96b120b3c1 sctp: add asoc intl_enable negotiation during 4 shakehands
asoc intl_enable will be set when local sp strm_interleave is set
and there's I-DATA chunk in init and init_ack extensions, as said
in section 2.2.1 of RFC8260.

asoc intl_enable indicates all data will be sent as I-DATA chunks.

772a58693f sctp: add stream interleave enable members and sockopt
This patch adds intl_enable in asoc and netns, and strm_interleave in
sctp_sock to indicate if stream interleave is enabled and supported.

netns intl_enable would be set via procfs, but that is not added yet
until all stream interleave codes are completely implemented; asoc
intl_enable will be set when doing 4-shakehands.

sp strm_interleave can be set by sockopt SCTP_INTERLEAVING_SUPPORTED
which is also added in this patch. This socket option is defined in
section 4.3.1 of RFC8260.

Note that strm_interleave can only be set by sockopt when both netns
intl_enable and sp frag_interleave are set.

97a6ec4ac0 rhashtable: Change rhashtable_walk_start to return void
Most callers of rhashtable_walk_start don't care about a resize event
which is indicated by a return value of -EAGAIN. So calls to
rhashtable_walk_start are wrapped wih code to ignore -EAGAIN. Something
like this is common:

       ret = rhashtable_walk_start(rhiter);
if (ret && ret != -EAGAIN)
               goto out;

Since zero and -EAGAIN are the only possible return values from the
function this check is pointless. The condition never evaluates to true.

This patch changes rhashtable_walk_start to return void. This simplifies
code for the callers that ignore -EAGAIN. For the few cases where the
caller cares about the resize event, particularly where the table can be
walked in mulitple parts for netlink or seq file dump, the function
rhashtable_walk_start_check has been added that returns -EAGAIN on a
resize event.

8e1611e235 make sock_alloc_file() do sock_release() on failures
This changes calling conventions (and simplifies the hell out
the callers). New rules: once struct socket had been passed
to sock_alloc_file(), it's been consumed either by struct file
or by sock_release() done by sock_alloc_file(). Either way
the caller should not do sock_release() after that point.

779edd7348 sctp: do not abandon the other frags in unsent outq if one msg has outstanding frags
Now for the abandoned chunks in unsent outq, it would just free the chunks.
Because no tsn is assigned to them yet, there's no need to send fwd tsn to
peer, unlike for the abandoned chunks in sent outq.

The problem is when parts of the msg have been sent and the other frags
are still in unsent outq, if they are abandoned/dropped, the peer would
never get this msg reassembled.

So these frags in unsent outq can't be dropped if this msg already has
outstanding frags.

This patch does the check in sctp_chunk_abandoned and
sctp_prsctp_prune_unsent.

e5f612969c sctp: abandon the whole msg if one part of a fragmented message is abandoned
As rfc3758#section-3.1 demands:

A3) When a TSN is "abandoned", if it is part of a fragmented message,
all other TSN's within that fragmented message MUST be abandoned
       at the same time.

Besides, if it couldn't handle this, the rest frags would never get
assembled in peer side.

This patch supports it by adding abandoned flag in sctp_datamsg, when
one chunk is being abandoned, set chunk->msg->abandoned as well. Next
time when checking for abandoned, go checking chunk->msg->abandoned
first.

d30fc5126e sctp: only update outstanding_bytes for transmitted queue when doing prsctp_prune
Now outstanding_bytes is only increased when appending chunks into one
packet and sending it at 1st time, while decreased when it is about to
move into retransmit queue. It means outstanding_bytes value is already
decreased for all chunks in retransmit queue.

However sctp_prsctp_prune_sent is a common function to check the chunks
in both transmitted and retransmit queue, it decrease outstanding_bytes
when moving a chunk into abandoned queue from either of them.

It could cause outstanding_bytes underflow, as it also decreases it's
value for the chunks in retransmit queue.

This patch fixes it by only updating outstanding_bytes for transmitted
queue when pruning queues for prsctp prio policy, the same fix is also
needed in sctp_check_transmitted.

a8dd397903 sctp: use right member as the param of list_for_each_entry
Commit d04adf1b35 ("sctp: reset owner sk for data chunks on out queues
when migrating a sock") made a mistake that using 'list' as the param of
list_for_each_entry to traverse the retransmit, sacked and abandoned
queues, while chunks are using 'transmitted_list' to link into these
queues.

