the vmalloc space with a guard page for trapping stack overflows. One
of the patches introduces THREAD_ALIGN and changes the generic
alloc_thread_stack_node() to use this instead of THREAD_SIZE (no
functional change for other architectures)
- Contiguous PTE hugetlb support re-enabled (after being reverted a
couple of times). We now have the semantics agreed in the generic mm
layer together with API improvements so that the architecture code can
detect between contiguous and non-contiguous huge PTEs

Currently it's done in the macro, which is not the best idea.

Currently mm->context.flags field uses thread_info flags which is not
the best idea for many reasons. For example, mm_context_t doesn't need
most of thread_info flags. And it would be difficult to add new mm-related
flag if needed because it may easily interfere with TIF ones.
To deal with it, the new MMCF_AARCH32 flag is introduced for
mm_context_t->flags, where MMCF prefix stands for mm_context_t flags.
Also, mm_context_t flag doesn't require atomicity and ordering of the
access, so using set/clear_bit() is replaced with simple masks.

Moving the x86_64 and arm64 PIE base from 0x555555554000 to 0x000100000000
broke AddressSanitizer. This is a partial revert of:
eab09532d4 ("binfmt_elf: use ELF_ET_DYN_BASE only for PIE")
02445990a9 ("arm64: move ELF_ET_DYN_BASE to 4GB / 4MB")
The AddressSanitizer tool has hard-coded expectations about where
executable mappings are loaded.
The motivation for changing the PIE base in the above commits was to
avoid the Stack-Clash CVEs that allowed executable mappings to get too
close to heap and stack. This was mainly a problem on 32-bit, but the
64-bit bases were moved too, in an effort to proactively protect those
systems (proofs of concept do exist that show 64-bit collisions, but
other recent changes to fix stack accounting and setuid behaviors will
minimize the impact).
The new 32-bit PIE base is fine for ASan (since it matches the ET_EXEC
base), so only the 64-bit PIE base needs to be reverted to let x86 and
arm64 ASan binaries run again. Future changes to the 64-bit PIE base on
these architectures can be made optional once a more dynamic method for
dealing with AddressSanitizer is found. (e.g. always loading PIE into
the mmap region for marked binaries.)

Now that explicitly executed loaders are loaded in the mmap region, we
have more freedom to decide where we position PIE binaries in the
address space to avoid possible collisions with mmap or stack regions.
For 64-bit, align to 4GB to allow runtimes to use the entire 32-bit
address space for 32-bit pointers. On 32-bit use 4MB, to match ARM.
This could be 0x8000, the standard ET_EXEC load address, but that is
needlessly close to the NULL address, and anyone running arm compat PIE
will have an MMU, so the tight mapping is not needed.

Like arch/arm/, we inherit the READ_IMPLIES_EXEC personality flag across
fork(). This is undesirable for a number of reasons:
* ELF files that don't require executable stack can end up with it
anyway
* We end up performing un-necessary I-cache maintenance when mapping
what should be non-executable pages
* Restricting what is executable is generally desirable when defending
against overflow attacks
This patch clears the personality flag when setting up the personality for
newly spwaned native tasks. Given that semi-recent AArch64 toolchains emit
a non-executable PT_GNU_STACK header, userspace applications can already
not rely on READ_IMPLIES_EXEC so shouldn't be adversely affected by this
change.

We need to decide in some cases like uprobe instruction analysis that
whether the current mm context belongs to a 32 bit task or 64 bit.
This patch has introduced an unsigned flag variable in mm_context_t.
Currently, we set and clear TIF_32BIT depending on the condition that
whether an elf binary load sets personality for 32 bit or 64 bit
respectively.

AT_VECTOR_SIZE_ARCH should be defined with the maximum number of
NEW_AUX_ENT entries that ARCH_DLINFO can contain, but it wasn't defined
for arm64 at all even though ARCH_DLINFO will contain one NEW_AUX_ENT
for the VDSO address.
This shouldn't be a problem as AT_VECTOR_SIZE_BASE includes space for
AT_BASE_PLATFORM which arm64 doesn't use, but lets define it now and add
the comment above ARCH_DLINFO as found in several other architectures to
remind future modifiers of ARCH_DLINFO to keep AT_VECTOR_SIZE_ARCH up to
date.

This implements CONFIG_RELOCATABLE, which links the final vmlinux
image with a dynamic relocation section, allowing the early boot code
to perform a relocation to a different virtual address at runtime.
This is a prerequisite for KASLR (CONFIG_RANDOMIZE_BASE).

The arch_randomize_brk() function is used on several architectures,
even those that don't support ET_DYN ASLR. To avoid bulky extern/#define
tricks, consolidate the support under CONFIG_ARCH_HAS_ELF_RANDOMIZE for
the architectures that support it, while still handling CONFIG_COMPAT_BRK.

In preparation for splitting out ET_DYN ASLR, this refactors the use of
mmap_rnd() to be used similarly to arm and x86. This additionally
enables mmap ASLR on legacy mmap layouts, which appeared to be missing
on arm64, and was already supported on arm. Additionally removes a
copy/pasted declaration of an unused function.

When user asks to turn off ASLR by writing "0" to
/proc/sys/kernel/randomize_va_space there should not be
any randomization to mmap base, stack, VDSO, libs, text and heap
Currently arm64 violates this behavior by randomising text.
Fix this by defining a constant ELF_ET_DYN_BASE. The randomisation of
mm->mmap_base is done by setup_new_exec -> arch_pick_mmap_layout ->
mmap_base -> mmap_rnd.

The kernel's internal definition of ELF_NGREG uses struct pt_regs, which
means that we disagree with userspace on the size of coredumps since
glibc correctly uses the user-visible struct user_pt_regs.
This patch fixes our ELF_NGREG definition to use struct user_pt_regs
and introduces our own ELF_CORE_COPY_REGS to convert between the user
and kernel structure definitions.

struct user_fp does not exist for arm64, so use struct user_fpsimd_state
instead for the ELF core dumping definitions. Furthermore, since we use
regset-based core dumping, we do not need definitions for dump_task_regs
and dump_fpu.
