The s3c2410_gpio* calls are obsolete and have been scheduled for
removal since several kernel releases. Remove them and use common
gpiolib API instead.
This patch also adds gpio_request/gpio_free call for API corectness.
It is a prerequisite for removal of the S3C24XX SoC specific
arch/arm/plat-samsung/include/gpio-fns.h header.
Tested on Micro2440-SDK.

Inside the error handling in lp5523_init_led(), there is a place that
calls to led_classdev_unregister(). When we unregister the LED drivers,
it tries to set the brightness to OFF. In this driver setting the
brightness is done through a work queue and the work queue hasn't been
initialized yet.
The result is that we trigger a WARN_ON() in the __queue_work().
The fix is to move the INIT_WORK() in front of the call to
lp5523_init_led().

Fix led_trigger_event() to use led_set_brightness() instead of
__led_set_brightness(), so that any pending blink timer is stopped before
setting the new brightness value. Without this fix LED status may be
overridden by a pending timer.
This allows a trigger to use a mix of led_trigger_event(),
led_trigger_blink() and led_trigger_blink_oneshot() without races.

Rename leds external interface led_brightness_set() to led_set_brightness().
This is the second phase of the change to reduce confusion between the
leds internal and external interfaces that set brightness. With this change,
now the external interface is led_set_brightness(). The first phase renamed
the internal interface led_set_brightness() to __led_set_brightness().
There are no changes to the interface implementations.

Move led_stop_software_blink() code into led_brightness_set() to ensure
software blink timer is stopped and cleared when changing trigger.
Also use led_set_brightness() instead of calling
led_cdev->brightness_set() directly to keep led_cdev->brightness
consistent with current LED status.
This ensure proper cleaning when changing triggers, as without this fix
a LED may be turned off while leaving it's led_cdev->brightness = 1,
leading to an erratic software-blink behaviour.
The problem was easy to reproduce by changing the trigger from "timer"
to "oneshot".

Convert ledtrig-ide-disk code to use the generic API for one-shot LED
blinking.
This patch changes slightly the behaviour of the trigger, as while the
original version kept the LED on under heavy activity, the new one keeps
a constant on-off blink at 1 / (2 * BLINK_DELAY) Hz.

Add two new functions, led_blink_set_oneshot and
led_trigger_blink_oneshot, to be used by triggers for one-shot blink of
led devices.
This is implemented extending the existing software-blink code, and uses
the same timer and handler function.
The behavior of the code is to do a blink-on, blink-off sequence when
the function is called, ignoring other calls until the sequence is
completed so that the leds keep blinking at constant rate if the
functions are called repeatedly.
This is meant to be used by drivers which needs to trigger on sporadic
event, but doesn't have clear busy/idle trigger points.
After the blink sequence the led remains off. This behavior can be
inverted setting the "invert" argument, which blink the led off, than on
and leave the led on after the sequence.

This adds support for three new SoC types:
* The mvebu platform includes Marvell's Armada XP and Armada 370 chips,
made by the mvebu business unit inside of Marvell. Since the same
group also made the older but similar platforms we call "orion5x",
"kirkwood", "mv78xx0" and "dove", we plan to move all of them into
the mach-mvebu directory in the future.
* socfpga is Altera's platform based on Cortex-A9 cores and a lot of
FPGA space. This is similar to the Xilinx zynq platform we already
support. The code is particularly clean, which is helped by the fact
that the hardware doesn't do much besides the parts that are
expected to get added in the FPGA.
* The OMAP subarchitecture gains support for the latest generation,
the OMAP5 based on the new Cortex-A15 core. Support is rather
rudimentary for now, but will be extended in the future.

"This one is *big* and changes quite a few things around VFS. What's in there:
- the first of two really major architecture changes - death to open
intents.
The former is finally there; it was very long in making, but with
Miklos getting through really hard and messy final push in
fs/namei.c, we finally have it. Unlike his variant, this one
doesn't introduce struct opendata; what we have instead is
->atomic_open() taking preallocated struct file * and passing
everything via its fields.
Instead of returning struct file *, it returns -E... on error, 0
on success and 1 in "deal with it yourself" case (e.g. symlink
found on server, etc.).
See comments before fs/namei.c:atomic_open(). That made a lot of
goodies finally possible and quite a few are in that pile:
->lookup(), ->d_revalidate() and ->create() do not get struct
nameidata * anymore; ->lookup() and ->d_revalidate() get lookup
flags instead, ->create() gets "do we want it exclusive" flag.
With the introduction of new helper (kern_path_locked()) we are rid
of all struct nameidata instances outside of fs/namei.c; it's still
visible in namei.h, but not for long. Come the next cycle,
declaration will move either to fs/internal.h or to fs/namei.c