It could cause NULL dereference panic if there are chunks in any of these
queues when peeling off one asoc.

So use the chunk member 'transmitted_list' instead in this patch.

52a395896a sctp: set sender next_tsn for the old result with ctsn_ack_point plus 1
When doing asoc reset, if the sender of the response has already sent some
chunk and increased asoc->next_tsn before the duplicate request comes, the
response will use the old result with an incorrect sender next_tsn.

Better than asoc->next_tsn, asoc->ctsn_ack_point can't be changed after
the sender of the response has performed the asoc reset and before the
peer has confirmed it, and it's value is still asoc->next_tsn original
value minus 1.

This patch sets sender next_tsn for the old result with ctsn_ack_point
plus 1 when processing the duplicate request, to make sure the sender
next_tsn value peer gets will be always right.

159f2a7456 sctp: avoid flushing unsent queue when doing asoc reset
Now when doing asoc reset, it cleans up sacked and abandoned queues
by calling sctp_outq_free where it also cleans up unsent, retransmit
and transmitted queues.

It's safe for the sender of response, as these 3 queues are empty at
that time. But when the receiver of response is doing the reset, the
users may already enqueue some chunks into unsent during the time
waiting the response, and these chunks should not be flushed.

To void the chunks in it would be removed, it moves the queue into a
temp list, then gets it back after sctp_outq_free is done.

5c6144a0eb sctp: only allow the asoc reset when the asoc outq is empty
As it says in rfc6525#section5.1.4, before sending the request,

C2: The sender has either no outstanding TSNs or considers all
        outstanding TSNs abandoned.

Prior to this patch, it tried to consider all outstanding TSNs abandoned
by dropping all chunks in all outqs with sctp_outq_free (even including
sacked, retransmit and transmitted queues) when doing this reset, which
is too aggressive.

To make it work gently, this patch will only allow the asoc reset when
the sender has no outstanding TSNs by checking if unsent, transmitted
and retransmit are all empty with sctp_outq_is_empty before sending
and processing the request.

d570a59c5b sctp: only allow the out stream reset when the stream outq is empty
Now the out stream reset in sctp stream reconf could be done even if
the stream outq is not empty. It means that users can not be sure

To make this more synchronous, it shouldn't allow to do out stream
reset until these chunks in unsent outq all are sent out.

This patch checks the corresponding stream outqs when sending and
processing the request . If any of them has unsent chunks in outq,
it will return -EAGAIN instead or send SCTP_STRRESET_IN_PROGRESS

ecca8f88da sctp: set frag_point in sctp_setsockopt_maxseg correctly
Now in sctp_setsockopt_maxseg user_frag or frag_point can be set with
val >= 8 and val <= SCTP_MAX_CHUNK_LEN. But both checks are incorrect.

val >= 8 means frag_point can even be less than SCTP_DEFAULT_MINSEGMENT.
Then in sctp_datamsg_from_user(), when it's value is greater than cookie
echo len and trying to bundle with cookie echo chunk, the first_len will
overflow.

The worse case is when it's value is equal as cookie echo len, first_len
becomes 0, it will go into a dead loop for fragment later on. In Hangbin
syzkaller testing env, oom was even triggered due to consecutive memory
allocation in that loop.

Besides, SCTP_MAX_CHUNK_LEN is the max size of the whole chunk, it should
deduct the data header for frag_point or user_frag check.

This patch does a proper check with SCTP_DEFAULT_MINSEGMENT subtracting
the sctphdr and datahdr, SCTP_MAX_CHUNK_LEN subtracting datahdr when
setting frag_point via sockopt. It also improves sctp_setsockopt_maxseg
codes.

7c8a61d9ee net/sctp: Always set scope_id in sctp_inet6_skb_msgname
Alexandar Potapenko while testing the kernel with KMSAN and syzkaller
discovered that in some configurations sctp would leak 4 bytes of
kernel stack.

