On platforms booting with ACPI, architected memory-mapped timers'
configuration data is provided by firmware through the ACPI GTDT
static table.
The clocksource architected timer kernel driver requires a firmware
interface to collect timer configuration and configure its driver.
this infrastructure is present for device tree systems, but it is
missing on systems booting with ACPI.
Implement the kernel infrastructure required to parse the static
ACPI GTDT table so that the architected timer clocksource driver can
make use of it on systems booting with ACPI, therefore enabling
the corresponding timers configuration.

This patch adds support for parsing arch timer info in GTDT,
provides some kernel APIs to parse all the PPIs and
always-on info in GTDT and export them.
By this driver, we can simplify arm_arch_timer drivers, and
separate the ACPI GTDT knowledge from it.

The check for duplicate processor ids happens at boot time based on the
ACPI table contents, but the final sanity checks for a processor happen
at hotplug time.
At hotplug time, where the physical information is available, which might
differ from the ACPI table information, a check for duplicate processor
ids is missing.
Add it to the hotplug checks and rename the function so it better
reflects its purpose.

Revert: dc6db24d24 ("x86/acpi: Set persistent cpuid <-> nodeid mapping when booting")
The mapping of "cpuid <-> nodeid" is established at boot time via ACPI
tables to keep associations of workqueues and other node related items
consistent across cpu hotplug.
But, ACPI tables are unreliable and failures with that boot time mapping
have been reported on machines where the ACPI table and the physical
information which is retrieved at actual hotplug is inconsistent.
Revert the mapping implementation so it can be replaced with a less error
prone approach.

We may or may not have all possible CPUs in MADT on boot but in any
case we're overwriting x86_cpu_to_acpiid mapping with U32_MAX when
acpi_register_lapic() is called again on the CPU hotplug path:
acpi_processor_hotadd_init()
-> acpi_map_cpu()
-> acpi_register_lapic()
As we have the required acpi_id information in acpi_processor_hotadd_init()
propagate it to acpi_map_cpu() to always keep x86_cpu_to_acpiid
mapping valid.

ACPI extended IRQ resources may contain a ResourceSource to specify
an alternate interrupt controller. Introduce acpi_irq_get and use it
to implement ResourceSource/IRQ domain mapping.
The new API is similar to of_irq_get and allows re-initialization
of a platform resource from the ACPI extended IRQ resource, and
provides proper behavior for probe deferral when the domain is not
yet present when called.

Add acpi_resource_consumer(). This takes a struct resource and searches
the ACPI namespace for a device whose current resource settings (_CRS)
includes the resource. It returns the device if it exists, or NULL if no
device uses the resource.
If more than one device uses the resource (this may happen in the case of
bridges), acpi_resource_consumer() returns the first one found by
acpi_get_devices() in its modified depth-first walk of the namespace.

On DT based systems, the of_dma_configure() API implements DMA
configuration for a given device. On ACPI systems an API equivalent to
of_dma_configure() is missing which implies that it is currently not
possible to set-up DMA operations for devices through the ACPI generic
kernel layer.
This patch fills the gap by introducing acpi_dma_configure/deconfigure()
calls that for now are just wrappers around arch_setup_dma_ops() and
arch_teardown_dma_ops() and also updates ACPI and PCI core code to use
the newly introduced acpi_dma_configure/acpi_dma_deconfigure functions.
Since acpi_dma_configure() is used to configure DMA operations, the
function initializes the dma/coherent_dma masks to sane default values
if the current masks are uninitialized (also to keep the default values
consistent with DT systems) to make sure the device has a complete
default DMA set-up.
The DMA range size passed to arch_setup_dma_ops() is sized according
to the device coherent_dma_mask (starting at address 0x0), mirroring the
DT probing path behaviour when a dma-ranges property is not provided
for the device being probed; this changes the current arch_setup_dma_ops()
call parameters in the ACPI probing case, but since arch_setup_dma_ops()
is a NOP on all architectures but ARM/ARM64 this patch does not change
the current kernel behaviour on them.

