On errors, if we don't stop the descriptor chain, it may continue to
run and raise IRQ after we have called mmc_request_done(). This is bad
because we won't be able to get cmd anymore and properly deal with the
IRQ.
This patch makes sure the descriptor chain is stopped before
calling mmc_request_done()

The host controllers on TI's AM654 SOCs are not compatible with
the phy and consumer model of the sdhci-of-arasan driver. It turns out
that for optimal operation at higher speeds, a special tuning procedure
needs to be implemented which involves configuration of platform
specific phy registers.
Therefore, branch out to a new sdhci_am654 driver and add the phy
register space with all phy configurations to it. Populate AM654
specific callbacks to sdhci_ops and add SDHCI_QUIRKS wherever
applicable.
Only add support for upto High Speed for SD card and upto DDR52 speed
mode for eMMC. Higher speeds will be added in subsequent patches.

The rtsx USB parent device, has logic to detect when a card is inserted
into the card slot. Although, the logic can't detect when a card is
removed. This makes things a bit tricky, which is why the current method is
simply to turn on MMC_CAP_NEEDS_POLL during probe.
Using MMC_CAP_NEEDS_POLL means lots of energy being wasted, as the mmc host
becomes runtime resumed frequently by the mmc core, while it polls for new
cards being inserted.
To address this problem, let's start relying on that the rtsx USB driver
runtime resumes its child device, which is the rtsx_usb_sdmmc device, when
it detects that a new card being inserted.
This means dropping MMC_CAP_NEEDS_POLL from being set during probe. Instead
let's implement a ->runtime_resume() callback to schedule a detect work and
to set MMC_CAP_NEEDS_POLL. In this way, polling is enabled as long as there
is card inserted, thus we can rely on the mmc core to detect also when the
card becomes removed.
Furthermore, to avoid polling forever after a card has been removed, let's
implement a ->runtime_suspend() callback and make it clear
MMC_CAP_NEEDS_POLL.

The current implementation uses the runtime PM autosuspend feature with a
default timeout set to 50ms. This really doesn't makes sense, as it's a USB
driven host device, which needs it rtsx USB device (parent device) to be
runtime resumed to provide power to the card.
In practise, using the autosuspend or any async runtime PM suspend method,
means unnecessary delaying the host device and thus the parent, to be
runtime suspended when a card is removed/powered off. For this reasons,
let's simply drop the support for runtime PM autosuspend and tell the mmc
core to use synced runtime PM suspend methods, via setting
MMC_CAP_SYNC_RUNTIME_PM during probe.
Moreover, as the mmc core nowadays deploys runtime PM reference counting of
the mmc host device, convert ->set_ios() to use the more lightweight
pm_runtime_get_noresume() and pm_runtime_put_noidle() APIs.

In case the card has been powered off, it seems silly to continue to allow
the led to be updated. Instead let's forbid that, as it enables us to
prevent runtime resuming the device and thus avoids wasting energy.

The Clock Data Recovery (CDR) circuit allows to automatically adjust
the RX sampling-point/phase for high frequency cards (SDR104, HS200...).
CDR is automatically enabled during DLL configuration.
However, according to the APQ8016 reference manual, this function
must be disabled during TX and tuning phase in order to prevent any
interferences during tuning challenges and unexpected phase alteration
during TX transfers.
This patch enables/disables CDR according to the current transfer mode.
This fixes sporadic write transfer issues observed with some SDR104 and
HS200 cards.

After converting the PXA driver to use GPIO descriptors for
card detect and write protect it is relatively simple to
convert it to also use a descriptor for getting the optional
power control GPIO.
The polarity inversion flag can also go away from the platform
data since this is indicated in the GPIO machine descriptor
table.

This deletes the code dealing with handling card detect
and write protect passed in as platform data and makes
the host rely on just GPIO descriptors.
The card read only inversion flag has to be kept around
for now, as the core cannot handle the inversion flags
on the descriptors yet.
Since we can now rely on the descriptors to have the
right polarity, we set the "override_active_level" to
false in mmc_gpiod_request_cd() and mmc_gpiod_request_ro().

This implements the code path for the PXAMCI hostso that
it can retrieve GPIO descriptors rather than use the
global GPIO numberspace for GPIO lines. If the GPIO
descriptor is present, it will take precedence and get
used in place of the platform data GPIO number.
We move the code around a bit so we request the card
detect first and the write protect second.
We keep the code setting the host flag for the write
protect polarity inversion semantics since the slot
GPIO core needs to be refactored to deal with this
before we can get rid of this.

