2863934e23 rtc: allow compilation of sun6i RTC for all sunxi SoCs
At the moment the "sun6i" RTC drivers depends on having two specific
SoC families selected.
The Allwinner A64 SoC has the same RTC, so extend the Kconfig option
to allow inclusion of the driver for all Allwinner SoCs.

68298c2dac rtc: add driver for RX6110SA real time clock
The RX6110 comes in two different variants: SPI and I2C.
This driver only supports the SPI variant.

If the need ever arises to also support the I2C variant, this driver
could easily be refactored to support both cases.

04d3ba70a3 rtc: mt6397: add IRQ domain dependency
The mt6397 RTC driver can be built either when the MFD_MT6397 driver
is enabled (which selects IRQ_DOMAIN), or when compile testing.
The latter however fails without IRQ domains:

drivers/rtc/rtc-mt6397.c: In function 'mtk_rtc_probe':
drivers/rtc/rtc-mt6397.c:326:13: error: implicit declaration of function 'irq_create_mapping' [-Werror=implicit-function-declaration]
  rtc->irq = irq_create_mapping(mt6397_chip->irq_domain, res->start);

This adds an explicit dependency for the COMPILE_TEST case.

3cdf4ad963 rtc: pxa: convert to use shared sa1100 functions
Currently, the rtc-sa1100 and rtc-pxa drivers co-exist as rtc-pxa has a
superset of functionality. Having 2 drivers sharing the same memory
resource is not allowed by the driver model if resources are properly
declared. This problem was avoided by not adding memory resources to the
SA1100 RTC driver, but that prevents clean-up of the SA1100 driver.

This commit converts the PXA RTC to use the exported SA1100 RTC
functions. Now the sa1100-rtc and pxa-rtc devices are mutually
exclusive, so we must remove the sa1100-rtc from pxa27x and pxa3xx.

80ca3277bc rtc: da9063: Add DA9062 RTC capability to DA9063 RTC driver
Add DA9062 RTC support into the existing DA9063 RTC driver component by
using generic access tables for common register and bit mask definitions.

The following change will add generic register and bit mask support to the
DA9063 RTC. The changes are slightly complicated by requiring support for
three register sets: DA9063-AD, DA9063-BB and DA9062-AA.

The following alterations have been made to the DA9063 RTC:

- Addition of a da9063_compatible_rtc_regmap structure to hold all generic
registers and bitmasks for this type of RTC component.
- A re-write of struct da9063 to use pointers for regmap and compatible
  registers/masks definitions
- Addition of a of_device_id table for DA9063 and DA9062 defaults
- Refactoring functions to use struct da9063_compatible_rtc accesses to
generic registers/masks instead of using defines from registers.h
- Re-work of da9063_rtc_probe() to use of_match_node() and dev_get_regmap()
to provide initialisation of generic registers and masks and access to
  regmap

9c5150b31b rtc: NTP: Add CONFIG_RTC_SYSTOHC_DEVICE for NTP synchronization
Currently, CONFIG_RTC_SYSTOHC uses CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS_DEVICE which
is originally used by CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS, but this rtc device has
some limiations, for example, it must be battery-backed, be able
to work with irq off and through system suspension, etc.

So add CONFIG_RTC_SYSTOHC_DEVICE used exclusively for CONFIG_RTC_SYSTOHC,
it is more lenient compared to CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS_DEVICE, and could
be assigned any available RTC in the system.

Default value is CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS_DEVICE which is "rtc0" by default.
After this patch, NTP will sync up "rtc0" by default.

30ad29bb48 MIPS: Loongson: Naming style cleanup and rework
Currently, code of Loongson-2/3 is under loongson directory and code of
Loongson-1 is under loongson1 directory. Besides, there are Kconfig
options such as MACH_LOONGSON and MACH_LOONGSON1. This naming style is
very ugly and confusing. Since Loongson-2/3 are both 64-bit general-
purpose CPU while Loongson-1 is 32-bit SoC, we rename both file names
and Kconfig symbols from loongson/loongson1 to loongson64/loongson32.

aaaf5fbf56 rtc: add driver for DS1685 family of real time clocks
This adds a driver for the Dallas/Maxim DS1685-family of RTC chips. It
supports the DS1685/DS1687, DS1688/DS1691, DS1689/DS1693, DS17285/DS17287,
DS17485/DS17487, and DS17885/DS17887 RTC chips. These chips are commonly
found in SGI O2 and SGI Octane systems. It was originally derived from a
driver patch submitted by Matthias Fuchs many years ago for use in
EPPC-405-UC modules, which also used these RTCs. In addition to the
time-keeping functions, this RTC also handles the shutdown mechanism of
the O2 and Octane and acts as a partial NVRAM for the boot PROMS in these
systems.

