We need to convert all old gpio irqchips to pass the irqchip
setup along when adding the gpio_chip.
For chained irqchips this is a pretty straight-forward
conversion.

If an edge interrupt triggers while entering idle just before we save
GPIO datain register to saved_datain, the triggered GPIO will not be
noticed on wake-up. This is because the saved_datain and GPIO datain
are the same on wake-up in omap_gpio_unidle(). Let's fix this by
ignoring any pending edge interrupts for saved_datain.
This issue affects only idle states where the GPIO module internal
wake-up path is operational. For deeper idle states where the GPIO
module gets powered off, Linux generic wakeirqs must be used for
the padconf wake-up events with pinctrl-single driver. For examples,
please see "interrupts-extended" dts usage in many drivers.
This issue can be somewhat easily reproduced by pinging an idle system
with smsc911x Ethernet interface configured IRQ_TYPE_EDGE_FALLING. At
some point the smsc911x interrupts will just stop triggering. Also if
WLCORE WLAN is used with EDGE interrupt like it's documentation specifies,
we can see lost interrupts without this patch.
Note that in the long run we may be able to cancel entering idle by
returning an error in gpio_omap_cpu_notifier() on pending interrupts.
But let's fix the bug first.
Also note that because of the recent clean-up efforts this patch does
not apply directly to older kernels. This does fix a long term issue
though, and can be backported as needed.

The IOP3xx has some elaborate code to directly slam the
GPIO lines multiplexed with I2C down low before enablement,
apparently a workaround for a hardware bug found in the
early chips.
After consulting the developer documentation for IOP80321
and IOP80331 I can clearly see that this may be useful for
IOP80321 family (mach-iop32x) but it is highly dubious for
any 80331 series or later chip: in these chips the lines
are not multiplexed for UARTs.
We convert the code to pass optional GPIO descriptors
and register these only on the 80321-based boards where
it makes sense, optionally obtain them in the driver and
use the gpiod_set_raw_value() to ascertain the line gets
driven low when needed.
The GPIO driver does not give the GPIO chip a reasonable
label so the patch also adds that so that these machine
descriptor tables can be used.

When a GPIO block has the set/clear dataout registers implemented, it
also has the normal dataout register implemented. Reading this register
reads the current GPIO output state, and writing it sets the GPIOs to

omap_set_gpio_irqenable() calls two helpers that are almost the same
apart from whether they set or clear bits. We can consolidate these:
- in the set/clear bit register case, we can perform the operation on
our saved context copy and write the appropriate set/clear register.
- otherwise, we can use our read-modify-write helper and invert enable
if irqenable_inv is set.

One of the reasons for set_multiple() to exist is to allow multiple
GPIOs on the same chip to be changed simultaneously - see commit
5f42424354 ("gpiolib: allow simultaneous setting of multiple GPIO
outputs"):
- Simultaneous glitch-free setting of multiple pins on any kind of
parallel bus attached to GPIOs provided they all reside on the
same chip and bank.
In order for this to work, we should not use the atomic set/clear
registers, but instead read-modify-write the dataout register. We
already take the spinlock to ensure that happens atomically, so
move the code into the set_multiple() function and kill the two
helper functions.

The edge interrupt handling was effectively:
isr = ISR_reg & enabled;
if (bank->level_mask)
level_mask = bank->level_mask & enabled;
else
level_mask = 0;
edge = isr & ~level_mask;
When bank->level_mask is zero, level_mask will be computed as zero
anyway, so the if() statement is redundant. We are then left with:
isr = ISR_reg & enabled;
level_mask = bank->level_mask & enabled;
edge = isr & ~level_mask;
This can be simplified further to:
isr = ISR_reg & enabled;
edge = isr & ~bank->level_mask;
since the second mask with 'enabled' is redundant.

Documentation states:
NOTE: There must be a correlation between the wake-up enable and
interrupt-enable registers. If a GPIO pin has a wake-up configured
on it, it must also have the corresponding interrupt enabled (on
one of the two interrupt lines).
Ensure that this condition is always satisfied by enabling the detection
events after enabling the interrupt, and disabling the detection before
disabling the interrupt. This ensures interrupt/wakeup events can not
happen until both the wakeup and interrupt enables correlate.

