0200161834 hwrng: Turn HW_RANDOM into a menuconfig
This makes configuration more convenient IMHO, and avoids having to
repeat the dependency on HW_RANDOM for every single driver.

dc64ef0087 hwrng: Move UML_RANDOM at the last position
UML_RANDOM is the only hardware random number generator option which
does not depend on HW_RANDOM. Having it in the middle of the other
options breaks the alignment in "make menuconfig". Move it at the last
position to avoid that.

eb4a5346e7 hwrng: bcm2835 - fix oops when rng h/w is accessed during registration
Commit "d9e7972 hwrng: add randomness to system from rng sources"
exposed a bug in the bcm2835-rng driver resulting in boot failure
on Raspberry Pi due to the following oops:

[ 28.261523] BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 23s! [swapper:1]
[ 28.271058]
[ 28.275958] CPU: 0 PID: 1 Comm: swapper Not tainted 3.14.0+ #11
[ 28.285374] task: db480000 ti: db484000 task.ti: db484000
[ 28.294279] PC is at bcm2835_rng_read+0x28/0x48
[ 28.302276] LR is at hwrng_register+0x1a8/0x238
.
.
.

The RNG h/w is not completely initialized and enabled before
hwrng_register() is called and so the bcm2835_rng_read() fails.
Fix this by making the warmup/enable writes before registering
the RNG source with the hwrng core.

cbda94e039 ARM: SoC: driver changes
These changes are mostly for ARM specific device drivers that either
don't have an upstream maintainer, or that had the maintainer ask
us to pick up the changes to avoid conflicts. A large chunk of this
are clock drivers (bcm281xx, exynos, versatile, shmobile), aside from
that, reset controllers for STi as well as a large rework of the
Marvell Orion/EBU watchdog driver are notable.

d167b6e1fb hwrng: cleanup in hwrng_register()
My static checker complains that:

	drivers/char/hw_random/core.c:341 hwrng_register()
warn: we tested 'old_rng' before and it was 'false'

The problem is that sometimes we test "if (!old_rng)" and sometimes we
test "if (must_register_misc)". The static checker knows they are
equivalent but a human being reading the code could easily be confused.

I have simplified the code by removing the "must_register_misc" variable
and I have removed the redundant check on "if (!old_rng)".

c11eede69b powerpc: add missing explicit OF includes for ppc
Commit b5b4bb3f6a (of: only include prom.h on sparc) removed implicit
includes of of_*.h headers by powerpc's prom.h. Some components were
missed in initial clean-up patch, so add the necessary includes to fix
powerpc builds.

66548e4058 hwrng: Add a driver for the hwrng found in power7+ systems
Add a driver for the hwrng found in power7+ systems, based on the
existing code for the arch_get_random_long() hook.

We only register a single instance of the driver, not one per device,
because we use the existing per_cpu array of devices in the arch code.
This means we always read from the "closest" device, avoiding inter-chip

f7f154f124 hw_random: make buffer usable in scatterlist.
virtio_rng feeds the randomness buffer handed by the core directly
into the scatterlist, since commit bb347d9807.

However, if CONFIG_HW_RANDOM=m, the static buffer isn't a linear address
(at least on most archs). We could fix this in virtio_rng, but it's actually
far easier to just do it in the core as virtio_rng would have to allocate
a buffer every time (it doesn't know how much the core will want to read).

6a5971d8fe Char/Misc driver merge for 3.8-rc1
Here is the "big" char/misc driver patches for 3.8-rc1. I'm starting to
put random driver subsystems that I had previously sent you through the
driver-core tree in this tree, as it makes more sense to do so.

Nothing major here, the various __dev* removals, some mei driver
updates, and other random driver-specific things from the different
 maintainers and developers.

Note, some MFD drivers got added through this tree, and they are also
coming in through the "real" MFD tree as well, due to some major
mis-communication between me and the different developers. If you have
any merge conflicts, take the ones from the MFD tree, not these ones,
 sorry about that.