Verified on both an SGI O2 and an SGI Octane.

0b2f6228b2 rtc: add support for Abracon AB-RTCMC-32.768kHz-B5ZE-S3 I2C RTC chip
This patch adds support for Abracon AB-RTCMC-32.768kHz-B5ZE-S3
RTC/Calendar module w/ I2C interface.

This support includes RTC time reading and setting, Alarm (1 minute
accuracy) reading and setting, and battery low detection. The device also
supports frequency adjustment and two timers but those features are
currently not implemented in this driver. Due to alarm accuracy
limitation (and current lack of timer support in the driver), UIE mode is
not supported.

140cd7fb04 powerpc updates for 3.19
Some nice cleanups like removing bootmem, and removal of __get_cpu_var().

There is one patch to mm/gup.c. This is the generic GUP implementation, but is
only used by us and arm(64). We have an ack from Steve Capper, and although we
didn't get an ack from Andrew he told us to take the patch through the powerpc
 tree.

There's one cxl patch. This is in drivers/misc, but Greg said he was happy for
us to manage fixes for it.

There is an infrastructure patch to support an IPMI driver for OPAL. That patch
also appears in Corey Minyard's IPMI tree, you may see a conflict there.

There is also an RTC driver for OPAL. We weren't able to get any response from
the RTC maintainer, Alessandro Zummo, so in the end we just merged the driver.

16b1d26e77 rtc/tpo: Driver to support rtc and wakeup on PowerNV platform
The patch implements the OPAL rtc driver that binds with the rtc
driver subsystem. The driver uses the platform device infrastructure
to probe the rtc device and register it to rtc class framework. The
'wakeup' is supported depending upon the property 'has-tpo' present
in the OF node. It provides a way to load the generic rtc driver in
in the absence of an OPAL driver.

The patch also moves the existing OPAL rtc get/set time interfaces to the
new driver and exposes the necessary OPAL calls using EXPORT_SYMBOL_GPL.

43e112bb3d rtc: at91sam9: make use of syscon/regmap to access GPBR registers
The GPBR registers are not part of the RTT block and thus should not be
defined in the reg property of the rtt node.

Use syscon to provide a proper DT representation and reference the GPBR
syscon device in a new "atmel,rtt-rtc-time-reg" property which store both
the syscon device phandle and the register offset within the GPBR block.

When using non DT boards, we won't be able to retrieve the syscon regmap,
hence we need to create our own regmap using the memory region defined
in the 2nd memory resource assigned to the RTT platform device.

7538ec7d1e ARM: at91: remove no-MMU at91x40 support
As there is currently no-one to take care of this old !MMU target and as its

7efe665903 rtc: Disable EFI rtc for x86
commit da167ad763 ("rtc: ia64: allow other architectures to use EFI
RTC") inadvertently introduced a regression for x86 because we've been
careful not to enable the EFI rtc driver due to the generally buggy
implementations of the time-related EFI runtime services.

In fact, since the above commit was merged we've seen reports of crashes
on 32-bit tablets,

  https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84241#c21

Disable it explicitly for x86 so that we don't give users false hope
that this driver will work - it won't, and your machine is likely to
crash.

9765d2d943 rtc: sun6i: Add sun6i RTC driver
This patch introduces the driver for the RTC in the Allwinner A31 and

Unlike the RTC found in A10/A20 SoCs, which was part of the timer, the
RTC in A31/A23 are a separate hardware block, which also contain a few
controls for the RTC block hardware (a regulator and RTC block GPIO pin
latches), while also having separate interrupts for the alarms.

The hardware is different enough to make a different driver for it.

41c9dbf4ba drivers/rtc/Kconfig: disable RTC_DRV_CMOS on Atari
On ARAnyM (emulating an Atari Falcon, which doesn't have an RTC IRQ, as
the Second Multi Function Peripheral MFP 68901 is available on Atari TT
only), rtc-cmos doesn't work well:

  - The date is of by 32 years (2045 instead of 2013):

    rtc_cmos rtc_cmos: setting system clock to 2045-12-02 10:56:17 UTC
    (2395824977)

  - The hwclock utility doesn't work:

hwclock: ioctl() to /dev/rtc to turn on update interrupts failed
    unexpectedly, errno=5: Input/output error.

As rtc-generic works fine for the RTC part, and nvram works for the NVRAM
part, we'll continue on using that.