The stmmac driver currently ignores the GPIO flags which are passed via
devicetree because it operates with legacy GPIO numbers instead of GPIO
descriptors. stmmac assumes that the GPIO is "active HIGH" by default.
This can be overwritten by setting "snps,reset-active-low" to make the
reset line "active LOW".
Recent Amlogic SoCs (G12A which includes S905X2 and S905D2 as well as
G12B which includes S922X) use GPIOZ_14 or GPIOZ_15 for the PHY reset
line. These GPIOs are special because they are marked as "3.3V input
tolerant open drain" pins which means they can only drive the pin output
LOW (to reset the PHY) or to switch to input mode (to take the PHY out
of reset).
The GPIO subsystem already supports this with the GPIO_OPEN_DRAIN and
GPIO_OPEN_SOURCE flags in the devicetree bindings.
Add the stmmac PHY reset line specific active low parsing to gpiolib-of
so stmmac can be ported to GPIO descriptors while being backwards
compatible with device trees which use the "old" way of specifying the
polarity.

This driver was using the OF GPIO helper API, but barely used any of its
features and it cost more code than it saved. Also, the OF GPIO code is
now deprecated. Convert it to use a more standard setup and use devm
APIs for initialization to avoid the need for a remove function.
Our rationale for this change is that we are using the Xilinx GPIO with
resources injected using the MFD core rather than on the device tree
itself. Using platform rather than OF-specific resources allows this to
work for free.

24 bit expanders use REG_ADDR_AI in combination with register addressing. This
conflicts with regmap which takes this bit as part of the register number,
i.e. a second cache entry is defined for accessed with REG_ADDR_AI being
set although on the chip it is the same register as with REG_ADDR_AI being
cleared.
The problem was introduced by
commit b32cecb46b ("gpio: pca953x: Extract the register address mangling to single function")
but only became visible by
commit 8b9f9d4dc5 ("regmap: verify if register is writeable before writing operations")
because before, the regmap size was effectively ignored and
pca953x_writeable_register() did know to ignore REG_ADDR_AI. Still, there
were two separate cache entries created.
Since the use of REG_ADDR_AI seems to be static we can work around this
issue by simply increasing the size of the regmap to cover the "virtual"
registers with REG_ADDR_AI being set. This only means that half of the
regmap buffer will be unused.

When a gpio_chip wants to request a descriptor from itself
using gpiochip_request_own_desc() it needs to be able to specify
fully how to use the descriptor, notably line inversion
semantics. The workaround in the gpiolib.c can be removed
and cases (such as SPI CS) where we need at times to request
a GPIO with line inversion semantics directly on a chip for
workarounds, can be fully supported with this call.
Fix up some users of the API that weren't really using the
last flag to set up the line as input or output properly
but instead just calling direction setting explicitly
after requesting the line.

Merge tag 'spdx-5.2-rc3-1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/gregkh/driver-core
Pull yet more SPDX updates from Greg KH:
"Here is another set of reviewed patches that adds SPDX tags to
different kernel files, based on a set of rules that are being used to
parse the comments to try to determine that the license of the file is
"GPL-2.0-or-later" or "GPL-2.0-only". Only the "obvious" versions of
these matches are included here, a number of "non-obvious" variants of
text have been found but those have been postponed for later review
and analysis.
There is also a patch in here to add the proper SPDX header to a bunch
of Kbuild files that we have missed in the past due to new files being
added and forgetting that Kbuild uses two different file names for
Makefiles. This issue was reported by the Kbuild maintainer.
These patches have been out for review on the linux-spdx@vger mailing
list, and while they were created by automatic tools, they were
hand-verified by a bunch of different people, all whom names are on
the patches are reviewers"

The Freescale SPI chipselects are special: while everyone else
is using "cs-gpios" the Freescale platforms just use "gpios".
Fix this by responding with "gpios" when asking for "cs-gpios"
in a freescale device node, so we hide this pecularity from
the SPI core.

