ARM: SoC cleanups for 3.17
This merge window brings a good size of cleanups on various
platforms. Among the bigger ones:
* Removal of Samsung s5pc100 and s5p64xx platforms. Both of these have
lacked active support for quite a while, and after asking around nobody
showed interest in keeping them around. If needed, they could be
resurrected in the future but it's more likely that we would prefer
reintroduction of them as DT and multiplatform-enabled platforms
instead.
* OMAP4 controller code register define diet. They defined a lot of registers
that were never actually used, etc.
* Move of some of the Tegra platform code (PMC, APBIO, fuse, powergate)
to drivers/soc so it can be shared with 64-bit code. This also converts them
over to traditional driver models where possible.
* Removal of legacy gpio-samsung driver, since the last users have been
removed (moved to pinctrl)
Plus a bunch of smaller changes for various platforms that sort of
dissapear in the diffstat for the above. clps711x cleanups, shmobile
header file refactoring/moves for multiplatform friendliness, some misc
cleanups, etc.

There've been many updates in ASoC side at this time, especially the
framework enhancement for multiple CODECs on a single DAI and more
componentization works. The only major change in ALSA core is the
addition of timestamp type in sw_params field. This should behave in

Staging driver patches for 3.17-rc1

ARM: imx: Add the secondary request into the structure for imx-sdma
SDMA supports device to device (per_2_per) scripts to handle DMA transfering between two peripheral devices. The per_2_per script, however, needs two dma requests from two sides while the current structure only defined one request. So this patch just simply adds the secondary request so as to let SDMA and its user to add its implementation later. [ Both change in the SDMA driver and its users like Freescale ASRC ASoC driver should be taken along with this change in order to truly support per_2_per sciprts. Add driver for STMicroelectronics ST21NFCB NFC controller. ST21NFCB is using NCI protocol and a proprietary low level transport protocol called NDLC used on top. NDLC: The protocol defines 2 types of frame: - One type carrying NCI data (referred as DATAFRAME frames). - One type carrying protocol information used for flow control and error control mechanisms (referred as SUPERVISOR frames). After each frame transmission to the NFC controller, the device host SHALL waitfor an ACK (SUPERVISOR frame) reception before sending a new frame. The NFC controller MAY send a frame at anytime to the device host. The NFC controller MAY send a specific WAIT supervisor frame to indicate to device host that a NCI data packet has been received but that it could take significant time before the NFC controller sends an ACK and thus allows next data reception. mmc: omap_hsmmc: Enable SDIO interrupt
There have been various patches floating around for enabling the SDIO IRQ for hsmmc, but none of them ever got merged. Probably the reason for not merging the SDIO interrupt patches has been the lack of wake-up path for SDIO on some omaps that has also needed remuxing the SDIO DAT1 line to a GPIO making the patches complex. This patch adds the minimal SDIO IRQ support to hsmmc for omaps that do have the wake-up path. For those omaps, the DAT1 line need to have the wake-up enable bit set, and the wake-up interrupt is the same as for the MMC controller. This patch has been tested on am3730 es1.2 with mwifiex connected to MMC3 with mwifiex waking to Ethernet traffic from off-idle mode. Note that for omaps that do not have the SDIO wake-up path, this patch will not work for idle modes and further patches for remuxing DAT1 to GPIO are needed. Based on earlier patches [1][2] by David Vrabel <david.vrabel@csr.com>, Steve Sakoman <steve@sakoman.com> For now, only support SDIO interrupt if we are booted with a separate wake-irq configued via device tree. This is because omaps need the wake-irq for idle states, and some omaps need special quirks. And we don't want to add new legacy mux platform init code callbacks any longer as we are moving to DT based booting anyways. To use it, you need to specify the wake-irq using the interrupts-extended property. video: move Versatile CLCD helpers
This moves the Versatile-specific helper code and panel database down into the drivers/video folder next to the CLCD driver itself, preserving the config symbol but also moving the header to platform data. This is necessary to rid the Integrator of this final <plat/*> inclusion dependency and get us one less user of the plat-versatile folder. pwm: Changes for v3.16-rc1
The majority of these changes are cleanups and fixes across all drivers. Redundant error messages are removed and more PWM controllers set the .can_sleep flag to signal that they can't be used in atomic context. Support is added for the Broadcom Kona family of SoCs and the Intel LPSS driver can now probe PCI devices in addition to ACPI devices. Upon shut- down, the pwm-backlight driver will now power off the backlight. It also uses the new descriptor-based GPIO API for more concise GPIO handling. A large chunk of these changes also converts platforms to use the lookup mechanism rather than relying on the global number space to reference PWM devices. This is largely in preparation for more unification and cleanups in future patches. USB driver patches for 3.16-rc1
Here is the big USB driver pull request for 3.16-rc1. Nothing huge here, but lots of little things in the USB core, and in lots of drivers. Hopefully the USB power management will be work better now that it has been reworked to do per-port power control dynamically. There's also a raft of gadget driver updates and fixes, CONFIG_USB_DEBUG is finally gone now that everything has been converted over to the dynamic debug inteface, the last hold-out drivers were cleaned up and the config option removed. There were also other minor things all through the drivers/usb/ tree, the shortlog shows this pretty well. All have been in linux-next, including the very last patch, which came from linux-next to fix a build issue on some platforms. tty/serial: at91: use mctrl_gpio helpers
On sam9x5, dedicated CTS (and RTS) pins are unusable together with the LCDC, the EMAC, or the MMC because they share the same line. Moreover, the USART controller doesn't handle DTR/DSR/DCD/RI signals, so we have to control them via GPIO. This patch permits to use GPIOs to control the CTS/RTS/DTR/DSR/DCD/RI signals. ASoC: Add ADAU1381/ADAU1781 audio CODEC support
This patch adds support for the Analog Devices ADAU1381 and ADAU1781 audio CODECs. The device is a low-power, 24-bit stereo audio CODEC with multiple analog inputs and outputs, two digital microphone inputs and an I2S interface. The device can be controlled either using I2C or SPI. The main difference between the two variants is that the ADAU1781 has a freely programmable SigmaDSP processor, while the ADAU1381 has a fixed function wind noise reduction filter.