- The second major change: behaviour of final fput(). Now we have
__fput() done without any locks held by caller *and* not from deep
in call stack.
That obviously lifts a lot of constraints on the locking in there.
Moreover, it's legal now to call fput() from atomic contexts (which
has immediately simplified life for aio.c). We also don't need
anti-recursion logics in __scm_destroy() anymore.
There is a price, though - the damn thing has become partially
asynchronous. For fput() from normal process we are guaranteed
that pending __fput() will be done before the caller returns to
userland, exits or gets stopped for ptrace.
For kernel threads and atomic contexts it's done via
schedule_work(), so theoretically we might need a way to make sure
it's finished; so far only one such place had been found, but there
might be more.
There's flush_delayed_fput() (do all pending __fput()) and there's
__fput_sync() (fput() analog doing __fput() immediately). I hope
we won't need them often; see warnings in fs/file_table.c for

- large part of "death to sync_supers()" work from Artem; the only
bits missing here are exofs and ext4 ones. As far as I understand,
those are going via the exofs and ext4 trees resp.; once they are

We are currently using an inferior or equal operator for comparing
the transfer frequency with the clock frequency table. Because of
this, we always end up selecting 20Mhz as a frequency, due to the
inequality transfer hz <= 20 Mhz being always true. Fix this by
reversing the inequality, which is how the comparison should be done.

Some motherboards like the Advantech ARK3400 documentation
use a non-inverted GPIO pin. We fix this by assuming that
the BIOS will set the Polarity bit for the GPIO correctly
at startup and we keep the Bit-setting intact when we start
and stop the watchdog.

OMAP watchdog driver is adapted to runtime PM like a general device
driver but it is not appropriate. It is causing couple of functional
issues.
1. On OMAP4 SYSCLK can't be gated, because of issue with WDTIMER2 module,
which constantly stays in "in transition" state. Value of register
CM_WKUP_WDTIMER2_CLKCTRL is always 0x00010000 in this case.
Issue occurs immediately after first idle, when hwmod framework tries
to disable WDTIMER2 functional clock - "wd_timer2_fck". After this
module falls to "in transition" state, and SYSCLK gating is blocked.
2. Due to runtime PM, watchdog timer may be completely disabled.
In current code base watchdog timer is not disabled only because of
issue 1. Otherwise state of WDTIMER2 module will be "Disabled", and there
will be no interrupts from omap_wdt. In other words watchdog will not
work at all.
Watchdong is a special IP and it should not be disabled otherwise
purpose of it itself is defeated. Watchdog functional clock should
never be disabled. This patch updates the runtime PM handling in
driver so that runtime PM is limited only during probe/shutdown
and suspend/resume.

The Jetway JNF99 motherboard features a F71869 SuperIO chip, but its
watchdog chipset ID appears to be 1007 (as opposed to 0814). Some testing
confirmed it behaves the exact same as 0814. So add this chipset ID to the
module's ID list so that the Fintek watchdog driver can correctly identify
and access it.

The 57840 boards come in two flavours: 2 x 20G and 4 x 10G.
To better differentiate between the two flavours, a separate device ID
was assigned to each.
The silicon default value is still the currently supported 57840 device ID
(0x168d), and since a user can damage the nvram (e.g., 'ethtool -E')
the driver will still support this device ID to allow the user to amend the
nvram back into a supported configuration.
Notice this patch contains lines longer than 80 characters (strings).

The sdio controller on dove doesn't have a bit to indicate
high-speed. With the quirk set it fixes accessing high-speed
sdcards.

If platform_get_resource_by_name() fails, driver probe is aborted an
should return an error so the driver is not bound to the device.
However, in the current error path of platform_get_resource_by_name(),
probe returns zero since the return value (ret) is not properly set.
With a zero return value, the driver core assumes probe was successful
and will bind the driver to the device.
Fix this by ensuring that probe returns an error code in this failure
path.

The '#include <mach/mux.h>' line in davinci_emac.c
causes a compile error because that header file
isn't found. It turns out that the #include isn't
needed because the driver isn't (and shoudn't be)
touching the mux anyway, so remove it.

Add a call to mmc_set_signal_voltage() to set signal voltage to 3.3v in
mmc_power_up so that we do not need to touch signal voltage setting in
mmc/sd/sdio init functions and rescan function.
For mmc/sd cards, when doing a suspend/resume cycle, consider the unsafe
resume case, the card will lose its power and when powered on again, we
will set signal voltage to 3.3v in mmc_power_up before its resume function
gets called, which will re-init the card.
And for sdio cards, when doing a suspend/resume cycle, consider the unsafe
resume case, the card will either lose its power or not depending on if it
wants to wakeup the host. If power is not maintained, it is the same case as
mmc/sd cards. If power is maintained, mmc_power_up will not be called and
the card's signal voltage will remain at the last setting.

