309caa9cc6 ARM: Prohibit ioremap() on kernel managed RAM
ARMv6 and above have a restriction whereby aliasing virtual:physical
mappings must not have differing memory type and sharability
attributes. Strictly, this covers the memory type (strongly ordered,
device, memory), cache attributes (uncached, write combine, write
through, write back read alloc, write back write alloc) and the
shared bit.

However, using ioremap() and its variants on system RAM results in
mappings which differ in these attributes from the main system RAM
mapping. Other architectures which similar restrictions approch this
problem in the same way - they do not permit ioremap on main system
RAM.

Make ARM behave in the same way, with a WARN_ON() such that users can
be traced and an alternative approach found.

090830b4c7 OMAP4: clock: Fix multi-omap boot with reset un-used clocks
This patch uses "ENABLE_ON_INIT" flag on the emif clock nodes
to avoid the emif clk getting cut as part of reset un-used clock
routine which prevents boot.

Since "omap4xxx_clk_init()" calls "clk_enable_init_clocks()"
which increases the usecount on all ENABLE_ON_INIT clocks, it
prevents "omap2_clk_disable_unused()" from disabling the clock.

The real fix is to have driver for EMIF and do clock get/enable
as part of it. The EMIF driver is planned to be done HWMOD way
so till that available to keep omap3_defconfig booting on OMAP4430,
this patch is necessary.
(Will updated the auto-gen script for 44xx accordingly)

df0698be14 ARM: stack protector: change the canary value per task
A new random value for the canary is stored in the task struct whenever
a new task is forked. This is meant to allow for different canary values
per task. On ARM, GCC expects the canary value to be found in a global
variable called __stack_chk_guard. So this variable has to be updated
with the value stored in the task struct whenever a task switch occurs.

Because the variable GCC expects is global, this cannot work on SMP
unfortunately. So, on SMP, the same initial canary value is kept
throughout, making this feature a bit less effective although it is still
useful.

One way to overcome this GCC limitation would be to locate the
__stack_chk_guard variable into a memory page of its own for each CPU,
and then use TLB locking to have each CPU see its own page at the same
virtual address for each of them.

8dbed71ad1 [ARM] pxa/mioa701: fix camera regression
Since commit a48c24a696, the
camera is not working anymore.

After the v4l2 migration, the mt9m111 camera board
information was not passed to the i2c layer anymore, but
stored for future use of v4l2 (through soc_camera).

Because mioa701_i2c_devices[] was tagged as "__initdata",
and because after the v4l2 migration, the new structure
"iclink" references it, the mt9m111 driver is not probed
anymore, as part of "iclink" is not valid (discarded after
kernel init).

Although there is not compilation error, nor runtime oops,
this patch restores a working camera on the mioa701 board.

0b96a3a3c5 OMAP3: PM: fix IO daisy chain enable to use PM_WKEN reg
Checking to se if the IO daisy chain is enabled should be checking the
PM_WKEN register, not the PM_WKST register. Reading PM_WKST tells us
if an event occurred, not whether or not it is enabled.

Apparently, we've been lucky until now in that a pending event has not
been there during enable. However, on 3630/Zoom3, I noticed because

856f191451 omap: DMTIMER: Ack pending interrupt always when stopping a timer
The kernel timer queue is being run currently from a GP timer running in a one
shot mode, which works in a way that when it expires, it will also stop.
Usually during this situation, the interrupt handler will ack the interrupt,
load a new value to the timer and start it again. During suspend, the
situation is slightly different, as we disable interrupts just before
timekeeping is suspended, which leaves a small window where the timer can
expire before it is stopped, and will leave the interrupt flag pending.
This pending interrupt will prevent ARM sleep entry, thus now we ack it always
when we are attempting to stop a timer.

When functions incoming parameters are not in input operands list gcc

17ebba1fe4 ARM: 6165/1: trap overflows on highmem pages from kmap_atomic when debugging
When CONFIG_DEBUG_HIGHMEM is used, the fixmap entry used for a highmem page
by kmap_atomic() is always cleared by kunmap_atomic(). This helps find
bad usages such as dereferences after the unmap, or overflow into the
adjacent fixmap areas.