Working with his reproducer I discovered that those 4 bytes that
are leaked is the scope id of an ipv6 address returned by recvmsg.

With a little code inspection and a shrewd guess I discovered that
sctp_inet6_skb_msgname only initializes the scope_id field for link
local ipv6 addresses to the interface index the link local address
pertains to instead of initializing the scope_id field for all ipv6
addresses.

That is almost reasonable as scope_id's are meaniningful only for link
local addresses. Set the scope_id in all other cases to 0 which is
not a valid interface index to make it clear there is nothing useful
in the scope_id field.

There should be no danger of breaking userspace as the stack leak
guaranteed that previously meaningless random data was being returned.

423852f890 sctp: check stream reset info len before making reconf chunk
Now when resetting stream, if both in and out flags are set, the info
len can reach:
  sizeof(struct sctp_strreset_outreq) + SCTP_MAX_STREAM(65535) +
  sizeof(struct sctp_strreset_inreq) + SCTP_MAX_STREAM(65535)
even without duplicated stream no, this value is far greater than the
chunk's max size.

_sctp_make_chunk doesn't do any check for this, which would cause the
skb it allocs is huge, syzbot even reported a crash due to this.

cea0cc80a6 sctp: use the right sk after waking up from wait_buf sleep
Commit dfcb9f4f99 ("sctp: deny peeloff operation on asocs with threads

checking waitqueue_active(&asoc->wait) in sctp_do_peeloff().

But it actually doesn't work, as even if waitqueue_active returns false
the waiting sndbuf thread may still not yet hold sk lock. After asoc is
peeled off, sk is not asoc->base.sk any more, then to hold the old sk
lock couldn't make assoc safe to access.

This patch is to fix this by changing to hold the new sk lock if sk is
not asoc->base.sk, meanwhile, also set the sk in sctp_sendmsg with the
new sk.

With this fix, there is no more race between peeloff and waitbuf, the
check 'waitqueue_active' in sctp_do_peeloff can be removed.

ead751507d License cleanup: add SPDX license identifiers to some files
Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.

By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.

Update the files which contain no license information with the 'GPL-2.0'
SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding
shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text.

This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart and
 Philippe Ombredanne.

 How this work was done:

Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset of
 the use cases:
  - file had no licensing information it it.
  - file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,
  - file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,

Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to license
had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.

The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied to
a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of the
output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver) producing SPDX
tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne. Philippe prepared the
base worksheet, and did an initial spot review of a few 1000 files.

The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537 files
assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the scanner
results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license identifier(s)
to be applied to the file. She confirmed any determination that was not
immediately clear with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:
  - Files considered eligible had to be source code files.
  - Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained >5
    lines of source
  - File already had some variant of a license header in it (even if <5
    lines).

All documentation files were explicitly excluded.

The following heuristics were used to determine which SPDX license
 identifiers to apply.

  - when both scanners couldn't find any license traces, file was
considered to have no license information in it, and the top level
    COPYING file license applied.

For non */uapi/* files that summary was:

    SPDX license identifier # files
    ---------------------------------------------------|-------
    GPL-2.0 11139

and resulted in the first patch in this series.

If that file was a */uapi/* path one, it was "GPL-2.0 WITH
Linux-syscall-note" otherwise it was "GPL-2.0". Results of that was:

    SPDX license identifier # files
    ---------------------------------------------------|-------
    GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 930

and resulted in the second patch in this series.

  - if a file had some form of licensing information in it, and was one
of the */uapi/* ones, it was denoted with the Linux-syscall-note if
any GPL family license was found in the file or had no licensing in
it (per prior point). Results summary:

    SPDX license identifier # files
    ---------------------------------------------------|------
    GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 270
    GPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 169
    ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-2-Clause) 21
    ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-3-Clause) 17
    LGPL-2.1+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 15
    GPL-1.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 14
    ((GPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR BSD-3-Clause) 5
    LGPL-2.0+ WITH Linux-syscall-note 4
    LGPL-2.1 WITH Linux-syscall-note 3
    ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) OR MIT) 3
    ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) AND MIT) 1

and that resulted in the third patch in this series.

  - when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that became
    the concluded license(s).

  - when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected a
license but the other didn't, or they both detected different
licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred.