Simplify things by making the S3CMCI driver just use
slot GPIO with descriptors instead of passing around the
global GPIO numbers that we want to get rid of.
Getting the names of the GPIO chips into the machine
descriptor tables was a bit of a challenge but I think
I have them right.
The platform data supports passing in inversion flags, but
no platform is using them, and it is highly unlikely
that we will add more, so drop them. The long term plan
is to let the inversion flags on the GPIO machine
descriptor do the job.
The lines are flagged as GPIO_ACTIVE_[LOW|HIGH] as that is
what they are, and since we can now rely on the descriptors
to have the right polarity, we set the
"override_active_level" to false in mmc_gpiod_request_cd()
and mmc_gpiod_request_ro().

card detect. It turns out only one single board in the kernel
was actually making use of this feature so it is pretty easy
to convert the driver to use only GPIO descriptors.
The lines are flagged as GPIO_ACTIVE_[LOW|HIGH] as that is
what they are, and since we can now rely on the descriptors
to have the right polarity, we set the
"override_active_level" to false in mmc_gpiod_request_cd()
and mmc_gpiod_request_ro().

Switch the SPI MMC driver to use GPIO descriptors internally
and just look those up using the standard slot GPIO
functions mmc_gpiod_request_cd() and mmc_gpiod_request_ro().
Make sure to request index 0 and 1 in accordance with the
SPI MMC DT binding, and add the same GPIOs in machine
descriptor tables on all boards that use SPI MMC in
board files.
The lines are flagged as GPIO_ACTIVE_[LOW|HIGH] as that is
what they are, and since we can now rely on the descriptors

devm_kasprintf() may return NULL on failure of internal allocation thus
the assignments to init.name are not safe if not checked. On error
meson_mx_mmc_register_clks() returns negative values so -ENOMEM in the
(unlikely) failure case of devm_kasprintf() should be fine here.

This was a SoC issue on LX2160A Rev1.0.
eSDHC_DLLCFG1[DLL_PD_PULSE_STRETCH_SEL] must be set to 0 to
get 4 delay cells in the pulse width detection logic for eMMC
HS400 mode. Otherwise it would cause unexpected HS400 issue.
This patch is to clear this bit always for affected SoC when
reset for all, since this bit doesn't affect other speed modes.

Currently only LX2160A eSDHC supports eMMC HS400. According to
a large number of tests, eMMC HS400 failed to work at 150MHz,
and for a few boards failed to work at 175MHz. But eMMC HS400
worked fine on 200MHz. We hadn't found the root cause but
setting eSDHC_DLLCFG0[DLL_FREQ_SEL] = 0 using slow delay chain
seemed to resovle this issue. Let's use this as fixup for now.

There are timing violations in case of few division ratio options
are selected for card clock frequency. prescaler*divisor options
/3,/5,/6,/7,/9,/10,/11,/13,/14 and /15 are not available in LX2
Rev1.0. prescaler*divisor options /4,/8 and /12 only available in
LX2 Rev1.0. Applicable only for HS400 mode. so by add the erratum
A011334 support to limit the prescaler*divisor in LX2 REV1.0

The problem seems to be related to how pre_req/post_req is implemented.
Currently, it seems the driver expects jz4740_mmc_prepare_dma_data() to be
called with monotonically increasing host_cookie values, which is wrong.
Moreover, the implementation is overly complicated, keeping track of
unneeded "next cookie" state.
So, instead of attempting to fix the current pre_req/post_req
implementation, this commit refactors the driver, dropping the state,
following other drivers such as dw_mmc and sdhci.

Some variants (namely Renesas SDHI) have bits in the STATS and IRQ_MASK
registers which are 'always 1' and should be written as such. Introduce
a seperate mask for this and apply it whenever such a register is
written.

The Renesas BSP confirms that H3 ES1.x and M3-W ES1.[012] do not
properly support HS400. Add a quirk to indicate this and disable HS400
in the MMC capabilities if the quirk is set.