But this debugging aid is completely bypassed when a kmap for the same
page already exists as the kmap is reused instead. ON VIVT systems we
have no choice but to reuse that kmap due to cache coherency issues,
but on non VIVT systems we should always force the fixmap usage when
debugging is active.

1ef04370d8 asm-generic: remove ARCH_HAS_SG_CHAIN in scatterlist.h
There are more architectures that don't support ARCH_HAS_SG_CHAIN than
those that support it. This removes removes ARCH_HAS_SG_CHAIN in
asm-generic/scatterlist.h and lets arhictectures to define it.

It's clearer than defining ARCH_HAS_SG_CHAIN asm-generic/scatterlist.h and
undefing it in arhictectures that don't support it.

ca2afb6dbe davinci: mmc: pass number of SG segments as platform data
On some platforms like DM355, the number of EDMA parameter slots available
for EDMA_SLOT_ANY usage are few. In such cases, if MMC/SD uses 16 slots
for each instance of MMC controller, then the number of slots available
for other modules will be very few.

By passing the number of EDMA slots to be used in MMC driver from platform
data, EDMA slots available for other purposes can be controlled.

Most of the platforms will not use this platform data variable. But on
DM355, as the number of EDMA resources available is limited, the number of
scatter- gather segments used inside the MMC driver can be 8 (passed as
platform data) instead of 16. On DM355, when the number of scatter-gather
segments was reduced to 8, I saw a performance difference of about
0.25-0.4 Mbytes/sec during write. Read performance variations were
negligible.

3defb24761 ARM: 6146/1: sa1111: Prevent deadlock in resume path
This patch reorganises the sa1111_resume() function in a manner the spinlock
happens after calling the sa1111_wake(). This fixes two bugs:

1) This function called sa1111_wake() which tried to claim the same spinlock
the sa1111_resume() already claimed. This would result in certain deadlock.

Original idea for this part: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2) The function didn't unlock the spinlock in case the chip didn't report
   correct ID.

ba327b1e52 ARM: 6145/1: ux500 MTU clockrate correction
This adjusts the clockrate for the MTU timer. On the different
UX500 variants this rate is different. The platform can also have
been set up at hardware initialization, bootloader or early init
for different clock speeds. To have the clock framework available
early so the timers can use them, the clock initialization for
Nomadik and ux500 is moved to IRQ init time. A custom per-clock
callback is added to handle special cases like this.

This solves a user-visible bug: without this patch the current
UX500 platforms will not be synchronized to wall-clock time and
the platform will drift in time.

2146325df2 leds: leds-gpio: Change blink_set callback to be able to turn off blinking
The leds-gpio blink_set() callback follows the same prototype as the
main leds subsystem blink_set() one.

The problem is that to stop blink, normally, a leds driver does it
in the brightness_set() callback when asked to set a new fixed value.

However, with leds-gpio, the platform has no hook to do so, as this
later callback results in a standard GPIO manipulation.

This changes the leds-gpio specific callback to take a new argument
that indicates whether the LED should be blinking or not and in what
state it should be set if not. We also update the dns323 platform
which seems to be the only user of this so far.

dcc7871128 kgdb: core changes to support kdb
These are the minimum changes to the kgdb core in order to enable an
API to connect a new front end (kdb) to the debug core.

This patch introduces the dbg_kdb_mode variable controls where the
user level I/O is routed. It will be routed to the gdbstub (kgdb) or
to the kdb front end which is a simple shell available over the kgdboc
connection.

You can switch back and forth between kdb or the gdb stub mode of
operation dynamically. From gdb stub mode you can blindly type
"$3#33", or from the kdb mode you can enter "kgdb" to switch to the
gdb stub.

The logic in the debug core depends on kdb to look for the typical gdb
connection sequences and return immediately with KGDB_PASS_EVENT if a
gdb serial command sequence is detected. That should allow a
reasonably seamless transition between kdb -> gdb without leaving the
kernel exception state. The two gdb serial queries that kdb is
responsible for detecting are the "?" and "qSupported" packets.

2a9f5a4d45 OMAP3 clock: remove unnecessary duplicate of dpll4_m2_ck, added for 36xx
Commit 678bc9a2ea split dpll4_m2_ck,
creating a 34xx and a 36xx variant, to handle the additional 16
divider steps provided on the 36xx. This in turn required dynamic
rewriting of the clock tree during initialization, which is
undesirable. All this seems to be unnecessary, though, since the
additional 16 divider steps can simply be marked with RATE_IN_36XX.
This patch does so and re-merges the affected structures.

