2be09de7d6 Merge git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/davem/net
Lots of conflicts, by happily all cases of overlapping
changes, parallel adds, things of that nature.

Thanks to Stephen Rothwell, Saeed Mahameed, and others
for their guidance in these resolutions.

15515aaaa6 lan78xx: Resolve issue with changing MAC address
Current state for the lan78xx driver does not allow for changing the
MAC address of the interface, without either removing the module (if
you compiled it that way) or rebooting the machine. If you attempt to
change the MAC address, ifconfig will show the new address, however,
the system/interface will not respond to any traffic using that
configuration. A few short-term options to work around this are to
unload the module and reload it with the new MAC address, change the
interface to "promisc", or reboot with the correct configuration to
change the MAC.

This patch enables the ability to change the MAC address via fairly normal means...
ifdown <interface>
modify entry in /etc/network/interfaces OR a similar method
ifup <interface>
Then test via any network communication, such as ICMP requests to gateway.

My only test platform for this patch has been a raspberry pi model 3b+.

9c27369f4a r8152: Add support for MAC address pass through on RTL8153-BND
All previous docks and dongles that have supported this feature use
the RTL8153-AD chip.

RTL8153-BND is a new chip that will be used in upcoming Dell type-C docks.
It should be added to the whitelist of devices to activate MAC address
pass through.

Per confirming with Realtek all devices containing RTL8153-BND should
activate MAC pass through and there won't use pass through bit on efuse
like in RTL8153-AD.

5146f95df7 USB: hso: Fix OOB memory access in hso_probe/hso_get_config_data
The function hso_probe reads if_num from the USB device (as an u8) and uses
it without a length check to index an array, resulting in an OOB memory read
in hso_probe or hso_get_config_data.

Add a length check for both locations and updated hso_probe to bail on
error.

This issue has been assigned CVE-2018-19985.

45611c61dd usbnet: ipheth: fix potential recvmsg bug and recvmsg bug 2
The bug is not easily reproducable, as it may occur very infrequently
(we had machines with 20minutes heavy downloading before it occurred)
However, on a virual machine (VMWare on Windows 10 host) it occurred
pretty frequently (1-2 seconds after a speedtest was started)

dev->tx_skb mab be freed via dev_kfree_skb_irq on a callback
before it is set.

This causes the following problems:
- double free of the skb or potential memory leak
- in dmesg: 'recvmsg bug' and 'recvmsg bug 2' and eventually
  general protection fault

Example dmesg output:

The proposed patch eliminates a potential racing condition.
Before, usb_submit_urb was called and _after_ that, the skb was attached
(dev->tx_skb). So, on a callback it was possible, however unlikely that the
skb was freed before it was set. That way (because dev->tx_skb was not set
to NULL after it was freed), it could happen that a skb from a earlier
transmission was freed a second time (and the skb we should have freed did
not get freed at all)

Now we free the skb directly in ipheth_tx(). It is not passed to the
callback anymore, eliminating the posibility of a double free of the same
skb. Depending on the retval of usb_submit_urb() we use dev_kfree_skb_any()
respectively dev_consume_skb_any() to free the skb.

75938f7710 usbnet: smsc95xx: check for csum being in last four bytes
The manual states that the checksum cannot lie in the last DWORD of the
transmission, so add a basic check for this and fall back to software
checksumming the packet.

This only seems to trigger for ACK packets with no options or data to
return to the other end, and the use of the tx-alignment option makes
it more likely to happen.

0c8b26556c usbnet: smsc95xx: simplify tx_fixup code
The smsc95xx_tx_fixup is doing multiple calls to skb_push() to
put an 8-byte command header onto the packet. It would be easier
to do one skb_push() and then copy the data in once the push is
done.

We also make the code smaller by using proper unaligned puts for
the header. This merges in the CPU to LE32 conversion as well and
makes the whole sequence easier to understand hopefully.

The smsc95xx driver already takes into account the NET_IP_ALIGN
parameter when setting up the receive packet data, which means
we do not need to worry about aligning the packets in the usbnet

Adding the EVENT_NO_IP_ALIGN means that the IPv4 header is now
passed to the ip_rcv() routine with the start on an aligned address.

7c5cca3588 qmi_wwan: Support dynamic config on Quectel EP06
Quectel EP06 (and EM06/EG06) supports dynamic configuration of USB
interfaces, without the device changing VID/PID or configuration number.
When the configuration is updated and interfaces are added/removed, the
interface numbers change. This means that the current code for matching
EP06 does not work.

This patch removes the current EP06 interface number match, and replaces
it with a match on class, subclass and protocol. Unfortunately, matching
on those three alone is not enough, as the diag interface exports the
same values as QMI. The other serial interfaces + adb export different
values and do not match.

The diag interface only has two endpoints, while the QMI interface has
three. I have therefore added a check for number of interfaces, and we
ignore the interface if the number of endpoints equals two.

0ee1f47349 r8152: napi hangup fix after disconnect
When unplugging an r8152 adapter while the interface is UP, the NIC
becomes unusable. usb->disconnect (aka rtl8152_disconnect) deletes
napi. Then, rtl8152_disconnect calls unregister_netdev and that invokes
netdev->ndo_stop (aka rtl8152_close). rtl8152_close tries to
napi_disable, but the napi is already deleted by disconnect above. So
the first while loop in napi_disable never finishes. This results in
complete deadlock of the network layer as there is rtnl_mutex held by
unregister_netdev.

So avoid the call to napi_disable in rtl8152_close when the device is
already gone.

The other calls to usb_kill_urb, cancel_delayed_work_sync,
netif_stop_queue etc. seem to be fine. The urb and netdev is not
destroyed yet.