  - In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file
resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply (and
which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics).

  - When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was

In total, over 70 hours of logged manual review was done on the
spreadsheet to determine the SPDX license identifiers to apply to the
source files by Kate, Philippe, Thomas and, in some cases, confirmation
by lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

Kate also obtained a third independent scan of the 4.13 code base from
FOSSology, and compared selected files where the other two scanners
disagreed against that SPDX file, to see if there was new insights. The
Windriver scanner is based on an older version of FOSSology in part, so
 they are related.

Thomas did random spot checks in about 500 files from the spreadsheets
for the uapi headers and agreed with SPDX license identifier in the
files he inspected. For the non-uapi files Thomas did random spot checks
 in about 15000 files.

In initial set of patches against 4.14-rc6, 3 files were found to have
copy/paste license identifier errors, and have been fixed to reflect the
 correct identifier.

Additionally Philippe spent 10 hours this week doing a detailed manual
inspection and review of the 12,461 patched files from the initial patch
 version early this week with:
  - a full scancode scan run, collecting the matched texts, detected
    license ids and scores
  - reviewing anything where there was a license detected (about 500+
files) to ensure that the applied SPDX license was correct
  - reviewing anything where there was no detection but the patch license
was not GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note to ensure that the applied
    SPDX license was correct

This produced a worksheet with 20 files needing minor correction. This
worksheet was then exported into 3 different .csv files for the
different types of files to be modified.

These .csv files were then reviewed by Greg. Thomas wrote a script to
parse the csv files and add the proper SPDX tag to the file, in the
format that the file expected. This script was further refined by Greg
based on the output to detect more types of files automatically and to
distinguish between header and source .c files (which need different
comment types.) Finally Greg ran the script using the .csv files to
 generate the patches.

Pull initial SPDX identifiers from Greg KH:
"License cleanup: add SPDX license identifiers to some files

Many source files in the tree are missing licensing information, which
makes it harder for compliance tools to determine the correct license.

By default all files without license information are under the default
license of the kernel, which is GPL version 2.

Update the files which contain no license information with the
'GPL-2.0' SPDX license identifier. The SPDX identifier is a legally
binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate
  text.

This patch is based on work done by Thomas Gleixner and Kate Stewart
  and Philippe Ombredanne.

  How this work was done:

Patches were generated and checked against linux-4.14-rc6 for a subset
  of the use cases:

   - file had no licensing information it it.

   - file was a */uapi/* one with no licensing information in it,

   - file was a */uapi/* one with existing licensing information,

Further patches will be generated in subsequent months to fix up cases
where non-standard license headers were used, and references to
license had to be inferred by heuristics based on keywords.

The analysis to determine which SPDX License Identifier to be applied
to a file was done in a spreadsheet of side by side results from of
the output of two independent scanners (ScanCode & Windriver)
producing SPDX tag:value files created by Philippe Ombredanne.
Philippe prepared the base worksheet, and did an initial spot review
  of a few 1000 files.

The 4.13 kernel was the starting point of the analysis with 60,537
files assessed. Kate Stewart did a file by file comparison of the
scanner results in the spreadsheet to determine which SPDX license
identifier(s) to be applied to the file. She confirmed any
determination that was not immediately clear with lawyers working with
  the Linux Foundation.

Criteria used to select files for SPDX license identifier tagging was:

   - Files considered eligible had to be source code files.

   - Make and config files were included as candidates if they contained
     >5 lines of source

Results of that
     was:

       SPDX license identifier # files
       ---------------------------------------------------|-------
       GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 930

and resulted in the second patch in this series.

   - if a file had some form of licensing information in it, and was one
of the */uapi/* ones, it was denoted with the Linux-syscall-note if
any GPL family license was found in the file or had no licensing in
it (per prior point). Results summary:

       SPDX license identifier # files
       ---------------------------------------------------|------
       GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note 270

       ((GPL-2.0 WITH Linux-syscall-note) AND MIT) 1

and that resulted in the third patch in this series.

   - when the two scanners agreed on the detected license(s), that
     became the concluded license(s).

   - when there was disagreement between the two scanners (one detected
a license but the other didn't, or they both detected different
licenses) a manual inspection of the file occurred.

