In vop_crtc_mode_fixup() we fixup the mode to show what we actually
will be able to achieve. However we should base our adjustments on
any previous adjustments that were made.
As an example, the dw_hdmi driver may wish to make some small
adjustments to clock rates in its atomic_check() function. If it
does, it will update the adjusted_mode. We shouldn't throw away those
adjustments.
NOTE: the version of the dw_hdmi driver upstream doesn't _actually_
make such adjustments, but downstream in Chrome OS it does. It is
plausible that one day we'll figure out how to cleanly make that
happen in an upstream-friendly way, so we should prepare by using the
right mode.

When fixing up the clock in vop_crtc_mode_fixup() we're not doing it
quite correctly. Specifically if we've got the true clock 266666667 Hz,
we'll perform this calculation:
266666667 / 1000 => 266666
Later when we try to set the clock we'll do clk_set_rate(266666 *
1000). The common clock framework won't actually pick the proper clock
in this case since it always wants clocks <= the specified one.
Let's solve this by using DIV_ROUND_UP.

On Rockchip rk3288-based Chromebooks when you do a suspend/resume
cycle:
1. You lose the ability to detect an HDMI device being plugged in.
2. If you're using the i2c bus built in to dw_hdmi then it stops
working.
Let's call the core dw-hdmi's suspend/resume functions to restore
things.
NOTE: in downstream Chrome OS (based on kernel 3.14) we used the
"late/early" versions of suspend/resume because we found that the VOP
was sometimes resuming before dw_hdmi and then calling into us before
we were fully resumed. For now I have gone back to the normal
suspend/resume because I can't reproduce the problems.

In the case of async update, modifications are done in place, i.e. in the
current plane state, so the new_state is prepared and the new_state is
cleaned up (instead of the old_state, unlike what happens in a
normal sync update).
To cleanup the old_fb properly, it needs to be placed in the new_state
in the end of async_update, so cleanup call will unreference the old_fb
correctly.
Also, the previous code had a:
plane_state = plane->funcs->atomic_duplicate_state(plane);
...
swap(plane_state, plane->state);
if (plane->state->fb && plane->state->fb != new_state->fb) {
...
}
Which was wrong, as the fb were just assigned to be equal, so this if
statement nevers evaluates to true.
Another details is that the function drm_crtc_vblank_get() can only be
called when vop->is_enabled is true, otherwise it has no effect and
trows a WARN_ON().
Calling drm_atomic_set_fb_for_plane() (which get a referent of the new
fb and pus the old fb) is not required, as it is taken care by
drm_mode_cursor_universal() when calling
drm_atomic_helper_update_plane().

So far, the drm_format_plane_cpp function was operating on the format's
fourcc and was doing a lookup to retrieve the drm_format_info structure and
return the cpp.
However, this is inefficient since in most cases, we will have the
drm_format_info pointer already available so we shouldn't have to perform a
new lookup. Some drm_fourcc functions also already operate on the
drm_format_info pointer for that reason, so the API is quite inconsistent
there.
Let's follow the latter pattern and remove the extra lookup while being a
bit more consistent. In order to be extra consistent, also rename that
function to drm_format_info_plane_cpp and to a static function in the
header to match the current policy.

drm_format_horz_chroma_subsampling and drm_format_vert_chroma_subsampling
are basically a lookup in the drm_format_info table plus an access to the
hsub and vsub fields of the appropriate entry.
Most drivers are using this function while having access to the entry
already, which means that we will perform an unnecessary lookup. Removing
the call to these functions is therefore more efficient.
Some drivers will not have access to that entry in the function, but in
this case the overhead is minimal (we just have to call drm_format_info()
to perform the lookup) and we can even avoid multiple, inefficient lookups
in some places that need multiple fields from the drm_format_info
structure.
This is amplified by the fact that most of the time the callers will have
to retrieve both the vsub and hsub fields, meaning that they would perform
twice the lookup.