Host has different current capabilities at different voltages, we need
to record these settings seperately. The defined voltages are 1.8/3.0/3.3.
For other voltages, we do not touch current limit setting.
Before we set the current limit for the sd card, find out the host's
operating voltage first and then find out the current capabilities of
the host at that voltage to set the current limit.

Power needs to be removed from the card when switching to 1.8v fails.
If a regulator is used to control vmmc we need to turn the
regulator off and then back on otherwise power will not be
removed from the card.

Setting host->data to NULL is incorrect sequence in STATE_SENDING_STOP
state of FSM: This early setting leads to the skip of dma_unmap_sg()
in atmci_dma_cleanup() which is a bug.

The Marvell CaFe is now marked as having bad card detection to fix
a problem during system resume.
Now on the OLPC XO-1 we are facing the issue that the card is marked
as logically unremovable (via MMC_UNSAFE_RESUME), which means that
mmc_card_is_removable considers the card non-removable. The existing
code logic decides not to poll for card presence in this case, and
card detection is also disabled because of the quirk being set.
This means that no SD cards are detected when inserted after boot.
Refine the logic to enable card presence polling in the case when
a card is logically unremovable, only avoiding the poll in the case
when the card is physically non-removable (denoted with
MMC_CAP_NONREMOVABLE).

Add a new flag of SDHCI_USING_RETUNING_TIMER to represent if the host
is using a retuning timer for the card inserted.
This flag is set when the host does tuning the first time for the card
and the host's retuning mode is 1. This flag is used afterwards whenever
needs to decide if the host is currently using a retuning timer.
This flag is cleared when the card is removed in sdhci_reinit.
The set/clear of the flag and the start/stop of the retuning timer is
associated with the card's init/remove time, so there is no need to
touch it when the host is to be removed as at that time the card should
have already been removed.

When debugging one bad issue, got lots of pr_warning messages
"queuing unknown CIS tuple" which caused a printk storm and
flooded the console.
This patch changes the pr_warning to use pr_warn_ratelimited.

In mmc_read_switch, just do a one time mode 0 switch command to get the
support bits information, no need to do multiple times as the support
bits do not change with different arguments.
And no need to check current limit support bits, as these bits are
fixed according to the signal voltage. If the signal voltage is 1.8V,
the support bits would be 0xf and if the signal voltage is 3.3V, the
support bits would be 0x01. We will check host's ability to set the
current limit.

Some of the host settings are affected by different cards inserted, e.g.
when an UHS-I card is inserted, the SDHCI_NEEDS_RETUING flag might be
set when the tuning timer expired and host's max_blk_count will be
reduced to make sure the data transfer for a command does not exceed 4MiB
to meet the retuning mode 1's requirement.
When the card is removed, we should restore the original setting of the
host since we can't be sure the next card being inserted will still be
an UHS-I card that needs tuning. The original setting include its
max_blk_count and no set of the flag of SDHCI_NEEDS_RETUNING.

For SD hosts using retuning mode 1, when retuning timer expired, it will
need to do retuning in sdhci_request before processing the actual
request. But the retuning command is fixed: cmd19 for SD card and cmd21
for eMMC card, so we can't use the original request's command to do the
tuning.
And since the tuning command depends on the card type attached to the
host, we will need to know the card type to use the correct tuning
command.

At http://dev.laptop.org/ticket/11980 we have determined that the
Marvell CaFe SDHCI controller reports bad card presence during
resume. It reports that no card is present even when it is.
This is a regression -- resume worked back around 2.6.37.
Around 400ms after resuming, a "card inserted" interrupt is
generated, at which point it starts reporting presence.
Work around this hardware oddity by setting the
SDHCI_QUIRK_BROKEN_CARD_DETECTION flag.

For most error conditions sdhci_add_host() will print a diagnostic
message indicating why it failed but there are a few cases where this
does not happen. Add error messages in these cases to aid diagnosis.

The s3c2410_gpio* calls are obsolete and have been scheduled for
removal since several kernel releases. Remove them and use common
gpiolib API.
This patch is a prerequisite for removal of the S3C24XX SoC specific
arch/arm/plat-samsung/include/gpio-fns.h header.
Tested on Micro2440-SDK.

