crypto: af_alg - Work around empty control messages without MSG_MORE
crypto: sa2ul - add Kconfig selects to fix build error
crypto: ingenic - Drop kfree for memory allocated with devm_kzalloc
crypto: qat - add delay before polling mailbox
The mailbox CSR register has a write latency and requires a delay before
being read. This patch replaces readl_poll_timeout with read_poll_timeout
that allows to sleep before read.
The initial sleep was removed when the mailbox poll loop was replaced with
readl_poll_timeout.

clang static analysis flags this error
qat_uclo.c:297:3: warning: Attempt to free released memory
[unix.Malloc]
kfree(*init_tab_base);
^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When input *init_tab_base is null, the function allocates memory for
the head of the list. When there is problem allocating other list
elements the list is unwound and freed. Then a check is made if the
list head was allocated and is also freed.
Keeping track of the what may need to be freed is the variable 'tail_old'.
The unwinding/freeing block is
while (tail_old) {
mem_init = tail_old->next;
kfree(tail_old);
tail_old = mem_init;
}
The problem is that the first element of tail_old is also what was
allocated for the list head
init_header = kzalloc(sizeof(*init_header), GFP_KERNEL);
...
*init_tab_base = init_header;
flag = 1;
}
tail_old = init_header;
So *init_tab_base/init_header are freed twice.
There is another problem.
When the input *init_tab_base is non null the tail_old is calculated by
traveling down the list to first non null entry.
tail_old = init_header;
while (tail_old->next)
tail_old = tail_old->next;
When the unwinding free happens, the last entry of the input list will
be freed.
So the freeing needs a general changed.
If locally allocated the first element of tail_old is freed, else it
is skipped. As a bit of cleanup, reset *init_tab_base if it came in
as null.

The CRYPTO_TFM_RES_BAD_KEY_LEN flag was apparently meant as a way to
make the ->setkey() functions provide more information about errors.
However, no one actually checks for this flag, which makes it pointless.
Also, many algorithms fail to set this flag when given a bad length key.
Reviewing just the generic implementations, this is the case for
aes-fixed-time, cbcmac, echainiv, nhpoly1305, pcrypt, rfc3686, rfc4309,
rfc7539, rfc7539esp, salsa20, seqiv, and xcbc. But there are probably
many more in arch/*/crypto/ and drivers/crypto/.
Some algorithms can even set this flag when the key is the correct
length. For example, authenc and authencesn set it when the key payload
is malformed in any way (not just a bad length), the atmel-sha and ccree
drivers can set it if a memory allocation fails, and the chelsio driver
sets it for bad auth tag lengths, not just bad key lengths.
So even if someone actually wanted to start checking this flag (which
seems unlikely, since it's been unused for a long time), there would be
a lot of work needed to get it working correctly. But it would probably
be much better to go back to the drawing board and just define different
return values, like -EINVAL if the key is invalid for the algorithm vs.
-EKEYREJECTED if the key was rejected by a policy like "no weak keys".
That would be much simpler, less error-prone, and easier to test.
So just remove this flag.

Commit 7a7ffe65c8 ("crypto: skcipher - Add top-level skcipher interface")
dated 20 august 2015 introduced the new skcipher API which is supposed to
replace both blkcipher and ablkcipher. While all consumers of the API have
been converted long ago, some producers of the ablkcipher remain, forcing
us to keep the ablkcipher support routines alive, along with the matching
code to expose [a]blkciphers via the skcipher API.
So switch this driver to the skcipher API, allowing us to finally drop the
ablkcipher code in the near future.

The .ioctl and .compat_ioctl file operations have the same prototype so
they can both point to the same function, which works great almost all
the time when all the commands are compatible.
One exception is the s390 architecture, where a compat pointer is only
31 bit wide, and converting it into a 64-bit pointer requires calling
compat_ptr(). Most drivers here will never run in s390, but since we now
have a generic helper for it, it's easy enough to use it consistently.
I double-checked all these drivers to ensure that all ioctl arguments
are used as pointers or are ignored, but are not interpreted as integer
values.

