f5f7ba25de ath6kl: handle background(BK) stream properly on htc mbox layer
When a STA sends huge BK QoS data frame first and then sends BE/VI/VO
QoS data frame, the corresponding throughput becomes much lower than
that without sends BK QoS data frame before.

The root cause is that when station send BK stream, the tx credits of
BK stream don't return back to higher priority QoS stream such as BE,
VI, and VO stream. This patch will handle BK stream properly, when
there is higher priority QoS stream, it will seek tx credits from BK
stream properly.

954e6ce54c ath6kl: Fix bss filter setting while scanning
bss filter is configured to allow the frames from all the bss other
than the currenly connected one, this is done when a scan is requested
in connected state. There is no reason to filter out the currently
connected bss, configure the filter to allow all the bss. This would
fix the reporting of stale rssi of the current bss while scanning.

6251d8012d ath6kl: Multicast filter support in wow suspend and non-suspend
This patch enables all multicast packets in non suspend mode
and enable multicast filtering in wow suspend mode. This also
fixes a bug in multicast where the driver assumed disable
multicast-all command disabled/filtered all multicast
packets, which was wrong assumption, because firmware will
apply the programmed filter.

Multicast requirements
 - Enable forward all multicast packets(no filtering) in
      non suspend mode.
 - Enable multicast filtering in wow suspend mode for both
      AP and CLIENT.

75acd5a82a ath9k: fix TX power reporting on AR9003 chips
The current code unconditionally reads the target
power values for all modes from the EEPROM. However
In 'ar9003_hw_set_power_per_rate_table' the regulatory
caps are applied only on a mode specific subset of the
power values.

The reported TX power level is calculated from the
maximum of the power values. Because some of these
values are uncapped in certain cases, the reported
TX power will be wrong.

On the older chipset, we don't have such problems
because only the mode specific subset of the power
levels are retrieved from the EEPROM on those. Do
the same for the AR9003 chips to fix the issue.

83722bd4ae ath9k: fix tx power settings for AR9287
The 'ath9k_hw_update_regulatory_maxpower'
helper function has been introduced by
commit a55f858852
(ath9k_hw: Cleanup TX power calculation for AR9287).

Updating of the max_power_level value has been moved
into the helper function in that change, however the
removed code from 'ath9k_hw_ar9287_set_txpower' has
not been replaced with a call of the new helper
function.

Due to that missing call, retrieving tx power for 2x2
and 3x3 chainmask is not handled properly. During the
calculation of the tx power for 2x2 and 3x3 chainmasks
the values are reduced. Those reductions must be
compensated during retrieving.

Fix this by adding the missing call of the helper
function.

64ea57d0c7 ath9k: add an extra boolean parameter to ath9k_hw_apply_txpower
In order to unifying regulatory limit handling
commit ca2c68cc7b
(ath9k_hw: clean up tx power handling) introduced
a new helper function 'ath9k_hw_apply_txpower',
and the direct calls of 'ah->eep_ops->set_txpower'
has been replaced by a call of the helper function.

This caused a change in the behaviour of the
'ath9k_hw_set_txpowerlimit' function. The purpose
of that function is to calculate and store the
rate txpower table and the regulatory limit without
touching the hardware registers. Before the commit,
the 'test' parameter of the function was passed to
the 'ah->eep_ops->set_txpower'. Now the calling of
the 'set_txpower' function happens indirectly through
'ath9k_hw_apply_txpower', so the 'test' argument of
the 'set_txpower' is always 'false'.

This patch restores the original behaviour of
'ath9k_hw_set_txpowerlimit' by adding a new
argument to 'ath9k_hw_apply_txpower.'

3b8ffc6a22 ath6kl: Configure probed SSID list consistently
Set max_scan_ssids and max_sched_scan_ssids to same value. These use the

Clear probed SSID entries that are not used. This was already done for

cases to avoid leaving bogus entries.

In addition, share the same function for setting the probed SSIDs for

(ANY_SSID_FLAG) and changes the scan path to use probed SSID index
consistently (i.e., start with 0 similarly to sched_scan; firmware

This adds a DFS pattern detector to ath9k. It is fed with pulse events
by the radar pulse detector and reports in place whether a pattern
was detected. On detection, the result is reported as radar event to
the DFS management component in the upper layer.