   - In most cases a manual inspection of the information in the file
resulted in a clear resolution of the license that should apply
(and which scanner probably needed to revisit its heuristics).

   - When it was not immediately clear, the license identifier was
confirmed with lawyers working with the Linux Foundation.

d04adf1b35 sctp: reset owner sk for data chunks on out queues when migrating a sock
Now when migrating sock to another one in sctp_sock_migrate(), it only
resets owner sk for the data in receive queues, not the chunks on out
queues.

It would cause that data chunks length on the sock is not consistent
with sk sk_wmem_alloc. When closing the sock or freeing these chunks,
the old sk would never be freed, and the new sock may crash due to
the overflow sk_wmem_alloc.

syzbot found this issue with this series:

  r0 = socket$inet_sctp()
  sendto$inet(r0)
  listen(r0)
  accept4(r0)
  close(r0)

Although listen() should have returned error when one TCP-style socket
is in connecting (I may fix this one in another patch), it could also
be reproduced by peeling off an assoc.

This issue is there since very beginning.

This patch is to reset owner sk for the chunks on out queues so that
sk sk_wmem_alloc has correct value after accept one sock or peeloff
an assoc to one sock.

Note that when resetting owner sk for chunks on outqueue, it has to
sctp_clear_owner_w/skb_orphan chunks before changing assoc->base.sk
first and then sctp_set_owner_w them after changing assoc->base.sk,
due to that sctp_wfree and it's callees are using assoc->base.sk.

There were quite a few overlapping sets of changes here.

Daniel's bug fix for off-by-ones in the new BPF branch instructions,
along with the added allowances for "data_end > ptr + x" forms
collided with the metadata additions.

Along with those three changes came veritifer test cases, which in
their final form I tried to group together properly. If I had just
trimmed GIT's conflict tags as-is, this would have split up the
meta tests unnecessarily.

In the socketmap code, a set of preemption disabling changes
overlapped with the rename of bpf_compute_data_end() to
bpf_compute_data_pointers().

Changes were made to the mv88e6060.c driver set addr method
which got removed in net-next.

The hyperv transport socket layer had a locking change in 'net'
which overlapped with a change of socket state macro usage
in 'net-next'.

1cc276cec9 sctp: add the missing sock_owned_by_user check in sctp_icmp_redirect
Now sctp processes icmp redirect packet in sctp_icmp_redirect where
it calls sctp_transport_dst_check in which tp->dst can be released.

The problem is before calling sctp_transport_dst_check, it doesn't
check sock_owned_by_user, which means tp->dst could be freed while
a process is accessing it with owning the socket.

An use-after-free issue could be triggered by this.

This patch is to fix it by checking sock_owned_by_user before calling
sctp_transport_dst_check in sctp_icmp_redirect, so that it would not
release tp->dst if users still hold sock lock.

Besides, the same issue fixed in commit 45caeaa5ac ("dccp/tcp: fix
routing redirect race") on sctp also needs this check.

df80cd9b28 sctp: do not peel off an assoc from one netns to another one
Now when peeling off an association to the sock in another netns, all
transports in this assoc are not to be rehashed and keep use the old
key in hashtable.

As a transport uses sk->net as the hash key to insert into hashtable,
it would miss removing these transports from hashtable due to the new
netns when closing the sock and all transports are being freeed, then
later an use-after-free issue could be caused when looking up an asoc
and dereferencing those transports.

This is a very old issue since very beginning, ChunYu found it with
syzkaller fuzz testing with this series:

  socket$inet6_sctp()
  bind$inet6()
  sendto$inet6()
  unshare(0x40000000)
  getsockopt$inet_sctp6_SCTP_GET_ASSOC_ID_LIST()
  getsockopt$inet_sctp6_SCTP_SOCKOPT_PEELOFF()

This patch is to block this call when peeling one assoc off from one
netns to another one, so that the netns of all transport would not
go out-sync with the key in hashtable.

Note that this patch didn't fix it by rehashing transports, as it's
difficult to handle the situation when the tuple is already in use
in the new netns. Besides, no one would like to peel off one assoc
to another netns, considering ipaddrs, ifaces, etc. are usually
different.