- makes several functions static that are not called outside the file;

- makes some code paths easier to read (hopefully), by breaking up
  compound statements and removing redundant checks;

- converts some pr_err()s that indicate clock tree data problems into WARN()s,
  so they are more likely to be noticed;

- and moves omap2_clk_round_rate() back into mach-omap2/clock.c, its proper
home, since it is not clksel-specific.

d74b494971 OMAP2+ clock: remove DEFAULT_RATE clksel_rate flag
The DEFAULT_RATE clksel_rate flag is essentially useless. It was set
on some of the lowest divisors, which, when switching to a much
higher-rate parent, could have potentially resulted in rates that
exceeded the hardware specifications for downstream clocks in the
window between the clk_set_parent(), and a subsequent clk_set_rate().
It seems much safer to just remove the flag and always use the highest
available divisor (resulting in the lowest possible rate) after the
switch, and this patch does so.

Ideally, it would be best to first attempt to switch to a divisor that
matches the clock's rate with the previous parent, if at all possible.
But that is a project for some other day or some other person. The
parent changing code is rarely used.

There are three i2c buses on am3517, and each i2c bus has several devices

ada8d4a5e2 OMAP2/3/4: DMA: disable channel interrupts in omap_init_dma()
If we are softbooting another kernel using kexec, DMA controller state is not
known when we are performing omap_init_dma(). It is possible that some DMA
channels are already active. For example after kexec we get:

<4>IRQ 0020 for non-allocated DMAchannel 5
<4>IRQ 0020 for non-allocated DMAchannel 5
<4>IRQ 0020 for non-allocated DMAchannel 5
<4>IRQ 0020 for non-allocated DMAchannel 5

f2add1de55 omap: rx51: Change the TWL4030 VMMC2 voltage constraints andsupply name
I believe the VMMC2 constraints must be the same than with VAUX3. Older
boards are using TWL4030 VMMC2 supply for internal MMC whereas newer are
using VAUX3 that has more limited constraints defined in this same file.

More over, the VMMC2 supply is used also for analog audio domain and the
miminum analog voltage of the TLV320AIC34 codec is 2.7 V.

To combine these two facts, the patch changes supply name to V28_A as the
newer boards register VMMC2_30 for VAUX3 and uses the same constraints than
VAUX3 since those constraints are ok for the TLV320AIC34.

20c9d2c4ab i2c-omap: add mpu wake up latency constraint in i2c
While waiting for completion of the i2c transfer, the
MPU could hit OFF mode and cause several msecs of
delay that made i2c transfers fail more often. The
extra delays and subsequent re-trys cause i2c clocks
to be active more often. This has also an negative
effect on power consumption.

Created a mechanism for passing and using the
constraint setting function in driver code. The used
mpu wake up latency constraints are now set individually
per bus, and they are calculated based on clock rate
and fifo size.

Thanks to Jarkko Nikula, Moiz Sonasath, Paul Walmsley,
and Nishanth Menon for tuning out the details of
this patch.

Updates by Kevin as requested by Tony:

- Remove omap_set_i2c_constraint_func() in favor of conditionally
adding the flag in omap_i2c_add_bus() in order to keep all the OMAP
conditional checking in a single location.
- Update set_mpu_wkup_lat prototypes to match OMAP PM layer so
OMAP PM function can be used directly in pdata.

This is a pre-requisite clock patch for the plat-s5pc1xx to plat-s5p
movement. The patches that perform the movement of the code from
plat-s5pc1xx to plat-s5p (and mach-s5pc100) should also enable the
build for the mach-s5pc100/clock.c code.

1131379b48 ARM: SAMSUNGy: fix broken timer irq base
Timer interrupts range was defined as 43-47, what overlaps with VIC0 range
(32-64). This was caused probably by a typo while the common interrupts
definition was refactored. This patch moves timer interrupt range to safe
area of 11-15 (just before uart range).

This fixes the commit 87aef30eb3
("ARM: S5P: Change S5P_TIMER_IRQ based to 11 for SAMSUNG S5P series.")
which meant to move these into the old (and previously reserved)
ISA space.