One of the more common cases of allocation size calculations is finding
the size of a structure that has a zero-sized array at the end, along
with memory for some number of elements for that array. For example:
struct qat_alg_buf_list {
...
struct qat_alg_buf bufers[];
} __packed __aligned(64);
Make use of the struct_size() helper instead of an open-coded version
in order to avoid any potential type mistakes.
So, replace the following form:
sizeof(struct qat_alg_buf_list) + ((1 + n) * sizeof(struct qat_alg_buf))
with:
struct_size(bufl, bufers, n + 1)

The flags field in 'struct shash_desc' never actually does anything.
The only ostensibly supported flag is CRYPTO_TFM_REQ_MAY_SLEEP.
However, no shash algorithm ever sleeps, making this flag a no-op.
With this being the case, inevitably some users who can't sleep wrongly
pass MAY_SLEEP. These would all need to be fixed if any shash algorithm
actually started sleeping. For example, the shash_ahash_*() functions,
which wrap a shash algorithm with the ahash API, pass through MAY_SLEEP
from the ahash API to the shash API. However, the shash functions are
called under kmap_atomic(), so actually they're assumed to never sleep.
Even if it turns out that some users do need preemption points while
hashing large buffers, we could easily provide a helper function
crypto_shash_update_large() which divides the data into smaller chunks
and calls crypto_shash_update() and cond_resched() for each chunk. It's
not necessary to have a flag in 'struct shash_desc', nor is it necessary
to make individual shash algorithms aware of this at all.
Therefore, remove shash_desc::flags, and document that the
crypto_shash_*() functions can be called from any context.

drivers/crypto/qat/qat_common/qat_algs.c: In function 'qat_alg_do_precomputes':
drivers/crypto/qat/qat_common/qat_algs.c:257:1: error: the frame size
of 1112 bytes is larger than 1024 bytes [-Werror=frame-larger-than=]
Given that this worst case estimate is only 32 bytes larger than the
actual block size of SHA-512, the use of a VLA here was hiding the
excessive size of the stack frame from the compiler, and so we should
try to move these buffers off the stack.
So move the ipad/opad buffers and the various SHA state descriptors
into the tfm context struct. Since qat_alg_do_precomputes() is only
called in the context of a setkey() operation, this should be safe.
Using SHA512_BLOCK_SIZE for the size of the ipad/opad buffers allows
them to be used by SHA-1/SHA-256 as well.

After bfcb79fca1 ("PCI/ERR: Run error recovery callbacks for all affected
devices"), AER errors are always cleared by the PCI core and drivers don't
need to do it themselves.
Remove calls to pci_cleanup_aer_uncorrect_error_status() from device
driver error recovery functions.

adf_dev_aer_schedule_reset() is never called in atomic context, as it
calls wait_for_completion_timeout().
adf_dev_aer_schedule_reset() calls kzalloc() with GFP_ATOMIC,
which is not necessary.
GFP_ATOMIC can be replaced with GFP_KERNEL.
This is found by a static analysis tool named DCNS written by myself.
I also manually check the kernel code before reporting it.

In qat_alg_aead_init_sessions we save pointers to the authenc keys
in a local variable of type struct crypto_authenc_keys and we don't
zeroize it after use. Fix this and don't leak pointers to the
authenc keys.

Functions qat_rsa_set_n, qat_rsa_set_e and qat_rsa_set_n are local to
the source and do not need to be in global scope, so make them static.

Passing the register value by reference here leads a large amount of stack being
used when CONFIG_KASAN is enabled:
drivers/crypto/qat/qat_common/qat_hal.c: In function 'qat_hal_exec_micro_inst.constprop':
drivers/crypto/qat/qat_common/qat_hal.c:963:1: error: the frame size of 1792 bytes is larger than 1536 bytes [-Werror=frame-larger-than=]
Changing the register-read function to return the value instead reduces the stack
size to around 800 bytes, most of which is for the 'savuwords' array. The function
now no longer returns an error code, but nothing ever evaluated that anyway.