It was though all ES revisions of H3 and M3-W SoCs required the
TMIO_MMC_HAVE_4TAP_HS400 flag. Recent datasheet updates tells us this is
not true, only early ES revisions of the SoC do.
Since quirk matching based on ES revisions is now used to handle the
flag it's possible to align all Gen3 compatibility properties. This will
allow later ES revisions of H3 and M3-W to use the correct 8-tap HS400
mode.

Latest datasheet makes it clear that not all ES revisions of the H3 and
M3-W have the 4-tap HS400 mode quirk, currently the quirk is set
unconditionally for these two SoCs. Prepare to handle the quirk based on
SoC revision instead of compatibility value by using soc_device_match()
and set the TMIO_MMC_HAVE_4TAP_HS400 flag explicitly.
The reason for adding a new quirks struct instead of just a flag is that
looking ahead it seems more quirks needs to be handled in a SoC revision
basis.

The initial value of the interrupt mask register may be different from
the H/W manual at the startup of the kernel by setting from the
bootloader. Since the error interrupts may be unmasked, the driver sets
initial value.
The initial value is only known for R-Car Gen2 and Gen3 platforms so
limit the initialization to those platforms.

SD / MMC did not operate properly when suspend transition failed.
Because the SCC was not reset at resume, issue of the command failed.
Call the host specific reset function and reset the hardware in order to
add reset of SCC. This change also fixes tuning on some stubborn cards
on Gen2.

On runtime power management resume, the host clock needs to be
enabled before calling tmio_mmc_reset. If the mmc device has a power
domain entry, the host clock is enabled via genpd_runtime_resume,
running before tmio_mmc_host_runtime_resume. If the mmc device has no
power domain entry, however, genpd_runtime_resume is not called. This
patch changes tmio_mmc_host_runtime_resume to enable the host clock
before calling tmio_mmc_reset.

If the user issues an "mmc extcsd read", the SD controller receives
what it thinks is a SEND_IF_COND command with an unexpected data block.
The resulting operations leave the FSM stuck in READWAIT, a state which
persists until the MMC framework resets the controller, by which point
the root filesystem is likely to have been unmounted.
A less heavyweight solution is to detect the condition and nudge the
FSM by asserting the (self-clearing) FORCE_DATA_MODE bit.

The bcm2835 mmc host tends to lock up for unknown reason so reset it on
timeout. The upper mmc block layer tries retransimitting with single
blocks which tends to work out after a long wait.
This is better than giving up and leaving the machine broken for no
obvious reason.

Simplify things by making the i.MX SDHCI driver just use
slot GPIO with descriptors instead of passing around the global
GPIO numbers that we want to get rid of.
As it turns out, just one single board is using the platform
data to pass in GPIOs numbers for CD and WP, so we augment this
to use a machine descriptor table instead.

The power GPIO line is passed with inversion flags and all from
the platform data. Switch to using an optional GPIO descriptor and
use this to switch the power.
Augment the only boardfile to pass in the proper "power" descriptor
in the GPIO descriptor machine table instead.
As the GPIO handling is now much simpler, we can cut down on some
overhead code.

Modifty the JZ4740 driver to retrieve card detect and write
protect GPIO pins from GPIO descriptors instead of hard-coded
global numbers. Augment the only board file using this in the
process and cut down on passed in platform data.
Preserve the code setting the caps2 flags for CD and WP
as active low or high since the slot GPIO code currently
ignores the gpiolib polarity inversion semantice and uses
the raw accessors to read the GPIO lines, but set the right
polarity flags in the descriptor table for jz4740.

On few SDHCI-MSM controllers, the host controller's clock tuning
circuit may go out of sync if controller clocks are gated which
eventually will result in data CRC, command CRC/timeout errors.
To overcome this h/w limitation, the DLL needs to be re-initialized
and restored with its old settings once clocks are ungated.

If the host controller supports auto-commands then enable the auto-command
error interrupt and handle it. In the case of auto-CMD23, the error is
treated the same as manual CMD23 error. In the case of auto-CMD12,
commands-during-transfer are not permitted, so the error handling is
treated the same as a data error.

The SDHCI_ACMD12_ERR register is used for auto-CMD23 and auto-CMD12
errors, as is the SDHCI_INT_ACMD12ERR interrupt bit. Rename them to
SDHCI_AUTO_CMD_STATUS and SDHCI_INT_AUTO_CMD_ERR respectively.