Core changes:
- The gpiolib MMIO driver has been enhanced to handle two direction
registers, i.e. one register to set lines as input and one register
to set lines as output. It turns out some silicon engineer thinks
the ability to configure a line as input and output at the same
time makes sense, this can be debated but includes a lot of analog
electronics reasoning, and the registers are there and need to
be handled consistently. Unsurprisingly, we enforce the lines to
be either inputs or outputs in such schemes.
- Send in the proper argument value to .set_config() dispatched to
the pin control subsystem. Nobody used it before, now someone
does, so fix it to work as expected.
- The ACPI gpiolib portions can now handle pin bias setting (pull up
or pull down). This has been in the ACPI spec for years and we
finally have it properly integrated with Linux GPIOs. It was based
on an observation from Andy Schevchenko that Thomas Petazzoni's
changes to the core for biasing the PCA950x GPIO expander actually
happen to fit hand-in-glove with what the ACPI core needed.
Such nice synergies happen sometimes.
New drivers:
- A new driver for the Mellanox BlueField GPIO controller. This is
using 64bit MMIO registers and can configure lines as inputs
and outputs at the same time and after improving the MMIO library
we handle it just fine. Interesting.
- A new IXP4xx proper gpiochip driver with hierarchical interrupts
should be coming in from the ARM SoC tree as well.
Driver enhancements:
- The PCA053x driver handles the CAT9554 GPIO expander.
- The PCA053x driver handles the NXP PCAL6416 GPIO expander.
- Wake-up support on PCA053x GPIO lines.
- OMAP now does a nice asynchronous IRQ handling on wake-ups by
letting everything wake up on edges, and this makes runtime PM
work as expected too.
Misc:
- Several cleanups such as devres fixes.
- Get rid of some languager comstructs that cause problems when
compiling with LLVMs clang.
- Documentation review and update.

Merge tag 'pidfd-v5.2-rc1' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/brauner/linux
Pull pidfd updates from Christian Brauner:
"This patchset makes it possible to retrieve pidfds at process creation
time by introducing the new flag CLONE_PIDFD to the clone() system
call. Linus originally suggested to implement this as a new flag to
clone() instead of making it a separate system call.
After a thorough review from Oleg CLONE_PIDFD returns pidfds in the
parent_tidptr argument. This means we can give back the associated pid
and the pidfd at the same time. Access to process metadata information
thus becomes rather trivial.
As has been agreed, CLONE_PIDFD creates file descriptors based on
anonymous inodes similar to the new mount api. They are made
unconditional by this patchset as they are now needed by core kernel
code (vfs, pidfd) even more than they already were before (timerfd,
signalfd, io_uring, epoll etc.). The core patchset is rather small.
The bulky looking changelist is caused by David's very simple changes
to Kconfig to make anon inodes unconditional.
A pidfd comes with additional information in fdinfo if the kernel
supports procfs. The fdinfo file contains the pid of the process in
the callers pid namespace in the same format as the procfs status
file, i.e. "Pid:\t%d".
To remove worries about missing metadata access this patchset comes
with a sample/test program that illustrates how a combination of
CLONE_PIDFD and pidfd_send_signal() can be used to gain race-free
access to process metadata through /proc/<pid>.
Further work based on this patchset has been done by Joel. His work
makes pidfds pollable. It finished too late for this merge window. I
would prefer to have it sitting in linux-next for a while and send it
for inclusion during the 5.3 merge window"

Support. We migrate to MULTI_IRQ_HANDLER, bumps the IRQs to
offset 16, converts to SPARSE_IRQ, then we add proper subsystem
drivers in each subsystem for irqchip, GPIO and clocksource and
switch over to using these new drivers.
Next we modernize the NPE and QMGR drivers and push them down
into drivers/soc.
This has been tested on the IXP4xx NSLU2 and the Gateworks
GW2358-4.

Merge tag 'ixp4xx-for-armsoc' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-nomadik into arm/soc
This modernizes the IXP4xx platform and adds initial Device Tree
GW2358-4.

This adds a driver for the IXP4xx GPIO block found in
the Intel XScale IXP4xx systems.
The GPIO part of this block is pretty straight-forward and
just uses the generic MMIO GPIO library.
The irqchip side of this driver is hierarchical where
the main irqchip will receive a processed level trigger
in response to the edge detector of the GPIO block,
so for this reason the v2 version of the irqdomain API
is used (as well as in the parent IXP4xx irqchip) and
masking, unmasking and setting up the type on IRQ
happens on several levels.
Currently this GPIO controller will grab the parent
irqdomain using a special function, but as the platform
move toward device tree probing, this will not be needed:
we can just look up the parent irqdomain from the device
tree.