On systems booting with a device tree, every struct device is associated
with a struct device_node, that provides its DT firmware representation.
The device node can be used in generic kernel contexts (eg IRQ
translation, IOMMU streamid mapping), to retrieve the properties
associated with the device and carry out kernel operations accordingly.
Owing to the 1:1 relationship between the device and its device_node,
the device_node can also be used as a look-up token for the device (eg
looking up a device through its device_node), to retrieve the device in
kernel paths where the device_node is available.
On systems booting with ACPI, the same abstraction provided by
the device_node is required to provide look-up functionality.
The struct acpi_device, that represents firmware objects in the
ACPI namespace already includes a struct fwnode_handle of
type FWNODE_ACPI as their member; the same abstraction is missing
though for devices that are instantiated out of static ACPI tables
entries (eg ARM SMMU devices).
Add a new fwnode_handle type to associate devices created out
of static ACPI table entries to the respective firmware components
and create a simple ACPI core layer interface to dynamically allocate
and free the corresponding firmware nodes so that kernel subsystems
can use it to instantiate the nodes and associate them with the
respective devices.

We have a couple of drivers, acpi_apd.c and acpi_lpss.c,
that need to pass extra build-in properties to the devices
they create. Previously the drivers added those properties
to the struct device which is member of the struct
acpi_device, but that does not work. Those properties need
to be assigned to the struct device of the platform device
instead in order for them to become available to the
drivers.
To fix this, this patch changes acpi_create_platform_device
function to take struct property_entry pointer as parameter.

Ondrej reported that IRQs stopped working in v4.7 on several
platforms. A typical scenario, from Ondrej's VT82C694X/694X, is:

We're using PIC routing, so acpi_irq_balance == 0, and LNKA is already
active at IRQ 11. In that case, acpi_pci_link_allocate() only tries
to use the active IRQ (IRQ 11) which also happens to be the SCI.
We should penalize the SCI by PIRQ_PENALTY_PCI_USING, but
irq_get_trigger_type(11) returns something other than
IRQ_TYPE_LEVEL_LOW, so we penalize it by PIRQ_PENALTY_ISA_ALWAYS
instead, which makes acpi_pci_link_allocate() assume the IRQ isn't
available and give up.
Add acpi_penalize_sci_irq() so platforms can tell us the SCI IRQ,
trigger, and polarity directly and we don't have to depend on
irq_get_trigger_type().

DT allows holes or empty phandles for references. This is used for example
in SPI subsystem where some chip selects are native and others are regular
GPIOs. In ACPI _DSD we currently do not support this but instead the
preceding reference consumes all following integer arguments.
For example we would like to support something like the below ASL fragment

The zero in the middle means "no entry" or NULL reference. To support this
we change acpi_data_get_property_reference() to take firmware node and
num_args as argument and rename it to __acpi_node_get_property_reference().
The function returns -ENOENT if the given index resolves to "no entry"
reference and -ENODATA when there are no more entries in the property.
We then add static inline wrapper acpi_node_get_property_reference() that
passes MAX_ACPI_REFERENCE_ARGS as num_args to support the existing
behaviour which some drivers have been relying on.

Starting from Intel Skylake the iTCO watchdog timer registers were moved to
reside in the same register space with SMBus host controller. Not all
needed registers are available though and we need to unhide P2SB (Primary
to Sideband) device briefly to be able to read status of required NO_REBOOT
bit. The i2c-i801.c SMBus driver used to handle this and creation of the
iTCO watchdog platform device.
Windows, on the other hand, does not use the iTCO watchdog hardware
directly even if it is available. Instead it relies on ACPI Watchdog Action
Table (WDAT) table to describe the watchdog hardware to the OS. This table
contains necessary information about the the hardware and also set of
actions which are executed by a driver as needed.
This patch implements a new watchdog driver that takes advantage of the
ACPI WDAT table. We split the functionality into two parts: first part
enumerates the WDAT table and if found, populates resources and creates
platform device for the actual driver. The second part is the driver
itself.
The reason for the split is that this way we can make the driver itself to
be a module and loaded automatically if the WDAT table is found. Otherwise
the module is not loaded.

When the ACPI_DECLARE_PROBE_ENTRY macro was added in
commit e647b53227 ("ACPI: Add early device probing infrastructure"),
a stub macro adding an unused entry was added for the !CONFIG_ACPI
Kconfig option case to make sure kernel code making use of the
macro did not require to be guarded within CONFIG_ACPI in order to
be compiled.
The stub macro was never used since all kernel code that defines
ACPI_DECLARE_PROBE_ENTRY entries is currently guarded within
CONFIG_ACPI; it contains a typo that should be nonetheless fixed.
Fix the typo in the stub (ie !CONFIG_ACPI) ACPI_DECLARE_PROBE_ENTRY()
macro so that it can actually be used if needed.