Existing data command CRC error handling is non-standard and does not work
with some Intel host controllers. Specifically, the assumption that the host
controller will continue operating normally after the error interrupt,
is not valid. Change the driver to handle the error in the same manner
as a data CRC error, taking care to ensure that the data line reset is
done for single or multi-block transfers, and it is done before
unmapping DMA.

The manual does not contain information that a wait is needed in the
tuning process, this might be a leftover from early development.
Removing the wait don't have any effect on operation so delete the wait
to shorten the initialization time.

The driver sets an incorrect clock and depends on the clock driver
knowledge of this incorrect setting to still set a 200Mhz SDn clock.
Instead of spreading the workaround between the two drivers the clock
driver should be made aware of the ES versions where the special clock
handling is needed no need to keep this workaround in the SDHI driver.

Commit 7d33c35815 ("mmc: sdhci-omap: Workaround for Errata i802")
disabled DCRC interrupts during tuning. This write to the interrupt
enable register gets overwritten in sdhci_prepare_data() and the
interrupt is not in fact disabled. Fix this by disabling the interrupt
in the host->ier variable.

Since v2.6.22 or so there has been reports [1] about OMAP MMC being
broken on OMAP15XX based hardware (OMAP5910 and OMAP310). The breakage
seems to have been caused by commit 46a6730e3f ("mmc-omap: Fix
omap to use MMC_POWER_ON") that changed clock enabling to be done
on MMC_POWER_ON. This can happen multiple times in a row, and on 15XX
the hardware doesn't seem to like it and the MMC just stops responding.
Fix by memorizing the power mode and do the init only when necessary.

GLK firmware can indicate that the tuning value will be restored after
runtime suspend, but not actually do that. Add a workaround that detects
such cases, and lets the driver do re-tuning instead.

Problem:
The card detect IRQ does not work with modern BIOS (that want
to use _DSD to provide the card detect GPIO to the driver).
Details:
The mmc core provides the mmc_gpiod_request_cd() API to let host drivers
request the gpio descriptor for the "card detect" pin.
This pin is specified in the ACPI for the SDHC device:
* Either as a resource using _CRS. This is a method used by legacy BIOS.
(The driver needs to tell which resource index).
* Or as a named property ("cd-gpios"/"cd-gpio") in _DSD (which internally
points to an entry in _CRS). This way, the driver can lookup using a
string. This is what modern BIOS prefer to use.
This API finally results in a call to the following code:

Note that this means that if the ACPI has _DSD properties, the kernel
will never use _CRS for the lookup (Because acpi_can_fallback_to_crs()
will always be false for any device hat has _DSD entries).
The SDHCI driver is thus currently broken on a modern BIOS, even if
BIOS provides both _CRS (for index based lookup) and _DSD entries (for
string based lookup). Ironically, none of these will be used for the
lookup currently because:
* Since the con_id is NULL, acpi_find_gpio() does not find a matching
entry in DSDT. (The _DSDT entry has the property name = "cd-gpios")
* Because ACPI contains DSDT entries, thus acpi_can_fallback_to_crs()
returns false (because device properties have been populated from
_DSD), thus the _CRS is never used for the lookup.
Fix:
Try "cd" for lookup in the _DSD before falling back to using NULL so
as to try looking up in the _CRS.
I've tested this patch successfully with both Legacy BIOS (that
provide only _CRS method) as well as modern BIOS (that provide both
_CRS and _DSD). Also the use of "cd" appears to be fairly consistent
across other users of this API (other MMC host controller drivers).

when msdc_cmd_is_ready return fail, the req_timeout work has not been
inited and cancel_delayed_work() will return false, then, the request
return directly and never call mmc_request_done().

Once DMA is enabled, it is not possible to disable it because
uniphier_sd_dma_endisable() always sets the DMA_ENABLE_DMASDRW bit
regardless of the argument 'enable'. It should disable DMA when
'enable' is false.

host->chan_{rx,tx} represents the DMA capability of the platform.
Even if DMA is supported, there are cases where we want to use PIO,
for example, data length is short enough as commit 5f52c35529
("mmc: tmio: use PIO for short transfers") mentioned.
Regarding the hardware control flow, we are interested in whether DMA
is currently enabled or not, instead of whether the platform has the
DMA capability.
Hence, the several conditionals in tmio_mmc_core.c end up with
checking host->chan_{rx,tx} and !host->force_pio. This is not nice.
Let's flip the flag host->force_pio into host->dma_on.
host->dma_on represents whether the DMA is currently enabled or not.
This flag is set false in the beginning of each command, then should
be set true by tmio_mmc_start_dma() when the DMA is turned on.