85d0b3a573 alpha: Reorganize rtc handling
Discontinue use of GENERIC_CMOS_UPDATE; rely on the RTC subsystem.

The marvel platform requires that the rtc only be touched from the
boot cpu. This had been partially implemented with hooks for
get/set_rtc_time, but read/update_persistent_clock were not handled.
Move the hooks from the machine_vec to a special rtc_class_ops struct.

We had read_persistent_clock managing the epoch against which the
rtc hw is based, but this didn't apply to get_rtc_time or set_rtc_time.
This resulted in incorrect values when hwclock(8) gets involved.

Allow the epoch to be set from the kernel command-line, overriding
the autodetection, which is doomed to fail in 2020. Further, by
implementing the rtc ioctl function, we can expose this epoch to
userland.

Elide the alarm functions that RTC_DRV_CMOS implements. This was
highly questionable on Alpha, since the interrupt is used by the
system timer.

e88b815e01 drivers/rtc/rtc-sirfsoc.c: add rtc drivers for CSR SiRFprimaII and SiRFatlasVI
On CSR SiRFprimaII/atlasVI, there is a programmable 16-bit divider
(RTC_DIV) that divides the input 32.768KHz clock to the frequency that
users need (E.g. 1 Hz). The divided real-time clock will be used to
drive a 32-bit counter (RTC_COUNTER) that provides users with the actual
time.

In each cycle of the divided real-time clock, there is a Hertz interrupt
generated to the RISC. Users can also configure an alarm (RTC_ALARM).
When RTC_COUNTER matches the alarm, there will be an alarm interrupt
generated to the RISC.

The system RTC can generate an alarm wake-up signal to notify the power
controller to wake up from power saving mode.

b4f711ee03 time: Revert ALWAYS_USE_PERSISTENT_CLOCK compile time optimizaitons
Kay Sievers noted that the ALWAYS_USE_PERSISTENT_CLOCK config,
which enables some minor compile time optimization to avoid
uncessary code in mostly the suspend/resume path could cause
problems for userland.

In particular, the dependency for RTC_HCTOSYS on
!ALWAYS_USE_PERSISTENT_CLOCK, which avoids setting the time
twice and simplifies suspend/resume, has the side effect
of causing the /sys/class/rtc/rtcN/hctosys flag to always be
zero, and this flag is commonly used by udev to setup the
/dev/rtc symlink to /dev/rtcN, which can cause pain for
older applications.

While the udev rules could use some work to be less fragile,
breaking userland should strongly be avoided. Additionally
the compile time optimizations are fairly minor, and the code
being optimized is likely to be reworked in the future, so
lets revert this change.

05ad717c77 timekeeping: Add CONFIG_HAS_PERSISTENT_CLOCK option
Make the persistent clock check a kernel config option, so that some
platform can explicitely select it, also make CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS and
RTC_SYSTOHC depend on its non-existence, which could prevent the
persistent clock and RTC code from doing similar thing twice during
system's init/suspend/resume phases.

If the CONFIG_HAS_PERSISTENT_CLOCK=n, then no change happens for kernel
which still does the persistent clock check in timekeeping_init().

023f333a99 NTP: Add a CONFIG_RTC_SYSTOHC configuration
The purpose of this option is to allow ARM/etc systems that rely on the
class RTC subsystem to have the same kind of automatic NTP based
synchronization that we have on PC platforms. Today ARM does not
implement update_persistent_clock and makes extensive use of the class
RTC system.

When enabled CONFIG_RTC_SYSTOHC will provide a generic
rtc_update_persistent_clock that stores the current time in the RTC and
is intended complement the existing CONFIG_RTC_HCTOSYS option that loads
the RTC at boot.

Like with RTC_HCTOSYS the platform's update_persistent_clock is used
first, if it works. Platforms with mixed class RTC and non-RTC drivers
need to return ENODEV when class RTC should be used. Such an update for
PPC is included in this patch.

Long term, implementations of update_persistent_clock should migrate to
proper class RTC drivers and use CONFIG_RTC_SYSTOHC instead.

Tested on ARM kirkwood and PPC405

62e00cb9a3 rtc: add rtc-driver for HID sensors of type time
This driver makes the time from HID sensors (hubs) which are offering
such available like any other RTC does.

It is necessary that all values like year, month etc, are send as
8bit values (1 byte each) and all of them in 1 report. Also the
spec HUTRR39b doesn't define the range of the year field, we
tread it as 0 - 99 because that's what most RTCs I know about are
offering.

Currently the time can only be read. Setting the time must be done
through sending a report (or a feature). The spec currently doesn't
define how and I'm not sure if I just should define something by myself.
