd_hda_intel)

This deadlock is caused by the fact that both device_release_driver()
and driver_probe_device() take both the device and its parent locks at
the same time. The codec device sets the controller device as its
parent, and this lock is taken before the probe() callback is called,
while the controller remove() callback gets called also with the same
lock.

In this patch, as an ugly workaround, we unlock the controller device
temporarily during cancel_work_sync() call. The race against another
bind call should be still suppressed by the parent's device lock.

The commit [1a3f099101: ALSA: hda - Fix surround output pins for
ASRock B150M mobo] introduced a fixup of pin configs for ASRock
mobos to fix the surround outputs. However, this overrides the pin
configs of the mic pins as if they are outputs-only, effectively
disabling the mic inputs. Of course, it's a regression wrt mic
functionality.

Actually the pins 0x18 and 0x1a don't need to be changed; we just need
to disable the bogus pins 0x14 and 0x15. Then the auto-parser will
pick up mic pins as switchable and assign the surround outputs there.

This patch removes the incorrect pin overrides of NID 0x18 and 0x1a
from the ASRock fixup.

3ab7511eaf ALSA: hda - allow 40 bit DMA mask for NVidia devices
Commit 49d9e77e72 ("ALSA: hda - Fix system panic when DMA > 40 bits
for Nvidia audio controllers") simply disabled any DMA exceeding 32
bits for NVidia devices, even though they are capable of performing
DMA up to 40 bits. On some architectures (such as arm64), system memory
is not guaranteed to be 32-bit addressable by PCI devices, and so this
change prevents NVidia devices from working on platforms such as AMD
Seattle.

Since the original commit already mentioned that up to 40 bits of DMA
is supported, and given that the code has been updated in the meantime
to support a 40 bit DMA mask on other devices, revert commit 49d9e77e72
and explicitly set the DMA mask to 40 bits for NVidia devices.

Pandiyan, Dhinakaran
f931894194 drm/i915/dp: DP audio API changes for MST
DP MST provides the capability to send multiple video and audio streams
through a single port. This requires the API's between i915 and audio
drivers to distinguish between multiple audio capable displays that can be
connected to a port. Currently only the port identity is shared in the
APIs. This patch adds support for MST with an additional parameter
'int pipe'. The existing parameter 'port' does not change it's meaning.

pipe =
	MST	: display pipe that the stream originates from
	Non-MST	: -1

Affected APIs:
struct i915_audio_component_ops
-       int (*sync_audio_rate)(struct device *, int port, int rate);
+	int (*sync_audio_rate)(struct device *, int port, int pipe,
+	     int rate);

- int (*get_eld)(struct device *, int port, bool *enabled,
-                       unsigned char *buf, int max_bytes);
+ int (*get_eld)(struct device *, int port, int pipe,
+		       bool *enabled, unsigned char *buf, int max_bytes);

struct i915_audio_component_audio_ops
-       void (*pin_eld_notify)(void *audio_ptr, int port);
+       void (*pin_eld_notify)(void *audio_ptr, int port, int pipe);

This patch makes dummy changes in the audio drivers (thanks Libin) for
build to succeed. The audio side drivers will send the right 'pipe' values
for MST in patches that will follow.

v2:
Renamed the new API parameter from 'dev_id' to 'pipe'. (Jim, Ville)
Included Asoc driver API compatibility changes from Jeeja.
Added WARN_ON() for invalid pipe in get_saved_encoder(). (Takashi)
Added comment for av_enc_map[] definition. (Takashi)

v3:
Fixed logic error introduced while renaming 'dev_id' as 'pipe' (Ville)
Renamed get_saved_encoder() to get_saved_enc() to reduce line length

v4:
Rebased.
Parameter check for pipe < -1 values in get_saved_enc() (Ville)
Switched to for_each_pipe() in get_saved_enc() (Ville)
Renamed 'pipe' to 'dev_id' in audio side code (Takashi)

v5:
Included a comment for the dev_id arg. (Libin)

09da111aef ALSA: hda - Skip Realtek SKU check for Lenovo machines
Realtek codec driver expects an implicit rule where either the codec
SSID or the pincfg NID 0x1d contains the some information encoded in
some bits. One of the expected information is there is the
availability of PC beep, and the driver doesn't build up the PC beep
control if this is *supposed* to be disabled there.