As explained by Robin Murphy:
> the IOMMU shutdown disables paging, so if the VOP is still
> scanning out then that will result in whatever IOVAs it was using now going
> straight out onto the bus as physical addresses.
We had a more radical approach before in commit
7f3ef5dedb ("drm/rockchip: Allow driver to be shutdown on reboot/kexec")
but that resulted in new warnings and oopses on shutdown on rk3399
chromeos devices.
So second try is resurrecting Vicentes shutdown change which should
achieve the same result but in a less drastic way.

The RK3066 HDMI TX serves as interface between a LCD Controller and
a HDMI bus. A HDMI TX consists of one HDMI transmitter controller and
one HDMI transmitter PHY. The interface has three (3) 8-bit data channels
which can be configured for a number of bus widths (8/10/12/16/20/24-bit)
and different video formats (RGB, YCbCr).
Features:
HDMI version 1.4a, HDCP revision 1.4 and
DVI version 1.0 compliant transmitter.
Supports DTV resolutions from 480i to 1080i/p HD.
Master I2C interface for a DDC connection.
HDMI TX supports multiple power save modes.
The HDMI TX input can switch between LCDC0 and LCDC1.

KMS drivers really should all be able to restore their display state
on resume without fbcon helping out. So make this the default.
Since I'm not entirely foolish, make it only a default, which drivers
can still override. That way when the inevitable regression report
happens I can fix things up with a one-liner plus FIXME comment that
someone should fix up the suspend/resume code in that driver.
But at least all new drivers won't be broken by accident as soon as
you turn off fbcon because "suspend/resume worked when I tested it".

NV12 framebuffers produced by the VPU shows distorted on RK3288
after win has been disabled when scaling is active.
This issue can be reproduced using a 1080p modeset by:
- Scale a 1280x720 NV12 framebuffer to 1920x1080 on win0
- Disable win0
- Display a 1920x1080 NV12 framebuffer without scaling on win0
- Output will now show the framebuffer distorted
And by:
- Scale a 1280x720 NV12 framebuffer to 1920x1080
- Change to a 720p modeset (win gets disabled and scaling reset to none)
- Output will now show the framebuffer distorted
Fix this by setting scale mode to none when win is disabled.

Having the probe helper stuff (which pretty much everyone needs) in
the drm_crtc_helper.h file (which atomic drivers should never need) is
confusing. Split them out.
To make sure I actually achieved the goal here I went through all
drivers. And indeed, all atomic drivers are now free of
drm_crtc_helper.h includes.
v2: Make it compile. There was so much compile fail on arm drivers
that I figured I'll better not include any of the acks on v1.
v3: Massive rebase because i915 has lost a lot of drmP.h includes, but
not all: Through drm_crtc_helper.h > drm_modeset_helper.h -> drmP.h
there was still one, which this patch largely removes. Which means
rolling out lots more includes all over.
This will also conflict with ongoing drmP.h cleanup by others I
expect.
v3: Rebase on top of atomic bochs.
v4: Review from Laurent for bridge/rcar/omap/shmob/core bits:
- (re)move some of the added includes, use the better include files in
other places (all suggested from Laurent adopted unchanged).
- sort alphabetically
v5: Actually try to sort them, and while at it, sort all the ones I
touch.

This patch adds the rk3066 VOP definitions.
The VOP or LCD Controller serves as interface between
framebuffer memory and a display device (LCD panel or TV set).
This SOC has two symmetrical LCDC's for a dual panel application.
A LCDC has 5 display layers.
Only 3 are used here.
- Video layer 0 (Win0)
- Video layer 1 (Win1)
- OSD layer (Win2)
Win0 and Win1 are exchangeable.
Maximum resolution is 1920x1080.
The LCDC0 output is connected to:
- LCDC0 IO (without IOMUX)
- HDMI TX video input
The LCDC1 output is connected to:
- LCDC1 IO (with IOMUX)
- HDMI TX video input
The HDMI TX input can switch between LCDC0 and LCDC1.

