1eff7002e3 net: ethernet: et131x: constify ethtool_ops structures
Check for ethtool_ops structures that are only stored in the ethtool_ops
field of a net_device structure or passed as the second argument to
netdev_set_default_ethtool_ops. These contexts are declared const, so
ethtool_ops structures that have these properties can be declared as const
also.

The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows:

de702da7a8 et131x: Fix logical vs bitwise check in et131x_tx_timeout()
We should be using a logical check here instead of a bitwise operation
to check if the device is closed already in et131x_tx_timeout().

adc01582e3 net: ethernet: et131x: use phy_ethtool_{get|set}_link_ksettings
There are two generics functions phy_ethtool_{get|set}_link_ksettings,
so we can use them instead of defining the same code in the driver.

a0bbb9fe2e net: ethernet: et131x: use phydev from struct net_device
The private structure contain a pointer to phydev, but the structure
net_device already contain such pointer. So we can remove the pointer
phydev in the private structure, and update the driver to use the
one contained in struct net_device.

Replace all trans_start updates with netif_trans_update helper.
change was done via spatch:

e5a03bfd87 phy: Add an mdio_device structure
Not all devices attached to an MDIO bus are phys. So add an
mdio_device structure to represent the generic parts of an mdio
device, and place this structure into the phy_device.

138b15ed87 drivers/net: remove all references to obsolete Ethernet-HOWTO
This howto made sense in the 1990s when users had to manually configure
ISA cards with jumpers or vendor utilities, but with the implementation
of PCI it became increasingly less and less relevant, to the point where
it has been well over a decade since I last updated it. And there is
no value in anyone else taking over updating it either.

However the references to it continue to spread as boiler plate text
from one Kconfig file into the next. We are not doing end users any
favours by pointing them at this old document, so lets kill it with
fire, once and for all, to hopefully stop any further spread.

No code is changed in this commit, just Kconfig help text.

bc2f3873f7 et131x: use msecs_to_jiffies for conversions
This is only an API consolidation and should make things more readable.
Converting milliseconds to jiffies by "val * HZ / 1000" is technically
OK but msecs_to_jiffies(val) is the cleaner solution and handles all
corner cases correctly. This is a minor API cleanup only.

38df6492eb et131x: Add PCIe gigabit ethernet driver et131x to drivers/net
This adds the ethernet driver for Agere et131x devices to
drivers/net/ethernet.

The driver being added has been in the staging tree for some time, and will be
removed from there in a seperate patch. This one merely disables the staging
version to prevent two instances being built.