694e33a7f4 ARM: plat-nomadik: move MTU, kill plat-nomadik
This moves the MTU timer driver from arch/arm/plat-nomadik
to drivers/clocksource and moves the header file to the
platform_data directory.

As this moves the last file being compiled to an object out
of arch/arm/plat-nomadik, we have to "turn off the light"
and delete the plat-nomadik directory, because it is not
allowed to have an empty Makefile in a plat-* directory.
This is probably also a desired side effect of depopulating
the arch/arm directory of drivers. Luckily we have just
deleted all the <plat/*> include files prior to this so
by moving the last one we may delete the directory.

After this all the Ux500 and Nomadik device drivers live
outside of the arch/arm hierarchy.

27615a97b2 ARM: OMAP: Trivial driver changes to remove include plat/cpu.h
Drivers should not use cpu_is_omap or cpu_class_is_omap macros,
they should be private to the platform init code. And we'll be
removing plat/cpu.h and only have a private soc.h for the
arch/arm/*omap* code.

This patch is intended as preparation for the core omap changes
and removes the need to include plat/cpu.h from several drivers.
This is needed for the ARM common zImage support.

These changes are OK to do because:

- omap-rng.c does not need plat/cpu.h

- omap-aes.c and omap-sham.c get the proper platform_data
passed to them so they don't need extra checks in the driver

- omap-dma.c and omap-pcm.c can test the arch locally as
omap1 and omap2 cannot be compiled together because of
  conflicting compiler flags

5e090ed7af ARM: soc: late platform updates
This branch contains updates to OMAP and Marvell platforms (kirkwood,
dove, mvebu) that came in after we had done the big multiplatform merges,
so they were kept separate from the rest, and not separated into the
 traditional topics of cleanup/driver/platform features.

 For OMAP, the updates are:
 - Runtime PM conversions for the GPMC and RNG IP blocks
 - Preparation patches for the OMAP common clock framework conversion
 - clkdev alias additions required by other drivers
 - Performance Monitoring Unit (PMU) support for OMAP2, 3, and non-4430 OMAP4
 - OMAP hwmod code and data improvements
 - Preparation patches for the IOMMU runtime PM conversion
 - Preparation patches for OMAP4 full-chip retention support

 For Kirkwood/Dove/mvebu:

 - New driver for "address decoder controller" for mvebu, which
is a piece of hardware that configures addressable devices and
peripherals. First user is the boot rom aperture on armada XP since
it is needed for SMP support.
 - New device tree bindings for peripherals such as gpio-fan, iconnect
nand, mv_cesa and the above address decoder controller.
 - Some defconfig updates, mostly to enable new DT boards and a few drivers.
 - New drivers using the pincontrol subsystem for dove, kirkwood and mvebu
 - New clean gpio driver for mvebu

fe47c58ba8 hwrng: OMAP: remove SoC restrictions from driver registration
Remove the SoC restriction code from the OMAP RNG driver. The
integration code in arch/arm/*omap* should handle this. The device
shouldn't be created if it doesn't exist on the currently-booted SoC.

This allows us to remove some OMAP-specific cpu_is_omap*() calls from
the driver. Also, if other OMAP chips have RNGs that can be used
by Linux, there will be no need to modify the driver.

59596df640 omap-rng: fix use of SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS
omap_rng_suspend and omap_rng_resume are unused if CONFIG_PM is enabled
but CONFIG_PM_SLEEP is disabled. I found this while building all defconfig
files on ARM. It's not clear to me if this is the right solution, but
at least it makes the code consistent again.

Without this patch, building omap1_defconfig results in:

drivers/char/hw_random/omap-rng.c:165:12: warning: 'omap_rng_suspend' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]
drivers/char/hw_random/omap-rng.c:171:12: warning: 'omap_rng_resume' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]

Use wait_for_completion_killable() instead of wait_for_completion() when
waiting for the host to send us entropy. Without this,

  # cat /dev/hwrng

just hangs.