637784ade2 sctp: introduce priority based stream scheduler
This patch introduces RFC Draft ndata section 3.4 Priority Based
Scheduler (SCTP_SS_PRIO).

It works by having a struct sctp_stream_priority for each priority
configured. This struct is then enlisted on a queue ordered per priority
if, and only if, there is a stream with data queued, so that dequeueing
is very straightforward: either finish current datamsg or simply dequeue
from the highest priority queued, which is the next stream pointed, and
that's it.

If there are multiple streams assigned with the same priority and with
data queued, it will do round robin amongst them while respecting
datamsgs boundaries (when not using idata chunks), to be reasonably
fair.

We intentionally don't maintain a list of priorities nor a list of all
streams with the same priority to save memory. The first would mean at
least 2 other pointers per priority (which, for 1000 priorities, that
can mean 16kB) and the second would also mean 2 other pointers but per
stream. As SCTP supports up to 65535 streams on a given asoc, that's
1MB. This impacts when giving a priority to some stream, as we have to
find out if the new priority is already being used and if we can free
the old one, and also when tearing down.

The new fields in struct sctp_stream_out_ext and sctp_stream are added
under a union because that memory is to be shared with other schedulers.

5bbbbe32a4 sctp: introduce stream scheduler foundations
This patch introduces the hooks necessary to do stream scheduling, as
per RFC Draft ndata. It also introduces the first scheduler, which is
what we do today but now factored out: first come first served (FCFS).

With stream scheduling now we have to track which chunk was enqueued on
which stream and be able to select another other than the in front of
the main outqueue. So we introduce a list on sctp_stream_out_ext
structure for this purpose.

We reuse sctp_chunk->transmitted_list space for the list above, as the
chunk cannot belong to the two lists at the same time. By using the
union in there, we can have distinct names for these moments.

sctp_sched_ops are the operations expected to be implemented by each
scheduler. The dequeueing is a bit particular to this implementation but
it is to match how we dequeue packets today. We first dequeue and then
check if it fits the packet and if not, we requeue it at head. Thus why
we don't have a peek operation but have dequeue_done instead, which is
called once the chunk can be safely considered as transmitted.

The check removed from sctp_outq_flush is now performed by
sctp_stream_outq_migrate, which is only called during assoc setup.
(sctp_sendmsg() also checks for it)

The only operation that is foreseen but not yet added here is a way to
signalize that a new packet is starting or that the packet is done, for
round robin scheduler per packet, but is intentionally left to the
patch that actually implements it.

Support for I-DATA chunks, also described in this RFC, with user message
interleaving is straightforward as it just requires the schedulers to
probe for the feature and ignore datamsg boundaries when dequeueing.

f952be79ce sctp: introduce struct sctp_stream_out_ext
With the stream schedulers, sctp_stream_out will become too big to be
allocated by kmalloc and as we need to allocate with BH disabled, we
cannot use __vmalloc in sctp_stream_init().

This patch moves out the stats from sctp_stream_out to
sctp_stream_out_ext, which will be allocated only when the application
tries to sendmsg something on it.

Just the introduction of sctp_stream_out_ext would already fix the issue
described above by splitting the allocation in two. Moving the stats
to it also reduces the pressure on the allocator as we will ask for less
memory atomically when creating the socket and we will use GFP_KERNEL
later.

Then, for stream schedulers, we will just use sctp_stream_out_ext.

d25adbeb0c sctp: fix an use-after-free issue in sctp_sock_dump
Commit 86fdb3448c ("sctp: ensure ep is not destroyed before doing the
dump") tried to fix an use-after-free issue by checking !sctp_sk(sk)->ep
with holding sock and sock lock.

But Paolo noticed that endpoint could be destroyed in sctp_rcv without
sock lock protection. It means the use-after-free issue still could be
triggered when sctp_rcv put and destroy ep after sctp_sock_dump checks
!ep, although it's pretty hard to reproduce.

I could reproduce it by mdelay in sctp_rcv while msleep in sctp_close
and sctp_sock_dump long time.

This patch is to add another param cb_done to sctp_for_each_transport
and dump ep->assocs with holding tsp after jumping out of transport's
traversal in it to avoid this issue.