Currently the ETSI DFS domain is supported with detector lines for
the patterns defined by EN-301-893 v1.5.1. Support for FCC and JP
will be added gradually.

To include the pattern detector, ath9k must be built with support

01e189182d ath9k: recover ar9380 chips from rare stuck state
In the experiment with Azimuth ADEPT-n testbed where the APs transmit
power was reduced to 25% and the signal strength was futher attenuated

beacon losses and the following issue were observed.

* rx clear is stuck at low for more than 300ms

This patch triggers the hang detection logic that recovers the chip

54da20d83f ath9k_hw: improve ANI processing and rx desensitizing parameters
This patch improves ANI operations by switching among the immunity
levels based on PHY errors and beacon rssi which will adjust receiver
desensitizing parameters. The changes are

* Configure the Weak Signal Detection based on current immunity value.
* At highest OFDM immunity level poor performance was observed with
strong interference. By tuning the FIR step and spur immunity levels
and not changing any weak signal detection thresholds at any level
  helped to improve the performance.
* ANI took long time to recover back to lower immunity levels on heavy
data load. As the listen time got reset to zero before reaching to
the 5x of aniperiod, the immunity level is not lowering back even

d97c121bb2 ath6kl: Fix 4-way handshake failure in AP and P2P GO mode
RSN capability field of RSN IE which is generated (which is what really

234e340582 simple_open: automatically convert to simple_open()
Many users of debugfs copy the implementation of default_open() when
they want to support a custom read/write function op. This leads to a
proliferation of the default_open() implementation across the entire

Now that the common implementation has been consolidated into libfs we
can replace all the users of this function with simple_open().

This replacement was done with the following semantic patch:

5b35dff0bb ath6kl: Store scan request info in-advance before sending SCAN request
In current code, Scan request info is recorded in vif->scan_req
after sending SCAN request to the firmware in ath6kl_cfg80211_scan().

In some corner cases, firmware sends SCAN_COMPLETE event immediately
when it receives SCAN request, which internally executes scan
complete event handler ath6kl_cfg80211_scan_complete_event() first.
So, Scan completion handler will a get a chance to executed even
before storing scan request info in ath6kl_cfg80211_scan().

Scan completion handler never report SCAN_COMPLETE event to
cfg80211 if scan request info(vif->scan_req) is NULL. This leads
to scan failure issue ("Device or resource busy error") during
next SCAN request from the user space. This patch ensures that scan
request info is stored before sending SCAN request.

195ca3b122 ath9k: reduce listen time period
When we have downlink traffic alone and the station is going thru
bgscan, the client is out of operating channel for around 1000ms which
is too long. The mac80211 decides when to switch back to oper channel
based on tx queue, bad latency and listen time. As the station does not
have tx traffic, the bgscan can easily affect downlink throughput. By
reducing the listen time, it helps the associated AP to retain the
downstream rate.

c86e4f44f1 ath6kl: handle probe response from P2P device in P2P GO mode
When the device is in P2P GO mode and in listen state, the correct behavior is
to see two different probe response frames - one from P2P device and the other
from GO. wpa_supplicant uses the same mechanism to send the frame in both cases
(ath6kl_mgmt_tx). For GO probe response, ath6kl needs to call
ath6kl_send_go_probe_resp (this will add only WSC/P2P IEs and the rest of the
IEs are filled in by the firmware). That was done based on the nw_type ==
AP_NETWORK which would work if P2P Device role were in a separate netdev. When
P2P Device and GO use the same netdev, ath6kl needs to use the special GO probe
response case only if SSID is longer than P2P wildcard SSID.

ce8fdf6ef6 ath9k_hw: clean up tx completion interrupt handling
TXQ_FLAG_TXOKINT_ENABLE and TXQ_FLAG_TXERRINT_ENABLE are always set and
used together, and they share the same bitmask in enum ath9k_tx_queue_flags.
Simplify the code that tests for these flags.

d47a61aa22 ath9k: Fix multi-VIF BSS handling
mac80211 provides short preamble information and ERP protection
information on a per-BSS basis, which can be used. Remove flags
stored in the driver, which was incorrect since they were being used
in a global manner.