Commit b764a5863f ("gpio: omap: Remove custom PM calls and use cpu_pm
instead") moved interrupt using GPIO banks to idle with cpu_pm in order
to drop the use of pm_runtime_irq_safe() in a later patch. The GPIO
banks with no interrupts claimed are still being idled based on PM
runtime calls. However this caused a regression for am437x suspend for
rtc+ddr idle mode where the device cannot enter idle state as reported
by Keerthy <j-keerthy@ti.com>.
To fix the issue, we must not fail the pm_runtime callbacks. For GPIO
interrupts, we already have irq_chip_pm_get increment the PM runtime
use count as pointed out by Grygorii Strashko <grygorii.strashko@ti.com>.
So all we need to do is remove the conditional handling in the
runtime_suspend and resume functions and let the CPU PM notifier idle
the GPIO banks.

The GPIO block can enter idle independently of the CPU power management
calls via smart-idle. When the GPIO block enters idle, level detection
stops working due to clocks being shut off, and an alternative form of
edge detection is used. However, this needs the edge detection
registers set to mark the appropriate edges.
Arrange to configure the edge detection enables along with the level
detection to ensure that any transition to active interrupt state that
occurs while the block is idle is detected as a wake-up event.
Since we enable the edge detection when configuring the IRQ, both
omap2_gpio_enable_level_quirk() nor omap2_gpio_disable_level_quirk()
become redundant, which also means OMAP_GPIO_QUIRK_IDLE_REMOVE_TRIGGER
can be removed. This can be now done without regressions as patch
"gpio: gpio-omap: fix level interrupt idling" allows level interrupts
to idle on omap4 without a workaround.

If a device is part of the wake-up path, it should indicate this by
setting its power.wakeup_path field. This allows the genpd core code to
keep the device enabled during system suspend when needed.
As regulators powering devices are not handled by genpd, the driver
handles these itself, and thus must skip regulator control when the
device is part of the wake-up path.

During my regression testing I noticed the cadence GPIO driver
fails on the latest gpio for-next tree.
I think the reason is this patch:

It looks like the issue is that gc->bgpio_dir has changed its meaning.
It used to be set to the register value (so it was being inverted).
Now it's always set to 1 for output and 0 for input.
However the bgpio_get_set functions were not updated.
So they invert the bit again, which means a wrong register
is being accessed.
This patch fixes that by removing the unnecessary inversion.

The gpio_set_config function creates a pinconf configuration for a given
pinc_config_param.
However, it always uses an arg of 0, which might not be a valid argument
for a given param. A good example of that would be the bias parameters,
where 0 means that the pull up or down resistor is null, and the pin is
directly connected to VCC/GND.
The framework uses in some other places the value 1 as a default argument
to enable the pull resistor, so let's use the same one here.

It turns out that one specific hardware has two direction
registers: one to set a GPIO line as input and another one
to set a GPIO line as output. So in theory a line can be
configured as input and output at the same time.
Make the MMIO GPIO helper deal with this: store both
registers in the state container, use both in the generic
code if present. Synchronize the input register to the
output register when we register a GPIO chip, with the
output settings taking precedence.
Keep the helper variable to detect inverted direction
semantics (only direction in register) but augment the
code to be more straight-forward for the generic case
when setting the registers.
Fix some flunky with unreadable direction registers at
the same time as we're touching this code.

If the call to of_gpiochip_scan_gpios() in of_gpiochip_add() fails, no
error handling is performed. This lead to the need of callers to call
of_gpiochip_remove() on failure, which causes "BAD of_node_put() on ..."
if the failure happened before the call to of_node_get().
Fix this by adding proper error handling.
Note that calling gpiochip_remove_pin_ranges() multiple times causes no

We are currently assuming all GPIOs are non-wakeup capable GPIOs as we
not configuring the bank->non_wakeup_gpios like we used to earlier with
platform_data.
Let's add omap_gpio_is_off_wakeup_capable() to make the handling clearer
while considering that later patches may want to configure SoC specific
bank->non_wakeup_gpios for the GPIOs in wakeup domain.