Meanwhile, Lenovo doesn't seem to follow this requirement (yes it's
non-standard after all), and the BIOS sets just the normal SSID and
the pincfg values. This resulted in the lack of PC beep on a few
machines, purely with a lucky or unlucky number. It didn't bother
most people, but some people still demand the PC beep, as found in bug
reports.

This patch just adds the fixup chain to Lenovo machines to skip the
SKU checks. Then the beep control will show up in the mixer, and user
can still decide to enable / disable it via the standard mixer
interface.

a52ff34e5e ALSA: hda - Manage power well properly for resume
For SKL and later Intel chips, we control the power well per codec
basis via link_power callback since the commit [03b135cebc: ALSA:
hda - remove dependency on i915 power well for SKL].
However, there are a few exceptional cases where the gfx registers are
accessed from the audio driver: namely the wakeup override bit
toggling at (both system and runtime) resume. This seems causing a
kernel warning when accessed during the power well down (and likely
resulting in the bogus register accesses).

This patch puts the proper power up / down sequence around the resume
code so that the wakeup bit is fiddled properly while the power is
up. (The other callback, sync_audio_rate, is used only in the PCM
callback, so it's guaranteed in the power-on.)

Also, by this proper power up/down, the instantaneous flip of wakeup
bit in the resume callback that was introduced by the commit
[033ea349a7: ALSA: hda - Fix Skylake codec timeout] becomes
superfluous, as snd_hdac_display_power() already does it. So we can
clean it up together.

59ec4b57bc ALSA: hda - Fix headset mic detection problem for two dell machines
One of the machines has ALC255 on it, another one has ALC298 on it.

On the machine with the codec ALC298, it also has the speaker volume
problem, so we add the fixup chained to ALC298_FIXUP_SPK_VOLUME rather
than adding a group of pin definition in the pin quirk table, since
the speak volume problem does not happen on other machines yet.

3966922548 ALSA: hda - Fix regression on ATI HDMI audio
The HDMI/DP audio output on ATI/AMD chips got broken due to the recent
restructuring of chmap. Fortunately, Daniel Exner could bisect, and
pointed the culprit commit [739ffee97e: ALSA: hda - Add hdmi chmap
verb programming ops to chmap object].

This commit moved some ops from hdmi_ops to chmap_ops, and reassigned
the ops in the embedded chmap object in hdmi_spec instead.
Unfortunately, the reassignment of these ops in patch_atihdmi() were
moved into an if block that is performed only for old chips. Thus, on
newer chips, the generic ops is still used, which doesn't work for
such ATI/AMD chips.

This patch addresses the regression, simply by moving the assignment
of chmap ops to the right place.

addacd801e ALSA: hda - Fix broken reconfig
The HD-audio reconfig function got broken in the recent kernels,
typically resulting in a failure like:
  snd_hda_intel 0000:00:1b.0: control 3:0:0:Playback Channel Map:0 is already present

This is because of the code restructuring to move the PCM and control
instantiation into the codec drive probe, by the commit [bcd96557bd:
ALSA: hda - Build PCMs and controls at codec driver probe]. Although
the commit above removed the calls of snd_hda_codec_build_pcms() and
*_build_controls() at the controller driver probe, the similar calls
in the reconfig were still left forgotten. This caused the
conflicting and duplicated PCMs and controls.

The fix is trivial: just remove these superfluous calls from
reconfig_codec().

39f0ccde36 ALSA: hda - Clarify CONFIG_SND_HDA_RECONFIG usages
Since the recent rewrite of HD-audio infrastructure,
CONFIG_SND_HDA_RECONFIG has a slightly different meaning. In the
earlier versions, it implicitly assumed only the usage via hwdep sysfs
entries. Meanwhile, in the recent version, this option is meant to
enable the reconfig code in HD-audio driver, which may be used by the
patch loader without hwdep interface.

This patch tries to clarify the usage pattern a bit better, hopefully
avoid the further confusion.

bb03ed2163 ALSA: hda - Update BCLK also at hotplug for i915 HSW/BDW
The recent bug report suggests that BCLK setup for i915 HSW/BDW needs
to be updated at each HDMI hotplug, not only at initialization and
resume. That is, we need to update HSW_EM4 and HSW_EM5 registers at
ELD notification, too. Otherwise the HDMI audio may be out of sync
and played in a wrong pitch.