TMIO_MMC_HAVE_HIGH_REG is confusing due to its counter-intuitive name.
All the TMIO MMC variants (TMIO MMC, Renesas SDHI, UniPhier SD) actually
have high registers. It is just that each of them implements its own
registers there. The original IP from Panasonic only defines registers
0x00-0xff in the bus_shift=1 review. The register area above them is
platform-dependent.
In fact, TMIO_MMC_HAVE_HIGH_REG is set only by tmio-mmc.c and used to
test the accessibility of CTL_SDIO_REGS. Because it is specific to
the TMIO MFD variant, the right thing to do is to move such registers
to tmio_mmc.c and delete the TMIO_MMC_HAVE_HIGH_REG flag.

The RZ/G1C (a.k.a. R8A77470) comes with three SDHI interfaces,
SDHI0 and SDHI2 are compatible with the R-Car Gen2 SDHIs, SDHI1
is compatible with R-Car Gen3 SDHIs and it can be used as
eMMC as well. This patch adds driver compatibility, and makes
sure both drivers get compiled for the R8A77470.

Introduces a new Manufacturer id "0x53, ascii 'S' to define
new stm32 sdmmc family with clean range of amba
revision/configurations bits (corresponding to sdmmc_ver
register with major/minor fields).
Add 2 variants properties:
-dma_lli, to enable link list support.
-stm32_idmabsize_mask, defines the range of SDMMC_IDMABSIZER register
which specify the number bytes per buffer.

This patch creates a common mmci_dma_setup/release which calls
dma_setup/release callbacks of mmci_host_ops and manages
common features like use_dma... If there is a fallbacks to
pio mode, dma functions must check use_dma.
error management:
-mmci_dmae_setup fail if Tx and Rx dma channels are not defined
-qcom_dma_setup fail if one of both dma channels is not defined,
Qcom has no specific resource to release, just mmci dmae resource.

The current arasan sdhci PHY configuration isn't compatible
with the PHY on TI's AM654 devices.
Therefore, add a new compatible, AM654 specific quirks
and a new AM654 specific set_clock function which

Currently, the driver passes platform data as a global structure
and uses the .data of of_device_id to pass the soc_ctl_map. To
make the implementation more flexible add a single data structure
that incorporates both of the above and pass it in the .data of

The OMAP HSMMC driver has some elaborate and hairy handling for
passing GPIO card detect and write protect lines from a boardfile
into the driver: the machine defines a struct omap2_hsmmc_info
that is copied into struct omap_hsmmc_platform_data by
omap_hsmmc_pdata_init() in arch/arm/mach-omap2/hsmmc.c.
However the .gpio_cd and .gpio_wp fields are not copied from
omap2_hsmmc_info to omap_hsmmc_platform_data by
omap_hsmmc_pdata_init() so they remain unused. The only platform
defining omap2_hsmmc_info also define both to -1, unused.
It turn out there are no boardfiles passing any valid GPIO
lines into the OMAP HSMMC driver at all. And since we are not
going to add any more OMAP2 boardfiles, we can delete this
card detect and write protect handling altogether.
This seems to also fix a bug: the card detect callback
mmc_gpio_get_cd() in the slot GPIO core needs to be called
by drivers utilizing slot GPIO. It appears the the boardfile
quirks were not doing this right, so this would only get
called for boardfiles, i.e. since no boardfile was using it,
never.
Just assign mmc_gpio_get_cd() unconditionally to omap_hsmmc_ops
.get_cd() so card detects from the device tree works.
AFAICT card detect with GPIO lines assigned from
mmc_of_parse() are not working at the moment, but that is
no regression since it probably never worked.

Cover detection appears to be a feature protecting the SD
card on mobile phones with a slide-cover, such as some Nokia
phones. The idea seems to be to not allow access to the
SD card when the cover is open.
It is only usable with platform data from board files, but
no board file in the kernel is using it, yet it takes up
a sizeable chunk of code in the OMAP HSMMC driver.
Since we do not add new board files for the OMAPs any target
that need this should anyway reimplement it properly using
the device tree, so delete this legacy code.
The driver is marked as orphan in MAINTAINERS by the way.

