ef54569966 drm/ast: remove duplicate assignment of ast_crtc_funcs member

f0adbc382b drm/ast: Allocate initial CRTC state of the correct size
The ast driver inherits from DRM's CRTC state, but still uses the atomic
helper for struct drm_crtc_funcs.reset, drm_atomic_helper_crtc_reset().

The helper only allocates enough memory for the core CRTC state. That
results in an out-ouf-bounds access when duplicating the initial CRTC
state. Simplified backtrace shown below:

Devices with low amount of dedicated video memory may not be able
to use all possible display modes, as the framebuffers may not fit
into VRAM. The new helper function drm_vram_helper_mode_valid()
implements a simple test to sort out all display modes that can
not be used in any case. Drivers should call this function from
struct drm_mode_config_funcs.mode_valid.

The functionality was originally implemented by the ast driver, which
is being converted as well.

CRTC modesetting depends on the new state of the CRTC and the primary
plane's framebuffer. The bugfix moves the modesetting code into the
CRTC's atomic_flush() function, where it is protected from the plane's
framebuffer being NULL.

The CRTC's atomic-enable function, which is the modesetting's original
location, still contains DPMS state handling. It's exactly the inverse
of the atomic-disable function.

2f5989fcd1 drm/ast: Move cursor update code to ast_show_cursor()
A call to ast's show-cursor function now receives the cursor image
and updates the buffer. The change splits off image update and
base-address update into separate functions.

Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie:
 "This is the main pull request for 5.4-rc1 merge window. I don't think
  there is anything outstanding so next week should just be fixes, but
  we'll see if I missed anything. I landed some fixes earlier in the
  week but got delayed writing summary and sending it out, due to a mix
  of sick kid and jetlag!

  There are some fixes pending, but I'd rather get the main merge out of
  the way instead of delaying it longer.

  It's also pretty large in commit count and new amd header file size.
  The largest thing is four new amdgpu products (navi12/14, arcturus and
  renoir APU support).

  Otherwise it's pretty much lots of work across the board, i915 has
  started landing tigerlake support, lots of icelake fixes and lots of
  locking reworking for future gpu support, lots of header file rework
  (drmP.h is nearly gone), some old legacy hacks (DRM_WAIT_ON) have been

a92462d6bf drm/connector: Share with non-atomic drivers the function to get the single encoder
This 3 non-atomic drivers all have the same function getting the
only encoder available in the connector, also atomic drivers have
this fallback. So moving it a common place and sharing between atomic

While at it I also removed the mention of
drm_atomic_helper_best_encoder() that was renamed in
commit 297e30b5d9 ("drm/atomic-helper: Unexport
drm_atomic_helper_best_encoder").

b0e40e0805 drm/vram: Have VRAM MM call GEM VRAM functions directly
VRAM MM and GEM VRAM buffer objects are only used with each other;

6b5ce4a1fb drm/vram: Move VRAM memory manager to GEM VRAM implementation
The separation between GEM VRAM objects and the memory manager is
artificial, as they are only used with each other. Copying both

the code.

This patch only moves code without functional changes.
