one is the revert of changes to the startup and shutdown sequence for
DAIs that went in during the merge window - they broke some older x86
platforms and attempts to fix them didn't succeed so it's safer to just
roll them back and try to make sure those platforms are handled properly
in any future attempt.
The rockchip S/PDIF DT stuff was IIRC for validation issues.

Use the correct prototypes for do_gettimeofday(), getnstimeofday() and

Current dts files with 'spdif' nodes are manually verified.
In order to automate this process rockchip-spdif.txt
has to be converted to yaml.
Also rk3188.dtsi, rk3288.dtsi use an extra fallback string,

The EFI handover protocol was introduced on x86 to permit the boot
loader to pass a populated boot_params structure as an additional
function argument to the entry point. This allows the bootloader to
pass the base and size of a initrd image, which is more flexible
than relying on the EFI stub's file I/O routines, which can only
access the file system from which the kernel image itself was loaded
from firmware.
This approach requires a fair amount of internal knowledge regarding
the layout of the boot_params structure on the part of the boot loader,
as well as knowledge regarding the allowed placement of the initrd in
memory, and so it has been deprecated in favour of a new initrd loading
method that is based on existing UEFI protocols and best practices.
So update the x86 boot protocol documentation to clarify that the EFI
handover protocol has been deprecated, and while at it, add a note that
invoking the EFI handover protocol still requires the PE/COFF image to
be loaded properly (as opposed to simply being copied into memory).
Also, drop the code32_start header field from the list of values that
need to be provided, as this is no longer required.

Fix: Christoph Hellwig noticed that some logic I added to
orangefs_file_read_iter introduced a race condition, so he
sent a reversion patch. I had to modify his patch since
reverting at this point broke Orangefs.
Cleanup 1: Christoph Hellwig noticed that we were doing some unnecessary
work in orangefs_flush, so he sent in a patch that removed
the un-needed code.
Cleanup 2: Al Viro told me he had trouble building Orangefs. Orangefs
should be easy to build, even for Al :-). I looked back
at the test server build notes in orangefs.txt, just in case
that's where the trouble really is, and found a couple of
typos and made a couple of clarifications.
Merge Conflict: Stephen Rothwell reported that my modifications to
orangefs.txt caused a merge conflict with orangefs.rst
in Linux Next. I wasn't sure what to do, so I asked,
and Jonathan Corbet said not to worry about it and
just to report it to Linus.