This driver is complicating things for no reason: the "cd"
GPIO can easily be retrieved from the device tree if present
using just mmc_gpiod_request_cd(), which will fetch the
descriptor from the device tree using the standard binding
just fine.
If the retrieveal is successful, we also request the IRQ.
As a result the private subdriver data can be removed
entirely.

The platform data for the PXAv3 driver allows passing a card
detect GPIO, but this code is not used in the kernel.
In order to not encourage the use of the old global GPIO
numberspace we need to remove this.
Card detect (and write protect) GPIO can easily be added into
the driver using machine descriptor tables instead, and the
descriptor-based (gpiod) variants of the slot GPIO APIs.

All the machines using the MMCI are passing GPIOs for the
card detect and write protect using the device tree or
descriptor table (one single case, Integrator/AP IM-PD1).
Drop support for passing global GPIO numbers through
platform data, noone is using it.

The eMMC controller is also a new timing mode controller, but it doesn't
have the timing mode switch. It does however have signal delay and
calibration controls, typical of Allwinner MMC controllers that support
the new timing mode.
Enable the new timing mode setting for the A64 eMMC controller. This
also enables MMC HS-DDR modes, which gives higher throughput for eMMC
chips that support it, and can deliver such throughput.

Newer sunxi mmc controller variants support what they call the "new
timing mode". Support for this was implemented in two ways, according
to the hardware that was seen at the time.
The first type retained the old timing mode, and both the clock and mmc
controllers had switches to select which mode was used. Both switches
had to be set to the same setting. This variant was denoted with the
.has_timings_switch field in the sunxi_mmc_cfg structure. This hardware
is only seen on the A83T.
The second type did away with the old timing mode. The clock controller
no longer had the mode selection or clock delay setting bits. In some
cases the mmc controller retained its mode selection bit, but this
always needed to be set to the new mode, or instabilities would occur.
In a few cases, such as the A64 and H6 eMMC controller, the mode
selection bit is gone, but the controller still behaves like the new
timing mode, requiring the module clock to be double the card clock
in DDR transfer modes. This variant is denoted with the
.needs_new_timings field.
This patch adds more comments explaining the two fields, as well as
the possibly nonexistent mode switch in the mmc controller.
The .has_timings_switch is renamed to .ccu_has_timings_switch to clarify
its meaning.

Interface compliant controller found in some latest Spreadtrum chipsets.
This patch has been tested on the version of SPRD-R11 controller.
R11 is a variant based on SD v4.0 specification.
With this driver, R11 mmc can be initialized, can be mounted, read and

When Host Version 4 Enable is set to 1, SDMA uses ADMA System Address
register (05Fh-058h) instead of using register (000h-004h) to indicate
its system address of data location. The register (000h-004h) is
re-assigned to 32-bit Block Count and Auto CMD23 argument, so then SDMA
may use Auto CMD23.

As SD Host Controller Specification v4.10 documents:
Host Controller Version 4.10 defines this "Auto CMD Auto Select" mode.
Selection of Auto CMD depends on setting of CMD23 Enable in the Host
Control 2 register which indicates whether card supports CMD23. If CMD23
Enable =1, Auto CMD23 is used and if CMD23 Enable =0, Auto CMD12 is
used. In case of Version 4.10 or later, use of Auto CMD Auto Select is
recommended rather than use of Auto CMD12 Enable or Auto CMD23
Enable.
This patch add this new mode support.

Host Controller Version 4.10 re-defines SDMA System Address register
as 32-bit Block Count for v4 mode, and SDMA uses ADMA System
Address register (05Fh-058h) instead if v4 mode is enabled. Also
when using 32-bit block count, 16-bit block count register need
to be set to zero.
Since using 32-bit Block Count would cause problems for auto-cmd23,
it can be chosen via host->quirk2.

So there are two kinds of descriptors for ADMA2 64-bit addressing
i.e. 96-bit Descriptor for V3 mode, and 128-bit Descriptor for V4
mode. 128-bit Descriptor is aligned to 8-byte.
For V4 mode, ADMA2 64-bit addressing is enabled via Host Control 2
register.

According to the SD host controller specification version 4.10, when
Host Version 4 is enabled, SDMA uses ADMA System Address register
(05Fh-058h) instead of using SDMA System Address register to
support both 32-bit and 64-bit addressing.