However, the HDA codec driver has no access to the controller
registers, and currently the code managing these registers is in
hda_intel.c, i.e. local to the controller driver. For allowing the
explicit BCLK update from the codec driver, as in this patch, the
former haswell_set_bclk() in hda_intel.c is moved to hdac_i915.c and
exposed as snd_hdac_i915_set_bclk(). This is called from both the HDA
controller driver and intel_pin_eld_notify() in HDMI codec driver.

Along with this change, snd_hdac_get_display_clk() gets dropped as
it's no longer used.

de3df8a986 ALSA: hda - Keep powering up ADCs on Cirrus codecs
Although one weird behavior about the input path (inconsistent D0/D3
switch) on Cirrus CS420x codecs was fixed in the previous commit,
there is still an issue on some Mac machines: the capture stream
stalls when switching the ADCs on the fly. More badly, this keeps
stuck until the next reboot.

The dynamic ADC switching is already a bit fragile and assuming
optimistically that the chip accepts the frequent power changes. On
Cirrus codecs, this doesn't seem applicable.

As a quick workaround, we pin down the ADCs to keep up in D0 when
spec->dyn_adc_switch is set. In this way, the ADCs are kept up only
for the system that were confirmed to be broken.

50fd4987c4 ALSA: hda - Don't trust the reported actual power state
We've got a regression report that the recording on Mac with a cirrus
codec doesn't work any longer. This turned out to be the missing
power up to D0 by power_save_node enablement.

After analyzing the traces, we found out that the culprit is that the
codec advertises the "actual" power state of a few nodes to be D0
while the "target" power state is D3. This inconsistency is usually
OK, as it implies the power transition. But in the case of cirrus
codec, this seems to be stuck to D3 while it's not actually D0.

This patch addresses the issue by checking the power state difference
more strictly. It sends the power-state change verb unless both the
target and the actual power states show the given value.

We may introduce yet another flag indicating the possible broken
hardware power state, but it's anyway safer to set the proper power
state even in a transition (at least it's harmless as long as the
target state is same). So this simpler change was applied now.

The basic problem is that pin_eld->monitor_present is updated in the

The commit [bd48128539: ALSA: hda - Fix forgotten HDMI
monitor_present update] covered the missing update of monitor_present
flag, but this caused a regression for devices without the i915 eld
notifier. Since the old code supposed that pin_eld->monitor_present
was updated by the caller side, the hdmi_present_sense_via_verbs()
doesn't update the temporary eld->monitor_present but only
pin_eld->monitor_present, which is now overridden in update_eld().

The fix is to update pin_eld->monitor_present as well before calling
update_eld().

Note that this may still leave monitor_present flag in an inconsistent
state when the driver repolls, but this is at least the old behavior.
More proper fix will follow in the later patch.

c68ae33e7f ACPI / utils: Rename acpi_dev_present()
acpi_dev_present() was originally named after pci_dev_present()
to signify the similarity of the two functions.

However Rafael J. Wysocki pointed out that the exported function
acpi_dev_present() is easily confused with the non-exported
acpi_device_is_present(). Additionally in ACPI parlance the term
"present" usually refers to the "device is present" bit returned
by the _STA control method, yet acpi_dev_present() merely checks
presence in the namespace. It does not invoke _STA at all, let
alone check the "device is present" bit.

As suggested by Rafael, rename the function to acpi_dev_found()

The existing TLV callback implementation copies all of the

With this patch, it parses the spk_alloc block as queried from

Thus the user can parse the TLV container to identify sink's

It shouldn't impact the behavior in AMD chipset, as this makes

We have too many Intel-specific codes in patch_hdmi_generic() despite
its function name. And this makes it difficult to adjust per chipset,
e.g. for allowing the audio notifier on an old chipset, one would need
to add an explicit if() check.

This patch attempts some code refactoring and cleanups in this regard;
the Intel-specific codes are moved out of patch_generic_hdmi() into
the new functions, patch_i915_hsw_hdmi() and patch_i915_byt_hdmi(),
depending on the chipset. The other old Intel chipsets keep using
patch_generic_hdmi() without Intel hacks. The existing
patch_generic_hdmi() is also split to a few components so that they
can be called from the Intel codec parsers.