The bank->workaround_enabled should be for omap24xx erratum 1.101 but is not
needed any longer as erratum 1.101 handling only needs to happen based on
!bank->loses_context with patch "gpio: omap: Limit errata 1.101 handling to
wkup domain gpios only".
Further Grygorii Strashko <grygorii.strashko@ti.com> points out that we are
now tagging all edge GPIOs as non-wakeup GPIOs and rely on original erratum
1.101 handling for scacnning for edge interrupts that have triggered during
idle.
Also the TI Android kernel tree has an earlier commit "GPIO: OMAP: Always
scan gpios during runtime resume" by Tero Kristo <t-kristo@ti.com> saying:
"This allows the driver to generate interrupts for GPIOs that can't
wakeup but have changed state during runtime suspend. We cannot
depend on the decision based on no need to restore, as the system
state might change and pending events could gather up."
So let's remove bank->workaround_enabled and always scan for triggered edge
interrupts on resume. We do that based on bank->enabled_non_wakeup_gpios.

We need to only apply errata 1.101 handling to clear non-wakeup edge gpios
for idle to the gpio bank(s) in the wkup domain to prevent spurious wake-up
events.
And we must restore what we did after idle manually as the gpio bank in
wkup domain is not restored otherwise.
Let's keep bank->saved_datain register reading separate, that's not related
to the 1.101 errata and is used separately on restore.

The only difference between two codepaths is register offset
used. Simplify the code a bit by replacing explicit calls with a
single call with a variable offset. No functional change intended.

Core changes:
- The big change this time around is the irqchip handling in
the qualcomm pin controllers, closely coupled with the
gpiochip. This rework, in a classic fall-between-the-chairs
fashion has been sidestepped for too long. The Qualcomm
IRQchips using the SPMI and SSBI transport mechanisms have
been rewritten to use hierarchical irqchip. This creates
the base from which I intend to gradually pull support for
hierarchical irqchips into the gpiolib irqchip helpers to
cut down on duplicate code. We have too many hacks in the
kernel because people have been working around the missing
hierarchical irqchip for years, and once it was there,
noone understood it for a while. We are now slowly adapting
to using it. This is why this pull requests include changes
to MFD, SPMI, IRQchip core and some ARM Device Trees
pertaining to the Qualcomm chip family. Since Qualcomm have
so many chips and such large deployments it is paramount
that this platform gets this right, and now it (hopefully)
does.
- Core support for pull-up and pull-down configuration, also
from the device tree. When a simple GPIO chip support a
"off or on" pull-up or pull-down resistor, we provide a
way to set this up using machine descriptors or device tree.
If more elaborate control of pull up/down (such as
resistance shunt setting) is required, drivers should be
phased over to use pin control. We do not yet provide a
userspace ABI for this pull up-down setting but I suspect
the makers are going to ask for it soon enough. PCA953x
is the first user of this new API.
- The GPIO mockup driver has been revamped after some
discussion improving the IRQ simulator in the process.
The idea is to make it possible to use the mockup for
both testing and virtual prototyping, e.g. when you do
not yet have a GPIO expander to play with but really
want to get something to develop code around before
hardware is available. It's neat. The blackbox testing
usecase is currently making its way into kernelci.
- ACPI GPIO core preserves non direction flags when updating
flags.
- A new device core helper for devm_platform_ioremap_resource()
is funneled through the GPIO tree with Greg's ACK.
New drivers:
- TQ-Systems QTMX86 GPIO controllers (using port-mapped
I/O)
- Gateworks PLD GPIO driver (vaccumed up from OpenWrt)
- AMD G-Series PCH (Platform Controller Hub) GPIO driver.
- Fintek F81804 & F81966 subvariants.
- PCA953x now supports NXP PCAL6416.
Driver improvements:
- IRQ support on the Nintendo Wii (Hollywood) GPIO.
- get_direction() support for the MVEBU driver.
- Set the right output level on SAMA5D2.
- Drop the unused irq trigger setting on the Spreadtrum
driver.
- Wakeup support for PCA953x.
- A slew of cleanups in the various Intel drivers.