Implement tegra210_sdhci_writew() to disable card clock and issue a
reset when the tuning command is sent. This is done to prevent an
intermittent hang with around 10 % failure rate during tuning.
Add tegra186_sdhci_ops because this workaround is specific to Tegra210.

tegra_sdhci_writew() defers the write to SDHCI_TRANSFER_MODE until
SDHCI_COMMAND is written. This is not necessary on Tegra210 and Tegra186
and it breaks read-modify-write operations on SDHCI_TRANSFER_MODE
because writes to SDHCI_TRANSFER_MODE aren't visible until SDHCI_COMMAND
has been written to. This results in tuning failures on Tegra210.

Automatic pad drive strength calibration is performed on a separate pad
identical to the ones used for driving the actual bus. Power on the
calibration pad during the calibration procedure and power it off
afterwards to save power.

Parse the pinctrl state and nvidia,only-1-8-v properties from the device
tree. Validate the pinctrl and regulator configuration before unmasking
UHS modes. Implement pad voltage state reconfiguration in the mmc
start_signal_voltage_switch() callback. Add NVQUIRK_NEEDS_PAD_CONTROL
and add set it for Tegra210 and Tegra186.
The pad configuration is done in the mmc callback because the order of
pad reconfiguration and sdhci voltage switch depend on the voltage to
which the transition occurs.

After host requests RESET_FOR_ALL action, the hardware output an
interrupt for OS and waiting for the OS to approve.
Before writing this fix, ACPI GED has handled the interrupt. But
the ACPI GED belongs to a slow process, and sometimes the handling
process time is more than 100ms(Mutex wait more than 100ms). So
drop the GED solution and add this quirk fix.

In tuning mode of operation, when TBCTL[TB_EN] is set, eSDHC may report
one of the following errors :
1)Tuning error while running tuning operation where SYSCTL2[SAMPCLKSEL]
will not get set even when SYSCTL2[EXTN] is reset. OR
2)Data transaction error (e.g. IRQSTAT[DCE], IRQSTAT[DEBE]) during data
transaction errors.
This issue occurs when the data window sampled within eSDHC is in full
cycle. So, in that case, eSDHC is not able to find out the start and
end points of the data window and sets the sampling pointer at default
location (which is middle of the internal SD clock). If this sampling
point coincides with the data eye boundary, then it can result in the
above mentioned errors. Impact: Tuning mode of operation for SDR50,
SDR104 or HS200 speed modes may not work properly
Workaround: In case eSDHC reports tuning error or data errors in tuning
mode of operation, by add the erratum A008171 support to fix the issue.

Here is another TMIO MMC variant found in Socionext UniPhier SoCs.
As commit b6147490e6 ("mmc: tmio: split core functionality, DMA and
MFD glue") said, these MMC controllers use the IP from Panasonic.
However, the MMC controller in the TMIO (Toshiba Mobile IO) MFD chip
was the first upstreamed user of this IP. The common driver code
for this IP is now called 'tmio-mmc-core' in Linux although it is a
historical misnomer.
Anyway, this driver select's MMC_TMIO_CORE to borrow the common code
from tmio-mmc-core.c
Older UniPhier SoCs (LD4, Pro4, sLD8) support the external DMA engine
like renesas_sdhi_sys_dmac.c. The difference is UniPhier SoCs use a
single DMA channel whereas Renesas chips request separate channels for
RX and TX.
Newer UniPhier SoCs (Pro5 and later) support the internal DMA engine
like renesas_sdhi_internal_dmac.c The register map is almost the same,
so I guess Renesas and Socionext use the same internal DMA hardware.
The main difference is, the register offsets are doubled for Renesas.

This comes from the difference of host->bus_shift; 2 for Renesas SoCs,
and 1 for UniPhier SoCs. Also, the datasheet for UniPhier SoCs defines
DM_DTRAN_ADDR and DM_DTRAN_ADDREX as two separate registers.
It could be possible to factor out the DMA common code by introducing
some hooks to cope with platform quirks, but this patch does not touch
that for now.

tmio_mmc_set_clock() is full of quirks because different SoC vendors
extended this in different ways.
The original IP defines the divisor range 1/2 ... 1/512.
bit 7 is set: 1/512
bit 6 is set: 1/256
...
bit 0 is set: 1/4
all bits clear: 1/2
It is platform-dependent how to achieve the 1/1 clock.
I guess the TMIO-MFD variant uses the clock selector outside of this IP,
as far as I see tmio_core_mmc_clk_div() in drivers/mfd/tmio_core.c
I guess bit[7:0]=0xff is Renesas-specific extension.
Socionext (and Panasonic) uses bit 10 (CLKSEL) for 1/1. Also, newer
versions of UniPhier SoC variants use bit 16 for 1/1024.
host->clk_update() is only used by the Renesas variants, whereas
host->set_clk_div() is only used by the TMIO-MFD variants.
To cope with this mess, promote tmio_mmc_set_clock() to a new
platform hook ->set_clock(), and melt the old two hooks into it.