Currently only the capability_0 register can be set if
SDHCI_QUIRK_MISSING_CAPS is defined. This is a problem when
the capability_1 register also needs changing. Use the quirk
SDHCI_QUIRK_MISSING_CAPS to allow both registers to be set.
Redefining caps[1] is useful when the board design does not
support 1.8v vccq so UHS modes are not available. The code that
calls sdhci_add_host can then detect this condition and adjust
the caps so the UHS mode will not be attempted on UHS cards.

Fix race condition in several network drivers when reading stats on 32bit
UP architectures. These drivers update their stats in a BH context and
therefore should use u64_stats_fetch_begin_bh/u64_stats_fetch_retry_bh
instead of u64_stats_fetch_begin/u64_stats_fetch_retry when reading the
stats.

Not all sensors in the T range are useful temperatures. This patch
creates a subset of sensors to be exported to userland, excluding the
unknown types.

There are many userland reports of sensors with unreasonably small and
large temperatures. There seem to be several reasons for this:
Firstly, the major sensor type (sp78) is actually a signed number.
This explains why some sensors show very small or large values - they
are in fact all small, but of different sign.
Secondly, the other sensor type (1-hex) is not properly understood; it
may be that it is not a temperature after all.
Thirdly, some sensors are differential in nature, showing changes over
time rather than absolute numbers. This explains why those values are
small and of varying sign.
This patch interprets the sp78 type as signed short, but keeps the
original scaling. For other types, -EINVAL is returned, since the
nature of those sensors is unknown.

The following compile warning may be seen if the driver is compiled with
-Wuninitialized:

While this is a false positive, it is annoying in nightly builds, and may help
to conceal real problems. The current code is quite tricky, and and it is easy
to rearrage the code to make the warning disappear. So fix it.

The 2012 series of MacBooks have a faster SMC, and the current driver
timings do not work at all. Tests show that decreasing the minimum
wait time, from 64 us to 16 us, works well. Since this is still larger
than the original minimum of 10 us used before 2008, there is nothing
inherently problematic with changing it. The fail frequency on older
machines seems to increase slightly, but not enough to be noticeable.
Tested on MBA11, MBA31, MBA5,2, MBP9,2.

later tested by janhouse (bbs.archlinux.org).

Expression with two integer variables is calculated as integer before it is
converted to u64. This may result in an integer overflow. Fix by declaring
trip point variables as s64 instead of int.

This is a new driver for the Honeywell Humidicon HIH-6130/HIH-6131 humidity sensor.
The driver is based on the existing Sensiron sht21 driver with the necessary changes
to the probe, update_measurements and conversion functions necessary to use the
Honeywell sensors.
There's no difference between the 6130 & 6131 other than the 6131 having an external
condensation filter attached.

Fix Coverity warning: Calling strncpy with a maximum size argument of 20 bytes
on destination array "data->name" of size 20 bytes might leave the destination
string unterminated.
Fix by replacing strncpy() with strlcpy() and by using sizeof() to determine
the maximum string length.

The DA9052 PMIC provides an Analogue to Digital Converter with 10 bits
resolution and 10 channels.
This patch monitors the DA9052 PMIC's ADC channels mostly for battery
parameters like battery temperature, junction temperature, battery
current etc.
This patch is functionally tested on Samsung SMDKV6410

Expression with two unsigned integer variables is calculated as unsigned integer
before it is converted to u64. This may result in an integer overflow.
Fix by typecasting the left operand to u64 before performing the left shift.
This patch addresses Coverity #402320: Unintentional integer overflow.

There was a previous patch to resolve issue with 82576 losing PHY setting
after PHY power down. However that previous implementation triggered speed
mismatch and occasional link lost. Now, this patch resolves both initial
PHY setting and speed mismatch issues.

This change makes it so that we can use 1TC DCB in the case of MSI and
legacy interrupts. The advantage to this is that it allows us to fully
support FCoE w/ DCB instead of having to drop to link flow control only
when using these interrupt modes.

Do RAR entry accounting correctly so that errors are reported and
promisc mode is set correctly when the number of entries exceeds
the hardware limits.
This can happen with many macvlan devices attached to the PF or
by adding many fdb entries in SR-IOV modes.
Also this includes a small refactor to fdb_add() to avoid having so
many nested if/else statements after adding a check for the number
or RAR entries.
The max entries for the PF is currently 16 we allow 15 additional
entries to account for the defined MAC.

This change makes it so the function ixgbe_dcb_get_tc_from_up will use the
num_tcs.pg_tcs to determine the starting value for determining a traffic
class based on a user priority. The main motivation for this change is to
address possible bad configurations in which more TCs worth of data are
populated then there are actual TCs. By limiting this value we can at
least make certain we are not providing a map with values that are out of
range.
As a result any user priorities that are setup in the configuration with a
traffic class mapping higher than what the hardware supports will be
reported as being on TC 0.