Tony notes that the GPIO module does not idle when level interrupts are
in use, as the wakeup appears to get stuck.
After extensive investigation, it appears that the wakeup will only be
cleared if the interrupt status register is cleared while the interrupt
is enabled. However, we are currently clearing it with the interrupt
disabled for level-based interrupts.
It is acknowledged that this observed behaviour conflicts with a
statement in the TRM:
CAUTION
After servicing the interrupt, the status bit in the interrupt status
register (GPIOi.GPIO_IRQSTATUS_0 or GPIOi.GPIO_IRQSTATUS_1) must be
reset and the interrupt line released (by setting the corresponding
bit of the interrupt status register to 1) before enabling an
interrupt for the GPIO channel in the interrupt-enable register
(GPIOi.GPIO_IRQSTATUS_SET_0 or GPIOi.GPIO_IRQSTATUS_SET_1) to prevent
the occurrence of unexpected interrupts when enabling an interrupt
for the GPIO channel.
However, this does not appear to be a practical problem.
Further, as reported by Grygorii Strashko <grygorii.strashko@ti.com>,
the TI Android kernel tree has an earlier similar patch as "GPIO: OMAP:
Fix the sequence to clear the IRQ status" saying:
if the status is cleared after disabling the IRQ then sWAKEUP will not
be cleared and gates the module transition
When we unmask the level interrupt after the interrupt has been handled,
enable the interrupt and only then clear the interrupt. If the interrupt
is still pending, the hardware will re-assert the interrupt status.
Should the caution note in the TRM prove to be a problem, we could
use a clear-enable-clear sequence instead.

but the macro was never used for ACPI or legacy enumeration.

If a PCA953x gpio was used as an interrupt and then released,
the shutdown function was trying to extract the pca953x_chip
pointer directly from the irq_data, but in reality was getting
the gpio_chip structure.
The net effect was that the subsequent writes to the data
structure corrupted data in the gpio_chip structure, which wasn't
immediately obvious until attempting to use the GPIO again in the
future, at which point the kernel panics.
This fix correctly extracts the pca953x_chip structure via the
gpio_chip structure, as is correctly done in the other irq
functions.

Commit 0e7d6f9401 ("gpio: of: Apply regulator-gpio quirk only to
enable-gpios") breaks the device tree ABI specified in the device tree
bindings for fixed regulators (compatible "regulator-fixed"). According
to these bindings the polarity of the GPIO is exclusively controlled by
the presence or absence of the enable-active-high property. As such the
polarity quirk implemented in of_gpio_flags_quirks() must be applied to
the GPIO specified for fixed regulators.
However, commit 0e7d6f9401 ("gpio: of: Apply regulator-gpio quirk only
to enable-gpios") restricted the quirk to the enable-gpios property for
fixed regulators as well, whereas according to the commit message itself
it should only apply to "regulator-gpio" compatible device tree nodes.
Fix this by actually implementing what the offending commit intended,
which is to ensure that the quirk is applied to the GPIO specified by
the "enable-gpio" property for the "regulator-gpio" bindings only.
This fixes a regression on Jetson TX1 where the fixed regulator for the
HDMI +5V pin relies on the flags quirk for the proper polarity.

Modify the way the debugfs interface works in gpio-mockup. Introduce
the concept of dummy pull config which will keep the mockup lines in
known state. The pull values can be modified by writing to the debugfs
files corresponding to lines. Lines in input mode always report the
current pull value, lines in output mode change the line value but
it will revert back to the one specified by current pull when released.