There are still many is_haswell*() and is_valleyview*() macro usages
in the code. They will be cleaned up later. For the time being, only
the entry are concerned.

Along with this change, the i915_bound flag and the on-demand i915
component binding have been removed as a cleanup, since there is no
user at this moment. This will be added back later once when Cougar

The recent addition of on-demand i915 audio component binding in the

like:

   [<ffffffffa01192a6>] hda_codec_runtime_suspend+0x76/0xa0 [snd_hda_codec]
   .....

The scenario is like below:
- HD-audio driver and i915 driver are probed concurrently at the
  (almost) same time; HDA bus tries to bind with i915, but it fails
  because i915 initialization is still being processed.
- Later on, HD-audio probes the HDMI codec, where it again tries to
  bind with i915. At this time, it succeeds.
- At finishing the probe of HDA, it decreases the refcount as if it
  were already bound at the bus probe, since the component is bound
  now. This triggers a kernel WARNING due to the unbalance.

As a workaround, in this patch, we just disable the on-demand i915
component binding in the codec driver. This essentially reverts back
to the state of 4.4 kernel.

We know that this is no real solution, but it's a minimalistic simple
change that can be applied to 4.5.x kernel as stable.

222bde0388 ALSA: hda - Fix mutex deadlock at HDMI/DP hotplug
The recent change in HD-audio HDMI/DP codec driver for allowing the
dynamic PCM binding introduced a new spec->pcm_mutex. One of the
protected area by this mutex is hdmi_present_sense(). As reported by
Intel CI tests, unfortunately, the new mutex causes a deadlock when
the hotplug/unplug is triggered during the codec is in runtime
suspend. The buggy code path is like the following:

  hdmi_unsol_event() -> ...
    -> hdmi_present_sense()
==>     ** here taking pcm_mutex
      -> hdmi_present_sense_via_verbs()
        -> snd_hda_power_up_pm() -> ... (runtime resume calls)
          -> generic_hdmi_resume()
            -> hdmi_present_sense()
==>           ** here taking pcm_mutex again!

As we can see here, the problem is that the mutex is taken before
snd_hda_power_up_pm() call that triggers the runtime resume. That is,
the obvious solution is to move the power up/down call outside the
mutex; it is exactly what this patch provides.

The patch also clarifies why this bug wasn't caught beforehand. We
used to have the i915 audio component for hotplug for all Intel chips,
and in that code path, there is no power up required but the
information is taken directly from the graphics side. However, we
recently switched back to the old method for some old Intel chips due
to regressions, and now the deadlock issue is surfaced.

4f8e4f3537 ALSA: hda - Don't handle ELD notify from invalid port
The current Intel HDMI codec driver supports only three fixed ports
from port B to port D. However, i915 driver may assign a DP on other

caught later at pin_nid_to_pin_index() and results in a warning

This patch filters out such invalid events beforehand, so that the

30ff5957c3 ALSA: hda - Autosuspend controller after probe even if codecs are already suspended
azx_probe_continue() uses pm_runtime_put_noidle() to drop the rpm
usage_count, which means that if it's the last reference the
autosuspend of the controller won't actually happen. So if the codecs
autosuspend before the azx_probe_continue() drops the last
reference we'll fail to autosuspend the controller. This does happen
in practice, but not every time. As can be seen in [1] the controller
autosuspend attempt fails due to the usage_count when suspending the
codecs. A bit later we see the the contoller usage_count dropping to
zero without further attempts at autosuspend.

Fix the problem by using pm_runtime_put_autosuspend() instead, which
will kick off the autosuspend of the controller even if the codecs
are already asleep. As can be seen in [2] the controller autosuspend
still fails while suspending the codecs, but later on we see another
autosuspend attempt after dropping the usage_count to 0.

I was also a bit worried that there might still be a race between the
controller autosuspend and the rest of the code in azx_probe_continue().
So I also tried replacing the the put_noidle() with put_sync_suspend().
No explosions occurred, so I'm somewhat satisfied that there are no
serious problems in this area.

473f414564 ALSA: hda - Loop interrupt handling until really cleared
Currently the interrupt handler of HD-audio driver assumes that no irq
update is needed while processing the irq. But in reality, it has
been confirmed that the HW irq is issued even during the irq
handling. Since we clear the irq status at the beginning, process the
interrupt, then exits from the handler, the lately issued interrupt is
left untouched without being properly processed.

