drm/sun4i: backend: Support YUV planes
Now that we have the guarantee that we will have only a single YUV plane,
actually support them. The way it works is not really straightforward,
since we first need to enable the YUV mode in the plane that we want to
setup, and then we have a few registers to setup the YUV buffer and
parameters.

We also need to setup the color correction to actually have something
displayed.

drm/sun4i: Add support for A80 TCONs
The Allwinner A80 SoC has 2 documented TCONs. The display pipeline
diagram from the user manual shows a third TCON, but it's missing
an interrupt line, and its registers are not explained either.
It's also not used in Allwinner's vendor BSP.

The first TCON only has channel 0, for LCD panel output. The TCON
hardware setup is peculiar in that the eDP reset must also be
deasserted to allow access to the TCON. How the eDP module is wired
in the SoC itself is never explained.

The second TCON only has channel 1, and its output is connected to
the HDMI encoder block.

This patch adds a "needs_edp_reset" field to the tcon quirks structure,
and adds quirks and compatible strings for the 2 documented TCONs.

drm/sun4i: Handle DRM_BUS_FLAG_PIXDATA_*EDGE
Handle both positive and negative dclk polarity,
according to bus_flags, taking care of this:

On A20 and similar SoCs, the only way to achieve Positive Edge
(Rising Edge), is setting dclk clock phase to 2/3(240°).
By default TCON works in Negative Edge(Falling Edge), this is why phase
is set to 0 in that case.
Unfortunately there's no way to logically invert dclk through IO_POL
register.
The only acceptable way to work, triple checked with scope,
is using clock phase set to 0° for Negative Edge and set to 240° for
Positive Edge.
On A33 and similar SoCs there would be a 90° phase option, but it divides
also dclk by 2.
This patch is a way to avoid quirks all around TCON and DOTCLOCK drivers
for using A33 90° phase divided by 2 and consequently increase code
complexity.

drm/sun4i: Fix exclusivity of the TCON clocks
Currently the exclusivity is enabled when the rate is set by
the mode setting functions. These functions are called by
mode_set_nofb callback of drm_crc_helper. Then exclusivity
is disabled when tcon is disabled by atomic_disable
callback.

What happens is that mode_set_nofb can be called once when
mode changes, and afterwards the system can call atomic_enable
and atomic_disable multiple times without further calls to
mode_set_nofb.

This happens:

mode_set_nofb - clk exclusivity is enabled
atomic_enable
atomic_disable - clk exclusivity is disabled
atomic_enable
atomic_disable - clk exclusivity is already disabled, leading to WARN
                  in clk_rate_exclusive_put

Solution is to enable exclusivity in sun4i_tcon_channel_set_status.

bc4fde30e5 drm/sun4i: Use drm_mode_get_hv_timing() to populate plane clip rectangle
Use drm_mode_get_hv_timing() to fill out the plane clip rectangle.

Note that this replaces crtc_state->adjusted_mode usage with
crtc_state->mode. The latter is the correct choice since that's the
mode the user provided and it matches the plane crtc coordinates
the user also provided.

Once everyone agrees on this we can move the clip handling into
drm_atomic_helper_check_plane_state().

Merge tag 'drm-for-v4.16' of git://people.freedesktop.org/~airlied/linux

Pull drm updates from Dave Airlie:
"This seems to have been a comparatively quieter merge window, I assume
due to holidays etc. The "biggest" change is AMD header cleanups, which
merge/remove a bunch of them. The AMD gpu scheduler is now being made generic
with the etnaviv driver wanting to reuse the code, hopefully other drivers
can go in the same direction.

Otherwise it's the usual lots of stuff in i915/amdgpu, not so much stuff
  elsewhere.

  Core:
   - Add .last_close and .output_poll_changed helpers to reduce driver footprints
   - Fix plane clipping
   - Improved debug printing support
   - Add panel orientation property
   - Update edid derived properties at edid setting
   - Reduction in fbdev driver footprint
   - Move amdgpu scheduler into core for other drivers to use.

drm/sun4i: backend: Make sure we don't have a commit pending
If we try to read the backend registers while it fetches the new values, we
end up with the value of some random register instead of the one we asked

In order to prevent that, let's make sure that the very first thing we do
during our atomic modesetting is to let the commit bit come to a rest.

We don't have to worry about anything else since the only time we will

drm/sun4i: backend: Add a custom atomic_check for the frontend
Now that we have everything in place, we can start enabling the frontend.
This is more difficult than one would assume since there can only be one
plane using the frontend per-backend.

We therefore need to make sure that the userspace will not try to setup
multiple planes using it, since that would be impossible. In order to
prevent that, we can create an atomic_check callback that will check that
only one plane will effectively make use of the frontend in a given
configuration, and will toggle the switch in that plane state so that the
proper setup function can do their role.

When I connected my cubieboard running 4.15-rc1 to my 4k display I got no

pixelclock limit of the HDMI output, so X selects a 4kp60 format at 594

The patch below adds a check for the upper bound of what this hardware can
do, and it checks if the requested tmds clock can be obtained.

It also allows for the +/- 0.5% pixel clock variation that the HDMI spec permits.

That code is based on commit 22d0be2a55 ("drm: arcpgu: Allow some clock

Current code sets alpha mode to global alpha mode and global alpha

reasons:

- only one plane is active and thus it can be blended only with

- it will hinder proper blending when more than one plane is supported