It can also improve sctp diag dump to make it run faster, as no need
to save sk into cb->args[5] and keep calling sctp_for_each_transport
any more.

This patch is also to use int * instead of int for the pos argument
in sctp_for_each_transport, which could make postion increment only
in sctp_for_each_transport and no need to keep changing cb->args[2]
in sctp_sock_filter and sctp_sock_dump any more.

7906b00f5c sctp: fix missing wake ups in some situations
Commit fb586f2530 ("sctp: delay calls to sk_data_ready() as much as
possible") minimized the number of wake ups that are triggered in case
the association receives a packet with multiple data chunks on it and/or
when io_events are enabled and then commit 0970f5b366 ("sctp: signal
sk_data_ready earlier on data chunks reception") moved the wake up to as
soon as possible. It thus relies on the state machine running later to
clean the flag that the event was already generated.

The issue is that there are 2 call paths that calls
sctp_ulpq_tail_event() outside of the state machine, causing the flag to
linger and possibly omitting a needed wake up in the sequence.

One of the call paths is when enabling SCTP_SENDER_DRY_EVENTS via
setsockopt(SCTP_EVENTS), as noticed by Harald Welte. The other is when
partial reliability triggers removal of chunks from the send queue when
the application calls sendmsg().

This commit fixes it by not setting the flag in case the socket is not
owned by the user, as it won't be cleaned later. This works for
user-initiated calls and also for rx path processing.

ee6c88bb75 sctp: Avoid out-of-bounds reads from address storage
inet_diag_msg_sctp{,l}addr_fill() and sctp_get_sctp_info() copy
sizeof(sockaddr_storage) bytes to fill in sockaddr structs used
to export diagnostic information to userspace.

However, the memory allocated to store sockaddr information is
smaller than that and depends on the address family, so we leak
up to 100 uninitialized bytes to userspace. Just use the size of
the source structs instead, in all the three cases this is what
userspace expects. Zero out the remaining memory.

Unused bytes (i.e. when IPv4 addresses are used) in source
structs sctp_sockaddr_entry and sctp_transport are already
cleared by sctp_add_bind_addr() and sctp_transport_new(),
respectively.

15339e441e sctp: fully initialize the IPv6 address in sctp_v6_to_addr()
KMSAN reported use of uninitialized sctp_addr->v4.sin_addr.s_addr and
sctp_addr->v6.sin6_scope_id in sctp_v6_cmp_addr() (see below).
Make sure all fields of an IPv6 address are initialized, which
guarantees that the IPv4 fields are also initialized.

327c0dab8d sctp: fix some indents in sm_make_chunk.c
There are some bad indents of functions' defination in sm_make_chunk.c.
They have been there since beginning, it was probably caused by that
the typedef sctp_chunk_t was replaced with struct sctp_chunk.

So it's the best time to fix them in this patchset, it's also to fix
some bad indents in other functions' defination in sm_make_chunk.c.

10b3bf5440 sctp: fix an array overflow when all ext chunks are set
Marcelo noticed an array overflow caused by commit c28445c3cb
("sctp: add reconf_enable in asoc ep and netns"), in which sctp
would add SCTP_CID_RECONF into extensions when reconf_enable is
set in sctp_make_init and sctp_make_init_ack.

Then now when all ext chunks are set, 4 ext chunk ids can be put
into extensions array while extensions array size is 3. It would
cause a kernel panic because of this overflow.

This patch is to fix it by defining extensions array size is 4 in
both sctp_make_init and sctp_make_init_ack.

2cb5c8e378 sctp: Add peeloff-flags socket option
Based on a request raised on the sctp devel list, there is a need to
augment the sctp_peeloff operation while specifying the O_CLOEXEC and
O_NONBLOCK flags (simmilar to the socket syscall). Since modifying the
SCTP_SOCKOPT_PEELOFF socket option would break user space ABI for existing
programs, this patch creates a new socket option
SCTP_SOCKOPT_PEELOFF_FLAGS, which accepts a third flags parameter to
allow atomic assignment of the socket descriptor flags.