This patch changes the interrupt handler code to loop over the
check-and-process. The handler tries repeatedly as long as the IRQ
status are turned on, and either stream or CORB/RIRB is handled.

For checking the stream handling, snd_hdac_bus_handle_stream_irq()
returns a value indicating the stream indices bits. Other than that,
the change is only in the irq handler itself.

fe0d128c57 ALSA: jack: Allow building the jack layer without input device
Since the recent integration of kctl jack and input jack layers, we
can basically build the jack layer even without input devices. That
is, the jack layer itself can be built with conditional to enable the
input device support or not, while the users may enable always
CONFIG_SND_JACK unconditionally.

For achieving it, this patch changes the following:
- A new Kconfig, CONFIG_SND_JACK_INPUT_DEV, was introduced to indicate
  whether the jack layer supports the input device,
- A few items in snd_jack struct and relevant codes are conditionally
  built upon CONFIG_SND_JACK_INPUT_DEV,
- The users of CONFIG_SND_JACK drop the messy dependency on
  CONFIG_INPUT.

This change also automagically fixes a potential bug in HD-audio
driver Arnd reported, where the NULL or uninitialized jack instance is
dereferenced.

Also, HP G470 G3 suffers from the similar problem, as reported in
bugzilla below. On this machine, the codec probe error appears even
at a fresh boot.

As Libin suggested, the same workaround used for Broxton in the commit
[6639484dda: ALSA: hda - disable dynamic clock gating on Broxton
 before reset] can be applied for Skylake in order to fix this problem.
The Intel HW team also confirmed that this is needed for SKL.

This patch makes the workaround applied to both SKL and BXT
platforms. The referred macros are moved and one superfluous macro
(IS_BROXTON()) is another one (IS_BXT()) as well.

3184270ec1 ALSA: hda - hdmi get jack from hda_jack_tbl when not dyn_pcm_assign
On Intel platform, if !dyn_pcm_assign, spec->pcm_rec[].jack is not
NULL even after snd_hda_jack_tbl_clear() is called to free snd_jack.
This may cause access invalid memory when calling snd_jack_report.

0b8c82190c ALSA: hda - Cancel probe work instead of flush at remove
The commit [991f86d7ae: ALSA: hda - Flush the pending probe work at
remove] introduced the sync of async probe work at remove for fixing
the race. However, this may lead to another hangup when the module
removal is performed quickly before starting the probe work, because
it issues flush_work() and it's blocked forever.

The workaround is to use cancel_work_sync() instead of flush_work()
there.

2ebab40eb7 ALSA: hda - Fix bad dereference of jack object
The hda_jack_tbl entries are managed by snd_array for allowing
multiple jacks. It's good per se, but the problem is that struct
hda_jack_callback keeps the hda_jack_tbl pointer.  Since snd_array
doesn't preserve each pointer at resizing the array, we can't keep the
original pointer but have to deduce the pointer at each time via
snd_array_entry() instead. Actually, this resulted in the deference
to the wrong pointer on codecs that have many pins such as CS4208.

This patch replaces the pointer to the NID value as the search key.
As an unexpected good side effect, this even simplifies the code, as
only NID is needed in most cases.

6c361d10e0 Revert "ALSA: hda - Fix noise on Gigabyte Z170X mobo"
This reverts commit 0c25ad8040.

The original commit disabled the aamixer path due to the noise
problem, but it turned out that some mobo with the same PCI SSID
doesn't suffer from the issue, and the disabled function (analog
loopback) is still demanded by users.

Since the recent commit [e7fdd52779: ALSA: hda - Implement loopback
control switch for Realtek and other codecs], we have the dynamic
mixer switch to enable/disable the aamix path, and we don't have to
disable the path statically any longer. So, let's revert the
disablement, so that only the user suffering from the noise problem
can turn off the aamix on the fly.

360a824568 ALSA: hda - Fix static checker warning in patch_hdmi.c
The static checker warning is:

	sound/pci/hda/patch_hdmi.c:460 hdmi_eld_ctl_get()
	error: __memcpy() 'eld->eld_buffer' too small (256 vs 512)

I have a hard time figuring out if this can ever cause an information leak
(I don't think so), but nonetheless it does not hurt to increase the
robustness of the code.