Following the fwnode of a device is currently a one-way road: We provide
ACPI_COMPANION() to obtain the fwnode but there's no (public) method to
do the reverse. Granted, there may be multiple physical_nodes, but often
the first one in the list is sufficient.
A handy function to obtain it was introduced with commit 3b95bd1605
("ACPI: introduce a function to find the first physical device"), but
currently it's only available internally.
We're about to add an EFI Device Path parser which needs this function.
Consider the following device path: ACPI(PNP0A03,0)/PCI(28,2)/PCI(0,0)
The PCI root is encoded as an ACPI device in the path, so the parser
has to find the corresponding ACPI device, then find its physical node,
find the PCI bridge in slot 1c (decimal 28), function 2 below it and
finally find the PCI device in slot 0, function 0.
To this end, make acpi_get_first_physical_node() public.

ACPI 6.0 introduced an optional object _LPI that provides an alternate
method to describe Low Power Idle states. It defines the local power
states for each node in a hierarchical processor topology. The OSPM can
use _LPI object to select a local power state for each level of processor
hierarchy in the system. They used to produce a composite power state
request that is presented to the platform by the OSPM.
Since multiple processors affect the idle state for any non-leaf hierarchy
node, coordination of idle state requests between the processors is
required. ACPI supports two different coordination schemes: Platform
coordinated and OS initiated.
This patch adds initial support for Platform coordination scheme of LPI.

Add support for ACPI reconfiguration notifiers to allow subsystems
to react to changes in the ACPI tables that happen after the initial
enumeration. This is similar with the way dynamic device tree
notifications work.
The reconfigure notifications supported for now are device add and
device remove.
Since ACPICA allows only one table notification handler, this patch
makes the table notifier function generic and moves it out of the
sysfs specific code.

If the ACPI tables change as a result of a dinamically loaded table
and a bus rescan is required the enumeration/visited flag are not
consistent.
I2C/SPI are not directly enumerated in acpi_bus_attach(), however
the visited flag is set. This makes it impossible to check if an
ACPI device has already been enumerated by the I2C and SPI
subsystems. To fix this issue we only set the visited flags if
the device is not I2C or SPI.
With this change we also need to remove setting visited to false
from acpi_bus_attach(), otherwise if we rescan already enumerated
I2C/SPI devices we try to re-enumerate them.
Note that I2C/SPI devices can be enumerated either via a scan handler
(when using PRP0001) or via regular device_attach(). In either case
the flow goes through acpi_default_enumeration() which makes it the
ideal place to mark the ACPI device as enumerated.

For device nodes in both DT and ACPI, it possible to have named
child nodes which contain properties (an existing example being
gpio-leds). This adds a function to find a named child node for
a device which can be used by drivers for property retrieval.
For DT data node name matching, of_node_cmp() and similar functions
are made available outside of CONFIG_OF block so the new function
can reference these for DT and non-DT builds.
For ACPI data node name matching, a helper function is also added
which returns false if CONFIG_ACPI is not set, otherwise it
performs a string comparison on the data node name. This avoids
using the acpi_data_node struct for non CONFIG_ACPI builds,
which would otherwise cause a build failure.

Refer initrd_start, initrd_end directly from drivers/acpi/tables.c.
This allows to use the table upgrade feature in architectures
other than x86. Also this simplifies header files.
The patch renames acpi_table_initrd_init() to acpi_table_upgrade()
(what reflects the purpose of the function) and removes the unneeded
wraps early_acpi_table_init() and early_initrd_acpi_init().

Since acpi_numa_arch_fixup() is only used in arch ia64, move it there
to make a generic interface easier. This avoids empty function stubs

_OSI handling code grows giant and it's time to move them into one file.
This patch collects all _OSI handling code into one single file.
So that we only have the following functions to be used externally:
early_acpi_osi_init(): Used by DMI detections;
acpi_osi_init(): Used to initialize OSI command line settings and install
Linux specific _OSI handler;
acpi_osi_setup(): The API that should be used by the external quirks.
acpi_osi_is_win8(): The API is used by the external drivers to determine
if BIOS supports Win8.
CONFIG_DMI is not useful as stub dmi_check_system() can make everything
stub because of strip.
No functional changes.