Use the new of_get_compatible_child() helper to lookup the slot child
node instead of using of_find_compatible_node(), which searches the
entire tree from a given start node and thus can return an unrelated
(i.e. non-child) node.
This also addresses a potential use-after-free (e.g. after probe
deferral) as the tree-wide helper drops a reference to its first
argument (i.e. the node of the device being probed).
While at it, also fix up the related slot-node reference leak.

I have encountered an interrupt storm during the eMMC chip probing (and
the chip finally didn't get detected). It turned out that U-Boot left
the SDHI DMA interrupts enabled while the Linux driver didn't use those.
Masking those interrupts in renesas_sdhi_internal_dmac_request_dma() gets
rid of both issues...

The conversion to sg_copy_{from,to}_buffer has been done in the wrong
way. sg_copy_to_buffer is a copy from an SG list to a linear buffer so
it can't replace memcpy(dest, host->virt_base, data->sg->length) where
dest is the virtual address of the SG. Same for sg_copy_from_buffer
but in the opposite way.

When tuning each tap is issued CMD19 twice and the result of both runs
recorded in host->taps. If the result is different between the two runs
the wrong sampling clock position was selected. Fix this by merging the
two runs and only keep the result for each tap if it was good in both
sets.

If the return value of mmc_send_tuning() is error other than -EILSEQ,
the tuning fails and process goes out of for_loop. The correct
processing is to judge their TAP as not good (NG) and continue.

Recent Linux versions refuse to print actual virtual kernel addresses,
to not give a hint about the location of the kernel in a randomized virtual
address space. This affects the output of the sunxi MMC controller
driver, which now produces the rather uninformative line:

Since the virtual base address is not really interesting in the first
place, let's just drop this value. The same applies to Linux' notion of
the interrupt number, which is independent from the GIC SPI number.
We have the physical address as part of the DT node name, which is way
more useful for debugging purposes.
To keep a success message in the driver, we make this purpose explicit
with the word "initialized", plus print some information that is not too
obvious and that we learned while probing the device:
the maximum request size and whether it uses the new timing mode.
So the output turns into:

Some Allwinner boards feature an on-board eMMC with fixed 3.3V voltage
(e.g. Banana Pi M2+), and in this case both the eMMC and the SoC are
capable of doing 3.3V DDR transmission.
Add capability of 3.3V DDR when DDR is available (extra clock or new
timing).

As a first step to improve the variant specific code for mmci, add a
->dma_setup() callback to the struct mmci_host_ops.
To show its use, let's deploy the callback for the qcom dml, which involves
also to the assign the mmci_host_ops pointer from the variant ->init()
callback.

To be able to better support different mmci variants, we need to be able to
use variant specific callbacks, rather than continue to sprinkle the code
with additional variant data. To move in this direction, let's add an
optional ->init() callback to the variant data struct, which variants shall
use to assign the mmci_host_ops pointer.
Using an ->init() callback enables us to partition the code between
different files. To allow separate mmci variant files to implement the
variant specifics, let's also move the definition of the struct
variant_data to the common mmci header file.

Tegra SDHCI controllers require the SDHCI clock divider to be configured
to divide the clock by two in DDR50/52 modes. Incorrectly configured
clock divider results in corrupted data.
Prevent the possibility of incorrectly calculating the divider value due
to clock rate rounding or low parent clock frequency by not assigning
host->max_clk to clk_get_rate() on tegra_sdhci_set_clock().

When use eMMC as boot device, the eMMC signaling voltage is tied to 1.8v
fixed output voltage, bios can set o2 sd host controller PCI configuration
register 0x308 bit4 to 1 to let driver skip 3.3v signaling voltage and
direct use 1.8v singling voltage in eMMC initialize process.