Add the KMS plane rotation property to the DRM rockchip driver,
for SoCs RK3328, RK3368 and RK3399.
RK3288 only supports rotation at the display level (i.e. CRTC),
but for now we are only interested in plane rotation.
This commit only adds support for the value of reflect-y
and reflect-x (i.e. mirroring).
Note that y-mirroring is not compatible with YUV.
The following modetest commands would test this feature,
where 30 is the plane ID, and 49 = rotate_0 + relect_y + reflect_x.
X mirror:
modetest -s 43@33:1920x1080@XR24 -w 30:rotation:17

Currently, YUV hardware overlays are converted to RGB using
a color space conversion different than BT.601.
The result is that colors of e.g. NV12 buffers don't match
colors of YUV hardware overlays.

Render like lima will attach a fence to the framebuffer dma_buf,
so the display driver should wait for it to finish before showing
the framebufferto prevent tearing.
Generally tested on rk3188, rk3288, rk3328 and rk3399 and
together with an actual lima-based kmscube on rk3188 and rk3328.

This reverts commit 7f3ef5dedb.
It causes new warnings [1] on shutdown when running the Google Kevin or
Scarlet (RK3399) boards under Chrome OS. Presumably our usage of DRM is
different than what Marc and Heiko test.
We're looking at a different approach (e.g., [2]) to replace this, but
IMO the revert should be taken first, as it already propagated to
-stable.

Some of the functions (like cdn_dp_dpcd_read, cdn_dp_get_edid_block)
allow to read 64KiB, but the cdn_dp_mailbox_read_receive, that is
used by them, can read only up to 255 bytes at once. Normally, it's
not a big issue as DPCD or EDID reads won't (hopefully) exceed that
value.
The real issue here is the revocation list read during the HDCP
authentication process. (problematic use case:
https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromiumos/third_party/kernel/+/chromeos-4.4/drivers/gpu/drm/rockchip/cdn-dp-reg.c#1152)
The list can reach 127*5+4 bytes (num devs * 5 bytes per ID/Bksv +
4 bytes of an additional info).
In other words - CTSes with HDCP Repeater won't pass without this
fix. Oh, and the driver will most likely stop working (best case
scenario).

Add the Rockchip-sepcific dual-dsi setup and hook it into the VOP as well.
As described in the general dual-dsi devicetree binding, the panel should
define two input ports and point each of them to one of the used dsi-

When using special phy handling operations we'll often need access to
the rockchip_hdmi struct.
As the chip-data that occupies the phy_data pointer initially gets
assigned to the rockchip_hdmi struct, we can now re-use this phy_data
pointer to hold the reference to the rockchip_hdmi struct and use this
reference later on.
Inspiration for this comes from meson and sunxi dw-hdmi, which are using

Leaving the DRM driver enabled on reboot or kexec has the annoying
effect of leaving the display generating transactions whilst the
IOMMU has been shut down.
In turn, the IOMMU driver (which shares its interrupt line with
the VOP) starts warning either on shutdown or when entering the
secondary kernel in the kexec case (nothing is expected on that
front).
A cheap way of ensuring that things are nicely shut down is to
register a shutdown callback in the platform driver.