Since commit d6cd33ad71 ("regulator: gpio: Convert to use descriptors")
the GPIO regulator had inverted the polarity of the control GPIO. This
problem manifested itself on systems with DT containing the following
description (snippet from salvator-common.dtsi):
gpios = <&gpio5 1 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>;
gpios-states = <1>;
states = <3300000 1
1800000 0>;
Prior to the aforementioned commit, the gpio-regulator code used
gpio_request_array() to claim the GPIO(s) specified in the "gpios"
DT node, while the commit changed that to devm_gpiod_get_index().
The legacy gpio_request_array() calls gpio_request_one() and then
gpiod_request(), which parses the DT flags of the "gpios" node and
populates the GPIO descriptor flags field accordingly.
The new devm_gpiod_get_index() calls gpiod_get_index(), then
of_find_gpio(), of_get_named_gpiod_flags() with flags != NULL,
and then of_gpio_flags_quirks(). Since commit a603a2b8d8
("gpio: of: Add special quirk to parse regulator flags"),
of_gpio_flags_quirks() contains a quirk for regulator-gpio
which was never triggered by the legacy gpio_request_array()
code path, but is triggered by devm_gpiod_get_index() code
path.
This quirk checks whether a GPIO is associated with a fixed
or gpio-regulator and if so, checks two additional conditions.
First, whether such GPIO is active-low, and if so, ignores the
active-low flag. Second, whether the regulator DT node does
have an "enable-active-high" property and if the property is
NOT present, sets the GPIO flags as active-low.
The second check triggers a problem, since it is applied to all
GPIOs associated with a gpio-regulator, rather than only on the
"enable" GPIOs, as the old code did. This changes the way the
gpio-regulator interprets the DT description of the control
GPIOs.
The old code using gpio_request_array() explicitly parsed the
"enable-active-high" DT property and only applied it to the
GPIOs described in the "enable-gpios" DT node, and only if
those were present.
This patch fixes the quirk code by only applying the quirk
to "enable-gpios", thus restoring the old behavior.

Unlike gpio_rcar_irq_set_wake(), which this solution was based on,
pcf857x_irq_set_wake() does not need to do anything else than calling
irq_set_irq_wake() for the upstream interrupt controller. Hence there
is no reason for making this call conditional, and no longer a need for
keeping a copy of the interrupt number that also serves as a flag.
Just propagate irq_set_irq_wake() to the upstream interrupt controller,
using the original interrupt number.

The Zynq GPIO driver currently implements runtime PM by:
- Enabling runtime PM support in ->probe() and letting the runtime PM
reference counter drop to zero at the end of ->probe().
- Increasing the runtime PM reference counter in ->request() and
decreasing it in ->free().
However, the latter is not sufficient: when a GPIO is used as an
interrupt, ->request() and ->free() are not called. Due to this, the
runtime PM counter remains to zero when the only GPIOs in use are used
as interrupts, causing them to simply not work.
To address this problem, this commit implement the
->irq_request_resources() and ->irq_release_resources() hooks,
ensuring that the runtime PM counter is properly
incremented/decremented. Since we override the default hooks, we keep
the existing behavior by making sure they call gpiochip_reqres_irq() /
gpiochip_relres_irq() respectively.

This commit adds support for configuring the pull-up and pull-down
resistors available in some GPIO controllers. While configuring
pull-up/pull-down is already possible through the pinctrl subsystem,
some GPIO controllers, especially simple ones such as GPIO expanders
on I2C, don't have any pinmuxing capability and therefore do not use
the pinctrl subsystem.
This commit implements the GPIO_PULL_UP and GPIO_PULL_DOWN flags,
which can be used from the Device Tree, to enable a pull-up or
pull-down resistor on a given GPIO.
The flag is simply propagated all the way to the core GPIO subsystem,
where it is used to call the gpio_chip ->set_config callback with the
appropriate existing PIN_CONFIG_BIAS_* values.

Interupts were generated using GPIN interrupts of
ADP5588. These interrupts have two important limitations:
1. Interrupts can only be generated for either rising or
falling edges but not both.
2. Interrupts are reasserted as long as the interrupt condition
persists (i.e. high or low level on that GPIN). This generates
lots of interrupts unless the event is very short.
To overcome this, ADP5588 provides an event system which queues
up to 10 events in a buffer. GPIN events are queued whenever the
GPIN is asserted or deasserted. This makes it possible to support
generating GPIN interrupts for both edges and to generate only one
interrupt per state change.
Thus it is possible to chain the gpio-keys driver for some GPIOs.

On SoC reset all GPIO interrupts are disable. However, if kexec is
used to boot into a new kernel, the SoC does not experience a
reset. Hence GPIO interrupts can be left enabled from the previous
kernel. It is then possible for the interrupt to fire before an
interrupt handler is registered, resulting in the kernel complaining
of an "unexpected IRQ trap", the interrupt is never cleared, and so
fires again, resulting in an interrupt storm.
Disable all GPIO interrupts before registering the GPIO IRQ chip.