Tested successfully by myself and the requestor

a02d036c02 sctp: adjust ssthresh when transport is idle
RFC 4960 Errata 3.27 identifies that ssthresh should be adjusted to cwnd
because otherwise it could cause the transport to lock into congestion
avoidance phase specially if ssthresh was previously reduced by some
packet drop, leading to poor performance.

The Errata says to adjust ssthresh to cwnd only once, though the same
goal is achieved by updating it every time we update cwnd too. The
caveat is that we could take longer to get back up to speed but that
should be compensated by the fact that we don't adjust on RTO basis (as
RFC says) but based on Heartbeats, which are usually way longer.

4ccbd0b0b9 sctp: adjust cwnd increase in Congestion Avoidance phase
RFC4960 Errata 3.26 identified that at the same time RFC4960 states that
cwnd should never grow more than 1*MTU per RTT, Section 7.2.2 was
underspecified and as described could allow increasing cwnd more than
that.

This patch updates it so partial_bytes_acked is maxed to cwnd if
flight_size doesn't reach cwnd, protecting it from such case.

e56f777af8 sctp: allow increasing cwnd regardless of ctsn moving or not
As per RFC4960 Errata 3.22, this condition is not needed anymore as it
could cause the partial_bytes_acked to not consider the TSNs acked in

This patch thus drops the check for new Cumulative TSN Ack Point,

d0b53f4097 sctp: update order of adjustments of partial_bytes_acked and cwnd
RFC4960 Errata 3.12 says RFC4960 is unclear about the order of
adjustments applied to partial_bytes_acked and cwnd in the congestion
avoidance phase, and that the actual order should be:
partial_bytes_acked is reset to (partial_bytes_acked - cwnd). Next, cwnd
is increased by MTU.

We were first increasing cwnd, and then subtracting the new value pba,
which leads to a different result as pba is smaller than what it should
and could cause cwnd to not grow as much.

8cd5c25f2d sctp: uncork the old asoc before changing to the new one
local_cork is used to decide if it should uncork asoc outq after processing
some cmds, and it is set when replying or sending msgs. local_cork should
always have the same value with current asoc q->cork in some way.

The thing is when changing to a new asoc by cmd SET_ASOC, local_cork may
not be consistent with the current asoc any more. The cmd seqs can be:

  SCTP_CMD_UPDATE_ASSOC (asoc)
  SCTP_CMD_REPLY (asoc)
  SCTP_CMD_SET_ASOC (new_asoc)
  SCTP_CMD_DELETE_TCB (new_asoc)
  SCTP_CMD_SET_ASOC (asoc)
  SCTP_CMD_REPLY (asoc)

The 1st REPLY makes OLD asoc q->cork and local_cork both are 1, and the cmd
DELETE_TCB clears NEW asoc q->cork and local_cork. After asoc goes back to
OLD asoc, q->cork is still 1 while local_cork is 0. The 2nd REPLY will not
set local_cork because q->cork is already set and it can't be uncorked and
sent out because of this.

To keep local_cork consistent with the current asoc q->cork, this patch is
to uncork the old asoc if local_cork is set before changing to the new one.

Note that the above cmd seqs will be used in the next patch when updating
asoc and handling errors in it.

988c732211 sctp: return next obj by passing pos + 1 into sctp_transport_get_idx
In sctp_for_each_transport, pos is used to save how many objs it has
dumped. Now it gets the last obj by sctp_transport_get_idx, then gets
the next obj by sctp_transport_get_next.

The issue is that in the meanwhile if some objs in transport hashtable
are removed and the objs nums are less than pos, sctp_transport_get_idx
would return NULL and hti.walker.tbl is NULL as well. At this moment
it should stop hti, instead of continue getting the next obj. Or it
would cause a NULL pointer dereference in sctp_transport_get_next.

This patch is to pass pos + 1 into sctp_transport_get_idx to get the
next obj directly, even if pos > objs nums, it would return NULL and
stop hti.

DRAM supply shortage and poor memory pressure tracking in TCP

TCPMemoryPressures SNMP counter is an indication of tcp_mem sysctl

If TCP stack behavior under stress was perfect :
1) It would maintain memory usage close to the limit.

We certainly prefer 100 events lasting 10ms compared to one event