One of the more common cases of allocation size calculations is finding
the size of a structure that has a zero-sized array at the end, along
with memory for some number of elements for that array. For example:
struct foo {
int stuff;
void *entry[];
};
instance = devm_kzalloc(dev, sizeof(struct foo) + sizeof(void *) * count, GFP_KERNEL);
or, like in this particular case:
size = sizeof(struct foo) + sizeof(void *) * count;
instance = devm_kzalloc(dev, size, GFP_KERNEL);
Instead of leaving these open-coded and prone to type mistakes, we can
now use the new struct_size() helper:
instance = devm_kzalloc(dev, struct_size(instance, entry, count),
GFP_KERNEL);

Right now, the DRM panel logic returns NULL when a panel pointing to
the passed OF node is not present in the list of registered panels.
Most drivers interpret this NULL value as -EPROBE_DEFER, but we are
about to modify the semantic of of_drm_find_panel() and let the
framework return -ENODEV when the device node we're pointing to has
a status property that is not equal to "okay" or "ok".
Let's first patch the of_drm_find_panel() implementation to return
ERR_PTR(-EPROBE_DEFER) instead of NULL and patch all callers to replace
the '!panel' check by an 'IS_ERR(panel)' one.

The vop irq is shared between vop and iommu and irq probing in the
iommu driver moved to the probe function recently. This can in some
cases lead to a stall if the irq is triggered while the vop driver
still has it disabled, but the vop irq handler gets called.
But there is no real need to disable the irq, as the vop can simply
also track its enabled state and ignore irqs in that case.
For this we can simply check the power-domain state of the vop,
similar to how the iommu driver does it.
So remove the enable/disable handling and add appropriate condition
to the irq handler.

Blending win0 with the background color doesn't seem to work
correctly. We only get the background color, no matter the contents of
the win0 framebuffer. However, blending pre-multiplied color with the
default opaque black default background color is a no-op, so we can
just disable blending to get the correct result.

It is not used anymore after last changes and it was not even correct to
begin with as it assumed a 1:1 relation between a CRTC and encoder,
while in fact a CRTC can be attached to multiple encoders.

Currently PSR flush is triggered from CRTC's .atomic_begin() callback,
which is executed after modeset disables and enables and before plane
updates are committed. Since PSR flush and re-enable can be triggered
asynchronously by external sources (input event, delayed work), it can
race with hardware programming done in the aforementioned stages.
This patch blocks the PSR completely before hardware programming part
begins and unblock after it ends. This relies on reference counted PSR
disable introduced with previous patch.

Currently both rockchip_drm_psr_activate() and _deactivate() only set the
boolean "active" flag without actually making sure that hardware state
complies with it.
Since we are going to extend the usage of this API to properly lock PSR
for the duration of atomic commits, we change the semantics in following
way:
- a counter is used to track the number of inhibit requests,
- PSR is actually disabled in hardware on first inhibit request,
- PSR enable work is scheduled on last allow request.
The above allows using the API as a way to deterministically synchronize
PSR state changes with other DRM events, i.e. atomic commits and cursor
updates. As a nice side effect, the naming is sorted out and we have
"inhibit" for stopping the software logic and "enable" for hardware
state.

The first time after we call rockchip_drm_do_flush() after
rockchip_drm_psr_register(), we go from PSR_DISABLE to PSR_FLUSH. The
difference between PSR_DISABLE and PSR_FLUSH is whether or not we have a
delayed work pending - PSR is off in either state. However
psr_set_state() only catches the transition from PSR_FLUSH to
PSR_DISABLE (which never happens), while going from PSR_DISABLE to
PSR_FLUSH triggers a call to psr->set() to disable PSR while it's
already disabled. This triggers the eDP PHY power-on sequence without
being shut down first and this seems to occasionally leave the encoder
unable to later enable PSR. Let's just simplify the state machine and
simply consider PSR_DISABLE and PSR_FLUSH the same state.

Some of the platform-specific stuff in rockchip_dp_poweron() needs to
happen before the generic code. Some needs to happen after. Let's
split the callback in two.
Specifically we can't start doing PSR work until _after_ the whole
controller is up, so don't set the enable until the end.

Some encoder have a crc verification check, crc check fail if
input and output data is not equal.
That means encoder input and output need use same color depth,
vop can output 10bit data to encoder, but some panel only support
8bit depth, that would make crc check die.
So pre dither down vop data to 8bit if panel's bpc is 8.
